Politics › Re: Liquidity And Poor Gas Supply Major Challenges For The Gencos – Elumelu by klevotino: 9:55pm On Mar 25, 2017 |
Ok noted osahonmk: • Fashola, Okowa task DISCOs, GENCOs on regular electricity • Operators need funds, says Elumelu, Transcorp Power boss The Chairman of Transcorp Power, Mr. Tony Elumelu told the minister and governor: “We have two issues: one is liquidity. We want the minister to fast-track access to the Liquidation Assurance Programme funds. The second is gas. We want to do, but there is no gas. We can generate 620WM but due to poor access to gas supply we are handicapped.”
The power sector operators present included the NERC, managing directors and CEOs of GENCos, DISCos, the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), as well as various government agencies such as the Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC), the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trader (NBET), Nigerian Electricity Liability Management Company (NELMCO) and Nigerian Electricity Management Services Agency (NEMSA) and other operators in the electricity industry.
An audit report of debt by Federal Government ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs) to power distribution companies (DISCos) has revealed an indebtedness of N59.3 billion by top 100 customers, like defence, military and security agencies owing N51 billion.
This was the communiqué at the 13th meeting of power sector stakeholders yesterday with the Minister of Power, Babatunde Fashola, hosted by the Transcorp Power Limited, Ughelli, Delta State.
The report stated that all verified bills would be recommended for payment on a first-come first-serve basis as a demonstration of government’s determination to lead by example with regards to payment for electricity delivered. Although the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) reported an improved compliance with submission of audited accounts by DISCos, the stakeholders said that NERC should more rigorously to perform regulatory duties.
In their comments, Fashola and Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa charged power generating companies (GENCos) and the DISCos to do more to ensure regular power supply to Nigerians.
They maintained that regular electricity is critical to the nation’s industrial, technological and infrastructural development.
Fashola also chided the DISCos for failing to strengthen their transformers, thereby leading to epileptic power supplies as a result of frequent breakdowns.
Okowa slammed the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC) for the poor power supply in his state. He declared: “No matter what you generate, if it does not get to the common man, then it becomes a problem.”
Okowa charged all stakeholders to ensure peace in their communities to ensure peaceful operation of the power companies.

Ok noted 6 transformer presido997: BEDC supplies electricity to Okonjo-Iweala's community - After seven years of darkness, Ogwashi Uku finally had electricity
- The residents applauded the BEDC for the project
- They urged that more transformers should be provided
There was wild jubilation in Ogwashi Uku which is the home town of former minister of finance, Dr Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala following the restoration of electricity after seven years of darkness.
Vanguard reports that this was revealed by the Benin Electricity and Distribution Company (BEDC).
Residents in Okonjo-Iweala hometown celebrated the restoration of elecricity
Mrs. Esther Okolie who is the corporate affairs officer of the BEDC revealed that the restoration was carried out after a town hall meeting.
She said: “The restoration process started with a town-hall meeting organized by the members of Ogwashi-Uku D-Forum in collaboration with the Management of BEDC, led by the chief state head (Delta) Mr. Ernest Edgar, the business manager, Asaba business unit, Engr. Adekola. O. Abiodun and his technical team, among others.”
The company assured the residents that it would continue with enumeration re-validation, network rehabilitation and safety checks continue in earnest.
Mrs. Okolie stated: “Ogwashi- Uku happens to be the headquarters of Aniocha- South and is considered to be one of the biggest cities in Delta State with a polytechnic, banks and other parasatals; it has remained in the dark for over seven years until the intervention of BEDC, which is barely three years. No wonder the residents were so excited at welcoming BEDC team to the epoch- making occasion of power restoration to the area.”
“The power supply restoration commenced on March 10 from Market Junction 300KVA, 11/0.415KV substation, located close to the motor park. A total of six distribution substations were involved, namely motor park 300KVA, 11/0/415KV, Aghidiese Junction 300KVA, 11/0.415KV, Aghidie 300KVA, 11/0.415KV, Aghidiese 300KVA, 11/0.415KV, General Hospital 200 KVA, 11/0.415KV and Okwuogi 300KVA, 11/0.415 KV.”
“The chief state head, Delta, expressed shock at the level of vandalism of the network (given that BEDC had done rehabilitation work in June 2016), and pleaded with the communities leaders to work with BEDC to educate the public on the need to protect the equipment.”
“Once more, we commend and congratulate the people of Ogwashi- Uku for achieving this laudable feat and we advise them to be committed to prompt settlement of their bills so as not to be like their neighbors who could not sustain BEDC’s services.” Pastor Joseph T. U. Nwadiashi who is the director general of D- Forum expressed joy at the project and applauded the BEDC for keeping fate with the community in line with Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission’s directive after many years of waiting.
He however pleaded that the company should keep its promise of lighting up all parts of the town. |

