Omeruo is like expired drugs no longer effective just there for decoration and past glories.

Forget to say Onye and Onye who and who will give creativity apart from Fisayo that midfield is just carrying water and running around, huffing and puffing but unable to blow any house 🏡 down .

Essentially a dead on arrival midfield apart from Fisayo.

Sweden should be better than Cyprus of all places. That said, Snerd has already stated that the guy isn't good enough, he probably has watched him. I have seen some clips of Amas Obasogie and I think he has a lot of potentials. I don't know what happened to Siasia's goalie at the Brazil Olympics, he was quite good then.
Not exactly they are literally on the same level.

Foreign born and academy players have taken over due to poor grassroots development from NFF.
Football development is long term not short term and it's planned and strategic.

For many years England were the kick and rush, blood and guts merchants for decades. They could not produce quality, technical top level players..

The admittance of failure is the beginning of success.

English FA started with a long term development plan and strategy that started with coaching development .

I've watched a complete regeneration of the footballing academy system in England.

You would have noticed the kind of players coming out of the academy systems in the UK. There was a time it was very difficult to get English players playing outside of the UK.

But that's not the position anymore, English players are playing across the top league of Europe and now the EPL is s the best league in the world 🌍.

It didn't happen over night or from wishful thinking.

Unfortunately, with bitter pain, l hate to say it but apart from the entertainment industry every other area of development has gone backwards.

So I don't see anything currently or in the near future that's going to change with the current state of our political leadership.

after U20 world 3-5 players from the set are drafted into the senior national team and that is how we discovered most of our best players. But since the Advent of foreign born players, that transition process has stalled.
Dude you don't use youth football exploits as a basis for quality and or selection into the senior national team.

It's simply foolishness.

You forgot to consider quality and competition. Osimhen, Ndidi, Nacho and others were easily drafted into the national team because of what they offered and the fact that we couldn't boast of quality players in their respective position then.
V.O., Ndidi, K.C, progressed, improved, developed, improved, beyond mere youthful potential to consistent, outstanding quality performance in club and league.

That was the basis for selection into the SE, primarily beyond any other considerations.

Let me quote myself verbatim.

"top of the goal scoring charts for the past 5 years"

I have to apologize my statement may seem ambiguous, l did not say highest goal scorer but
top of the goal scoring charts for me means among the top three highest goal scorers .

Osimhen is more of a threat to defenders than Haaland
I am sorry 😑 I don't agree with you at all.

Erling Haaland is an enigma, from day one he has been outstanding. He is 23 and started playing first team at age 15.

From Red Bull to Borrusia to Manchester City, this enigma Erling Haaland has been killing it like a serial killer.

In comparison V.O. for the first time in his career he became the top goal scorer in a league, last season. It's taken three seasons in Seria A for V.O. to attain this level. And several seasons in Europe to get there.

By COMPARISON Erling Haaland hit the ground running from day one. He has been consistently at the top of the goal scoring charts for the past 5 years and right now he is still ahead.

@emboldened 1.... so Leicester will be facing relegation FROM THE CHAMPIONSHIP in a few months' time according to your angle ba.
😁😁

Let's have a bet. If Leicester makes it back into the EPL automatically without going through the Playoffs, you lose and will cease with your Championship hypes. If they don't, you win and I will term the Championship the best 2nd tier in the world. Deal??🤝🏻😁😁 (Quote this and acknowledge the bet or it is invalid, abi u dey fear?🤣)

@emboldened 2.... Good to see that you have indeed started the count. Well done. More to come.🥱🥱
Let me quote myself word for word.

The Championship is the most physically taxing, intense and competitive league, you can be at the top of the league a few months later your facing relegation.

It's not a league to count your chickens before they are hatched in my opinion. This league is tough very tough MARATHON not a sprint where you run out of steam half way through.

How on earth did your come to the conclusion from what I have written 🤔🤔❓❓is COMPLETELY BEYOND ME.

I have nothing to say

How can you call that a sitter when the keeper was quick enough to rush out and close him downhuh

The keeper's quick response and anticipation was what saved him that goal, bro. He was already rushing on when Osimhen was still in the process of snatching the ball.

That was excellent goalkeepng at play there.

And moreover, who created that chance? Its still Osimhen himself.

