Joebie: The real question is how is Lawal's current form. I can bring you videos of Nosa Igiebor while he was in the LaLiga. He was MOTM versus Barcelona, but let's see more recent videos. How recent are those videos of Lawal? Well let me investigate. My man am not here to make case for Lawal or against Nwakili invitation but to tell thegoodjoe that if Rohr really wants Lawal he doesn't need to drop any player cos when he called Nwakili no player was dropped, that's my point. |

kennysville: I second that whole heartedly. He gets into shooting positions a lot but rather than shoot, he passes. I dont know whether its Wenger's instruction or what. Playing both Iwobi and Oezil yesterday clearly shows that if given a chance to express , Iwobi will permanently retire Oezil( that's sentiments apart). I still maintain that Oezil is the weak link. But we know wenger na. E no get Balls!! Nobody is restraining Iwobi from expressing himself, Wenger already told him that he needs to scores goals to be in XI. He just need to improve on that aspect, not that he is panicking, that's Iwobi game right from time,so he just need to learn fast on shooting and other things. On Ozil, well good for him to bench Ozil but he need to work on a lot of things like you already stated, until he improve on some of his weaknesses,Ozil w still be ahead of him. |

tbaba1234: Obasi has lost some pace but he is still a decent player. He has 6 goals from 10 games this season in the Swedish league. I do not think he has any chance of going to the world cup. He plays more as a center forward these days and that position is booked. Do you think CF is booked coz initially we thought DM is booked until Nwakili invitation, so you cannot say though not easy for Obasi to break into the team but giving him chance he w displace Simeon and Ahmed Musa with ease but i don't think Obasi w be useful at WC cos injury can set in anytime, base on this i still prefer Simeon in the team. |

ChrisKels: DEPORTIVO LA CORUNA COACH – WHY EAGLES NEWBIE UZOHO WAS DEMOTED TO B TEAM
Coach of Spanish La-Liga side Deportivo La Coruna has explained the reason why newly invited Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Odinaka Uzoho was demoted to the B team of the La- Liga outfit. Uzoho kept goal in back to back La-Liga game under sacked coach Pepe Mel but since the appointment of Cristobal Parralo in caretaker capacity Uzoho has failed to make the matchday squad. Parralo has settled for the experienced duo of Przemyslaw Tyton and Costel Pantilimon, while the Nigerian has been demoted back to the B team who are campaigning in the third division in Spain.
” The team is in a difficult situation right now, and the coach feels it’s not the RIGHT TIME TO THROW IN AN 18 YEAR old AT THE DEEP END”, Spanish journalist Jonas told Owngoalnigeria.com.
” He was asked about the demotion of Uzoho, I think in one of his pre match conference shortly after Uzoho was called up to the senior national team of Nigeria and his explanation was same like I said EARLIER.
” AT 18 HE HAS DONE WELL TO PROGRESS TO THE FIRST TEAM AFTER JUST SIX MONTHS MONTHS AT THE CLUB , NICE FOOTWORK AND GOOD REFLEXES BUT LANGUAGE IS A BIG BARRIER FOR HIM , because his Spanish isn’t UP THERE YET, and as you know COMMUNICATION IS KEY BETWEEN GOALKEEPER and DEFENDERS". Leicester has not done too well but based on stats. Ndidi is the top tackler in the league. That is what DMs do. OK my arguement is this how can a best tackler and most dribbled DM that almost make the worst XI of the season is the best DM in EPL. Am not trying to slack the guy but based on a comment by a moniker that he is the best and goldfish80 post made me to conclude that he is not the best DM in EPL presently. Agreed the best tackler but if you have any info that made him the best DM,honestly i w keep quiet and learn from it. |

What Ndidi has going for him is his high tackle success rate. Even at Genk, he had one of the highest tackle success rate in the Europa league. How s generally developing an odd reputation as a tackling machine. Thanks for this analysis. |

