Torunarigha don loss Joebie i don't think these guys are ready for us Rohr threw wide card for these guys to represent Nigeria at WC but still they remain adamant. If we are insisting then why blaming Tammy. Good age is still on Ekong and Awaziem sides and hope to see Balogun and Omeruo spending some years more. I think we are going to discover the likes of Awaziem after WC. |

AIG07: I won't lie to you, I don't like remembering the 2014 World Cup. Despite us equalling our best performances at the soccer fiesta. I reiterates that it was LUCK that saw us through to the second round and landed us the 2013 AFCON. -Nothing More. Yes luck does it sometimes but beating CIV 2-1,Mali 4-1 and Burkina Faso 1-0 wasn't luck but performance. If you check 2013 afcon team, especially in the group stage,Keshi didn't get it right with his selection and the team struggled to reach quarter final and this was due to Nosa Igiebor and Fengor Ogude below performance. The moment they are replaced with Sunday Mba and Ogenyi Onazi, the team came into shape and from quarter final to final,Nigeria became a team to beat. I think what happened at WC was success of afcon getting into Keshi's head and this really affected the team cos i expected bulk of afcon team making WC squad,Ideye, Uche,Mba,Ogude and Igiebor were dropped. Truly i saw luck against Bosnia cos Dzeko disallowed goal paved way for us and it happened in football and one of those thing, referee decision sometimes does the magic. |

Sir am not defending Keshi but talking football and i don't see you hating Keshi,so we are here to discuss. Sir when it comes to Nigeria football especially the politics of the game, sorry i know a lot especially on players invitation and it did not exclude Rohr present eagles. OK let me ask you,is Ezenwa the best in NPFL?hope you know Ezenwa is second choice at Enyimba at the moment, but on record Ezenwa is seen as the best in NPFL. Do we blame Rohr for that?No cos that was the recommendation from Alloy Agu who was on ground |

Humility017: he has a good record because he was a good tactician...but he surely mixed his gift and football skills with greed.... that ruinned his career.... he came to a point he began to feel he can create a messi out of every player.... he tried sold several players to us few were successful... much of his fiasco came up during the world cup in Brazil.... how Gabriel rubben and agbim made that list still a mystery Ruinned his career?pls which career are you talking about. Sir did you really know the politicking Keshi faced as Nigeria coach.Oliseh couldn't face it and ran away despite being one of Keshi critics. Oh Agbim honestly i was damn surprised seeing Agbim in goal at CHAN but was told he was the best in NPFL just like we are having Ezenwa now as the best in NPFL. Dele Aiyenugba should have been number three then but had poor outing against Guinea prior to appointment of Keshi so automatically Agbim took his slot as the best in NPFL. |

Sir,my comment was on Keshi preffered players to call him but i remember he personally called Leon Balogun and whether his fraudulent or not,let history judge him. On Osaze, hope you remember Osaze running battle with Siasia at Olympics and his statement after Olympics or you forget how he almost disrupt camp spirit at 2010 WC when Lagerback preferred Obasi ahead of him and his statement after WC,dealings with such outspoken player is difficult and Keshi had the same issue with Ike Uche at afcon 2013. This is one area i gave kudos to Rohr cos is wary of any player that would disrupt the harmony in camp.I will not deceive you not calling Enyeama back was based on it,not easy to deal with outspoken players. |

forgiveness: Rohr And Agents Are At Loggerheads Over Nigeria's Provisional World Cup Roster
Published: May 12, 2018
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has revealed that some agents have attempted to influence his choice of players for the national team ahead of Monday's deadline of naming a 35-man provisional squad for the World Cup.
The former Bayern Munich defender admitted that there has been renewed pressure from these agents as the stock of their clients would rise if they are included on the roster.
Rohr has made it clear he has no intention of dropping the players that qualified Nigeria for the tournament in Russia and it is thought that the provisional roster will contain ninety percent of the players summoned for the pre-World Cup friendlies against Poland and Serbia.
''Some agents are calling me or sending me messages about their players, they want me to take them but it is not pressure,'' Rohr said to Channels Television.
''They try to do some things but they see that I don't accept their proposal. I have a look, sometimes, they try to work for the players which is normal.
''I have never been under pressure, I never got money proposal to take one player because they know my reputation, 45 years in professional football I never did it.''
Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Daniel Akpeyi, Francis Uzoho, Shehu Abdullahi, William Troost-Ekong, Leon Balogun, Brian Idowu, Obi Mikel, Eddy Onazi, Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Ahmed Musa, Victor Moses, Odion Ighalo, Alex Iwobi and Kelechi Iheanacho are assured of spots in Nigeria's 23-man World Cup squad.
The remaining seven spots will be given to utility players such as Ola Aina and Kenneth Omeruo.
Ifeanyi Emmanuel
http://www.allnigeriasoccer.com/read_news.php?nid=27705 Good after South Africa match Rohr discovered that agents are devils. If Rohr is not ready to give any new player chance then he should named his 23 man list and start camping fully. |

