Really surprised seeing Kwakwaso and Obi talking as if they are new in the system. These are former governors who ruled for good eight years and nothing much to show and the same thing goes to Tinubu and Atiku, they are part of the system and now people are telling us they are the messiahs....I pity naija youths.

Normal thing,,, American citizens should avoid SW especially Lagos cos from Sunday this week commissioner for thuggery affairs MC Oluomo n co will deploy their own agbero RRS
America citizens will rather stay in Lagos than going to Anambra where unknown gunmen are having field days and SW is safer than SE,reason we see people from all regions especially SE coming to Lagos....My advice just vote wisely for better tomorrow.

Well, I wanted to be sure if he really got the talent to execell before he embarks on this journey but now I know, I am seeking God's guidance.

I am also aware that he could go against me since I be em father na. grin Omo ti ekun ba ekun ni jo. grin

That was another reason I jejelly took himself to the academy before it gets to that stage.

So, for now, he understands I am supporting him but on condition he must finish schooling.

Make election finish before I see wetin go happen.

Thanks baba.
I remember you asked about good academy sometimes ago...since you want education, why not try Kwara football academy. They have very sound school curriculum with good environment. The school principal is a brother who don’t joke with academic.

Just show him videos of Socrates, tell him Socrates was a medical doctor while playing in multiple WCs. Adokie Amasemaka was a law student while playing for Nigeria, he even became AG of his state, mathematical Segun finished from the polytechnic, Felix Owolabi has a PhD, Bonucci has a masters, Olofinjana has a masters etc. Long story short, he should try to do both. Infact you can use carrot and stick, with football has the carrot to be enjoyed but the condition is, he must perform well in school. Good luck Baba Oloye!!!
Good advice. In the 80s and 90s it was easy combining education with football cos Nigeria has a blueprint and then football was not really professional, clubs used NUGA games as scouting field for players.

Amen! Thanks.

I think so too. That's why I am thinking of getting a club closer to me or look for school nearby. After election, I will see what happens. Although I prefer the place ooo.

Football career na 50/50 and it has short. That's why I am emphasizing he goes to school while playing football.
Nice one baba,if your boy is extremely talented then he should face his education and get local academy for him in your area....Emma Olisadebe was a university student doing what professional footballer cannot do.If he had his Dad support he would have been a Nigeria great but it took coach Amusa Adisa to tell him forget your Dad and face football.I remember world university games changed Emma story.

Truly, not easy combining education with football.Jonathan Akpoborie and Emma Emenalo left football, went to US universities and returned to football but only few can do this successfully......Sincerely the ball is in your court to let your boy achieve his dreams and don’t be surprised if your boy goes against you if you insists on education first...Taiwo Awoniyi used his Jamb fees to travel and had successful trial with academy, but later had the university degree his father wanted him to have....Sir,just guide your son to achieve his dreams.

Family › Re: My Cousin "Disowned" Her Son. by Kog45(m): 6:19pm On Feb 15, 2023
Mancala:
"The boy is a wicked, foolish, unreasonable and an ungrateful son." You may be right, but remember that we are talking about a 16/17 yo, an immature minor who has limited life experience and still reasons like a child. At that age and stage in life, we expect kids to be irrational and make mistakes, however, how we handle the situation can make or break the child. I agree that there should be consequences, but not necessarily extreme in nature to the extent of permanently disowning the boy. There needs to be a middle ground, a way to teach the boy to become a better person and grow up into a responsible man, rather than emotionally breaking him like he did to his mother. An eye for an eye leaves everyone blind. My suggestion is that the Mother should talk to him (maybe after a few months) and tell him in clear terms how he has erred/wronged the family and that due to this, she nor her immediate family no longer trust him and she cannot risk bringing him to the UK at this point in time. Is that not the plain truth of the matter? And that is one of the consequences for his actions. She can then offer him an incentive that if he does well in school and completes his secondary and university education, she will be willing to help bring him to the UK for his Masters degree. And remember, there is no difference between a deadbeat Dad and a deadbeat Mum. You can't just up and disown your minor child. You are still legally responsible for that child until he/she becomes an adult. She shouldn't act like the the supposed Dad did.
APT...honestly you are highly responsible with your comment.
Family › Re: My Cousin "Disowned" Her Son. by Kog45(m): 6:12pm On Feb 15, 2023
The father is a fool...you impregnated a lady but denied her in the presence of both families tagged her ashawo but went behind to claim the boy that was raised by his mum, again suffering the boy, some men are just heartless....well it served the boy right but at his age we cannot condemn him cos it is easy to deceive teenagers especially 15 to 19 years of age.He should be forgiven and if possible he should be taken from that irresponsible father.Going to UK to join his mum should be the last thing for now, talking should be the focal point on why he cannot join his Mum but to face his education.

