TheGoodJoe: In 2004, Davies began his UEFA coaching licences while also attending Loughborough University, where he studied Sport Science, and working in various youth coaching roles.
After graduating from Loughborough with 1st class honours in 2007, Davies was a youth coach in New Zealand for 3 seasons, including at Hawke's Bay United, where he worked alongside Bobby and Jonathan Gould.
In 2010, aged 25, Davies was recruited as an assistant coach by Brendan Rodgers, who was the newly appointed Swansea City manager. In their first season, Swansea City were promoted to the Premier League.
Davies moved with Rodgers to Liverpool in June 2012, and left his position at Liverpool on 8 October 2015. During his time at Liverpool, Davies completed his UEFA Pro Licence in 2015.
Davies rejoined Reading on 1 January 2016 as their first team coach. At 30-years-old, Davies became the youngest first team coach in the club's history.
In June 2016, Davies moved to Celtic, becoming assistant manager to Rodgers. In their first season in charge, Celtic won the domestic treble for only the fourth time in the club's history, as they reshaped the squad with youthful flair.
Celtic would go on to break their own 100-year-old record for successive domestic games unbeaten, going 69 matches without defeat.
In February 2019, Davies moved with Rodgers to Leicester City, again as his assistant manager.

Chris Davies has been on Rodgers side most of Rodgers career and I feel Chris is a big part of the brilliant tactical play.
I hope Nacho is learning loads from him. Chris seems very interested in Iheanacho and has been the one answering most of the questions from Iheanacho. Someone with your level of experience is carrying media reports like it's biblical authority. You should know what is said in.the media and what is said one to one are many many miles apart. You talk like someone who doesn't know the game. In my experience l have always found what players, Managers and coaches say to me off the record is a thousand miles different from what is said in the media. I expected you to know this. |

Icon79: No biggie. Kelechi Iheanacho would be making the team of the week every week if he were to be playing in Ligue 1.
O pari I don't know about that but it's possible. First of all the league is not as fast and as physical as the EPL add to that it's not on the same quality. The football is more suited to him and he will definitely score but being in the team of the week every week I am not sure. |

charlesemeka85: Bros not that but you have to put their club career progression and valuation into consideration. Playing for English youth teams enriches their career CV and value. this is one of the factors that the lure of playing for the English youth teams too attractive for them to turn down.
Majority of those who declare for us early are those who's chances in the English youth teams re slim. Can l add but with explanations. First of all being an England youth player adds a huge amount of value on you as a player. Financial as well as rating this means very lucrative endorsements and or other clubs looking at you as well. Consequently, what you do is use the leverage of being an England youth player. To ensure the best long term contract you can get. It would be extremely foolish to disengage with England youth and commit to another country when you are still in the team. However, when you are over 21 and you have in general expired as a England youth player. That's the best time to change allegiance. And you prior to that time you make no public commitments you keep everyone guessing. So majority of players will be those who have out grown youth football. They may indeed have prospects with senior team of England. |

Icon4s: Algeria had a bitter fight to independence in 1962. They were the last of their subregion to gain independence. They suffered heavy casulties. Although Western Sahara is still being colonised by Morocco after the Spaniards pulled out from that territory.
However, France has maintained a good relationship with it's ex-colonies, Algeria inclusive. The screen shots give an insight into the historical deep seated bitterness and never ending hidden hatred towards France by Algerians. From that bloody civil war the fought to gain independence from France in 1962. The younger generation may not feel so bitter but it still lingers. Don't forget Zz Zidane is of Algerian origin.

Curtisaxel7: I wish Rohr would do this. Esiti and Iheanacho are nothing but liabilities and clogs in the wheels of our progress.
Tomori is still iffy but Eze I think is there for the taking. And we need a no. 10 badly. Iwobi is at best UNRELIABLE, one good game followed by three anonymous performances, one good dribble followed by some terrible decision making, one good effort at goal followed by three powerless pass-like shots.
We need Eze. Badly. I think Iwobi is very unpredictable and that gives him an edge. However, his ability to put in top level performances consistently is a challenge. Nonetheless, he is still one of our better quality players. I do believe that Eze brings much needed additional attacking threat from the midfield. How effective and good will he be is open to debate. Can he better than Iwobi the possibility exists. But without him being tested how can we know. |

Truidstar: I do not prefer he calls anybody. My statement is not senseless. Rohrs modus operandi should be clear to all by now. It's Brazil we are playing. He will use the tested and trusted. Kalu, Aribo, Iwobi, Osimhen and co. No time for your favorites to properly express themselves. I reiterate again. Their time will come. I prefer the term tried and tested but the tested and trusted is an improvement. The tried and trusted means they have been tested and trusted to have performed and either exceeded or met the expected standard. Can you say you would trust our defenders against the pacy and skilful wingers and forward players of Brazil and or any good quality national team. In my opinion our midfield is competent but could really good do with the addition of Eze to add a but more attacking threat. It's a friendly we are not expected to win and so we can play without pressure of expectation. Friendly or no friendly can we beat them possibly although highly unlikely. Therefore Rohr should use the fixture to try out other players who have shown promise. Although l know he is conservative and will probably will not so he will let stick with previous players plus the addition of Joe Aribo. |

