the broadcast was a bore. delivery was zero. did he need to do a broadcast to anounce what he did.... no. in fact the real goof was that while the floods raged he went to the un to deliver a speech to empty chairs and what was the content of the speech he delivered nigerian issues and how he said they were being tackled. he need not go and bore the un with that speech....the obvious things like companies being given penalties abroad for bribes given to nigerians while the recievers in nigeria are walking free. no prosecution....nada and you are going to read a speech...does he think they take him seriously...NO

nigerians in diaspora tend to be bitter cos a lot of the possibilities they see out there are not rocket science and cant just get it why we cant organise ourselves well enough to get it right here. quite a few times i do agree. do you not feel the frustration of a nation without values....a nation where the law is broken and it seems eveything is normal....ill let you in on a joke....the police sent the report on their investigations on farookgate to the atourney general's office for legal advise....and for two months now farook though not yet proven guilty is still earning salaries and allowances from nigerian coffers. in saner climes the trial may have gone three quarters of the way with the culprits leaving instructions for family members on what should be done while they are in jail. so tell me why you wont feel frustrated and bitter when those in diaspora wonder what is going on here.

amb patrick dele cole was given a national merit award a few weeks back...did you know he collected commission while as amb to brazil cars were being imported to nigeria on the supply.need i say more.

they usually call at night and will hope you try calling them back.....when you call back you realise that your airteime is being burnt even while it is ringing.....so your network gets to pay them landing fees for the call you tried to make....it may seem like a few odd seconds but when you realise the multiplier effect with so many numbers inocently trying to return a call and landing fees they get you will realise its a serious scam business...

oteh is the DG of SEC..the securities and exchange commission. She was in the eye of the storm durring the house of reps committe investigations into the near collapse of the capital market. After being riddled by various accusations bodering on impropriety ranging from extended stay at a hotel past the time aloud for her to get an official accomodation to other ridiculous hotels bills and engaging staff from organisations she is supposed to keep in check to a one man or even woman show at the commission. her her top assistants turned against her durring their testimonies not making her look pretty. She fired back at the Chairman of the committee alledging high handedness and her refusal to grant his various finacial requests being the underlying factor for the committee's vissible 'lets get to the bottom of the matter' approach even though they lost focus on the business of the day - the near collapse of the capital market. She also added that the committee chairman and deputy recieved business class tickets and estacode to attend a workshop in the Dominican Republic....a workshop they did not attend. Hon Hembe and his deputy are in court over the matter. The board of the commission which had only a few days left on their tenure thereafter suspended her only for the FG to reinstate her with an admonition to sin no more. the house of reps on the other hand are insisting that she must be removed.

me thinks the reps want to lay a preceedent so that heads of agencies whom they whip in line to grant their various monetary and other requests under the table will know whats coming if they dare follow her path. I submit that she had her faults which were glaring. thumbs up to her for daring those blood sucking reps who truly just shake down the Heads of these agencies. from the committe hearings you could sence she must have been running the show alone not neccessarily for her benefit but they were left with the shot end of the stick and so they fight back.

but ambasador patrick dele cole made the list. this was a man who while he was nigeria's ambasador to brazil collected commission on a deal to suplly cars by a brazilian firm to fgn....nigeria indeed we hail thee...

I am tired of the empty promises by gej....the simple things like tackle corruption he has failed to do and he will keep whining. it is obvious he does not have the answers to nigeria's issues. Me thinks he should resign. He he even had the advantge of finishing up yar adua's tenure for him to hit the ground running but no....whining and whining and whining