How many strikers can today can bully defemders the way Osimhen does?
It depends on what you mean by bullying ❓

Being the best doesn't erase the fact that some teams are crap like luton. EPL being the best league doesn't stop arsenal from losing to nice of France.
I don't use derogatory language, l would say not very good, not **** ☹️.

The discussion emanated from the delusional agenda that surrounds Nwakali. That he is somehow the best midfielder or one of the best in the Portuguese league. And certainly according to his badly tuned praise singers, the best in Chavez FC.

That delusional discourse made someone to compare Luton Town to Chávez with the suggestion that Chavez is better.

With regards to Nice beating Arsenal ( it happens) not too long ago Nottingham Forest in the Championship beat Arsenal. A few days ago Newcastle United beat PSG ,the same Newcastle was beaten by league one Sheffield Wednesday in the FA cup some months ago.

Would you say PSG and Arsenal And Newcastle are now poor quality 🤔❓❓❓

Yes I know based on my football knowledge, having 3 MOTM,7 goals and assist so far showed how important he is to the team, even last season he had 14 goals.

Chaves and fans rate him highly.

You take out Nwakali from that team and nobody will notice and or miss him.

That's the plain fact.

Why not Alhassa❓

Elijah Adebayo starts for Luton against Spurs spotting #11. @Komekn, is Adebayo eligible for us and do you you think he could be a good addition at some point down the line.
I remember him when he was about 18 when he was a youth player, technically good with fast feet.

But he is over 6'2" and sinc he left Fulham they have turned him into the quintessential , "BATTERING RAM" kick and rush ,blood and guts striker.

I don't think he is technically good enough, maybe if he played in a better on the deck football club,I would see his other side.

But for now not good enough I think , he more like Awoniyi just taller.

Mavo

For the last 12 months, stats tells the story.
Always a big player for his team.
Stats not taken in context become a deceptive component to misinform.

Statistics are indicative not conclusive without being taken into context.

What use are his statistics if his team is the bottom of the league 😭 has conceded more goals than any other team😞 the value of the team is lower than most teams in league two.

Player value has an unquestionable link to player quality, that cannot be denied.

I decided to take a perfunctory look at a bottom club in English League two , Tranmere Rovers and I was shocked 😳😳 the weekly average wage is almost double of Chavez FC.

Many of you like to argue that money has nothing to do with player quality. But that's not true, quality players get better paid. And poor quality players get paid peanut's 🥜 you cant hide away from these facts.

You cannot attract good players with poor pay, Nwakali is effectively earning less than what he got at Ponferradina.😭😭

Could the dearth of quality AMs in the National team be a direct consequence of our poor performance in youth football in recent years?

Our various youth teams have been the production line thru which we get quality Midfielders in the past.

Etim Esin, Mutiu Adepoju, Jay Jay okocha, Thompson Oliha,Wilson Oruma, pius Ikedia,Mikel obi, Haruna lookman all came thru the youth ranks.

Our local league hasn't really come thru for us in this regard with only Friday Ekpo the only quality Midfielder I can identify that the league has given us and it is not every time quality Midfielders pop up randomly in Europe. Only Sunday Oliseh, Joel obi and Obodo have popped up for some time.

We might need to pay more attention to the youth teams u17 to u23 if we need to discover more AMs for the NT
The basis for SE national team selection is outstanding, consistent, quality performance in your team and league.

Youth football is just potential yet to be realised with a many variables that will determine the ability to make it in professional football.

This is why we have been having a never irrational, emotive preference based even obsessive quest by many to have NWAKALI in the SE . Not based on merit but sentimental favouritism.

Nwakali was great at youth level, that's where it began and where it ended 8 years ago.

Actually Nwakali is the missing link. Excellent hold up play and passes. He plays in a top tier and has been decent.
Oniovo Dude is in the worst team in the Portuguese league. The league is rated number 7 in Europe.

Do you think Chaves is better than a League one team because I don't think so , without prejudice.

Nwakali is very poor quality player, long ball ability is not a particular oustanding skill set.

I know 13/14 year old boys that can do 35 yard pinpoint accurate passes and crosses. So stop acting like Nwakali is the only player who can do long ball it's a basic skill not an exceptional one.

You can ask former president of the Chicago State University, Dr. Elnara Daniel, who is about to sue TINUBU for forging her signature on his forged degree certificate.

Or you can wait for when an international arrest warrant is issued for TINUBU.
