Ken4Christ: ■ Hello, Mr Liar, Hell is vividly pictured as a place that burns with fire kindled by God himself. There is no fire in the physical grave and as such could not be referring to the grave; Deuteronomy 32:22 For a fire is kindled in mine anger, and shall BURN UNTO THE LOWEST HELL, and shall consume the earth with her increase, and set on fire the foundations of the mountains. Physical graves certainly can't fit into this statement. For instance, no fire burns in the physical grave. ■ Second, it says it shall burn to the lowest hell. So some compartment in hell are deeper than others. There is no such thing as lowest grave. In addition, it says it sets on fire the foundation of mountains. This explains the phenomenon of volcanic eruption. The fire causing it comes from hell beneath. 1. A supposedly intelligent being posted this as a response, abi? And when I tell you that you are seriously lacking in the language comprehension department, you pretend say na yab I dey yab you, abi? 20 So he said, ‘I will turn away from them, then let’s see what happens! They are a rebellious people. They are like children who will not learn their lessons. 21 They made me jealous with things that are not really gods. They made me angry with their worthless idols. So I will use people who are not really a nation to make them jealous. I will use a worthless nation to make them angry. 22 My anger will burn like a fire, burning down to the deepest grave, burning the earth and all it produces, burning deep down below the mountains. 23 “‘I will bring troubles to the Israelites. I will shoot all my arrows at them. 24 They will become thin from hunger. Terrible diseases will destroy them. I will send wild animals against them. Poisonous snakes and lizards will bite them. 25 In the streets, soldiers will kill them. In their houses, terrible things will happen. Soldiers will kill young men and women. They will kill babies and old people. 26 “‘I thought about destroying the Israelites so that people would forget them completely! 27 But I know what their enemies would say. The enemy would not understand. They would brag and say, “The Lord did not destroy Israel. We won by our own power!”’ - Deuteronomy 3 vs 20 - 27 Compare wetin God talk for the above passage to wetin you claim say Him means. Are you sure you are alright at all? 2. It seems your particular stock in trade is rendering the words out of the Mouth of the God of Israel into a lie and nothing else. you seem to get your kicks out of making a liar out of Him. Your ego thrives on this. This is God of Israel describing the burning of His anger against those who would disobey His Law in the Land but here you twist His words to assert it matches the convenient delusions of a hell which you claim is found in the middle of the earth. oluwafemi1993: ■ I believe that the salvation Christ gave us is Eternal but many are hiding under this belief to commit atrocities in the name of this once saved, forever saved syndrome. At a time, I got confused about which to believe. I have heard many great men of God and fathers of faith preach against this "once saved forever saved" but nowadays it seems we the 21st century christians see a better revelation than them. What we now hear in some churches is that a Christian cannot backslide and is saved forever once he or she confesses Christ as his Lord. Even though he or she dies in sin,his soul will be saved because there was once was a time he confesses Christ. ■ There is also this belief that only if one deny Christ alone will he be condemned to hell but any another sin committed by such individual will not result into hell. There are many scriptural references like Gal 5:19-21 'Now the works of the flesh are these..............they which commit all these will not inherit the kingdom of God". So, Brethern can you please enlighten us more on this issues. 1. I am afraid that not only is what you believe a lie but what you claim your so-called great men of God and fathers of your faith told you regarding this is all a lie. 26 “When the Son of Man comes again, it will be the same as it was when Noah lived. 27 People were eating, drinking, and getting married even on the day when Noah entered the boat. Then the flood came and killed them all. 28 “It will be the same as during the time of Lot, when God destroyed Sodom. Those people were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, and building houses for themselves. 29 They were doing these things even on the day when Lot left town. Then fire and sulfur rained down from the sky and killed them all. 30 This is exactly how it will be when the Son of Man comes again. 31 “On that day if a man is on his roof, he will not have time to go inside and get his things. If a man is in the field, he cannot go back home. 32 Remember what happened to Lot’s wife - Luke 17 vs 26 - 32 Recall that Jesus Christ told you to remember Lot's wife. If you remember well, Lot's wife was saved from the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah. However, She refused to stand faithful until the end— she disobeyed the other commandments given to them by the same angels. She was turned into a pillar of salt, a punishment different from that which befell those who were left back in sodom, but destruction nonetheless. What your religious overlords fail to tell you and this from ignorance, is that Jesus Christ offered those who would accept Him Two different Salvations, not one. ● The first salvation was from the condemnation of sin — Death, God's heavier curse which He inflicted on those who failed to meet the Standard of His Law of Moses. Those of them who would choose to first Salvation — become born-again — were granted Eternal Life(that which they failed to obtain from the Old Law because of their disobedience. This salvation is eternal in orientation — there is no undoing this salvation - John 3 vs 1 - 21. One a person is born of Spirit, that person cannot be unborn of the spirit — that contract is eternal and may spell doom for such a one if he/she decides to neglect the responsibility that comes with being bound to that eternal yoke.
● The second Salvation, however, only comes about when a born-again follower chooses to stand faithful until the end — Matthew 24 vs 12- 13 & Mark 13 vs 13. It could only be obtained through continuous submission and obedience to the teachings and commandments of God's Law until death. Only those among the born-agains who submit their lives to doing only that which He commands can obtain this second salvation which comes with a guarantee of Heaven at the end(Eternal Reward). Those who fall short and are unable to obtain the second salvation are guaranteed Eternity in Eternal Damnation.
2. Eternal damnation is a choice made by one who is first born-again (has received the first salvation) to refuse to stand faithful until the end like Lot's wife did. It's not a mistake that happens to one as a result of just one sin and it does not happen accidentally. No, Eternal Damnation is a continuous refusal to submit to and obey God's Law in the Kingdom of God. |

