kellycute: Rohr is a big fool . How dare u dropped nacho for that tall for nothing striker. Group stage exit await y'all. Nonsense Not Nacho fan but I will never take Onuachu to Afcon with what I saw yesterday. I still doubt the guy abilities cos have watched him three times in eagles colour and am not impressed. But this should serve as a lesson to Nacho who refused to find his way out of Leicester even through loan. It is a pity his goal ratio and pedigree as eagles striker could not save him. My man just support this team. |

R2bees: I'm hearing the SE camp is boiling because of the list and it is not unconnected with Iheanacho inclusion to the squad. Rohr wants to drop him but NFF bigwigs are kicking. Pls where are you guys getting this info from.Dropping Iheanacho should not be a big deal abi Rohr is not always in charge when it comes to squad list cos am more confuse with this unverified info. |

But do not be surprised if Onuachu losses out at the end of the day if he fail to impress today so still dicey. Iheanacho can still make it but base on Onuachu performance today. |

mikel/etebo as CM Ndidi/Ajayi as DM...
so ogu can be excused
Cc: Andrew444 cc: Kog45 I think Iheanacho did not help his situation. Why not get a loan out even if it was championship club, his situation would have been better now cos i don't see him making it unless things turn around. Hmmm Ogu,well it's left for Rohr to decide coz after watching Ogu against England prior to WC i think he deserve to be integral part of the team but i don't think Rohr really fancy him,so do not be surprised if he is drop. But the point remains that that team still produced quality SE players. If it were today peeps will write them off as "the worst Flying Eagles ever" Kanu always on the bench |

Icon4s: Putting Kanu on that list I think was an error. Kanu was part of the Qualifiers but was dropped to the Golden Eaglets team when the final AYC team came up. I was a journalist just like that fellow that wrote that stuff too. Chief how is your health? hope you are feeling better now. It's well boss. Kanu was part of Mauritius AYC 93 squad but was drafted to Japan 93 with Emma Babayaro who was equally part of AYC 93 squad. This was made possible by Clemens Westerhoff but then U17 coach Fanny Amu did not fancy the idea if not for NFA who insisted that the duo must be part of U17. Emma Babayaro suffered for this cos he was far better than no1 choice Emma Okhenebo but talent put Kanu Nwankwo through cos i remember how Kanu was benched against Australia but proved Fanny wronged by coming from the bench to put the match beyond Aussie team. Pls check archive and see the the full list of AYC Mauritius 93 Nigeria team that have Jayjay Okocha,Taribo West,Emma Teberen,Andrew Aihkomogbe,Emma Babayaro,KANU Nwankwo and others. |

Danielnino00: I'm not talking about this season.. I'm talking about the super eagles.. of what use is it if Aina wins the serie A player of the season but still can't replicate such good performance in the GWG?
Player selection in every national team is usually based on sentient.. Why did Deschamps drop Lacazette fot Giroud at the world cup? Why did Germany drop Sane? Why did Portugal drop Nelson Semedo? why did Belgium drop Nainngolan?? ..Its all based on the coach preference.. and it was glaring to all that Aina didn't do well..
So I ask u again, mention one good game he has had in the GWG to prove that he deserves a starting shirt!! Chairman I understand your point but you mean Aina at 22 with very few appearances for SE cannot turn to a better player for SE cos saying Echijele at this stage would be your preferred choice gave me goose pimple. |

iSlayer: Do. you know I am amazed Oasis007. I am truly amazed Bro, I've been here for about six months or thereabouts and I didn't spot you all this time. Politics Section Yoruba Warrior. Nice cover. Upvote.
I started frequenting this thread around that preworldcup period Safari, Chriskels and Supernerd used to be at loggerheads with certain monikers here day and night. I didn't understand then. Now I do. Another tournament has come and now you and Forgiveness are taking your warrior seats.. Interesting.
So in essence, your argument for Aina's inclusion is simply your disgusting tribalism. Continue arguing rubbish, you've been made.
Kog45 I see your argument is also towing the same path. I was a tad surprised, so. you're also an Odua warrior? I actually respected you around here. Interesting.
Well, you're free to express your silly tribalistic views here. Personally, I don't think it's sensible to bring tribal sentiments into NATIONAL TEAM discourse so I don't do that. It's called a National Team for a reason.
I'm just watching you from the other side of THE DIVIDE.
I trust Rohr to pick the best or at least something close. Oh talking about Aina is now odua warrior. My man pls you are free to check my comments on nairaland and point out where am being tribalistic. It was on this thread I said football belonged to the Igbo whether we like it or not My man am too big for all these afonjas ipobs wahala. |

forgiveness: It's very important I personally assess a player before forming an opinion about him. That's why I try to see them play with my two naked eyes because I don't trust some peeps opinions here due to some obvious reasons.
How can one say Aina is not good defensively an yet we see him play LWB, RWB, RB and LB consistently in the championship and Seria A?
What do they think Seria A is all about?
How many goals C Ronaldo manage score this season compared to la Liga?
The same Aina is a starter in Seria A and won 2 MOTM in that same position after he won that in the championship.
Some people can be very mischievous in analyzing Nigerian players just for some personal reasons known to dem.
I understand why Aina doesn't take national team seriously. It's because he knows the best are never picked.
Why should he put his club career in jeopardy for a national team that already has preferred players with automatic shirts?
Victor Moses saw the unambitious team and called it quit. It was on this thread i was hearing how Aina was dribbled, caught unaware, out of position or lack defensive capabilities. I remember a popular moniker who like to post anytime Aina had below average performance at Hull City on this thread to ridicule him but really surprised not to see such weekly report on Ebuehi,Shehu and Idowu whereas these guys too do have off days. If Aina can command regular shirt at Torino and we don't have better player doing that presently in Europe then why the bashing. Hope to see Ebuehi back who I see as the only reliable RB,LB,RWB,LWB who can shake the table not player like makeshift Shehu Abdullahi. |
