Six years! Wifey being beaten for past six years. Where was governor intervention 2 years ago? 3 years ago? Etc? And what about the numerous wives being beaten in state, on whose behalf Mr Gov did not intervene? And what happens when they go home and a few weeks later, Mr Husband starts all over again? Where does it go from that point? 1 Like |

Now that you know she has been taking advantage of you, set boundaries and do not allow yourself to be manipulated. You should always be professional in a workplace. If you let your personal feelings to be clouded, issues can arise. Be thankful that she did not accuse you falsely of something, for example sexual harassment. |

Just reading your post and wondering if there are any underlying issues in your past or your family's past that is leading you to draw such a flabbergasting conclusion on your touchy feely mom. In the absence of any compelling and credible evidence to substantiate your claims, my two pence of advice is for you to seek professional medical counselling before, you destroy the relationships with your hubby and your mom. Enough said. |

Wow!! The fact that as a wife, you do not see anything wrong with the financial burden that your husband has been shouldering, reveals that your moral compass is completely maladjusted. Are you even thinking of your future together with your hubby? How bills will be paid? How savings will be made? Oh, I forgot, you have no job so you will be living off this sad poor man, and your family will do the same, and the burden will grind him down into dust along with potential medical issues. Yet you see nothing wrong. Well, just hurry up and find a job and start shelling out your money to your parents and brother, even more than your man did for you during the marriage ceremony. Maybe then, you will smell the coffee, because right now madam, it appears you are living in cuckoo land. 5 Likes |

All Mrs Governor needs to do is to look around her at other states, look at other countries governors wives and re-examine the implications of her statement. You have to wonder though that with this type of mentality, in the corridors of power, what hope do the citizens of the state have, especially the girl child? Widows? Single mothers? Sad and shameful. The proverbial ostrich with its head hidden in the sand and the rest of its body out there in the open. 3 Likes |

Bros, stick by your guns. You done nothing wrong, and you are trying to manage scarce resources for your family. It is the one who wears the shoe, that knows where it pinches. I am sorry to say your Mrs sounds unreasonable with her request. You on the other hand are a forward thinking person. You need to outline the pros and cons of your decision to her, rather than being critical, she should support your decisions. 31 Likes 3 Shares |

So tell us, if you dont find similar or worse behaviour among agberos in motorparks, or area boys hustling and doing their thing, in various countries? Saying Ghanaians are mean over an incident you saw, and dont know its root cause, is like saying all 9ja youths are yahoo boys, because you heard a 9ja guy conned someone. 4 Likes 1 Share |

There is no dignity or learning to be gained from this picture. We know racism exists. As black people in a world where black people are mostly disrespected and treated badly, we do ourselves a disservice when we post pictures like these. Why not post pictures that enhance and celebrate our culture and ourselves as black people? 3 Likes 1 Share |

Am trying so hard not to picture this. There is nothing as repulsive and disgusting as an old woman past her sell by date, trying to create attention for herself by referring to her old gray hairy down below. Yuck!!! |

Stories like this, is why I think nairaland has no credibility. This is beyond the depth of ignorance. I can only compare the author of this story to a person so overwhelmed by personal challenges, that he or she feels the need to seek attention and spout unforgivable trash. |

Putting your picture in any public online forum is like opening the doors of your home to the public and inviting them to come and look at you, akin to going to the zoo to look at animals. |

Just read your story Bro, so sorry for such a sad episode. It is irrelevant what people think or believe. You know what happened and how you felt when it happened. Maximum respect to you for sharing such a traumatic experience. Please consider counselling if, that may help assuage the pain and grief of that horrible experience. Also, remember not all kids are so mean and so vicious. You never know, you might run into these shameless hussies one day. If you do, you step, stand tall, walk straight and look them in the eye, and tell yourself, I am still standing tall and strong. The shame will remain deep with them. It might even be visited on their offspring, you never know. 1 Like |

What we have here is a VULNERABLE young girl, emotionally immature with a crush on her teacher. Here, we have a teacher, who is in a position of trust, and is contemplating abusing that trust. You may not see it now or understand now, but wait till you become a parent with a teenage daughter, and when a lust crazed teacher or young man takes advantage of your teen daughter and violates your teen daughter, you will then experience the greatest moment of clarity in your life. 1 Like |

Real shame about what now . Being a UK copper was a damn good fine job, with solid money. At least £40k a year easy, with extra benefits. Thinking that the grass was greener on the other side was the grandmother of all mistakes. With that hanky panky under the blanket in 9ja big brother house and the negative publicity generated as well as behaving in a way that might be construed as bringing the Met Police into disrepute, getting a juicy job like that again is going to take a triple miracle. |

When I first moved to UK, i was working as a frontline staff in one of Heathrow Airport Terminals. I used to work out so I was very buff. One night working late, I see this oyinbo guy wandering around the terminal with his two minders. I was in the process of assisting some passengers whose flight was cancelled with the checkin crew closed for the night. So in my going up and down the terminal floor between the duty office and the passengers, I run into this oyinbo guy several times. Everytime he smiled and winked at me, I just smiled back (no teeth showing smile). Then, a bit later when the activities had slowed down, being quite late, oyinbo man comes to my counter with his minders. I was alone, and he starts a chat, which I respond to professionally. After, a bit of banter, the man just drops it on me. He likes me, he thinks me and him can be a team. He brings out his wallet and shows me. It is full of £50 notes. I was completely taken aback. I looked at his minders, they were smiling encouragingly at me. I thought to myself. Heck No! I dont do back door entry. I smiled and told him, I was not that way inclined and I was not interested but thanks for his compliments. I then turned to a colleague approaching and began to speak with him. The oyinbo guy lost interest and left with his minders. When I told my colleague (Jamaican guy), he was livid. Started swearing (blood claaat, batty bwoy, etc) and wanted to go give the oyinbo guy a beat down. I just told him to forget it. That was not the only time I was propositioned. |
