hmohammed: ➜In the Bible, the age of marriage for women varied, and some notable women did get married before the age of 18. Here are a few examples: 1. Rebekah: Married Isaac at a young age, possibly around 10-12 years old (Genesis 24:15-67). 2. Rachel: Married Jacob at around 14-15 years old (Genesis 29:1-30). 3. Leah: Married Jacob at around 14-15 years old, possibly even younger than Rachel (Genesis 29:1-30). 4. Mary (Mother of Jesus): Estimated to be around 12-14 years old when she became engaged to Joseph and conceived Jesus (Luke 1:26-38). 5. Esther: Possibly around 14-15 years old when she was taken into the king's harem and eventually became queen (Esther 2:1-18). ➜I wonder why people condemn early marriages by Muslims in the North. None of these claims are true, though, since Scripture does not provide for any of the claims made. These are mostly tales fabricated by the religion of Christianity and its many scholars and religious fathers. 2. I see! So, this is a contest between Islam and Christianity — both religions claim connection to a story written of a people whose God only associates with them(Israelites) and no other people— both without tangible connection to Israelite Scripture, to begin with? Continue! |

Magnetic010: 1. Men are the biggest problem to themselves...Their are a lot of young girls who are jobless, or earn less than 500k a year, who came from poor or very poor background but meet them and talk to them; they will tell you they want a man who has this, that and many more...she doesn't want to settle for less, she wouldn't even date a guy without a car...where do you think she gets that audacity from?....Men...she knows that there are men out that willing to go above and beyond just to get her. I have been in hospitality business for years now and bro I cannot even begin to tell you what I have witnessed...I have seen guys send 200k to girls just for her to agree to go out with them...I have seen guys buy a higher model of phone for girls just for her to leave who she is currently dating.... ✓ After all these madness and waste to get girls..what do you think will happens to their mentality? They become entitled...they feel it is their right to get everything from a man, the world revolves around them.so why expect her to give you her money, or care about your struggles when society and other men have made her understand that she is Queen and only thing she deserves is the "soft life". 1. Exactly! It is the men who chase after these women with nothing to their names. Hence it is the men, not the girls, to blame for the absurdities. 2. These girls were already entitled before the men came up to them. Tradition has them believing they are in their right to expect a man to take care of all of their needs in marriage. So, their sense of entitlement comes from the very traditions in the same society. To this day, various ethnic groups continue to hold on to traditions which almost guarantee a woman a place as a kept woman in her husband's house. These men are fully aware and mostly embrace these very traditions. So, where are these complaints coming from? Men who reject traditional ideas regarding marriage or men who openly embrace tradition only to then whine about the weight that goes along with doing so? |

FreeSpirited: ✓ In Old testament it was normal to marry two or more wives I have read the scriptures very well, and I have not found any convincing evidence both in new and old testament that marrying two wives legally is a sin. Modern Christians believe that after marrying one wife, if u add another one, then u have committed fornication/adultery. Now I have 2 questions First question: What if after marrying the first wife, I saw a widow or a virgin, and I never slept with her until after I legally married her as second wife. How will that be term adultery or fornication? ✓ Second question: What if when I wanted to marry my first wife, I instead engaged two women or two virgin, and they both agreed, and I never slept with either of them until after marriage ceremony was done for both of them same day. Is that fornication and how is it fornication/adultery? I will love your answers with sound scriptural backing....and please read and understand the scenario I painted. Thank you 1. I highly doubt you have in fact read the Israelite Scriptures as written as you pretend since this is all about confirming to the many standards of the Religion of Christianity for you and nothing more. Anyway, religion is like a bottomless pit with endless contradictory ideas streaming from it, each tailored to justify one particular delusion or another. I am certain at least one of the over 45,000 known denominations of Christianity would provide you the justification you need for your particular idea regarding these ideas of sin you hold. 2. All you need is find for yourself and existing denomination in your chosen religion to provide you the validation you need or you can always create your own denomination to suit your purpose. That is pretty much what your many Popes, GOs, imams, Bishops, Prophets, etc., have had to do. |

Dpsychologist: ✓ Some women operate with a deeply ingrained belief that financial responsibility belongs solely to the father. Even when they are earning their own money, they: 🚩 Hoard their salary for personal use. 🚩 Ignore their children’s needs, expecting the father to provide everything. 🚩 Only spend when pressured or embarrassed. This is not motherhood—it’s financial neglect. ✓ A father should be a provider, yes. But parenting is a shared duty, not a financial contract where one parent carries all the weight. Why stalk such women if they are not the sort of women you are interested in marrying? 2. If this father-man feels this way then the common sense thing for him to court and marry women who share the same values. Why daye women who don't share your same value only to then complain about the expected outcome? No be brain damage be that? |

They all want the same thing. ✓ The biggest cue which I tell everyone is, during dating if that lady doesn't buy you anything [b]TANGIBLE with her OWN money for you, she is never going to contribute anything financially in the future. The cue has never failed, once you access your life & can't point on any tangibles received. It's time to go. Are theen in question imbe-ciles? 2. Wait a second...are attempting to convince us that men who marry women who do not contribute their quota in the relationship are somehow victims?! 3. Ah! At the time he created Lucifer he knew he was going to rebel and lead people astray, cause so much pain to his creation, why was Lucifer created? Are we going to blame Satan for being bad or blame a God who knew Lucifer was going to be bad before creation? Or is the concept of God and Satan a fairytale? What is your opinion to the above? The Christian God and Satan is likely born of fairy tale or should I say falsehood given that the images created of them do not align with what is in fact promoted in Isrealite Scripture which the Christians pretend their ideas come from. You could say that the over 45,0000 different doctrines of Christianity are merely instances of ideas that literally defy that which is clearly proclaimed in that book of books written by Israelites. |