omotuntun: Matthew 6 New King James Version (NKJV) How do we explain this in the recent time, where everyone including then church go against this, whereby posting everything charity or support, to the world. Do Good to please God ---6 “Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. 3 But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly. The religion of Christianity, at least from its Roman roots has pretty much been Anti-Christ in its orientation. So, just accept that your beliefs have no association whatsoever with that which is of Jesus Christ and move on from there. |

being: ■The entire new testament was written to Christians.. Do u count it ordinary that the letters in the epistles are the ones that were cannonized? ■ Do u know hw many letters have been written to Christians ? Christians had better not follow this heresy so that their inheritance will not be deducted from like Rev 22:19 warns. ■ Because the next heresy after this is all of Paul is wrong, all of John is wrong, James is wrong ■ &revelation is an hallucination!! ■ Whereas the gospels itself cannot be understood well except with the light of the epistles. Christians should run from this wrong doctrine 1. That is not true at all. What you know today as your New Testament which includes the letters of Paul and the other apostles were not recognized until centuries later as the same. During the 40 years after the death of Jesus Christ, the only texts that were considered Gospel by the followers of Jesus Christ were the Gospel writings and nothing else. The book of Revelation was added much later to the list. The letters of the apostles, as the Catholic Enterprise informed you were included much later as part of what you refer to as the New Testament. 2. It doesn't matter how many letters were written as Jesus Christ sent His disciples out to preach only that which He gave to them and nothing more. 3. There are errors to be found in almost all of the letters. If you paid close attention to the teachings of Jesus Christ contained in the Gospels, you would be quick to spot them but it seems most of you don't care for any of the teachings and commandments of Jesus Christ, God's New Covenant and Law in the Kingdom of God. 4. Revelations was not written as an opinion piece as well as all of the letters. Rather, the Book of Revelations was instead presented as a record of visions given to John while he was away — not exiled— on the Island of Patmos, and this was before 70AD mind you. 5. That is the greatest lie ever told by the religion of Christianity to its many gullible adherents. The apostles who were mostly lay men when they encountered Jesus Christ were able to understand Him. Thousands who heard Him preach understood Him. So why do you believe the lie you have been fed by your religious mogs that you cannot understand the same Jesus Christ except if you visit the opinions of men written in letters? |

