I'm really dismayed at what is happening in my family. First, my paternal grandfather died many years ago when my dad was only just 10yrs(according to Him). After my grandpa died, my grandma(father's mum) remarried. This time she got married to my grandpa's cousin. According to the customs and traditions of the land, when a man dies, the deceased brother is allowed to marry his late brother's wife and possess the children as well. This prevents the widow from going outside the family lineage to remarry. My father grew up with his stepfather who doubled as his uncle as well. Now my father died a few years ago, and my mum remarried. Presently, I'm scared this may happen to me cos it's beginning to look like a viscous cycle. I'm really worried.

My dad built on the land many years ago, but before he died, the building had collapsed. A few years after his burial, this step-uncle went and built on it without the permission of me or my siblings. I told them to find another land for me to build my own house since I can't bring down their own building. Though I'm not financially ready to build now.
