OK but u know what we just need to commit those willing to play coz they may come good 2moro,see Uzoho a third keeper in his set now first choice at Deportivo.

Mickael2:
Point of correction.

You see everybody misunderstands the point. I am not saying call back Martins, Osaze etc etc and plug them straight into the starting eleven and do away with the other players, no. Iheanacho, Ighalo, Moses Simon etc etc have been playing since, how and why can we not sacrifice a single game for the likes of Martins, Osaze etc etc to show what they can still offer? If they come and play well, fine, if they don't we have nothing to lose, it's a win-win situation. We are going to the world cup, not Afcon where we might have just a short window to prepare. Here we will have more than a month to prepare so saying that thesame set of players must be invited all the time just to build team unity/spirit going to the world cup does not make sense.

To Taiwo, yes I have and will continue to ask for his inclusion. Is Echejile better than Taiwo? I mean Taiwo plays week in week out in Finland, Finland is better than Cyprus where ironically our RB comes from. Now you may come at him for his age but he is thesame age as Mikel, and slightly older than Ighalo, same age as Balogun as well and if you watch his games for Kemi, you will see that he still has the energy of a bonafide 32year old, I mean he is the highest scoring defender in the Finnish league, if that is not a true test of his ability I wonder what is. You may also say it will affect the team unity/spirit but I can tell you that it is false. If you go for a coaching course, one of the first thing you learn is that there are 3spots in a team that can be changed at will, the two fullbacks and the number 9. In 2002, we were told that the two wingers too can be changed at will without affecting team unity. So when I start shouting a players name I must have checked these things. You don't see me shouting Ajagun, Joel Obi even and/or Aluko, but I clamour for Martins, Uche(no 9s), Osaze and Taye, before I say anything I check it well.

Now your next point may be that Aina can do a job at LB but brother, let's be sincere, Shehu should not be a starting fullback. Shehu is solid defensively, going forward he isn't and his solid defensive display is because he is yet to meet a very good winger, I am not saying he will be burnt but it could happen. Aina, for me, does a better job at RB all the days of the week. Do we then force Shehu into the LB role? Shehu is a squad player, it ends there, this is not an insult on him. So what happens to Uwa? How many LBs do we have?
In summary your problem with this team is fullbacks and CF.

Due to this u are recommending Taiye Taiwo,Obafemi Martins,Osaze Odenwegie,Ike Uche.

But why d old legs and not young ones like Stanley Amuzie, Ransome Madu as LB,Kayode Olarewaju, Peter Onwuachi as CF(9)

the point isn't captaincy etc etc. Mikel is the captain(I sha think Enyeama will take it back) and Onazi isn't the assistant, but that does not make them their senior. I mean when you are in a hospital and you are with a senior nurse you must show your respect, that does not mean you aren't incharge again.
Yea I get your point,a true leader must show respect to his colleagues even d junior ones

Enyeama did well than Rufai.

Enyeama all the way.

Mickael2:
Point of correction, if Martins comes back, why should he look at Onazi as his senior?! Haba Martins made his debut almost 13years ago, Onazi just started recently. You can say he will have to accept that Onazi is the vice captain but it ends there, Onazi should look upon Martins as the elder not the other way round, same goes for Mikel.

y
Seniority should not be an issue

I don't see big deal in it,a mature player doesn't care about captainships but what he want to contribute to d team.

I remember in d 80s during our qualifying matches to Afcon,WC,Paul Halmiton made Andrew Uwe d captain of d team in d absence of Stephen Keshi, when Keshi returned to d team,Uwe still maintained his captain band with no issue.

The same thing happened during Onigbinde era in 1984,young Keshi was made d captain at d expense of very experience Muda Lawal and Henry Nwosu,d team played very well reaching afcon final.

Sunday Olishe was named Eagles skipper ahead of Finidi George and d team did not scattered,d bond was even stronger.

Kanu captain Atlanta 96 despite d presence of Uche Okechuckwu,Sunday Olishe,Dan,Amokachie, Taribo West,Tijani Babangida,Emma Amuneke, Victor Ikpeba and d team was spectacular,no distraction in d team.

It's simple any old player who is not comfortable with Mikel leadership is not ready to be part of d team coz it shouldn't be an issue.

When Sneider wanted to join ManUtd from Inter, that deal didn't materialise because of his wages and how much would be going into tax.

The pay packages in England is better than other countries. Granted!

You can't compare the tax policies in England to other countries.

Last time I checked was last year when Martins was getting £115, not close to Mikel's £160 in China. I think it's 40% in England. Not really sure.