LordIsaac: ■ Let them keep picking and choosing what they believe in Scriptures. ■ There’s a curse hanging on whoever preaches any other doctrine. There’s nothing like “Teachings of Christ” vs “Teachings of Paul.” All Scripture, all, is given by the inspiration of God’s word…and is profitable for doctrine…reproof…correction…. Scripture affirms that a time like this will come. I pray you don’t fall from this end-time deceit by trying to remove the ancient landmark! 1. But that is exactly what all 47,000 denominations/sects of the religion of Christianity are notorious for doing. Do you think you are any different from them? I can prove to you that you are not. 2. phlopholly: ■ For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.—2 Timothy 1:7 Many diseases of both body and mind are self-inflicted. For example, ulcers are often caused by worry and anxiety. Heart attacks are caused many times by overexertion. Unjustified worry, fear, prejudice, hatred, and envy can contribute to mental stress, which could lead to mental illness. So one way to have a healthy mind is to avoid those practices. But the Bible way to a healthy mind is this, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” If you have the mind of Christ, worry will be offset by trust, enmity by love, and fear by faith. Have you ever read Leviticus 26 or Deuteronomy 28? God of Israel Himself cursed His people with many of those diseases and yes, it was a result of their disobedience of Him but those sicknesses and diseases are from Him. |

This sin committed by Adam and Eve was the reason behind our sins, struggles, pains and also will make most enter hell fire. Now my question is, what would be the faith of the duo of Adam and Eve? They should be the first to enter hell fire on the day of judgement since they brought us all into this mess. What would be the fate of those people that lived in the days of Adam, Noah. Abraham and the rest, would they be saved or they will enter hell fire since they lived before Jesus came? Adam and Eve were judged by God in Genesis 3 vs 16 - 24. There is no second judgment for them since that was God's final verdict on them both. Why you folks always second guess the one whom you claim to be God over you is what I find amazing. |

I came cross 1cor 11::5 which left me short of words this morning and juxterposing it with the old testament leaves my short of words on the fact most pentecostal church including mine. It's there another angle to this? This happens to be another one of the claims in Paul's letters that directly contravenes Jesus Christ who instead said in His Gospel that all men and women are equal and that He alone is Head/Master over those who belong to Him - Matthew 23 vs 8 - 10. 1 Follow my example, just as I follow the example of Christ. Being Under Authority 2 I praise you because you remember me in all things. You follow closely the teachings I gave you. 3 But I want you to understand this: The head of every man is Christ. And the head of a woman is the man.[a] And the head of Christ is God. 4 Every man who prophesies or prays with his head covered brings shame to his head. 5 But every woman who prays or prophesies should have her head covered. If her head is not covered, she brings shame to her head. Then she is the same as a woman who has her head shaved. 6 If a woman does not cover her head, it is the same as cutting off all her hair. But it is shameful for a woman to cut off her hair or to shave her head. So she should cover her head. 7 But a man should not cover his head, because he is made like God and is God’s glory. But woman is man’s glory. 8 Man did not come from woman. Woman came from man. 9 And man was not made for woman. Woman was made for man. 10 So that is why a woman should have her head covered with something that shows she is under authority. Also, she should do this because of the angels. 11 But in the Lord the woman needs the man, and the man needs the woman. 12 This is true because woman came from man, but also man is born from woman. Really, everything comes from God. 13 Decide this for yourselves: Is it right for a woman to pray to God without something on her head? 14 Even nature itself teaches you that wearing long hair is shameful for a man. 15 But wearing long hair is a woman’s honor. Long hair is given to the woman to cover her head. 16 Some people may still want to argue about this. But we and the churches of God don’t accept what those people are doing. - 1 Corinthians 11 vs 1 - 16 Counter to that laid down in the Gospels by the one whom Paul claims here is the authority over him, Paul seems to declare that he, Paul, opposes the ideas set down by Jesus Christ in regards to ● Jesus Christ's ruling that He alone is the only authority over even the women in His flock ● Jesus Christ's ruling that all men and women are governed by the same rules in the Kingdom of God. 8 “But you must not be called ‘Teacher.’ You are all equal as brothers and sisters. You have only one Teacher. 9 And don’t call anyone on earth ‘Father.’ You have one Father. He is in heaven. 10 And you should not be called ‘Master.’ You have only one Master, the Messiah. 11 Whoever serves you like a servant is the greatest among you. 12 People who think they are better than others will be made humble. But people who humble themselves will be made great. - Matthew 23 vs 8 - 12 ● Jesus Christ's ruling that marriages are of the world of men and not of the Kingdom of God 34 Jesus said to the Sadducees, “On earth, people marry each other. 35 Some people will be worthy to be raised from death and live again after this life. In that life they will not marry. [b]36 In that life people are like angels and cannot die. They are children of God, because they have been raised from death. - Luke 20 vs 34 - 35 ● Jesus Christ's ruling that honor comes to both men and women in His flock only through their continuous submission and obedience to His teachings and commandments. 23 Jesus answered, “All who love me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them. My Father and I will come to them and live with them. 24 But anyone who does not love me does not obey my teaching. This teaching that you hear is not mine. It is from my Father who sent me. - John 14 vs 23 - 24 Whoever wrote this portion of the letter — Paul is assumed the writer of course—, did not agree with much of what Jesus Christ taught in His Gospel regarding these things. To add to it, the writer even went as far as to add his own rules to suggest that he has authority given him to add or change God's very own Law as he sees fit. |

