At last!
I've now paced up to pg 97.
Oga Zubby I commend your hard labour (yes it's labour), cos me reading, honestly I've only managed to pace up since last friday, therefore qualify to drop my comment.
I like to say Thank you and God bless.
I've been on this eurotrip in your literature, so wonderful. And the new pattern of adding a maxim at the end of each chapter...OMG..nothing like it. You just got a way with words.
One request: Pls Sir, keep them coming.

**My post has a supplementary edit**
Only persons having backup partners would wanna "choose between the rich fella and the poor dude".
Pray/wish for the good guy. The rest would (probably) come. You sure want happiness. This follows the "good" guy!

Silently reading the comments since earlier on.
Hi Tab
Your topic is such an hypothetical one is'nt it, and a "dilemma" (in your words) I don't think is a healthy move...having multiple fiances.
Much like dygeasy's quote above, An individual is himself in character, rich or not so rich. Means could however hinder an individual in fulfiling certain inclinations but can not be overruled of incapability.
..."A good man is hard to find"...so they say. Ladies in the house wish/pray (whichever works) for one!
RomanceRe: Nawa For Guys! by kobenol(m): 8:39pm On Aug 23, 2013
Well @Preccy...it didn't feel right to you maybe.
It's a state of the mind situation anyways. The guy saw a "chase", took it but lost. It's life is'nt it?
PoliticsRe: Controversial Flyover Barrier Demolished In Ibadan by kobenol(m): 9:38am On Aug 23, 2013
ngozievergreen: are all these tnz to make me wish dat type of bridge will be built in my state? I have made my diagnosis.
Don't necessarily wish for the "type of bridge". Who says you'll need it anyway?
Support visionary and ingenious people-centred solutions to ever present challenges.
Summary: Pro-development.
....by the way, I love the new tag name "envy green"!!
...Ngozi "envy" green...lol
PoliticsRe: Controversial Flyover Barrier Demolished In Ibadan by kobenol(m): 5:37am On Aug 23, 2013
ngozievergreen: so, what did u say i shd do?
Only get quality facts, approach from a knowledge-based angle.
Sincerely that's what I would do.
Stop alleging that the bridge is not capable of bearing trucks when you haven't set your eyes on the design sheets, perhaps the bridge itself.
**I hope you read my above posts. You should have known a thing or two about highway design now atleast**

Ngozi "envy" green
You better see my earlier posts...
This one:
kobenol: Quite unfortunate. You are even boasting your knowledge deficiency. huh
Yes it is a single lane bridge! It accomodates fast lane ALONE! (service lane is at ground level!)
...And trucks SHOULD never ascend it (NOT because its load factor is overbearing...NO) Trucks CAN NOT negotiate a fast-through on such inclination and descent (danger!).
And NO...There is no room for pedestrians on such bridge...ELSE such individual is sorrily re.tarded (mean you would climb that steep ascent? For Cardio?) When you would safely and more easily move on ped. way on the ground, even use the round about as a traffic island.
....Now that's how fast-through flyovers are designed on highways, everywhere!
That bridge will support truck loads, they will only slow down traffic movement with their grinding acceleration and so they can (SHOULD) move on service lane ON THE GROUND.
Any car can as well move on the ground if they dread heights...

Illiterates wouldn't learn...I hear this rubbish farce talk of Mokola bridge every other day and I cant take it again!...ki lo de??
;
This one:
kobenol: In short bros. I'm a Civil Engineer, and I dare say that Mokola Flyover is of Quality Standard (see my post above), based on the simple reason that it achieves it's aims and objective - Provide a fast through from Mokola to Adamasingba. That aspect of cost, I wish the working drawings and other blueprints were public documents and would gladly work to estimate the cost. Else I can't provide a judgement on contract sum.
By the way...one question for you. How much does a car cost?
Ans.: A 100,000 Naira? A Million bucks? or A hundred million bucks maybe?
My answer would be..."depends on the model".
;
This one too:
kobenol: Thanks boss...great mind you are.
I studied Civil Engineering and I know the following:
*One might not need a bridge on such road (Bridge is a costly best option however) provided that that a "box juncion" is clearly marked on the intersection and traffic lights (dynamically adjusted to peaking factors and periods) as well as cameras and traffic operatives on the road....Apologies our literacy level (nairaland comments confirm this) would down such plan.
*The road from Mokola to Adamasingba is a 2-lane highway whereas the fast lane is elevated on the fly-over (for cars and other mobiles), Trucks would move on the slow service lane at ground level. This is how it applies everywhere.
*Note trucks are barred from the flyover because their slow ascent would negate the "fast link" design philosophy.
It even takes a barrier to enforce this (trust illiterates now)...The dumb.a§s driver still knocked the barrier...whk issued a license to such re.tard with no basic education of reading and writinghuh
*Only a dumbass pedestrian would want to climb for what?? Ground equivalent distance would be about half of that bridge distance.
*As per cost, I'll trust the assessment of a Quantity Surveyor, given the sections under consideration: Land acquisition, Equipment and material cost (The special grade concrete, running to thousands os cubic metres must have been batched in a concrete batching plant. It's no where near Mokola); Utilities...electricity, traffic control devices and mechanisms during construction; Quite some other misc. cost I cant figure right now; Man power cost as well.
*In my honest opinion, the bridge was constructed in an opimum time.
*The only thing lacking on this bridge is a lane divider...(it's not supposed to be though, for sake of emergency usage) I see Ibadan phoolish drivers making dangerous u-turns right there on the bidge - lane marking would have been enough in a well mannered and educated society.
I've just about hammered it enough...for he who has ears (and eyes, and reasoning)...
Arguements are only everly sweet provided with tangible substances.
I wouldnt set out to accuse or allege if I'm not set for victory.

emiye: Don't mind those bitter nincompoops and nay sayers ,they have not seen the bridge, i understand their fears. grin

The bridge is over 600 metres, the length is in public space
Thanks boss...great mind you are.

McNuel O: Why will a flyover bridgeof lessthan 100 metres that is worth 3bn not be able to carry heavy duty trucks. If that is how its designe then EFCC should visite the oyo stste govt. Lai mohammed shold speak out. Every body who won't nigeria to move forword should condemn it
What a shame...I beg you for God's sake read healthy comments above before making yours.
bridgeof lessthan 100 metres
You either havent seen the bridge or have no idea what a unit the METRE is.
In each case I don't think you are qualified to make such pronouncement.
You will do yourself a great favour to read up meaningful comments up front.
ps. I didnt yet do a tape measure but the bridge is over 300metres (abutment to midspan)

I get this one too quite often...even "dearie", "hun", "bbz" huh. Actually I deciphered some of the compliments as conveying some soft invites, really.
However, in formal settings its acceptable too...
"Dear Sir/Ma"...you know...