The female gender rarely achieve anything on their own without using men. Men are not loved. ✓ Tell me what’s the contribution of the average woman to marriage other than sex and cooking Wrong! The one and only reason a man marries a woman who sees him as an ATM is because it is exactly what the man wanted in a wife. So, try to hold the men responsible for their choices. 2. Greydebz: ➜No one really talks about how lonely living alone can be. Living alone teaches you a lot, how to be independent, how to sit with your own thoughts, how to find comfort in solitude. But even in that, there are days when the quiet feels too loud. And the thing is, you’re not the only one who feels this way. We don’t always say it out loud, but so many of us know what it’s like. It’s okay to crave connection, to miss the little things. shared meals, casual conversations, the simple presence of another person nearby. If you’re feeling this way, know that it’s normal. You’re not weak. You’re human. Reach out, send that text, make that call, step outside. Connection is still there, waiting for you. Living alone doesn’t mean you have to do life alone. PS: a fictional write up solely for discussion, Not a personal experience Loneliness is rightly described as a potential risk factor for mental problems such as depression and anxiety as there is no valid reason why someone who claims to have found comfort in solitude would in the next breath proclaim said solitude also represents a problem. If you are lonely, please connect with friends and family or try to move out of your solitude and socialize until you have adequately dealt with the emotions at the core of those feelings of loneliness. Solitude no be tikpa-tikpa. It is only for those who are built for it and those times you need it. It is not meant to be treated as some lifetime achievement, goal, or anything along those lines.

StaffofOrayan: ➜The phenomenon of wanting to date a local is universal! That is why indigenous people are still around, that is why we still have ethnic groups! ➜It is not unique to Nigerian or African women! There are women that leave their toxic husbands rightfully I might add, but for the most part it's an overdose of new 'freedoms'. Then they decide the only person they would be submissive to are their bosses, they forget their own inadequacies! ➜When you are desirable, you automatically get suitors, these women quickly find out no man wants them, so they toil away in the cold, getting infected with the European disease called depression, 1. This isn't true at all. Studies have shown that environment, upbringing, ideas, and even self-esteem play a role in how we choose out partners. Wanting to day what you consider that local to you is not universal at all. :-That those you term Indigenous people are still around DOES NOT in any way constitute proof for this preposterous idea that universally people desire to date "a local". 2. StaffofOrayan: ✓ Except you are a Northerner this is a huge lie! There is hardly a female in southern Nigeria that didn't go to school or learn a trade, if u call cooking and cleaning which a girl would do whether she marries or not raising her for marriage then you are brainwashed! ✓ Whether you admit it or not, Nigerian men are very desirable abroad, we are some of the last few men on earth who would mostly carry the family 100% if he can, even if he has to struggle a bit, Not saying there are no supportive women, those coincidentally last with their husbands, home or abroad It isn't just in Northern Nigeria that female are trained or brainwashed into seeing themselves as nothing without a Mrs. Badge. This very topic exists exactly because of that. 2. It matters nothing to me whether you think Nigerian men are desirable somewhere or not, as the facts are instead what I focus my attention on. You ask the average Nigerian woman abroad why she is not dating...the older generation included--- and you almost always get the same response which is that they are waiting for a man, preferably the Nigerian man -- not even an African -- to complete them. You can easily visit your local Nigerian church abroad to confirm this of the singles in the crowd. |

dettolgel: ✓ I didn't pick out any gender. ✓ My post is for both gender. Both men and women - men mostly apart from thinking that they are of age, they are mostly driven by lust. ✓ Why ladies are mostly driven by societal pressure to get married before a certain age and also by the availability of a man that is ready to settle down. Men lost their true love because they were not ready financially, whereas ladies leave their true love behind for the same reason. This is not true for the whole case but in most cases if you dig properly you will find this at the center of the problem. 1. I am glad we are both not on issue of gender. 😁 2. According to legal definition of marriage, the contract can literally be entered into for any reason which both parties see fit to do so for. People have been known to marry for numerous reasons including for purpose of sex(lust), fear of being alone(both in young age and old), business, and maybe even love. And stats do not show any one reason to be of greater benefit to those in the marriage over the others. 3. How can it be at the center of a problem when even those who claim to have married for love are equally not spared in the end? |

Nnamdipapa: ✓ I have this scenario playing out in my mind and I will like everyone to weigh in and give me their honest opinions. Let's assume your name is Charles and you have a 6 year old daughter and you also have a close friend whose name is Obi. You and Obi have been friends for more than 10 years and one day, you were going to work, no one us at home and, you asked Obi to take care of your daughter. Obi agreed afterall, what are friends for right? He came over and sat with your six year old daughter looking after her. Now, an ugly incident happened while you were away, someone broke into your home, a criminal and a serial sex offender, he attacked your daughter, the poor girl was screaming and crying hysterically in fear, Obi was sitting down, watching the whole incident and did NOTHING. He could have called 911, he could have directly intervened but he sat there and did nothing, as a matter of fact, he found the whole incident to be amusing. At the end, the poor girl got raped and blood every where under the watchful eyes of her caretaker, Obi who did not lift a finger to help the poor girl during the whole ordeal. Now, you are back from work to find your daughter unconscious and ravaged, you were told Obi, your best friend, entrusted with care of your daughter, did nothing to help in her time of need. My question, what will your reaction be to Obi knowing what you know now? Will you still continue to be best friends and chummy with him? Will you still continue to trust him with your family members? I need your honest opinion and please stick to the topic How did Charles come to conclude that not only was Obi his close friend but he was the right one to contract as babysitter for his precious daughter? I suspect he may have conveniently ignored many red flags to have decided him the best person to leave the care of his daughter to. |
