Omeruo have played in the rb position couple of times for the super eagles but he was below par.

Omeruo is the least when compared to our current CBs
Charles baba who are the current CBs that are better than Omeruo.

My man i can bet it with you when chips are down Rohr would turned to Omeruo even ahead of Ekong, hope you remember 2018 WC and Afcon 2019.

Laughing see you guys rating Awaziem ahead of Omeruo

...but it seems you don't fancy Omeruo.

I know Firmino is hard working blablabla but at the end of the day a striker who bring plenty goals will get more recognition. Do you know Firmino has never scored 20 league goals in his career?
Jihday man so you are expecting Firmino to be scoring 20 goals in a season with the presence of Sallah.

Sometimes we need to look beyonds scoring goals and see the impact of some players on the field.

I rate Firmino highly,my opinion.

Osimhen shouldn't try joining Chelsea ooo.

Left for me, I would even rate Batshuayi higher than Tammy Abraham if given the opportunity to do so.

What he has been lacking is playing time as what has been working for Tammy is the championship experience with Lampard in the dough out
Oh you mean benching Batshuayi and Giroud for Tammy is based on sentiment by Lampard.

My man football is all about trust and Tammy has not failed Lampard and i want to tell you Tammy is better than Batshuayi.

Oh Osimhen,i don't want to make the comparison but i don't see Osimhen joining Chelsea with Tammy available but if he does then i will be extremely happy as a Chelsea Fan, meaning we are going to have reminiscent of Yorke and Cole of old Man Utd.

I have a lot of respect for Fury and in terms of quality and sheer ability I think Fury is a threat to Joshua. Fury vs Joshua would be anybody's fight buy Wilder vs Aj is gonna be in Joshua's favour u can bank on dat bro.
Yeah you are right, honestly I have a lot of respect for Fury.

AJ vs Fury would bring us back to great boxing show

Yeah 50/50 but boxer like Wilder would never last a round with boxing legend Mohammed Ali.

All AJ need against Wilder is calmness or he lose it with ease.

I have watched wilder fight and I say this confidently that wilder would be humbled by Joshua. Boxing isn't all about swinging ur arms wildly. It is about how well u can adapt to the fighter in front of u. Aj has proven to be a more skilled fighter than wilder but Wilder has leveraged on Joshua's popularity coupled with some trash talking to make himself relevant. One thing is certain if and when they meet Joshua will defeat wilder inevitably. Even an unfit Fury took Wilder through a boxing master class.
I think it gonna be a great fight but to be candid the fight can go either way depends on how they up their boxing skills.

..too much respect from AJ seeing him losing it but with skills and calmness am seeing him winning.

AJ or Wilder as a winner good for boxing world but am seeing Fury coming out from nowhere as champ if AJ or Wilder failed to do the needful.

What are your reasons?

Omeruo is a better leader but Awaziem is a better defender

Awaziem is better in one on one situations
I don't even see Omeruo as a leader and i don't see Awaziem as a better defender than Omeruo in all ramifications.

Omeruo is one of the most criticize eagles defender based on some mistakes but when it comes to real show i mean tournament Omeruo always fit the bill.

As I said Awaziem has a lot going for him, very versatile but remember Omeruo also started as RB,Yobo lost of form paved way for Omeruo.

I don't see Awaziem slug it out with Omeruo,Ekong,Ajayi and Balogun if he sort his club situation out in Centre Back position.

I heard Westerhof invited him but he declined.
No he wasn't invited cos he has lost it as a player, very woeful at Saudi 89.I remember Dimeji Lawal got invitation after pressure from NFA and came from bench to score against Togo but Westerhoff never fancy his style of play.

Westerhoff came in and started from local league with discovery of Dan Amokachie,Tijani Babaginda,Findi George,Moses Npakor,Uche Okechuckwu,Isaac Semitoje,Ajibade Babalade,Abdul Sule etc,so it was extremely difficult for foreign based player who are playing in backwater league to break into national team.

After Aigiers 90,a lot of players paved way for new generation players like Uche Okechuckwu,Dan Amokachie,Finidi George etc cos player like Andew Uwe,Ademola Adeshina,Emma Okocha failed to get invitation again and player like Osondu find it extremely hard to get attention cos of poor club form.

Phillip Osondu and Dimeji (Lawal) Mohammed were two extremely gifted players. Osondu fizzled out earlier than Dimeji who eventually got capped at senior level. That was also the era that produced youth players like Victor Ikpeba, Nduka Ugbade, Etim Esin, Jonathan Akpoborie, Chris Ohenhen, Mutiu Adepoju just to mention a few.

Pele went to take a selfie with Dimeji Lawal after the final of the U17 WC in Canada. Those boys were extremely gifted.
Oh my God Oladimeji Mohammed Lawal was extremely gifted but guess what "age factor" those guys age cheat no be here o.

Osondu died at 48 should tell us something is amiss.I remembered seeing Osondu,Dimeji Lawal, Victor Igbinova,Peter Ogaba,Bawa Abdullahi, Lucky Agbonavbare,Mutiu Adepoju,Nduja Ugbade,Tijani Babaginda at Kwara 85,during this period these guys are men not boys but really surprised seeing some of them still represent Nigeria till Mauritius 93.