rexben: But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him. Matt 6:7-8. Repeating a request most time is due to lack of believe - doubt. When there's doubt, it is either you don't believe the capability of God to answer you or you're asking what He never promised to give to you. ■ Praying, "God provide clothes for me, pls provide clothes for me, I need clothes O Lord" is what Jesus called vain repetition. Why not say,God give me money? Why hammer on it, when you know that the person you're talking to is not deaf nor wicked. For the unconverted pursue these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. Matt 6:32 Not doubt but disobedience aka Sin! So, whenever your church pastors, mogs, and members pray in the open, your many prayers, you sin against God. Same as when you pray your many prayer points aloud and repeatedly. 2. Beautifulday: ■ There's a difference between the names above and personalized God. You can't call something your God without an encounter and a covenant. ■ Make I tell you one story a man told us. The man is still alive but very old now. He said when he was young, young people were doing a lot of things in the village then. So this guy and his friends when to one tree and began to pour drink. Gave it a name and began to ask for protection and favor. No one knows if it was working for them until, one of them had problem with someone. He went to the tree and told it to afflict the person with stomach pain. It happened instantly. They later cured the person at that tree. After some years, those guys left for the city. No one was pouring drink to the tree again. All of them died except one. He was struck with dangerous sickness without cure. After many years of seeking help. They went for spiritual inquiry. Lol! Them say the guy nah chief priest say nah him God dey deal with am. Them no understand because everyone has forgotten the tree. They kept going to places until one seer told them to take him to the tree. After he do normal for the tree. One week he got himself back. If you claim say my God nah your God without knowing who my God is. Anything you see nah you know. 1. I hope you are not in fact here trying to get us to believe that the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, goes around making private covenants/contracts with individuals, in addition to the one Covenant He has given to the Lost sheep of Israel through Jesus Christ. 2. I do hope you do not for one believe what those men in your fable there were able to do with that tree, a story which I highly doubt by the way since I have never been able to get any tree to grant me my desires — even Jesus Christ was not able to do that with the fig tree —, applies as far as the God of Israel and Jesus Christ, His Son. |

