Good morning, from my little knowledge, there isn't an upload option for proof of funds/bank statement unlike other visa application......but I think at the tail end there is an option of letter of explanation/client information under other documents section, you can upload what ever you deem fit that will support your document in there.

This nor be prayer matter, pay their bills joor!

Being slow could also be a sign that your hdd needs replacement. As the computer works, there is a read and write operation on the magnetic disk, with time the disk gets deteriorated and would require replacement. This is however not the case for solid state drives.

I think this would depend on the college. Contact the college's admissions office by via email to confirm.

It shouldn’t. When i applied for mine,my salary account was less than 100k. You can also include 6 months payslip as a proof of earnings. But state in your letter of explanation that your sponsor would be responsible for funding your trip, living and school bills. Your sponsor should also write you a letter of sponsorship, stating his relationship and what he plans to cover.

I would advise you link your application to your cic profile. The email linked to the profile would be contacted if your attention is needed.

If you're applying via paper route, you would submit your passport alongside your application. For online, it would be requested when you've scaled through.

I don't know if it is necessary to mention anything about study leave. When I was applying I presented an introduction letter from my organization addressed to the embassy stating when I was employed, my current position and renumerations. Also I included 6 months payslips, 6 months bank statement where I get paid, my first offer letter and my latest promotion letter. At the time, I figured i didn't need to complicate my application saying anything about study leave.

That too would work. Even before he gets to Canada, depending on which one he is more comfortable with. You really don’t have much to justify and might not even get a question at point of entry.

I am comfortable with getting to Canada first oh.. Before stories that touch start. Lol!

If you apply for admission and get an acceptance from another school, you can. You cannot simply switch. You have to be accepted first to a school and then you can switch. So if another school accepts and gives you admission, that is all it takes to switch. Go to your online profile of CIC and make that switch here in Nigeria before leaving or when you get to Canada. MBAs are quite expensive, so I see your logic.

Thank you bro. The issue really is not about MBA being expensive, I have already paid CAD3000 as an initial deposit which I am willing to forego. I had tried severally to gain admission to study a masters in computer science but failed. I guess the reason was because my first degree was in electrical and electronics and I graduated 2009. I then decided to apply for MBA since I had 7 years of working experience with business solutions and applications. So MBA was more of a second thought. My main aim is to change careers to software development. I recently received an email saying my application had been successful at UBC to study an accelerated Bachelor's in computer science. I plan to pursue a masters in computer science immediately afterwards.

In your case, i best advise you get into Canada first and your visa stamped before notifying CIC about the change, since you're going for an academic program that is lower to your previous intended program. While in Canada, you can change freely without restrictions.

I did my medicals at children's practice on the 6th of March and my visa was granted on the 9th of the same month

Good! Since you've already acquired acceptance letter from the new institution, simply notify CIC of the new change of institution. You can email your previous institution of the change and provide evidence through your cic account, you mustn't go to the school physically prior letting them know about the change.
To notify CIC of the change, simply create a CIC account if you applied through paper route and link your application online and if online route, you can continue with your cic account. It's very easy! If you don't have the details of your visa application, request for your details from your your Agent.

Is it also possible to switch from an MBA to an accelerated bachelor's of 2years. I have a similar situation, I got my study permit using my MBA admission but have just recently got admsiion to study another bachelor's with UBC which is a preferred course. My fear is that since they are not on the same level, it might affect my visa. Kindly advise

I really do not know why this 'LICO' thing is becoming a thing of worry.

Like i mentioned in my earlier post, LICO(Low income cut-off) is used for individuals who are working(on a work permit, A PR or a Canadian citizen) and seeking to sponsor a spouse, dependant(s), parent(s) or grand parent(s) to move to Canada. It is NOT applicable to a Study permit or the Spouse open work permit. The reason is simple, the student is NOT sponsoring but adding a spouse as a dependant to his/her study permit application to allow the spouse be in Canada during the duration of the study visa.

If you check the figures required for 'LICO', It is strictly for individuals who have full working rights in Canada. Students do not, its part time and in some cases, some are not even eligible to work both on or off campus depending on their circumstance. Also, those figures of 'LICO' must be earned in Canada.

@Jimmychuks2018, what you saw, written or interpreted on your GCMS file most likely is your income in Nigeria to compel your return after your wife's study duration. The officer weighed your ' income level' and was not satisfied that it is strong enough to compel you to return with your wife after her study and that is why it was raised. You are a dependant on your wife as a PA(student) and either you or her need to only show 4,000CAD for you and additional 3,000CAD for a minor as additional funds. You must also statisfy the officer that you would leave alongside your wife. Your ties(income,family,etc)must be strong enough because you are expected to return to them. This is the requirement of IRCC for a study permit holder(your wife) and an applicant of a SOWP(you).

'LICO' requirements are Strictly for SPONSORSHIP. The sponsor must earn the minimum income in Canada to be able to sponsor. Your wife is NOT sponsoring you but adding you to her study conditions even though the SOWP allows the holder to work without time and employers restrictions.

Has anyone gotten study permit approved within six weeks in recent times? ( i am referring from Jan 2018 till date)

Mine was approved in 5weeks. Applied 31st of January and got approved 9th of March.

I married my wife because she is the love of my life and she was having my baby at the time. We're going to be 2 years in July and I'm loving it. No regrets!