What is my business with players invitation or did u ever see me recommending any player here,so why making a claim that is untrue.

I believe have already made my WC cup team on this thread with 15 players from this present team and guys contributed immensely.

Even players like Awoniyi, Aiyenugba that i have very strong relationship with, have not come here to call for their invitation, with my little closeness with Martin i think i should be in forefront calling for his invitation.

Am one of d apostles who believe in a very moderate team camping even go against 100 players camping on this thread as my good friend thegoodjoe suggested.

On d issue of Martins, have made my point cleared and people who really understand knows that am against Martins recalling but am not Rohr,if Rohr want him fine,he is eligible as a Nigerian and has every right to continue aspiring to play for Nigeria, not yet retire like Enyeama and Emenike.

This is a forum where everyone have different views or opinions and it must be respected with courtesy not making claims that are not substantial.

Though a faceless forum but our integrity is at stake coz some already believing some are paid to promote players here,so tagging me a player agent is uncalled for.

I never said Obafemi's money or connections are good enough reasons for his inclusion in the SE, and I pick offence in you saying that.

If you've followed most of my posts, I wasn't in support of the idea of having Obagoal but was ready to support Rorh if he calls him up. Femi isn't a terrible player.

Mikel spent most of his time in Chelsea, I doubt he earned up to 100k weekly then.

Don't forget how harsh the tax system is in England, bulk of his pay would be going into tax. There might have been a decline since he obtained his British citizenship though.

Martins has been in the game even before Mikel, most of the countries he's played in, taxing is not as tough as England and that means more income, Mikel isn't earning much more than him presently in China.

Martins lives a more ostentatious lifestyle, so I might be deceived by what I'm seeing.

When it comes to endorsement, I don't really know.
Honestly i don't want to say much on this coz am not FORBES but i want to tell u starting football early does not determine richness.

Martins earned peanuts at Inter but started earning his mega buck when he move to England which is not upto 40k even in MLS,Spain,Germany,Russian,he didn't earn close to 70k.

On tax I want to tell u there is no European countries u go to u pay heavily for tax or d u want to talk of Spain tax even Germany.

If I may ask u,if UK tax is unfriendly do u think players w be going there for mega pay, though a lot might castigate d league but when it comes to pay pls forget it,EPL is number 1.

Mind u Mikel spent close to 11 years at Chelsea with his last contract earning close to 85k.

Do u know what pushed Martins out MLS,it was MLS salary cap.

In China Martins is on weekly £100k while Mikel £150k even Ighalo £190k

Thanks,u have said it,u are looking at his flamboyant life

It's like saying Emma Adebayour is richer than Drogba coz he always display his wealth for everyone to see.

I don't know know how true it is that Mikel left Chelsea with £2m package for his longevity.

Well, both Mikel and Martins are rich and as i said am not Forbes to tell u d richest.

If Kayode were in the EPL were would he be top performerhuh If he was in the championship would he be able to be a top performerhuh If he was in the Chinese league assuming any club would consider him good enough. Would he be a top player in that league huh I have my doubts.

You used the term old legs, what makes him old age or performancehuh How old is Kayode compared to Obagoal in any case, not that it matters, it's irrelevant.

According to the Bleacher report the Chinese league is ranked no. 7 in the world. I don't really consider these assessments as being substantive. But it's indicative how much better it is than the Belgium and way higher than the Danish and Turkish leagues. See link below.

Nobody even remembers that your Martins played for the Super Eagles, that is how irrelevant he is to this set of players.

And the Mikel you know would not have bailed out the team in Brazil, he wouldn't have even been there, the Mikel you know would have bailed on the team with Enyeama and Emenike after that Musa debacle, that is the Mikel YOU know.....

However, the Mikel I know, the one who has learnt from age and experience and will certainly have more stories to tell these boys on how much one's behavior can shape their career is the ODOGWU, the leader cherished by team mates and fans. That is the Mikel that has influenced people and has transformed himself from a player we all seemed to loath to one we can't do without.

There are very few players who have the stories Mikel has and Martins is not one of them

If Rohr believe Martins can do it,no issue, everything stop on Rohr table,it is left for him to decide, so i don't see why we keep on argue to d extent we are bringing richest, connection, powerful to d table coz we want Martins in d team.

If Rohr can invite Aaron Samuel meaning he can invite Martins and nothing we are going to do about it.

But d question is this can Martins replicate his old form in Eagles, forget all these stats. If he can prove himself better than Ighalo,Iheanacho,no wahala.