Do you know why? Yes! Timothy and everyone who lived during the generation that Jesus Christ spoke lived the Last Days of God of Israel's Judgement against the Nation of Israel(and Judah) in the land of Canaan by His Law of Moses. 32 “The fig tree teaches us a lesson: When its branches become green and soft, and new leaves begin to grow, then you know that summer is very near. 33 In the same way, when you see all these things happening, you will know that the time[d] is very near, already present. 34 I assure you that all these things will happen while some of the people of this time are still living. 35 The whole world, earth and sky, will be destroyed, but my words will last forever. - Matthew 24 vs 32 - 35 ... 30 I assure you that all these things will happen while some of the people of this time are still living. 31 The whole world, earth and sky, will be destroyed, but my words will last forever. - Mark 13 vs 30 - 31 ... 29 Then Jesus told this story: “Look at all the trees. The fig tree is a good example. 30 When it turns green, you know that summer is very near. 31 In the same way, when you see all these things happening, you will know that God’s kingdom is very near. 32 “I assure you that all these things will happen while some of the people of this time are still living. 33 The whole world, earth and sky, will be destroyed, but my words will last forever. - Luke 21 vs 29 - 33 So, do you not believe what Jesus Christ said of the time in question? 2. It's the sole reason you keep making general and too empty assumptions/conclusions. My advice? Stop dabbling into what you know nothing about. Your inquisitiveness should propel you to know the truth as a person, not picking Bible verses in isolation and in total departure from context to argue blindly. FYI, Jesus Christ is the ONLY savior of the world sent by God to save humanity including you. You'll do well to read more about this starting with this popular scripture, John 3:16. Jesus loves you, turn to him so you can understand deep things of God otherwise they'll be foolishness to you. ■ And please know that there's a clear difference between Christianity and religion. I believe totally in the former and detest the latter. PS: I would love to discontinue this topic with you, because I lack the courage to endure empty submissions. God bless you brother. 1. While in the desert, God sent snakes to kill the Israelites for complaining. And then God told Moses to lift a bronze snake proclaiming that those of the people of Israel— no mention of the foreigners who lived among them in the entire tale— bitten by the snakes(condemned to die) who would choose to look up at the bronze statue would be saved from death(condemnation of death), a sentence inflicted on them by God Himself. 4 The Israelites left Mount Hor and traveled on the road that goes to the Red Sea. They did this to go around the country of Edom. But the people became impatient. 5 They began complaining against God and Moses. The people said, “Why did you bring us out of Egypt? We will die here in the desert! There is no bread and no water! And we hate this terrible food!” 6 So the Lord sent poisonous snakes among the people. The snakes bit the people, and many of the Israelites died. 7 The people came to Moses and said, “We know that we sinned when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray to the Lord. Ask him to take away these snakes.” So Moses prayed for them. 8 The Lord said to Moses, “Make a bronze snake and put it on a pole. If anyone is bitten by a snake, that person should look at the bronze snake on the pole. Then that person will not die.” 9 So Moses made a bronze snake and put it on a pole. Then when a snake bit anyone, that person looked at the bronze snake on the pole and lived. - Numbers 21 vs 4 - 9 Moses lifted the bronze snake, and those who looked at it lived. Jesus Christ told you in His Gospel that in much the same way that Moses lifted the snake in the desert for the people of Israel so also He too would be raised as a beacon for those among them — the people of Israel — who wished to live after they had been condemned to die by God of Israel - Deuteronomy 28. 14 “Moses lifted up the snake in the desert. It is the same with the Son of Man. He must be lifted too. 15 Then everyone who believes in him can have eternal life.” 16 Yes, God loved the world so much that he gave his only Son so that everyone who believes in him would not be lost but have eternal life. 17 God sent his Son into the world. He did not send him to judge the world guilty but to save the world through him. - John 3 vs 14-16 God is responsible for condemning the Israelites to perish in the grave — lost. And He, God then also sent Jesus Christ to save the same people... Israel... after condemning them to die. Same as He did with the serpent back in the desert. So, in essence, The World that Jesus Christ was sent to is the same world that consists of those condemned of Israel aka the Lost sheep of Israel. Just as Jesus Christ made clear in Matthew 15 vs 21 - 28. And this is the same message delivered to the people through the prophets such as Isaiah, Jeremiah, Zechariah, Joel, Ezekiel, etc. who made known that the New Agreement which God made was with the House of Jacob. Are you certain that I am the naive one here for trying to cause you to see how what your churches do differs completely from that which is Jesus Christ and His original Church in the Book of Acts did? 2. The only difference you see exists in your mind and nowhere else. Christianity is no different from all the other religions out there including its predecessor, Judaism, which the God of Israel disavowed and Jesus Christ railed against during His time. This idea you have of Christianity being different from all the others is instead a lie planted in your mind by your religious leaders who manipulate you with their many lies, the same as the leaders in other religions do to their gullible members. All religions are merely tools used by men to deceive and use their fellow men with. P.S. I am not your brother - Matthew 12 vs 43 - 50. |

