And why should I not be proud? my parents tried to change it, some elderly taxi driver cursed the living daylight outta me cos I paid him with my left hand yrs ago, my son is already showing the traits (even though the wifey doesnt particularly like it) and four out of the six past U.S presidents were lefties.  I am truly a part of the winning crew.

Easy for y'all to say. I have an auntie who had 4 kids and two of them were SS - and they both died after turning 9yrs?? _{so 1 in 4 is NOT always the case cos I know.}

Even the parents said it out loud that they regret putting themselves and those kids (including the ones still alive) through such pain and misery.

Abeg, take life easy o. You sound really uptight. You had better start to see humour in some things in life so you don't die of depression, hypertension and self-torture.

If you take a look at the entire thread, I'm sure you'll notice the advice and encouragement given all through . . and not only the funny part of it.

Yea, rules are made in Nigeria, but have you thought of the poverty level, and how many people can truly afford these things, how many officers are goin to make money from it . . and how people are going to improvise to beat the rules . . just like the govt officials themselves do all the time?

You propably do not live in Nigeria, but if I must tell you, Nigeria is a unique country - things that work elsewhere do not work in Nigeria because of our crude system, culture and corruption.  For instance, the Lagos state govt is doing a damn good thing by clearing oshodi market, but on the flip side of it, think of how many people have been rendered shopless, homeless and jobless - in a country that does not care about its citizens, what do you think those people will resort to in order to survive? stealing of course. 

When yo think of it, how many okada drivers or passengers can TRULY afford 9000 naira for a single helmet? Also consider the fact that enforcement officers will always take bribes and these helmets will be stolen. Plus the govt will SURELY NOT offer any form of assistance. So yea, people will look for ways around it. Life means next to nothing to a man who is really trying to survive.


So again, if you don't want to keep depressing yourself, see the houmour in life while offering good advice.

Looking at one of the pictures above, some mobile policemen have started selling / losing their helmets.

This is serious I cant even laugh.

Taking a hard look at the pictures, will these 'helmets' really save lives in the event of an accident? I think not - cos those things looks like theyre made from nylon. Also chek out the hard looks on peoples' faces.

A business idea / suggestion: Since it might not be adviceable to put on the helmet provided by the driver (and not very convinient to go about with your own helmet),  start using or selling protective shields (maybe nylon) to cover the head before using the driver's helmet.

I'm sure this sight is becoming common nowadays . . so the passenger is only fearing for his life and praying seriously. Unfortunately we have no choice but to enter okada to avoid some traffic jams.

But wait o, is it safe to use the helmet the driver provides (bearing in mind is it for EVERYONE (oloriburukus, olorinla, gorimapa, dada) . . or we should be leaving the house with our own personal helmet

A lot of people (not all of course) pray to God endlessly for the fruit of the womb. But it is His words that say "In all you do, apply Wisdom" and Faith without works is . . . ?"

  In the name of religion, people looking for children spend endless hours fasting and praying, sleeping in church, quarelling, thereby missing the ovulation period in the process. And they wonder why they can't get pregnant.

Please let us do the right things at the right time and God will surely crown our efforts with abundant joy. Amen.

Dont mind most of them in here. Nigerians are typically fake when it come to such things - some of them actually do worse but they wont come out to say they do. And I think it's part of that culture or mentality we were brought up in.

I was born with six fingers on both hands - and I also write and do everything else with my left hand. Growing up, some peeps thot I was weird, even my parents too because they tried everything possible to change my use of the left hand - thank God i had a white teacher back then who adviced that it could affect my brain.

I never really made a big deal of it until lke 12 years ago when I gave an elderly cab driver the fare with my left hand. Oluwa o!! he cursed the day I was born. I apologized endlessly but the man no gree o. I sha left him there to keep running his mouth but since then, I never gave anything to anyone with my left hand, even here in yankee.

Guess what, my son is left handed too!! but no 6th finger sha , thankfully.

I guess we are mutants then. someone please tell me how to get the X-MEN's Xavier's school for mutants.

We are still human beings, by the way. only special.

I do have a stump on each hand but have no clue about any 'reptillian trait'.
