Politics / Re: Let 2023 Be The Last Time Igbos Will Interfere In Lagos Politics - Onanuga by Knaruto(m): 3:42pm On Mar 19, 2023
Nayturalistic:
Ingbos are the reason why South Africans,Ghana are attacking Nigerians as they always lose their senses once given little chance. It has always been in their blood and they are still the one to turn the tables around on you and claim you’re tribalistic yet they are the one true genuine tribalistic tribe in this entity called Nigeria.

Very scary set of people. Little wonder Ahmadu Bello said they (the northerners) are not and will never be ‘alive to their (the ingbos) responsibilities’.. the whole world knows the Ingbos are the ones who would get to a place or a land and within a year try to take over that land.. or they get to a workplace and within months start scheming and plotting (at the detriment of their colleagues) to get to the very top, with their dubious, cunning and mischievous attitudes.. the day Lagos civil service as a case study, starts employing STRICTLY Yorubas to all the vital positions in government, then that’s when the Yorubas can truly and truly say that they own their lands again.

You all can go to north civil service and see if you find a single Ibo man there, this was the precedent set by Ahmadu Bello, Balewa and the likes. Cuz both men practically made sure they focused on their fellow Hausas first when it comes to employment and such. But come Alausa here and see things for urself.. and make I pray say Ogun no go kill whoever says Igbos are getting appointments in Sw civil services simply Becos they are ‘competent’.. cuz THAT would NOT be true!. We have countless and equally or even much more competent Yorubas who can fill these positions but nope,,, na them de waka for streets these days with nothing to do, while the Yeye Govt keeps bringing foreigners and aliens to be occupying all vital offices in its civil service. Yorubas brought whatever is going on today on themselves: simple as that.. if they had deployed the northern tactics Ahmadu Bello, Balewa and co used back then, I swear to who created me, the only Igbos that would be in Lagos today and be prospering would be the iPhone cord and charger sellers.. radarada set of people. You no want make dem tell u say here Nobi your land, but you de act exactly in the manner that requires you being told point blank what you are and what your history is and how much you need to go back to ur precious region and ‘develop’ it instead.

PS: No one stops you hateful beings from having your Biafla, Infact incase you never knew or observed enough, the Yorubas would be the most happiest if you folks got your republic and just left another man’s land and territory alone. Cuz we all know it’s Becos ur region is sort of fruitless and that’s why you all always feel the need to travel and switch up locations, which no one had a problem with, untill now that you fulls are projecting out ur real selves..

If only our folks will focus on developing the port facilities in the SE/SS we would see if your land has still got relevance… to be honest I don’t think anyone can be blamed except my folks themselves.

Let him try to find out what happens to those who do the Nazi salute in several European countries. Then he will understand that admiring people, a cause or a symbol carries consequences.

Have you read or seen where a man in Spain was harassed for having a Catalunya flag?.. The Spanish government even allows the Catalans to use the Catalan language in conducting government activities.. Always try to understand the context before making a comment. You want to group together a nationalist movement that massacred 8million Jews and sought world domination with that is merely seeking self determination and the right to live freely and securely in their own land?

Wow.. I have never read anything dumber than this in my life

How can you be so daft?.. How can you put the Nazis with the Seccession movement of the Igbos into one box? The levels of dumbness and ignorance of some people never ceases to amaze me

8th Floor, Ministry of Education. Legalisation is only done Mondays to Thursdays from 9am, it's better to come early in case theres crowd. You may be asked to wait to pick up same day or asked to come the next day to pick up, after picking up at Ministry of Education, go to Ministry of Foreign Affairs for same process. Ministry of Foreign Affairs process is straightforward and easier than Ministry of Education.

Good Afternoon Sir/Ma...thanks for the answer.. But I was asking about the legalization at the Italian embassy. If there's any charges there and how much it costs

Well yes I spoke with Krysten for close to one hour via whatsapp.

If you are sponsoring yourself, in a way, it is even better than if you are doing business because of the difficulties authenticating people who are using business as their means of sponsorship..

However their is perhaps 3 ways to justify finances, although the boundaries are not fixed because it is possible that you could fit into two or all the 3 categories simultaneously. But it is important you know why each category is important... I will list them the way you may less likely be denied visa.

A). You have a JOB {Full time employment) . Under this category, which many people look down on, you are even more likely to get the visa. If you study the requirement for Schengen visa for study in general, you will discover every country in Europe have slightly different requirements. Germany in particular require a huge amount deposited in your account, while Italy and Spain, which have close borders to Africa, have some more flexible African tendencies. They use the word PROOF OF SUSTENANCE, which is not necessarily a proof of CASH ON GROUND. If you don't have all the cash on ground, your job could be a guarantee that you are still employed, and you won't be a liability when you get there, and some salary allowance or study allowance money will still be coming to you, even if it is not expressively stated, you can borrow salary advance if need be. And that is why fulltime staff must take study leave or leave in general or some form of permission to show embassy that you may still be employed to that job, while schooling, but if you can't produce that, it will not be a good idea to tell embassy that you are resigning for your job, it will be better to keep quiet about that.... unless you really have option B and/or C as alternative.