adeiza4u: ■ Give verifiable examples. Do you mean ALL churches in the whole world don't follow Christ doctrine? Given that All your churches are under the rule of religion which of anti-Christ in its very nature, it is impossible for them to do that which is of Jesus Christ. ● Consider the simple commandments such as praying always in secret and in hiding, how many of you do that? ● Consider the fact that Jesus Christ said He was sent only to the Lost sheep of Israel, how many of you believe that? ● Jesus Christ said in His Gospel that He does not want praise from humans, and He receives glory from God --- not from men. However, your churches instead seem to teach that praising Jesus Christ is the way to receive from Him, and that you give Him glory through your many rituals. All of these are acts that contravene that spoken by Jesus Christ. |

adeiza4u: ■ The good works done then are nonexistent in all churches today, how did you arrive at this conclusion? I guess you've attended all the churches in the whole world to know So, in your church not only do all of the believers exhibit all of the signs indicated by Jesus Christ in Mark 16 vs 16 - 19 but they, all of the times, go around doing good with them yet no one in the world knows of it? Everyone in your church busies themselves doing all 6 works commanded by Jesus Christ in Matthew 25 vs 31 - 46 yet the world is blind to this -- they are able to hide the light of God in them under a bed? |

adeiza4u: ■ You're just making empty conclusions without fact. What proofs do you have that the then churches are totally different from today's? You keep shifting grounds and committing error of over-generalization. Your initial stands portend churches are entirely antichrist entity and then you went on to agree the then churches were okay, but today's churches are man made religious bodies to deceive people. ■ What are your inferences and facts to arrive at this? What are these errors of overgeneralization you accuse me of? Please be specific. 2. Simple! Your churches today DO NO infact follow the teachings of Jesus Christ but hybrid ideas created by those outside of Jesus Christ for running religious houses aka businesses. |

adeiza4u: So, are you suggesting the early churches in Acts of Apostles are antichrist? Your churches today have absolutely nothing to do with the early churches written of in the Book of Acts and you know this to be true. The fact that all of the good works that were done back then are nonexistent in what you have as a church today more than covers for that. So, start by being honest with yourself there. What you have is instead a product that is a result of attempts by greedy men to hijack the movement and make it their own, an attempt made official by Rome and branded for all. The original was never that way or for that purpose. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Are The Old Testament Believers In Heaven? by Kobojunkie: 8:59am On Mar 08, 2024 |
FixNaija: ■ Fellow brethren, I listened to a message on radio this morning about the likes of our father Abraham, Moses, David, Peter, Paul and many others not being in heaven yet but waiting for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. The man of God said something about the 1st, 2nd and 3rd heaven. He said the 1st heaven is where the birds and other celestial creatures exist, the 2nd heaven is where we have the moon, sun and the planets and the 3rd heaven is where God almighty resides and that is where the righteous will be taken to after the second coming of Christ. The good thing is, he had biblical text supporting all of these but I couldn't take them down because I was busy. Can someone please help with those scriptures? I am afraid you have been scammed. ● There is no one in Heaven(Eternal Reward) or Hell(Eternal Damnation) inside of the Kingdom of God to this day. All dead born-agains sleep in their graves awaiting the return of Jesus Christ and His Judgment of the sheep and goats in the Kingdom. All those first heaven, second heaven tales are just that... tales. ● And as for Heaven for those of the Old Testament, their Heaven is forever in the land of Canaan as described by God in Deuteronomy 30 vs 15 - 20. That promise will only be fulfilled after the resurrection, not before. Until that time arrived, all the Old Prophets and saints of old sleep in their graves waiting for the time when God will restore His Holy land and gather back His Israel. |