Written by Adeeko Ademola There was jubilation by residents of some parts of Ogwashi-Uku, headquarters of Aniocha-South Council of Delta State over the weekend, as Benin Electricity Distribution (BEDC) restored power to the community seven years after it was thrown into darkness.
The restoration, according to BEDC’s plan, is expected to be extended to other residents of the town in due course, as more transformers would be metered and energised in the coming days, as enumeration revalidation, network rehabilitation and safety checks continue in earnest.
The restoration process started with a town hall meeting organised by the Ogwashi-Uku D-Forum, in collaboration with the management of BEDC, led by the Chief State Head (Delta), Ernest Edgar, and including the Business Manager, Asaba Business Unit, Adekola Abiodun, and his technical team, with delegates from the various quarters and sub-clans that make up Ogwashi-Uku and environs was meant to brief residents on the extent of job done so far.
Edgar expressed shock at the level of vandalism of the network, in spite of rehabilitation work carried out by BEDC in June last year, pleading with the community leaders to work with the company to educate the public on the need to protect the equipment.
Edgar educate the people on the NERC directive on the use of methodology for estimated billing and confirmed that individual estimated bills would be delivered to each customer based on the global readings from the statistical meters installed on each transformer feeding the respective customers connected to the same transformer.
BEDC Safety Manager, Gilbert Nweke, enlightened the delegates on basic safety tips to be disseminated to their people in readiness for the gradual restoration of power in phases to the various areas.

jomoh: One question. what does your sperm look like when You masturbate? Thick and sticky or light and watery? It goes a long way in determining your issues.
You need to see herbal medicine specialists (Agbo sellers not sepe sellers). it seriously works. Explain you problem to them. you won't be the first to do so to them. They are used to hearing issues like that so don't be ashamed. I was once in this situation for almost 2months until I used herbal medicine. You also have to change your eating habit and seriously start whatching what goes into your mouth. Sugar is a very high causative agent.
You can also try peeling garlic to reveal the innermost soft part and swallow it with water one daily for two weeks. It will help to detoxify your system for any excess toxins that your body couldn't get rid of.
You need to act fast before it becomes permanent. I pray it doesn't. You can also call me here 09072025650 I'm not selling anything to you, I will only tell you things to do or how to know the sellers with real and working herbal mixture. these garlic thin i go try am be that |

You will not be the first to have tasted the sweet fruit outside, while preaching against eating the same sweet fruit from the outside.
God said DAVID WAS A MAN AFTER HIS HEART, and just like you, he committed Adultery.
Let us go through the Bible together Apostle Suleman.
2 Samuel 11:2-15
2 One evening David got up from his bed and walked around on the roof of the palace. From the roof he saw a woman bathing. The woman was very beautiful,
3 and David sent someone to find out about her. The man said, “She is Bathsheba, the daughter of Eliam and the wife of Uriah the Hittite.”
4 Then David sent messengers to get her. She came to him, and he slept with her. (Now she was purifying herself from her monthly uncleanness.) Then she went back home.
5 The woman conceived and sent word to David, saying, “I am pregnant.”
Apostle Suleman we are waiting to hear from your Canadian Connection the word “I am pregnant.” O K watching on 3d |
