31 Terah took his family and left Ur of Babylonia. They planned to travel to Canaan. Terah took his son Abram, his grandson Lot (Haran’s son), and his daughter-in-law Sarai (Abram’s wife). They traveled to the city of Haran and decided to stay there.
32 Terah lived to be 205 years old. He died in Haran. - Genesis 11 vs 21 - 32

Terah and his family were originally meant to end up in Canaan, but Terah decided to settle in Haran for good. And so, God called Abraham to leave and go on to Canaan which is what Genesis 12 says Abraham did at age 75. Simple!

2. Again, the story in Genesis 11 tells of how Terah and his family moved to Haran and how Teran died in Haran. It says nothing of his family remaining in Haran with him nor of them leaving only after his death.

Genesis 11 which focused more on the history and life of Terah wrapped up by stating that he died in Haran. Not that Abraham left him after he died in Haran.
Genesis 12, however, begins with the story of Abraham with no suggestion that Abraham left Haran only after the death of his father.

I grew up in Ikorodu and sights like the one you described were sort of a regular occurrence pretty much on the weekends. I even came to reason that it had something to do with an unspoken culture of celebrating death and not life, which if you reason it well, isn't unique to any one tribe in that same Nigeria. Yes! Anywhere you go in Nigeria, you are likely to observe similar traditions of celebrating death and not life itself.

The passage above does not state that Abraham left Haran after his father's death, so where do you get that additional claim of yours from?

Jesus Christ is famously known for having disavowed the religion of his time beginning with the religious leaders and their many doctrines and traditions which He proclaimed were antichrist/lies meant to deceive and delude many away from the following of His Truth. It is the very same religion that Jesus Christ stood against, as His Father before Him did — Ezekiel 34 vs 1 - 31 & John 10 vs 1 - 16. He went on to warn that the thieves who come using His name do so to steal, kill, and destroy His flock. He never asked any man to pay Him offerings or tithes in His name. Jesus Christ was against religion and He never hid this fact as almost half of His teachings were against the snare that is religion and the wolves in sheep's clothing, the religious men.

The religion of Christianity was modeled from its very foundation after that very same religion that Jesus Christ condemned — Judaism. I guess my question is really, "Did Jesus Christ change His mind?"

More like the Quran, which was written more than 3000 years after the fact, attempted to polish the story, you know, give Jacob a more holy backstory. I assume that the Mohammedians felt that a man like Jacob needed to have a well-combed pedigree to qualify to be used by God, when in fact, no such is necessary.

The blessings that Jacob stole from his brother, Esau, were not God's blessings but the blessings his father, a rich man, had for his sons. The blessing that was Abraham had nothing to do with one's birth position. You would know this if you paid attention to Scripture. For example, Joseph, was Son number 11, yet He was favored by God. And David was a lastborn, yet He was favored by God. Judah's line, through whom Jesus Christ was born was not the firstborn. It didn't matter in all of the cases whether the man in question inherited his father's earthly blessings or not. What mattered more to God was the preparedness of the heart for what He required it for.

Jesus Christ was referred to as a devil by the antichrists of His time — the religious leaders of His time whom He condemned; they were enemies of God— lies and deception was their stock in trade— so what did you expect of them?