Someone that won African player of the year in 1993 and you expect him not to be called for the 94 World Cup?
Stop comparing that year and now ,and the last time I checked pele never played in Europe to be called one of the greatest,we all know such can't happen now Andrew you are right very incomparable,Yekini and Etebo. |

a coach blessed good game tactics but biased and corrupt team selection ruinned his success with the super eagles.... starting from his fight with adebayo...he sold himself into corruption. Why Keshi? Pls can you substantiate your claim with fact. I emember the same Keshi put a phone call to Leon Balogun and convinced him to play for Nigeria. Also Ekong Troost and capped him against Chad. What of Bright Dike and Shola Ameobi. Did you know that the same Keshi first contacted Carl Ikeme before he lost his eagles job. The fact still remain Keshi has a record to beat by any coach no matter the negativism. |

edi287: True it'll be his tactics but he also needs the right profile of players. I'm still not sold on playing 2 destroyers who offer little attacking wise. If we say play Ogu instead of Onazi, the question is is he mobile enough?? Is his ball handling good enough to overlook his lack of mobility? Etebo got dropped after the game at SA...a game where the team as a whole played poorly. Yes he isn't "superlative" but he is in form and has had good games for us before. Ndidi also started off not being superlative for us till he eventually blew. Etebo stamina plus attacking threat will be useful for us in a game like this. I wouldn't mind either J Obi, Ogu, etc. I just don't want us playing with 2 destroyers. I understand you wella but i don't think Rohr will start Etebo and i don't even see him starting, with Mikel and Ndidi we are ready to go against Croatia. |

edi287: Etebo will be able to over us something attacking and a lil bit defensively. His late runs will be another headache for the Croatia to worry about. We are missing something here regards Etebo. Pls is Etebo a regular in eagles, and how was his performance so far with eagles. Why did he lost his place in eagles if he is so superlative and important to the team. Another question can Rohr trust Etebo as a starter and benched Onazi,Joel and Ogu. I think beating Croatia solely rest on Rohr tactical prowess, nothing more. |

charlesemeka85: i dont disrespect the dead but it hurts me when people paint keshi as the messiah of our football but was sacked unjustly. why is it that every keshi fan out there does nothing but pray for rohr to fail? for christ sake you and i never gave this team a chance when the world cup qualifiers was drawn, we found our beloved team against 3 afcon winners, an Algerian team that was ranked number 1 in Africa as of then, a Cameroonian team that just got crowned afcon champions few months before the draw and a never say die Zambian team who we never find it easy against. i started having believe on this when rohr and his boys got 3 points away to Zambia. the German was able assemble a team in no distant time and displayed an attacking style of football that made them scary before opposing teams. after the defeat to south africa the team came back stronger and walloped Cameroon in uyo by 4 goals to nil! went to cameroon on the return leg and almost got away with 3 points if not for ezenwa's recklessness. watching the team you will see a unit that understands each other coupled with harmony, love and respect for one another.it gladdens my heart to know that the nff have act fast by giving rohr a new contract just because he is on the right track notwithstanding the outcome olf the teams outing in Russia Oh Keshi messiah?well apart from coaching,Keshi remain the best to happened to Nigeria football. But if you have followed the game long enough you will know things can turn around if both teams square up again. Just as you rightly pointed out that our Victory against Argentina may just be a source of our downfall.
My own is no matter what happens in Russia we should keep this team and continue the building process. Yes you are right and Joebie too,the team should be kept intact and good enough we still have a lot of greenhorns ready for eagles after WC,so the future is bright. |

Icon4s: Try and understand what Kog45 is saying. If we have a woeful outting that can lead to a total disbanment and over-haul of the whole process. And we begin all over again hoping for another miracle in Qatar.
If this team at least gives a descent performance it will set the stage for continuity of the progress being made and this may lead to better performances in the future.
As for me, I am really pleased with the current progress of the team and would want to see it sustained. Even though I don't belong to those that have set so high a target for the team, I expect a descent outing at least. Thank you icon4s, just decent performance even if we don't make it out of the group i don't care though as a fan I want quarter final. Remember Cameroon Espana didn't lose a single match but failed to qualify from the group stage but check Cameroon team from 1982 to 1994,it was a good foundation from 1982. |
