Jesus Christ is a separate Nation/Covenant from the Old Covenant Kingdom of Israel in the Land of Canaan. As Jesus Christ said, one cannot have one leg in Jesus Christ and one leg in the Old Law — do not mix old wine and new wine today as the result is disastrous. As for grace, well that simply means Eternal Life; Even demons/devils, equally spirits, have eternal life. |

In his sermon, titled, ‘Promoted for a Purpose,’ with a Bible passage taken from Revelation 4:10–11, Adeboye averred that God has the absolute power to lift any person from one level to another, adding that when God decides to promote, He can raise a person from a dunghill to the position of authority. Almunjid: ■ Lol, u write full everywhere, yet u no even understand wetin u dey write. Where u learn ur own Christianity from? ■ Na contradictions wey dey ur comment make me dey qoute u. U said: Jesus Christ himself lived according to the old Law. He then called his followers to follow a different law. Does this make any sense to u? You're wrong anyways. Matthew 5:17 says: Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them. I am not a Christian nor am I religious in any way so I don't even belong in the same Caliber as your kind. Second, if you don't understand the meaning of the term Contradiction, don't bother using it. As for Jesus Christ calling His followers to follow a different Law, the God of Israel Himself said He would make a new agreement/Covenant with the House of Jacob in Jeremiah 31 vs 31 - 34. Do you mean what He said does not make sense to you? 2. Jesus Christ was an Israelite who was born under the jurisdiction of the Old Law of Moses in the Land of Canaan and as such was required to fulfill the Law the same as every other Israelite in the land was. That is simply what Jesus Christ tells you in that verse of what He came to do then. He couldn't abolish the law because God's Law, an eternal Covenant, cannot be abolished. |

He only supported the business when I opened it. This business is more than 6yrs. So you give your wife 100k to add to a small business 6yrs ago and expect her to turn it to billions with kids she feeds and same shop you collect small things like toothpaste from? You are just judgemental, no solution. I will be honest with you, @OP, I think you are the one who first needs to change here. Six years ago in Nigeria, 100k was a considerable sum, even big money. My guess is your husband wanted you not only to have for yourself something to do but also something to bring in some money into the family with. He didn't want you living as a dependent on him. I can see that because what other reason would exist for him to have invested 100k into your business six years ago? If the reason the business has not been doing well in all that time, is probably due to low or lack of sales or mismanagement, that is something else. And needs to be addressed as just that. I mean for one, you admitting to taking things from the business to use in the home screams mismanagement to me, and by none other than the business owner too. And you taking out loans to help your business only for nothing to come of the infusion afterward is equally on you. If it is that you don't know how to run a business at all then please let your husband know and make sure he knows how bad things have gotten so you can both decide whether the business should be shut down completely. If you wish to keep the business then look for ways to learn to do better as a business owner. Look for additional ways to earn money on the side to help pay off your loans, read books to run a successful business, etc. You said your husband is a plumber meaning his take-home even now is probably not close to that 100K he gave you 6 years ago. If something bad were to happen tomorrow, there would probably be no big savings stored away somewhere for you and your child to live on, so it is up to you to decide whether you will change for the better or continue as is. |