B) You have a contract Job (Parttime employment) . Your employment letter will indicate whether you are working fulltime and entitled to things like leave, or whether you are working on contract basis, like per hour basis, and not entitled to leave and so on but a fixed negotiated money. I got my visa based under this category as I was working online. I had less than 1 million in my account, approximately E2000, but was able to demonstrate with my employment contract letter, salary account and payslip of 6 months, how much I was earning, that the job was online and when I get to Italy I will still continue to do my contract job online.

C) You are doing business.... only God knows there are perhaps many things people do to earn money business wise, but it is difficult if you do not have official documents to justify what kind of business you do. And again, if your account is suspected of being inflated unnecessarily (being assisted by a thirdparty deposit to inflate your account), you could be denied visa. Your account statement will show the names of people who deposited money into your account... but if organizations deposited money into your account is a better proof of doing business. But you could be a landlord or whatsoever, so a proof of business seemed easiest but also complicated in some ways.

So in conclusion, I advised Krysten, that I always advise anyone who is doing business but also have job, to include the account statement and letter of employment and payslips for the job and along with that of the business, because in nutshell OYIBO people will believe you more if you have a job. You would look like a very responsible fella... infact integrity is what they are looking for and the ability to authenticate what you do, that you are geniune... than all the cash you have in your account. If you know you have a business, they will take note of that better, if you also show them the job you are doing which gives them a clear picture how you obtain your finances to be a business man, it is even better. Because again experience counts.

Sir Good Afternoon, please how can i talk to you on phone.. i need to clarify some things with you, please sir it is very important. Thanks very much

Make a request at the embassy for them to evaluate your financial documents, they will tell you. You can get such info from their embassy sites about ISEE evaluation. If you are sponsoring yourself, then your financial documents used for visa like bank statement, payslips, and employment letter. If its your parent, apart from bank statement, if they are working its important to proof what they earn monthly too. The shocking thing is that ISEE is simply the evaluated earning range of your family per month. Like €0-€1000, €2000-€5000, €6000-€10000, and so on...it does not have any bearing on your bank statement for visa. They are two separate processes. ..its only used for scholarship to determine how much benefits you could get or not get that is if your parents are billionaires for instance. You can even get zero ISEE if they are not working or earning much, which helps you get scholarship preference above richer students.

since i am sponsoring myself.

The truth is that it was not stated but read this forum, this issue have been answered severally. A minimum of €480 per month for sustenance by foreign students (maybe multiply that by a year or two, or 6 month, if your program is that short) was what was on Italian government website two years back...check now. If someone is sponsoring you, bulk money upfront is preferable and made sense like 3 million or more depending on your means actually. If you are sponsoring yourself, then means of sustenance while studying is also a good proof, because you can still be getting stipends monthly by your job or work... In that case bulk money is not absolutely necessary but at least have flight tickets money and up to 6 months money upfront for upkeep... a million or not less than €2000 could be okay for that, provided that money may still come from your work for upkeep. These guys hate you being a liability to them, so a zero account cannot be accepted.

Good morning Sir.. So that means that an account balance of €7,000 apart fro school fees is enough for them to grant me Visa right?

Yes it is possible to apply for any Italian scholarship even while still in Nigeria. But since they do not accept our documents but only their own documents, you have to take your financial documents (yours or your parents own depending on who is sponsoring you) to the embassy to do what you guys call FAMILY INCOME DECLARATION, just as you do DOV too. If you don't make a formal request for it, separate from your visa, it would not be done.

Most schools refer to this document as ISEE (if I am not mistaken) but some of us that failed to do it via the Italian embassy in Nigeria, were lucky that their government office called CAF, in the city we lived in here in Italy, accepted to do it for us... they call it PARIFICATO or something like that.

All scholarship body in Italy will definitely ask you for the ISEE document so it is better you attach it, and you will be a stone throw from being accepted almost automatically. Our African income is always substantially lesser than their own, they almost always consider us.

What else do you want to ask me? Are you satisfied with my answer? If you are not, then I will have to ask you whether you have done the ISEE document yet, which is known as DECLARATION OF FAMILY INCOME?

Sir please what is the minimum funds in Euros one has got to have in his/her account before he or she will be issued visa.. for example the Germans demand you block about €10,235 a friend told me that of Italy is way lower but did not give me a definite sum so i want to know what it is..Thanks

MY INTERVIEW TRANSCRIPTS 29/08/2018

I want to begin this write-up by saying that everything you have heard about oga Paulinus is true.

I left my lodge at Hotel Campbell( 3k a night) at exactly 4.18am. I got to the Consulate at 4.30am. Together with three other guys, we were the first set of persons to arrive the Consulate.

Oga Paulinus arrived at about 5.40am; started singing praises. He instructed one of the security guys to call in the first five persons on the line.

We arranged our documents. He sent out two of the first five persons.

Nb : if oga Paulinus send you out, you automatically become the last person on the line. Also try and arrange your documents in the appropriate format before you get there.