***My sister had similar story but she survived it cos family rally rounded her,and her daughter is now in UK doing her masters degree.

Very true.
I have been there.
I thought I was strong.
When anyone dies I don't cry. But when I lost my beloved and only sister.
I cried river. I wailed. I lost it. Sometimes I blanked out while walking on the road.
Most times, I will just be talking to someone and pause to ask, so it's true I won't be able to see her again? Funny enough, most of the people I will be asking, did not even know I lost a sister.

When I got to my parents house after we left the burying ground, I saw my dad and the first question he asked was is it true? You mean you have buried her and she is gone for life?

Imagine, this was someone that had died for a week ooh, laid in the morgue yet they couldn't come to terms with loosing her.
They were simply hoping it was a dream, that she will wake up and come back to them.
It dawned on them it was true after all, just when she was confirmed buried.

I tell you my mum almost lost her sanity.

But thank God for good people around.

Loosing a beloved one is an everlasting pain.

RIP once again my dearly beloved sister. I love you with the love of God, you will for ever remain in my heart Sister mi.
It is well bro.Pls hold your mum tight.

You don't always value what you have until you lose it...

Same thing goes for all these young girls with hot blood and blocked brain giving out their virtuous and virginity within the last 24 hours...

Don't lose your dignity and virtue to nonsense, worthless and valueless things! You'll always regret it.

I know some fools that have lost their virginity to Indomie and fanta, pizza, ice-cream and all sorts of nonsense.

Your virginity is the most valuable and most precious thing you have to give any man.

Any man who tells you that your virginity or past doesn't matter is ONLY DECEIVING YOU!
That man is definitely not a responsible man or he only wants you for fun and something casual...

No high value man prefers to make a SLÚT or WHORÈ a wife or the mother of his children, even if she's the most beautiful woman in the world.
No one likes leftover...
No one like a used product...
No man likes a girl that has been ran through and passed around like football by various men...
Most importantly, NO CHILD WANTS TO BE BORN BY A WHORÈ OR A RETIRED SLÚT...

YOU CAN GIVE A LOT OF MEN

LOVE
MARRIAGES
CHILDREN etc
BUT YOU CAN ONLY GIVE ONE MAN YOUR VIRGINITY!
IS SUCH VALUABLE GIFT NOT WORTH GIVING SOMEONE SPECIAL THAT YOU WANT TO SPEND THE REST OF YOUR LIFE WITH?
I love your sermon and you are on point but life is more than this stuff you put out...Fact good to marry a virgin but have you asked yourself why virgin wife cheats cos I have seen it happened not one or two and I have seen non virgin wife that remain loyal and didn’t cheat....The question is what went wrong, sometimes it takes a grace to really understand what is marriage all about.

As you said...Good to have good past but if one don’t have it is not the end of the world,We all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God....to our young ladies out there good to maintain your dignity but if you have missed it then it is not the end of the world, correct yourself cus there are men out there that still love you no matter the situation...pls maintain your virginity if you are still intact.

RIP Sammy Okposo and wishing her wife well cus it’s not easy.

Premium oil dey your head!!!! But then again, truth be told, sometimes some monikers talk about him too much and seem to paint the picture that his inclusion in the team will resolve all the team's shortcomings. The excessive mention sometimes seems awkward. All that said, I wish Nwakali nothing but the best for his career even whether he plays for 9ja or doesn't. After all players like Owubokiri, Akpoborire and Obiku had somewhat good careers in Europe without playing so much for 9ja.
That’s what am driving at,career wise Nwakili need to put his club career on a strong note and make money for himself, national team to some players is secondary....

Yes Richard Owubokiri ,Jonathan Akpoborie,Mike Obiku,Mike Emenalo and Chris Ohenhen had very limited cap for eagles but they are very successful though they are educated.I remember when Sani Kaita was picked ahead of Seyi Olofinjana to 2010 WC,Seyi didn’t felt bad cos he knows where he was going and see Seyi now and where is Kaita.....our players should try and add something to their football careers, really happy for Awoniyi and Ndidi for getting university certificates.

When Peter Rufai faced similar situation just like what Nwakili is facing now he went back to school and was able to have certificate during that period and later made US 94 and Afcon 94.

Kelechi Nwakili@24 years old has next season to do the needful and don’t be surprised seeing him in oil rich league if he fails to earn good contract in Europe. These players want their life to be secured.....Check out Kayode Olarewaju and Raheem Lawal mansions in Lekki then you will realized need to make money as a player.

I wish Nwakili well if it is Turkey calling he should just go and enjoy himself with cool money.
