kpakpakpa:So never mind that Jesus Christ did condemn all the religious leaders— He decreed curses on them all—, including those of His time, you want to believe that Jesus Christ did mean those teachings of His? He made a mistake, is that it? ![]() |
RoyalBlu:LOL... I don't live according to the doctrines fed to you by your gods of men— your religious leaders. I instead live in obedience to Jesus Christ who said His followers are to focus on obeying ALL of His teachings and commandments, not just the ones that agree with their particular ideas. ![]() If you didn't know before now, God is not the one to judge these things. Jesus Christ already told you that His followers are to judge these things given that He informed them all to judge all things according to His righteous judgment — His teachings and commandments. ![]() |
kpakpakpa:Jesus Christ said those who love Him — are His true followers— are those who live their lives in continuous submission and obedience to His teaching and commandments. Meaning that anyone who indeed loves Jesus Christ would do only that which is as taught and commanded by Jesus Christ. The fruits of obedience to the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ are what would be observed from those who truly love Him. Those fruits can never be observed in those who practice religion because Jesus Christ informed His followers that religion, even the one that existed when He was in the world, was antiChrist. Can one be a part of religion and have a part in Jesus Christ? ![]() |
RoyalBlu:Well, here's the thing. Jesus Christ said, "By their fruits — not their works — you shall know them." This man, like the others around him, used the name of Jesus Christ to teach ideas and traditions that are not of Jesus Christ. Can that which is against Jesus Christ be for Jesus Christ? Jesus Christ said no. ![]() |
kpakpakpa:Jesus Christ said they are all just false teachers and false prophets, thieves that come to come to steal from His sheep, to kill the fat of His flock, and to destroy them - John 10 vs 7 - 16 & Ezekiel 34 vs 1 - 31. He warned that not only were they— the religious leaders beginning of those who even came before His time — antiChrist but that their doctrines and traditions were equally against God's very Truth - Matthew 15 vs 1 - 14 & Mark 7 vs 1 - 13. He dedicated almost half of His Gospel to warning you against these men and their tactics. What more do you need? ![]() I happen to be a follower of Jesus and as a result not a fan of these liars and their many scams which destroy the lives of those who get entangled by them. ![]() |
OLAADEGBU:Another religious scammer aka wolf in sheep's clothing has gone to his grave. ![]() |
triplechoice:My view is not in the least bit distorted at all. Those formalities establish what you call a marriage — which means you have obtained the product. And marriage is the goal of those who sign those dotted lines. Whatever they do after that is considered marriage? So? ![]() Yes, even random strangers are not barred by law from doing just that. So, I am not certain what you are going on about here. ![]() |
triplechoice:Right there in Nigeria. https://punchng.com/marriage-experts-worry-over-rising-divorce-among-young-couples/ ■ Singledom and relationships without marriage commitments are alternatives. ![]() |
triplechoice:Lol.. the moment you sign the agreement papers or you fulfill the traditional marriage requirements, you pretty much bought the product called marriage. What you do with it afterward is between you and your marriage business partner. ![]() 2. Make marriage successful ke? We are talking about making it more enticing than it has currently become. ![]() |
triplechoice:This here discussion has absolutely to do with whether one has experienced it or not. The fact is clear to all, by way of the statistics available, that more and more individuals are opting for alternatives to marriage. So, I am not certain of the place of experience in all of this. ![]() |
Ilekokonit:Precisely! The product needs improvement work done on it either through enactment of new laws and benefits for those who would choose it all while protecting them at the same time. And it could also benefit from some rebranding work. ![]() |
FireUpNow:Aaabegi! ![]() In 1981, the divorce rate in the State of Plateau, Nigeria, was recorded to have been around 81% among newlyweds. in 2012, a report went out that the divorce rate in Northern Nigeria was among the highest in the world. Now, of course, these reports come from the North where divorce is respected and tracked. In much of Southern Nigeria where divorce is traditionally found, official divorce rates have notoriously been maintained at below 0.1%. This does not consider the rate of marriage abandonment, the acceptable form of divorce among southerners, and equally as high as at least 50%. What has the economic power to do with the high divorce rates recorded even in Plateau state back in the 1980s? ![]() |