Kanu blasts cash wins games in NNL, alleges govt clubs bully private clubs
By admin - November 5, 2017
Nwankwo Kanu has raised serious concerns over the officiating in the second-tier Nigeria National League (NNL), alleging that clubs owned by government have the cash to get more favourable refereeing than a team like Papilo FC, who he bankrolls .
He told SCORENigeria that privately owned clubs like his are being muscled out by the financially heavyweight government clubs, saying that development is not good for the league and football generally in Nigeria. “It has been a very difficult journey in terms of results as regards officiating,” former Nigeria captain Kanu said.
“What I see in this league is that if you have enough money, then you can win games.
“And if it so, there is no need for us trying to invest and bringing up a team.
“This is because if you bring up a good team, here I’m talking about going to the grassroot to help the young ones to come up and perform.
“And if these young ones are not being encouraged by officiating, then it means we are going back to square one.
“Because for me, it is always good to play on an open environment where officiating will not favour or negatively affect any club.
“And this is not good for football and the league. That is the greatest problem that we do have”.
Kanu also informed SCORENigeria that his former club Arsenal are not involved in the running of his pet team, Papilo FC.
The former Gunner and ex Super Eagles captain said contrary speculations, he has no assistance from the North London club.
“Papilo FC are not into any deal with Arsenal,” he told SCORENigeria
“We don’t wear Arsenal jersey. When you talk of Arsenal, you talk of Kanu because I played for Arsenal and I’m also an Arsenal Legend.
“I’ve also been following Arsenal.
“But in terms of we having anything to do with Arsenal in terms of sponsorship or kitting endorsement, no, there is nothing like that.
“If we do, I won’t be here complaining. Perhaps, that could be on the way in future, you never can tell, but for now, they are not involved even in our academy or the football club.
“I’m the one running the club and the academy”.
By Sab Osuji Kanu should go to archive and read what killed great club like Leventis United,Iwuanyawu Nationale, BCC lion,Ranchers bees,Aflyufassam Rocks,Femo scorpion better for him to channel his money into academy and grassroots development. Despite big cash with MKO Abiola,Emmanuel Iwuanyawu and good management from John Mastroudus, the trio were frustrated by government clubs. |

soetanoreoluwa: It Is not really easy like that... Remember he is a new coach.. Winning the heart of the owner and the fans matter most and also he will like to have a spirit fillled dressing room... If he can't control dressing room that's all.. Uzoho Wil be back to the bench I believe... Let just watch out.. And he should keep working hard If he want to win the heart of the management and fans then he should go for the best cos tbaba1234 said fans are clamouring for Uzoho. Mujtahida: I'd like to see him play just so we confirm if he is one for the long ride because our game crumbles when either Mikel or Onazi is out. That's not good enough. Rohr is testing for options in every area where we have deficiencies and and soft spots. Till now he's still having troubles with the gk department and I read that he's determined to take Enyeama to the World Cup if he's fit and in form even if some officials in the NFF look like they don't want Enyeama. Then again our defence: he's still fine tuning it in terms of personel and that's why Ebuehi, Aina and now Idowu (on standby) have been brought in with Awaziem and Agbo Then the midfield. He's not satisfied yet. Obviously he believes in Mikel Agu but he's still not going to be sentimental about it, he's pushing to see who would be that perfect fit. Don't be surprised if another player most likely a CF who has never been invited before is invited to see if he can be the attacking conduit for the team or a good substitute.
I think Rohr already has his team but he's not going to let it rest. The process of fine tuning, tinkering and adjustments have begun. Yea you are right |

Mujtahida: Did you not read here where some peeps in trying to justify his invitation said he plays LB for his club? That's what forgiveness is referencing. I don't know why we are disturbing ourselves on Nwakili invitation. Rohr must have seen something and if he didn't measure up to the standard he is gone,it's simple. Did anybody know that Nwakili w make the list, nobody on this thread talk about Nwakili exploit in Norwegian league talk less of invitation. Let's wait for Algeria or Argentina match to rate the guy, hope he w grabbed the opportunity just like Ekong and Abdullahi in national team cos Eagles made Ekong and Abdullahi better player not their club sides. |

also a committee/scouting network....to help list and call up those youngsters who have openly declared for us....also approach them as a means of formation recognition...
players like deji and co.... I think we should start going after players only who had declared to play for us...even if we think they're not good enough... an average player is better and profitingto the super eagles... than a quality player who choosed not to play for us......

He wasn't convincing at first but he's grown into the position. Are you satisfied with his performance?
