PoliticsRe: Amanpour Interviews Nigerians In Lagos About Power Outage by KokoBeware: 12:56am On Feb 06, 2013
Eko Ile: The fact that she featured just 3 people doesn't mean she didn't interview more than 3 people. it's all about what she can fit into her show because of time limitations.
My point exactly... and you as a reporter or put your self in her shoes.. which stories will you put to support the Superbowl thing.....
PoliticsRe: Amanpour Interviews Nigerians In Lagos About Power Outage by KokoBeware: 9:30pm On Feb 05, 2013
occam: I cringed when I watched that interview. He appeared very unsure and pitiful. He seems not to understand the problem and rambled incoherently. Why didn't he mention the privatization process?

He dared Amanpou to ask Nigerians and she did. Most Nigerians aren't seeing the improvement in power and that’s the truth. A few, perhaps

C’mon over 5 years (as VP, Acting President & President) this guy still can’t articulate the issues about power sector in Nigeria.
DO you really think those where the only people Amanpours crew Interviewed on the streets??... i could stake a lot that they screened out those that said power has improved and is improving.... she needed to package her story and that she did.....
PoliticsRe: Amanpour Interviews Nigerians In Lagos About Power Outage by KokoBeware: 10:28am On Feb 05, 2013
v love: i think dis should not be the issue, we agree that power has improved but why cant we have uninterrupted power supply after so much billions has been spent and presently on going.

Nigeria is one of the richest countries where the cbn governor can be paid 25,000 a day for just an allowance of whatever he calls it saying that the president approved his allowances and income, where the entire nigerian airspace is filled with private jets jettying off and fro different destinations, where a man that stole the sum of 23billion naira can be given a fine of 750,000.00 or a jail option of 2year in jail while cant we can uninterrupted power supply.
Because it doesn't take 2years to generate and transmit enough power for 160million people........ power has improved no doubt and it's improving... GEJ never claimed we had 24hour power supply... He said it has improved and still went ahead to say there is still more to be done... Most people did not watch or read the transcript of the interview.... Just jumped along with the bandwagon claiming he said what not.....
PoliticsRe: Amanpour Interviews Nigerians In Lagos About Power Outage by KokoBeware: 11:53pm On Feb 04, 2013
take dat: The truth is a lot of Nigerians are yet to see the improvement in power supply especially those in the rural areas. Because power supply has greatly improved where you reside doesn't mean it has elsewhere and you weren't expecting those interviewed to say yes when its a no for them.

The president erred when he made a categorical statement that power has improved and everyone would testify to that, he could have simply stated how much megawatts the government has added and that the reforms will yield the desired result. The handlers of GEJ are his biggest enemies.

Bros, you will grow grey hair while expecting Amanpour to get sacked for what you call bad journalism.
But she left out this part which I think justified his statement

JONATHAN: We are not quite where we should be, and of course you know the power infrastructure is
one investment that you must complete the (inaudible) before the ball collides. You must generate, you
must transmit, you must (inaudible), and even if you have the money and the political will to do so, you
cannot do it overnight. And we are working very hard and I promise you that, before the end of this
year how I will be reasonably stable in Nigeria. This is something that has been a problem for years, for
years. So, you cannot correct it overnight. It takes time, even if you have the money.
PoliticsRe: Amanpour Interviews Nigerians In Lagos About Power Outage by KokoBeware: 11:33pm On Feb 04, 2013
Eko Ile: I don't know why the useless I.diot lied to the world when the same world is not oblivious about the pathetic power situation in Nigeria.

Many around the world think we are crooked, corrupt and liars, but this dullard picked the most popular media platform in the world to confirm...

Smh...
What exactly did he say?? And what part was a lie.... Pray tell....

PoliticsRe: Jonathan Calls For Stay Of Execution Of Nigerians In Indonesia by KokoBeware: 12:30am On Feb 03, 2013
When has any GEJ's pronouncement solved anything? Do you think Indonesians are as stupid as GEJ appears to be? A serious government would highlight how she intends to address the issue head on by agreeing for those prisoners to be transferred to Nigeria to serve their prison terms and set forth an outline of when this will be achieved.

I am sorry, I can't buy into anything GEJ says because He speaks for the moment!
If he didnt do or say anything you for still talk... soo No worriess...

Nairaland GeneralRe: Today's Date Is A Palindrome - 31 / 1 / 13 by KokoBeware: 4:36pm On Jan 31, 2013
linearity: @OP, you did not quite lay the case why 01/31/2013 written in MMDDYYYY format is a Palindrome.....

A Palindrome is a word, phrase or sentence, when reversed or spelled backward without regard to punuctition, comma or word unit results in the same word, phrase or sentence...eg

Civic, Radar, Level, Rotor, Kayak, etc...or 'Dammit, I'm mad'

There is no way to read 01/31/2013 backward and arrive at the same date without excluding some numbers...let see

01312013 backward is 31021310, you can see where you are wrong.

The only way January 31, 2013 can be written to be a Palindrome is if written in DDMYY or DD/M/YY format.

PoliticsRe: Bauchi To Spend N7.9billion On Airport by KokoBeware: 2:49pm On Jan 27, 2013
Eko Ile: Not everything is misplaced priority, in fact this is a very smart priority for so many reasons.

1. Creates jobs from construction to final operations

2, Boost the local economy by circulating a good chunk of that money in and around the local economy.

3. Deliver an up to date and modern infrastructure to serve the region

4. Divert traffic and commerce from the old and outdated airports in the surrounding states.

5. Creation of support economies and jobs like flight catering, ticketing agencies, cab service and so on.

Why fly into old airports with outdated facilities when a new airport with modern airport facilities and landing systems is available just a few miles away?

If marketed properly, this is the new regional airport with more than enough strength to take away business and commercial activities away from the
other airports ion the area.

It's a shrewd move and it makes no sense to pull back on development and potential economic gains just because of other entities and considerations.
Guy am sure your just arguing for the sake of it.... An international airport is the very least of thier worries.. how many local operators will fly into bauchi and at what frequency?? not to talk of international carriershuh
who ever adviced the governor should be shot..

pekelepekele: The question is why buy the 13 year old an Iphone ? and then place those laws on his head. My own kids will never have a phone until they are 16 and not a phone enabled with browsing that will be until they turned 18 but they will surely have a desktop PC not a laptop so that they won't go about with it and the desktop will have a 100% working keylogger installed on it to monitor all they are doing on the internet .

If i want to contact them at school , I will be calling the school principal.
Hahahaha dude kids are way way smarter this days than u will ever know... Dnt kid yourself.... His friends will have those phones he will use them to browse and ignore you desktops....
Well you can send them to covenant university...
PoliticsRe: Jonathan: Our Greatest Challenge Is Our Attitutude Not Corruption. by KokoBeware: 7:26pm On Dec 30, 2012
I don't think Disintegration will totally solve our problems. Nigeria's main problem may be tribalism and religion but we have other countries that have more than one tribe and religion but their's isn't as pathetic as Nigeria's. Our major problem is poverty which has led to serious corruption. Even if we disintegrate, corruption which is now part of our orientation and culture will still hold us back. Jonathan has said it all. Attitude is our major challenge.
True!!! Even after we disintegrate Hausa will still fight Fulani .... Delta igbos will still fight IMO igbos ..... Ogonis will still fight Okrika's .....the list is unending..