Faposky95:I have absolutely no reason to want to ask that question at this point. That is because I have to accept that Life itself is unfairness and there is no mistake as to why it is exactly that way. ![]() |
triplechoice:No one is attempting to determine here the depth of the river that is marriage. What we are saying is that the river does not seem to benefit many as it used to and it may be time to fill parts of it in so the cost to the individual of crossing it is no longer as great as it used to be. ![]() |
Hanndye:So, you think that Jesus Christ's declaration seemed racist and so you felt the need to save Him by casting Him as some sort of liar? Interesting! ![]() You speak of the household of God but forget that the same God declared that He is the God of not, the Philistines, the Canaanites, or the Amelekites, but instead the God of Israel. You forget that this is the same God who proclaimed that His only inheritance in the 7 Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations; ask your father, and he will show you, your elders, and they will tell you.If God Himself declared that His Household is that which is comprised of the descendants of Jacob— people with the blood of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob running through their veins —, and Jesus Christ was submitted to the Will of His Father, YHWH(God of Israel), why then do you consider it racist that Jesus Christ would declare that His Father sent Him only to the Lost sheep of Israel? Why not outright declare that the God of Israel was racist from the get-go and abandon Him altogether? Why choose to ignore the Word of Jesus Christ when His Words are in following with that which was decreed by His Father? ![]() 2. I am not certain why you feel the need to mention the mixed company when the instructions given by the God of Isreal clearly that the Covenants belong only to those who are of the blood of Israel— descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob - Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20? . How could they have joined themselves to the Jews(the Benjamites, Levites, and Judaic subset of the original Nation of Israel) without being joined to them by blood— the life of a man is in his blood— of Jacob? How? 3. These stories of yours reveal ignorance of Scripture. Right there in John 3 vs 14 - 18, Jesus Christ told you that the people He came to redeem were those who were judged and cursed by God as a result of their disobedience of His Old Law. The people who you say are favored by God were judged and condemned by Him to perish in the grave. Jesus Christ, like the bronze snake, came to offer them salvation from that condemnation aka Death that they were condemned to. ![]() 4. If you look up what God said in Genesis 26 vs 2-5, you would understand that to have faith simply means to live one's life in submission and obedience to God's Law. That is after all what Abraham did— have faith in God— and was hence justified by God for. As a foreigner living in the land of Canaan, even the Canaanite woman was required to abide by the Law of Moses which happened to the National Constitution of the nation at the time. And for that, she too earned faith, even though she was not of the blood of Jacob. ![]() Yes, she had faith but her faith did not change the fact that she was not one of the Master's children, and as a foreigner she was entitled, even by The Old Law, only to the crumbs from the master's table. She said that herself, did she not? The Canaanite woman was not one of those whom He was sent to by His Father to redeem from the curse of the Old Law since by virtue of her not being an Israelite by birth— not of the blood of Israel —, she did not qualify. ![]() |
bishop212:Given the fact that as far back as the 1980s, the official divorce rate in parts of Nigeria were equally high, this claim of external influence, particularly the Western media, holds little to no water. You need evidence and facts, to blame the problem on external influence. ![]() |
bluefilm:... FireUpNow:Of course, marriage is but does that change the fact that marriage is on the decline meaning that the percentage of those venturing into marriage at the end of each day has seen a big drop? No! Is it necessarily a bad thing? No! ![]() |
bishop212:Seems more like a conclusion drawn from your refusal to accept that the society which is Nigeria ought to be responsible for its many problems and issues. ![]() |
Hanndye:Stop twisting yourself into knots over what is plainly written! ![]() 21 And Jesus went away from there and withdrew to the district of Tyre and Sidon. The woman in question invoked mercy under the Covenant of David and then asked to be healed by Jesus Christ by it. That was the problem. That Covenant only applied as far as those who were of the Blood of Jacob. Think of this a different way! According to the same you, Jesus Christ lived His Life in submission to the Old Law of Moses, so why would He have obliged her under the terms of a different Covenant that He was not even qualified to give to her? ![]() |