Well RIP Osondu

I only saw glimpses of the Canada 87 final in fact that was the first soccer game I remember watching so I didn't get to enjoy Osondu. So sorry Kog45, Icon4s, Gamaliel and other old men please pay some tribute to Osondu and bring to life some of his exploits here.
Kai old men?

Phillip Osondu Mast remained the best youth player to come out of Africa and his record in U17 history was great though he failed woefully as a player we all looked up to

He played for Elkanemi warriors and one of the boys colonel Abdulmumini Aminu the then founder of Elkanemi warriors always eager to watch.Osondu got transfered to Anderlecth after Canada 87 exploits but was loand to RWD where he had first team football opportunity under Coach Hugo Bross but the sacked of Bross really affected Osondu progress as a player.

He was given a special treatment by NFA and was included in Saudi 89 team as a special talent but couldn't meet up.It was obvious that Osondu has lost form, after Saudi 89 he fizzled out and never got any invitation to national team.

RIP Phillip Osondu Mast

Unpopular opinion

Awaziem is a better defender than Omeruo
Yes unpopular opinion

Awaziem is not better than Omeruo even Ekong is not better cos when it comes to tournament Omeruo has been a better defender and this has made Rohr to always include him in his plan despite some knacks.

I always see Awaziem has a great options cos he can be deployed as CB,RB even DM but when it comes to real CB,Omeruo is ahead.

do you think Dominic is better than our current CBs? I greatly disagree when you say we don't have quality CBs.

Let us stop dreaming about Fikayo, there is no scenario where Fikayo pledges allegiance to Nigeria,so, let us try to live in the reality. If you can tell us eligible players in the CB role, better than what we currently have, that would be helpful
My beautiful sister, any good addition to me is acceptable.

Oh just using Fikayo as a case when you said Iorfa can be chilling for now cos we have 4 CBs meaning if Fikayo is available he too can chill.

Rohr List The Two Goalkeepers He Is Scouting Ahead Of Super Eagles Games In March

A new goalkeeper might be in the squad of the senior national team of Nigeria when they regroup for their engagement next year according to coach of the team Gernot Rohr, Owngoalnigeria.com can exclusively reveal.

Rohr is presently without the services of his first choice goalkeeper Francis Uzoho who is out injured after picking up an injury in the 1-1 friendly draw against Brazil in November.

In his absence, Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi was in goal for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers games against Benin Republic and Lesotho respectively which Nigeria won 2-1 and 4-2 to begin their campaign on a sound note.

Rohr who revealed he almost played Fortuna Dusseldorf II goalkeeper Maduka Okoye in one of the games has now confirmed that he watched two goalkeepers before deciding against calling them up for the games.

”Two new goalkeepers were scouted by us and at least one would have made it but we decided against it because of some factors that I can’t tell. However we are still looking at them. One is in Israel playing regularly for a second division team Hapoel Katamon while the other plays for a team in Austria in the second division”, Rohr said.

The goalkeepers in question is the duo of Adebayo Adeleye who has been ever present for promotion chasing Israel second division side Hapoel Katamon. They are presently 3rd on the log after 13 games and he has kept goal in all but one of their games.

Tobias Lawal ‎is the other goalkeeper talked about by Rohr. The 19 year old is on the books of LASK but presently turns out for the B team of the club and he has been ever present in the team this season with 35 appearances to his name. Although born in Austria he wouldn’t be needing any document from FIFA to play for Nigeria as he is yet to play for Austria at any level.

Below are the pics of the two goalies...

Pics 1 & 2: Tobias Okiki Lawal

Pics 3 & 4: Adebayo Adeleye (3 is recent. 4 is when he was my younger in the U-17 camp).
Are they good enough?cos keeping for 2nd division clubs in Isreal and Austria not good enough for SE,reason why i frowned at Maduka invitation.

Do we need to blame Rohr for not scounting from home ground when we have a very poor league

Charles baba, any player can be displaced.Aribo came in and settled down with ease.Semi is doing well now.

I remember when Ekong came in,he was damn poor but we have better Ekong now

Do we really have quality CBs? NO,so any good addition to the team is acceptable. If Fikayo pledges his allegiance are we going to say NO.

...with the way Supernerd and Kokmne analysed Iorfa quality i think he would be a good addition.

it was onigbinde who first deployed yobo as a centre back against england and he performed amazingly well

he gave a young femi opubami fresh from the u17 world a chance to the super eagles, femi was very promising then but was unfortunate to have a career that ended prematurely due to ill heath

he was the first who introduced osaze odewingie to the super eagles then as a rookie, he trained with the 2002 world cup but didnt make the final list

he was the one who brought an unknown john utaka to the super eagles who went on to have a good career in europe and the super eagles
Oh Onigbinde real discovery was Vincent Enyeama.

sentiment aside tammy is a good striker but i prefer osimehn because he is more rugged and physical. osimehn is a warrior who is ready to put his body on the line for his team and pose more threat to defenders than tammy because of his robust style of play.

osimehn reminds me so much of a young didier drogba and diego costa
Respect to the two guys for proving their coaches right and am happy for them though Tammy is a English player with deep Naija root.

Osimehn remain the golden boy of Nigeria football and am seeing him beating Yekini's record.