adeiza4u: ■ Yes! invariably it is possibe just as he said, but the posibility of having such a church is very rare. My earnest prayer is that we would not be part of those who constitute unrighteousness in His holy church. Religion is Antichrist since God of Israel disavowed His former shepherds - Ezekiel 34 vs 1 - 31 - and Jesus Christ distanced Himself from religious leaders, their doctrines and traditions beginning with those of His time, warning that they were all liars and deceivers, false prophets and false teachers - Matthew 15 vs 1 - 10 & Mark 7 vs 1 - 13. Jesus Christ never changed His mind regarding that; He declared that He alone is the good Shepherd--- all other Shepherds are bad. So, how can that which is of darkness breed light? How can that which is against Holiness breed that which is of holiness? |

Theophinio: ■ Thank you very much sir for this clarification In Matthew 25 vs 31 - 46, Jesus Christ explained how He is the King in the Kingdom of God where Heaven(Eternal Reward) and Hell(Eternal Damnation) both coexists in. And to enter into the Kingdom of God one must be born-again- John 3 vs 1 - 21. Essentially, only those who are first born-again can end up at the end in either Heaven(Eternal Reward) or Hell(Eternal Damnation). None born-agains cannot enter into the Kingdom of God and hence cannot end up in Heaven(Eternal Reward) or Hell(Eternal Damnation). |

adeiza4u: I agree with you in a sense. But I don't believe all churches are antichrist. My church isn't perfect, granted, but it's not an antichrist. Lol... But God's requirement is perfection/holiness and nothing less. He destroyed the Nation of Israel(circa 720Bc) and then the Nation of Judah(around 70AD) because the people did not meet up with this requirement of His. So of what value is this your imperfect church to a God who said it is Holiness/perfection and nothing else? What do you gain from wasting your time and life in unholiness that way? P.S. if God destroyed His own chosen nation of Israel for that reason, what makes you think your church is acceptable to Him? He does not change His mind, remember. |

Theophinio: My fellow Christians in the house, please clarify this spiritual truth for a brother. Thanks as you do so #PEACE The Kingdom of God refers to the Nation of Priests which the God of Israel promised He would establish in Exodus 19 vs 6. Kingdom of Heaven is a domain within the Kingdom of God much like Hell(Eternal Damnation) also is. |

morganist99: I have gone to some churches and noticed that it is mostly women that get moved by the holy spirit ....you will see them falling up and down why the men will not be moved....pls explain.... If you attend rock concerts and music festivals, you will equally observe that similarly, women are more likely to get carried away by a similar "holy spirit" even there as well. The "holy spirit" that works both in your churches and out in music arenas and on rock concerts is usually referred to as euphoria, a feeling. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Why Did John Refer To Christians As Little Children by Kobojunkie: 1:37am On Mar 08, 2024 |
STEVENcrack: ■ i noticed in 1st and 2nd john believers were referredto as little children.. ■ my thoughts was that its bcoz of his old age as being the only disciple that wasn't martyred.though he thrown into hot boiling oil he defiled it by God's grace. share you thoughts. Maybe John was merely parroting what Jesus Christ had said of those who are to come to Him. 13 Then the people brought their little children to Jesus so that he could lay his hands on them to bless them and pray for them. When the followers saw this, they told the people to stop bringing their children to him. 14 But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them, because God’s kingdom belongs to people who are like these children.” - Matthew 19 vs 13 - 14 2. There is no evidence that John was ever thrown in boiling oil, nor is there evidence to back the claim that John was on exile on the island of Patmos. Those rumors, like many others regarding the martyrdom of the apostles, were instead spread by the religion of Christianity for dubious purposes. |
