16 years. Amokachi was 16 years when he was invited to camp by Clemens Westerhoff.

If Gavi can make his debut for Spain at 17 years, and do well, then Amoo at 19 years is not too young to get a chance for us.

Finito.
There some things we know and pretend not to know.

Gavi we know his age because in Spain there is automatic data capture at birth.

Amokachi was not a teenager.

Can someone please tell me why Dessers, Alhassan and Akpoguma weren't invited? What's wrong with them? Are they poor?
Look at Dessers goals this season , he had been a sub all season and scored 4 goals it's not good enough.

Akpoguma is not better than Calvin and Alhasssan has a long way to go to prove his quality.

USA did worse. They invaded Iraq claiming that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction. Bombing it repeatedly over 40 days, toppling it's govt, same for Libya, Afghanistan. Yet they're demonizing Russia and using sanctions against Putin.

Libya's destruction is what's causing insecurities in Nigeria and other African countries since all these years. The Western world is hypocrisy personified cool
I hope you have some level of education and therefore comprehension.

Have you heard of the Arab Springhuh And the subsequent general people's popular uprising that took place under the murderous despotic Gaddafi regime.

The daylight genocide and bloody murderous killings of civilian in Libya by paid mercenaries and the Gaddafi army. The French were the first to stop a Libyan army convoy at the gates of Benghazi. Averting a bloodbath to leashed on the Libyan people.

Look at 95% of all the arms and weaponry used during that conflict in Libya that ended with Libyans killing Gaddafi like a dog. They were all from Russia and eastern Europe.

Saddam invaded Kuwait another despotic ruler that gassed his own people the Kurds in their thousands. He had chemical weapons that he wisely got rid of before the conflict. But it was too late the a collective of forces not just the USA took him out deservedly so.

What's happening in Iraq is sectarian violence supported by Iran and Saudi Arabia, with Kurds look.

Afghanistan was the staging post for Al Qaeda and various other Islamic jihadists groups. It was from here 9/11 was initiated and carried out bloody murderous mayhem on the USA.

What is causing insecurity is a failure of governance across the West African sub region.

Deranged and misguided blood thirsty Islamic jihadists in DELUSIONAL obsession seek to impose their ideology across Africa.

They have filled the vacuum .

Putin is a dishonourable , deranged and deluded, telling bare faced Lies, despotic ruler. He swore he would never invade Ukraine on international media that his army was doing training exercises. He has zero integrity. You cannot believe a word he says.

Dictatorship are ruled not by the consent of the people ( democracy). But by coercion , repression and deceit, lies and murderous retribution to any who dissent even peacefully.

Putin will destabilise Africa by supporting military coups even instigating them.

Mali has ejected the French who saved the country from being totally run over by Jihadists. The Mali armed forces are inept and incapable of dealing with deranged lslamic Jihadists running wild in their country.

They have called in the Russians to prop up their unpopular regime taking power by force. That's a huge mistake that the whole of West Africa will pay a heavy price for.

I give Mali just three month maybe less, and it will be over run and become the new staging post for all manner of Jihadists to wreck mayhem across our sub region.

Nigeria is not exonerated lack of strategic planning and vision from a impotent and parochial leadership will see our situation get worse.

Bandit terrorists in association with multiple jihadists groups have literally taken over large portions of North of the country.

Get educated ,get informed and dont be fooled with your ignorance.

They hypocrisy and double standard of the NFF selection is prettyuch obvious.

But I think it's just the organisational culture, a preference anchored on past U17 youthful glories not current performance and progression in the senior professional game.

We are inviting old and retired legs from the second tier ( retirement league) of Turkey, that's not progression.

There are at least 20 Nigerian quality origin players playing from in the EPL and Championship that should have been considered.

Amoo is untried, untested and unproven to be called to the SE. He is not even first choice in his Copenhagen FC club, he is struggling to get games and even get on the bench. It is doesn't make sense for such a crucial game with Ghana.