bishop212:Interesting claim! So, what you would have us believe is that the divorce rate recorded even in Plateaus state back in the 1980s was a result of Western media? ![]() The Extent and Rate of Divorce in Plateau State, Nigeria 1980 to 1988Denial is a sickness ravaging the minds of many a Nigerian, it seems! ![]() |
Ibkay32:Nobody is talking about perfection here but instead about making sure to double-check one's work to greatly minimize problems. If you have ever been hit by a typo problem yourself, you would understand how important it is for documents to be scrutinized. ![]() |
joseph1832:The fact that marriage today is struggling means the measures and ideas implemented around marriage in the past have failed and new ideas are needed. ![]() |
joseph1832:Abegi, make we hear word! Come here and see those very same Nigerians who complain to you raising their kids to equally disregard other people and parents. Their kids are the same kind of arseholes they claim they hate other kids for being. ![]() 2. Stop telling lies! The fact that the kids that were raised over the past 60 years are the same ones running that corrupt country into the ground today speaks volumes. Na dem are the politicians of today and many of them didn't even grow up in homes with television or fathers able to afford foreign newspapers. Your kids are not raised any better than the foreign kids are. This lie that they need to die! ![]() 3. Stop lying! ![]() |
Ibkay32:What evil? OP's statement is the lady points out typos in the works of her co-workers. Wouldn't the right thing for OP to do be to double-check her work every time in order not to miss anything and as such not get caught by her co-worker? ![]() |
Divoc19:But does working as a team mean she should not point out the errors in your work or something? You have been consoling her for months means other than your responsibilities as a member of the team, you have been paying undue attention to her person in the team, am I right? If you feel she has something against you as an individual then the best thing to do would be to follow the right channels in dealing with that so you both return to focusing on the work and the work alone. ![]() |
Ibkay32:Exactly! Imagine someone in this day and age falling so cheaply for psychological manipulation of that kind and then wanting us to believe it was the other woman who caused it. ![]() 2. You lost me! Cast and bind what evil? See her run why? ![]() |
Divoc19:How does upping your game amount to fighting dirty? You are aware that your work might contain typos and even gave examples of how those typos could be used as a weapon against your performance. So, what does telling you to make sure to doubly proofread your work amount to asking you to fight dirty? ![]() 2. Now you are simply sounding like a typical Nigerian, always thinking enemies are everywhere when they are merely running from their own shadows. ![]() |
Hanndye:The very pronouncement of Jesus Christ, the same one you pretend came to save you, are of my opinion? Yikes! So Jesus Christ who claimed to be the Word out of God's very own mouth is no longer so, according to you? Yaa, this na definitely argument by pigheadedness at play here. ![]() 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 |
Olorilolo:The numbers have nothing to do with social media at all. Remarriage trends, even in the south, do not seem enough to counter the abandonment trends. It is partly for this reason that the Government in Nigeria decided it was time to criminalize marriage abandonment for good. ![]() |
Olorilolo:You don't indulge me at all given that marriage has always been a partnership/agreement between a man and woman. Your denial of this fact is what concerns me instead. People quit business partnerships for various reasons and there is no law or reason why they shouldn't, particularly when there is no longer any benefit to be had in the union. ![]() 2. To get away with murder is an idiomatic expression get away with murder |
joseph1832:Oyibo kids are far better than your Nigerians children. Ask anyone who lives in Oyibo land to tell you the truth. ![]() |
joseph1832:Essentially you argue that sacrificing one's own happiness and quality of life for the sake of the children— an idea which failed those before you— is the idea which you are still attempting to sell those of this generation even after they have more than learned that it is typically one of the partners in the marriage that does much of that sacrificing at the end of the day? ![]() You are a comedian, aren't you? ![]() |