realpoacher: I am a happy man this new Season.
This should be the best ever season for Nigerian footballers in our history.
Many of our boys are balling across the major top 5 leagues.
I mean plenty of our players are actually starting and scoring. This is the best time for any of our previous coaches to coach us.
Not like time past where we would only hear of Poland, Ukraine, Malta, Slovenia, Czech Republic etc leagues where we would have to consult the Map to locate it.
The other time we had the best spread prior to now was in the time of Okocha and Yak. During the time of Okocha, we had only kanu, babayaro, and Okocha playing across the top 5 leagues, aside that none else.
During the time of Yak, we had only Yobo, Osazie, Shittu, Mikel and Yakubu himself. Not all were even playing Uefa then self.
But today, we have
Osimehen
Chuks
Onuachu
Okereke
S. Kalu
S. Moses
Olayinka
Aribo
Ndidi
B. Dennis
Aina
Ekong
Omeruoh
Collins
Now
Ramon Azeez
Etc
As of today, I can actually look forward to each footballing weekend. Any direction i change my Channels to i see a Nigerian in the league and in a team playing, assisting and Scoring.
So much joy to watch
God bless these boys
God bless Gernot Rorh
God bless Pinnick
God bless the Super Eagles
Long May This Continue!! May you also see your children playing on TV for a top league and club too. By God's grace. |

TheSuperNerd: First of all... didn't bother reading beyond the first five lines.
Second of all.. I don’t need screenshots to say what you have been doing all year berating that young man long before he (Osimhen) began shutting your lousy opinions up and burning them to ashes... we all in here know your dark ways. So just keep up the charade man.... it is obvious you were born to be this hateful of true pearls from the Nigerian home front.
Komekn... you are just an example of a man who have years in living but lack any sense of truth in him. It is sad really.
Lastly on that bolded word on your clearly deluded post... I don't brag about where I have been or what I do... unlike your hypocritical self who loves to seek validation by telling people where you have been. Empty barrels make the loudest noise Sir. In your case... sadly this is so... adios. "As a boy thinketh so he is" I am not sure why, but you have perceived it too be bragging and posturing. If your perception is so low that's not my fault. If these mundane engagements for me, seem so convoluted to you, that you are unable to comprehend them as my day-to-day normal business. I am sorry, could this be inferiority complex ❓ Because what else can we conclude why should you think it's posturing or bragging. When TheGoodJoe, BascoVanVeli and or Icon4s talk about engagement in Nigeria with NFF, Manager's, players and coaches. I take it as matter or fact, not bragging or posturing. I don't get upset screaming abuse and vitriolic rhetoric. It reminds me of times in Nigeria by just driving a particular car some people think you are showing off. That's not your fault. Is your self esteem so low ❓ l guess "na small boy deh worry you" |

I introduce to you your worst nightmare... Unlike you l just say things as they are objectivity something that's very alien too you. I don't engage with "Wanna be's" you carry this faceless forum thing way too far. You get so heated, you abuse, dispatch insults with reckless abandon and tell so many LIES to prove your delusional point. But why do any of these football players know you or you them and do they pay your school fees. My opinion about Osimhen has remained the same nothing changed, fast very lightweight striker that has a good eye for goal. Failed at Wolfsburg did very well at Charleroi and is doing exceptional at Lille. But in your delusional you changed the narrative is what how you do substantive research at school. Because considering your moniker it seems so misplaced from what you do here. I have challenged you several times to substantiate your nonsensical propositions and depraved deductions. But like so many others here you just go evasive and think your perception is proven fact. That's being extremely delusional. For someone who claims to be so well educated you act like a garage tout screaming and abusing. You can make your point without all the antics you express here. I put it down too youthful misplaced exuberance. Now look at a post from November last year what's hypocritical about it. I suggest you have described yourself bigoted egotistical hypocrite.

If you can't then you must be insured desperate mofo. Nonsense. There are some that don't deserve an answer because it's FUTILE. They are unable to see beyond thier own over-inflated egos and are so Super delusuional are unable to see things from any other perspective but thier own. Seyi Ojo is doing very well at the moment he did very well at Fulham who requested for him for thier EPL campaign. But Liverpool did not let him go. He had a torrid time at Rennes but has found his feet at Rangers. Is he better than our existing wingers l simply don't know is he comparable a resounding big YES. Each player brings something different will it work for the SE, until the players are tested you simply don't know. Is Eze as a AM better than Iwobi l don't know seemingly Iwobi is ahead. But Eze has a hot shot from distance both feet. Who is better is not really the question but who will be more effective and that will depend on the team you are playing and team formation. |

Manchester United U23 are not exactly all exceptional. And in some regards players development takes precedence over winning. In this regard there are quite a few non league sides that will flog Manchester United. Do you know that more than 50% of these academy players dont end up playing professional football. I know a player who left the U23 of a very top EPL side he had captained England U16 and had Captained the U18. He left in 2017 by end of 2018 he was playing non league semi professional football.