Osimhen didn’t fight to any last, players like Sarr did. Go read up on Sarr’s story and see how much he fought to be at AFCON.

Dennis is not a striker, he is a winger who can play anywhere on the front three. Why are you building a strawman argument? By the way, Ighalo can’t play on the wings and Osimhen hasn’t played there in a long time, so Dennis trumps both there.
Dennis is a modern day forward player.

He has the modern day skill set required to be a top forward player, just like Mane, Salah, Sterling, etc, that's adaptable and versatile.

On form the best player is Dennis.

As Rondo no gree las las nko?
I have seen this play out so many times over the years.

Boreham Wood are in the 5th tier of English football and a lot of the players are part timers, it's more or less non league.

As a consequence, they may be able to defend and put up a fairly decent fight. But once you get to the second half and the last quarter. They just don't have the fitness to compete with a premier League club.

However, when it comes to the Championship it becomes a totally different ball game.

Not surprising, FA cup quarter finals ( last 8 ) you have two championship sides in the last eight, which includes. Liverpool, Manchester city, Chelsea followed by Southampton and Crystal palace.

Tottenham, Leicester, Arsenal, Manchester United got knocked out by Championship sides.

There is no in other second tier in Europe that will have that level of quality to compete with first tier league.

Alhassan yusuf of Royal Antwerp must be invited to beef up our midfield.
Also Anthony nwakaeme should be invited to help us in the wings.
Ahmed Musa needs to be dropped as he is wasting space other players should occupy
Shouldn't selection be about the best players we can get.

That selection quest is intrinsically tied to best league and club , you cannot make assumptions about quality it must be proven.

Once selected you must perform because if you don't then your selection can become DESELECTION.

In this regard Nwakeame and Yusuf dont cut it and considering the varied options available in midfield they are not good enough. I know many anchor their deductions on past youthful U17 glories including the NFF. However, that approach is fraught with with too much error and is more emotive than objective performance related.

‘Osimhen won’t say no to
Madrid’

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen won’t say no to
Real Madrid if the right offer comes from the
Spanish giants, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

According to reports in Italy and Spain, the
Nigeria international is seen by Madrid as a Plan
B should they fail to land Erling Haaland in the
summer, with the Norwegian a transfer interest
for several other European clubs, including
Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.

Haaland is one of the top targets for the Spanish
side, but according to recent reports, they will
most likely be going for the striker next summer,
after advising him to spend one more season
with Borussia Dortmund.

Osimhen joined Napoli in the summer of 2020 for
an African record price of €81m and has been a
revelation for the Naples-based side this
campaign, scoring 11 goals in 22 games despite
suffering from a facial fracture and COVID-19.

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has since
estimated the Nigerian to be worth €100m, a
price Madrid may be unwilling to pay, according
to Italian journalist Fabio Santini.

Santini has also explained that if Madrid were to
make a proposal, Osimhen would not say no, as
he sees it as an upgrade on Napoli.

The 23-year-old is one of the most sought-after
strikers in Europe and has drawn interest from
some of the biggest English Premier League sides
including Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea,
Liverpool amongst other top European sides.

He is not good enough for Madrid yet.

What if I told you that there's a difference between a striker and a centre forward??

There's a reason why players like Salah, Mane, Messi, Neymar Mbappe and the likes aren't classified as strikers or wingers, but rather as forwards!
A centre forward is a forward whose major role is to play centrally while a striker is a primary target man.. A centre forward is more involved in his team build up play than a striker..
Your screenshot clearly explain it...
That's a very apt way of putting it.

I would add the skill sets ( plural) required to be a forward to player are more than what is required for a striker.

But then you have strikers who are also forward player's like Kane. I was blown away by his hold up play, and his technicality but more so his passing by range.

I was watching Kane do a 35 yard cross field ball with pin point accuracy. But then his finishing is on another level completely.
