Abimboye highlighted a notable achievement in this area, stating that the Governor recently paid backlogs of cooperative deductions and half salaries totaling One Billion, Six Hundred and Eighty-Eight Million, Two Hundred and Twenty-Five Thousand, Seventy-Three Naira, and Seventy-Two Kobo.
The media executive, who hails from Ode-Omu in Ayedaade Local Government Area, further commended Governor Adeleke’s strides in road infrastructure. He emphasized that the Governor has rehabilitated and reconstructed over 90 kilometers of intercity roads across all nine Federal constituencies in the state.
“Governor Adeleke has demonstrated exemplary leadership and a clear vision for the future of Osun State. He promised five flyover bridges across the state, and as of today, construction has begun with the two in Osogbo, the state capital,” Abimboye said.
Abimboye also praised the Governor’s dedication to improving the quality of life for all residents through various projects and policies. He highlighted Adeleke’s strong emphasis on economic empowerment, particularly initiatives aimed at supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and encouraging youth entrepreneurship. “These programs are crucial in fostering economic growth and creating job opportunities for our young people,” Abimboye added.
Furthermore, Abimboye commended Governor Adeleke’s focus on healthcare, noting the construction and upgrade of hospitals and primary health centers across the state. These efforts, he said, have significantly enhanced access to quality medical services for the people of Osun, contributing to improved overall health outcomes.

That said, the development Nigeria needs remains at the following levels( in no particularly order)

■ Clean Water Supply
■ Sewage
■ Good Roads(roads built by the ancient Romans thousands of years ago are still very much available to this day)
■ Passenger Rail
■ Security
■ Reliable internet and mobile services
■ Waste Management
■ Strong healthcare system
■sturdy educational & training System
■a Welfare/Social system...

These are pro-people and pro-business developments that have yet to happen in Nigeria to date.

For those who would be quick to praise him, remember that it is in the last 5 years of his sitting as governor of Bauchi that Education deteriorated to the level that it stands today in the state with almost a million out-of-school children roaming the streets.

And this is the problem with the story you Anambra people tell of your Obi. He left hundreds of millions of dollars in the Anambra account while lots and lots of works were left undone in the same State. That is terrible government. Compare Obi to Fashola who around the very same time took to embarking on drastic development in his state, and you will immediately see how Obi is not what Nigerians need at all.

I recall commenting on a thread back around the time Obi was Governor where the man was reported to have gone to commission Pit toilets in somewhere in Anambra state. Why would a governor sitting on millions of dollars not have considered instead working extensively on sewage management, clean water supply, and sanitation programs and projects?

For almost 8 years, Obi impeded the progress at the Local Government level. Yes, if he had not sat on the money meant for LGA development and had instead helped educate the people on the functions of the LG, maybe much work would have been done at that level at least but he instead hampered progress at that level.

You say Anambra schools were elevated by Obi yet a drive through Anambra today would reveal that many of the schools in the same State are dilapidated and have been so even through Obi's time as governor, particularly schools in remote regions of the same State. Why would a man sit on millions of dollars and do nothing in those cases? Let's stop telling these ridiculous lies abeg!