He placed a tag on my shirt and I was asked to go in. I dropped my phone and filled a form at the entrance.

After the security check, I was ushered in by one of the security men. I was the third person there.

After about 10mins, one of the counters light came up. I informed the security man immediately. Immediately he opens the door, I saw a dark lady on dreadlocks. My heart literarily jumped into my hands.

The security man looked at me and said " enter that one; no body dey that man own". Immediately I heard "that man" I rushed there.

V.O.: Hello
Me: Good morning, sir.
V. O: Your documents
Me: I handed over my documents
V. O: Your visa fee, #26,500.
Me: I gave him
V. O: course
Me: M.A, History and Economics
V. O: School and State
Me: University of Bayreuth, Bavaria
V. O: When are you expected to resume
Me: October
V. O: Have you funded your BA
Me: Yes
V. O: Printed a form that contained my details and asked me to sign, if the details therein are correct. Returned my local govt of origin.

V. O: Why the course

Me: The historical process of economic development experienced by developed countries provides great lessons and advise for developing countries, Nigeria inclusive. Moreover, prior to establishing sincere measures to tackle the problems facing developing countries such as poverty, unemployment, high level of income inequality, amongst others, an understanding of the historical environment that birthed these problems is not only desirable but necessary. The Programme will provide me with the required knowledge and skills to understand the historical rationale behind the economic challenges and success stories of modern day economies. In addition, the course strictly align with my professional interest.

V. O: What is your professional interest

Me: To secure a scholarly career in the academia, with specialization in Cliometrics.

Why Germany : Germany offers quality education to both local and international students at a negligible cost, rich culture and a major international language. The desire to acquire a topnotch education that will come with an opportunity to learn about the German culture influenced my decision to study in the country.

V. O:Did you checked other countries

Me: I checked the University of Edinburgh in the UK. The tuition fee for the Programme is slightly above 23,000 Pounds for international students.

V. O: and you can't afford it?

Me: If there is one thing I learnt from Economics, it is to always choose the least expensive option, if quality is the same.I believe you will do same, if you are in my shoes.

What do you know about Germany ?

Me:Germany is located in Central Western Europe. The country has 16 states. Land area of 347,021 square kilometers. A population of nearly 83million making her the most populous country in the EU. Shares border with nine European countries: Denmark, Czech Republic, Austria, Poland, Switzerland (its only non-EU neighbour), France, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Netherlands. Germany became a confederation in 1815. In 1871, she became a nation-state: the German Empire. After the first World War that spanned through the period of 1914-1918 and the Revolution of 1918-1919(popularly known as the November Revolution) the Empire was replaced by the Weimar Republic. The seizure of power by the Nazist Government in 1933 led to a series of events, including the Second World War and the Holocaust. During the period of Allied occupation two German states emerged: The Federal Republic of Germany (informally known as West Germany) and the German Democratic Republic (East Germany).According to 2017 statistics, Germany has a nominal GDP of $3.684trillion dollars and $4.170 trillion by PPP. The country operates a Federal Parliamentary Constitutional Republican form of government with Frank Walter Steinmier as president and Angela Merkel as Chancellor. Germany has a bicameral legislature :Bundestag and Bundesrat. Wolfgang Shauble is the president of Bundestag and Michael Muller, president of Bundesrat. The capital of Germany is Berlin and its largest conurbation is Ruhr.

V. O: Capital of Poland
Me: Warsaw
V. O: Capital of Switzerland
Me: Bern

Me: Germany has... (paused by him)

V. O: It's okay. I'm satisfied

V. O: Why not Nigeria

Me: No Nigeria university offers the interdisciplinary programme: History and Economics. Even those that offers Economichistory, they are less quantitative. This explains why only graduates with degrees in History, ISD are admitted into the Programme.

Your qualification: OND(Statistics), B. Sc (Economics and Statistics)

Your CGPA: OND (3.85/4.00), B.Sc(4.43/5.00)
V. O: What do you intend to do after your studies?
Me: enrol in a PhD programme
V. O: Same course
Me: yes
V. O: in Germany?
Me: yes
V. O: what will you do after your PhD studies?
Me: I hope to secure a scholarly career in the academia
V. O: In Germany or Nigeria
Me: I hope to return to my country, Nigeria to contribute my quota to nation building
V. O: Undergraduate thesis
Me: The Impact of Capital Market on Industrial Sector Development in Nigeria
V. O: Any question for me or you are satisfied
Me: No question, sir. I'm satisfied
V. O: "When everything is ready, we will contact you via email. For now, be rest assured that everything is fine ".
Me: Thank you, sir. I'm grateful!

My question now is that can she still provide a sponsorship letter if I stay in a different city from her, is it acceptable? Also as regard certification of my documents, is it the photocopies I will certify and must i go to the Embassy to certify it or just a High court will do. Thank you

AFrica
It all depends on what the individual wants to do after the M.A. Germany is good but not everyone plans to stay.
For me, the course I intend on studying is really broad and concerns modern concept that are marketable.