Doctor1994: ■Malachi 3:10 ■You are not even sure if there is judgement after death. Change your thinking and accept the truth You religionists, like those of the Pharisaic religion your religion of Christianity is modeled after, are indeed very shameless! You dare to quote Malachi 3 at me, a message that YHWH— God of Israel— made perfectly clear was to only the House of Jacob, the Levites in particular who were in charge of His then Temple, in the Land of Judah and Jerusalem at the time before the arrival of Jesus Christ? 1. The Lord All-Powerful says, “I am sending my messenger to prepare the way for me. Then suddenly, the Lord you are looking for will come to his temple. Yes, the messenger you are waiting for, the one who will tell you about my agreement, is coming! 2 “No one can prepare for that time or stand against him when he comes. He will be like a burning fire. He will be like the strong soap people use to make things clean. 3 He will make the Levites clean. He will make them pure like silver is made pure with fire! He will make them pure like gold and silver. Then they will bring gifts to the Lord, and they will do things the right way. 4 Then the Lord will accept the gifts from Judah and Jerusalem. It will be as it was in the past—as the time long ago. 5 Then I will bring you to justice. I will be an expert witness and testify about the evil things people do. I will speak out against those who do evil magic or commit adultery. I will speak out against those who make false promises and cheat their workers and don’t pay them the money they promised. I will testify against those who don’t help strangers, or widows and orphans. And I will testify against those who don’t respect me.” This is what the Lord All-Powerful said. 6 “I am the Lord, and I don’t change. You are Jacob’s children, and you have not been completely destroyed. 7 But you never obeyed my laws. Even your ancestors stopped following me. Come back to me, and I will come back to you.” This is what the Lord All-Powerful said. “You say, ‘How can we come back?’ 8 “People should not steal things from God, but you stole things from me. “You say, ‘What did we steal from you?’ “You should have given me one-tenth of your things. You should have given me special gifts. 9 In this way your whole nation has stolen things from me, so bad things are happening to you.” 10 The Lord All-Powerful says, “Try this test. Bring one-tenth of your things to me. Put them in the treasury. Bring food to my house. Test me! If you do these things, I will surely bless you. Good things will come to you like rain falling from the sky. You will have more than enough of everything. 11 I will not let pests destroy your crops. All your grapevines will produce grapes.” This is what the Lord All-Powerful said. 12 “People from other nations will be good to you. You will have a wonderful country.” This is what the Lord All-Powerful said. - Malachi 3 vs 1 - 12 It is sheer wickedness to read the above and suggest it applies to any other people or place or time apart from the one that God Himself meant it for....absolute wickedness! 2. So, you are implying Jesus Christ, who said judgment of the sheep and goats in HIs Kingdom will only take place after He returns lied? |
Christianity Etc › Re: Family Tithing In The Diaspora by Kobojunkie: 3:56pm On May 12, 2024 |
ADAMUdaCOWBOY: ■ Oga, about every verse you have to quote on tithing is sure to come from the old testament meaning it is just a carryover of the law of Moses into the dispensation of grace. Did you know that the Jews themselves who are the custodians of the law do not tithe? Reason is simple, there are no Levites! No one can claim to be descendants of Aaron! You can't be more Catholic than the pope! You haven't read my signature, have you? Anyone Israelite who pretend still according to the customs of the Old Law only compounds the effects of God's curse on himself - Leviticus 26 & Deuteronomy 28 vs 15-57. God activated that curse across every one of the bloodlines of Jacob about 1900 years ago at the time of the end-time. Redemption from the curse can only be obtained in Jesus Christ who explained in His Parable of Wheat and Tares that the Harvest of the Kingdom of God began at that very same time— the end time. |

AbuTwins: The difference is actually less than 300 years! The Books of the bible were written and had to be canonised aka fixed for you as New testament in the 4th century! If it was established it won't need a debate and votes to be canonised! The Qur'an was ready before the death of the Prophet in 632AD. So < 250 years not 600! ■ I didn't relate it to the time of Moses! It shows you were wrong about your YHWH. Manslaughter is not same as murder! So the prophets of YHWH are not supposed to be above board at least? David had the holy spirit yet still committed murder and adultery! Samson too was just empowered with the Holy spirit to kill and kill... 1. I said nothing of your canonized bible of today though. I instead meant Scripture had existed in the region for at least 1000 years before Mohammed showed up. The teachings of Jesus Christ were already available to those in the region, thanks to the disciples who were sent out among the Nations in the land of Canaan — what was Arab world as well— for almost 600 years before Mohammed showed up on the scene with his ideas. 2. Moses was a murderer who was made a Prophet and Lawgiver by YHWH. (Moses did the attacking; this we know from what is recorded.) YHWH made no efforts to polish up Moses's image as He sent him right back to the very people who knew very well of his past. He wasn't a role model but a servant sent from God to deliver a message and that is the role that Moses played. |
