Omeruo is currently the best performing Super Eagles center back as things stands.

How you came about this conclusion beats me.

I know most of you guys are tired of seeing old faces, but that does not take away what they can do.

Imagine saying Omeruo has nothing to offer the SE, when he is the top performing CB
No he absolutely is not .

I've watched him several times he gets wasted for pace , gets bullied like a school boy by strikers with physicality.

How he has remained in the SE is a wonder.

Omeruo has stagnated and has nothing to offer the SE.

He has never gone beyond being average or below his club career says it all.

What is the contradiction? Have I ever said that Chaves players are high grade? I have always maintained that Kelechi Nwakali is the best player in the team. So can you explain contradiction in my statement?
You are blinded to the point of absurdity in your fanatical fantasy support for a mediocre player.

You said he was the best in the Segunda division but he left the lowly relegated Ponferradina to an even lower club Chavez FC

This club has the lowest performance in the entire Portuguese league they have lost all 5 matches but somehow you think Nwakali is the best .

Best of what huh Very Poor level 😞 players.

Statistics are not necessarily conclusive then taken in context they are only indicative. He is so good his coach doesn't start him but leaves him on the bench.

A player may get a 8.9 rating in a Chavez Portuguese first tier league game, will that make him better than a player getting 5.5 in the premier League ❓

Certainly not , why because there is a huge gulf and disparity in the quality context. So best player (highly debatable) in that context is still very poor by comparison to other quality better Leagues.

You are a hypocrite with double standard, because you say the team is very poor but with the exception of Nwakali who is excellent and the best player in the team. That's simply ludicrous.

Chaves gave a very good account of themselves in the second half. They really went at it but the quality of players is tok poor to make head way.

If Gomes stays, he needs to plug some positions in the team.

Till the next game.
To contradict yourself

The quality of players in Chavez is very poor NO EXCEPTION.

Since we got married, everything about the upkeep, rents, bills, feeding, general upkeep. I mean everything is on me and he has refused to provide for us as he always claimed he doesn't have. I have always be an understanding person who believe, I should be doing while I can, pending when things gets better for him.
I never knew he was getting little little, but was gambling away with it.

We really do not date for a long time before we got married. Because I knew him back then in school from a far distance. And we liked each other but didn't date. So, meeting again after graduation and in a different environment, made me believe I already knew and the fact that we already liked each other.

He was struggling with a little job when we got married. My foresight then was to grow with him. I supported him in all ways. Infact, during our wedding, most support came from friends and relatives.
Because I'm not the type of a wife that pressurized, It took me a very long time to know the nature of habit he had that has kept him low even before I married him.

He is a chronic gambler.
No money stays with him. He wouldn't even care about himself so long as he can afford little money to gamble.
Now, I don't have a job and too much burden has crippled my business.

To be honest, I'm losing myself. Sometimes I feel I need a therapy myself.
My husband has refused to change or make effort to make this marriage work.
Before I had my second child, he was pretending as if he has changed. But immediately I took in, he continues this lifestyle. I almost died due to emotional breakdown and responsibilities shouldered by myself.

I have done everything, (both family members have adviced him severally, I have prayed, fasted, cried, shouted, talked with a calm voice, all my efforts. but non is working.

Presently, since two weeks ago now, I don't cook for him. I source for food for just myself and my children. We barely have decent conversation in this house. I can't even remember the last time we had intimacy.
I always avoid him, each time he tries to get close. Because of the situation of things in this house.
We had two children and I don't intend having any other.
The cost of taking care of myself and the children all by myself is emotional hurting me so much.
School has resume and I can't even afford all the expenses of taking my first son to start a new school and I know, he would watch our son stay back at home. He wouldn't care.

We're in the house, but he's only concern is how to get little money to gambles.

Are these not enough reasons to divorce him?
During one qurrel we had recently, I told him I want us to separate for now, so we can work on ourselves, and he said he will be with our children not me.
I see that as way to make my children suffers.

What can you advise please?

I just want peace of mind.

I don't want to waste my youthful life in a loveless marriage. Where myself and my husband can not support each other to grow in Love. Rather, stressing me.
The Operative word that you introduced is "AS A CHRISTIAN"

That means all our deductions must be strictly anchored ⚓ on scripture ( The Bible) A few provisos , we are called to obey first, not to necessarily understand and or question.

No matter how irrational it may seem to our modern day sense of humanity and social norms and values.

It means we can't be ASSUMPTIVE or use conjecture and or vice versa.

First of all there is no Biblical provision for a woman to divorce her husband. You may take Colin of 1 Corinthians 7:15 , you are not bound . It's not a ground for divorce, but if you leave you must remaine as you are.

Any man who marries a divorced woman commits adultery No exception. Luke 16:18, Matt 5:32, Mark 10:11 and Romans 7:2 ( marriage convenat ends with only with death.

When reading scripture it's important to read in context both in spirit and in context. Marriage in Biblical context is not a partnership it's leadership by men. Yes the environment is intrinsically patriarchal.

As you know men married more than one wife as was allowed by scripture. And the issues was the man putting away his wife,( divorce) not marrying another.

In summary the motivation for divorce is overwhelming to remarry. And that is not an option for Christian woman to be divorced and have a remarriage. That is sin , living on continuous adultery.

However, you can remain separate but not divorced staying as you are without remarrying.

We also want the judgement to be set as precedence and there's no better place for precedence to be set good or bad.

We want the Supreme Court to say INEC can change the mode of transmission during election.

We want them to say Thuvb drug case was targeting his accounts and not him

We want them to say Guinean citizenship was not included initially

We want them to say IREV and electronic transmission is optional

We want them to say you can forge your certificate

We want them to say a political party cannot sue another whether pre or post election

We want them to say even if you supply INEC certify true copies, you still need polling unit witness and EC8s tendered

We want them to say you must prove polling unit by polling unit upto 100 thousand even if you have 2 months.

Once the Supreme Court upholds these dangerous precedence, then we can rest but we will not rest before then!

Yes you right and footballing should be for talented ones not forcing a kid who lacks the natural basic skills.

I remember telling my friend Emma Olisadebe basic truth that what are you doing in the university with this talent cuz it was obvious the guy was damn too good and within two years Emma took Poland to World Cup,nominated for Ballon d’or.

If Emma took to the game very early he would have been one of the best in the world like going to academy but already a university student before realizing he can do it and it was even persuasion from Fanny Amu and Amusa Adisa who handled Nigeria football team to World universities games.

Fanny Amu was like what! a university student without club benched NPFL leading goal scorer Edith Agoye then university of Ibadan student but playing for 3sc in WUGA camp, both were later paired in the games.

I think talent does it.
I would disagree with you or maybe we have different way of looking at it.

There is natural talent yes, like blistering speed.

But all talent needs to be developed and continuously to reach excellence.

However, the main topic was footballers children and inheritance of skill, talent and ability by ASSOCIATION.

Children learn by association and association with parents is great influence. So if you are Father and you don't spend a lot of time with your children they will receive little or nothing from you.

A former Nigerian international came to the UK with his children. Came to see me. I took his kids out to play football it was suggested they could get into a EPL academy but after the session they were FAR OFF THE MARK. Meanwhile multiple EPL clubs were prepared to give them a trial on the just the name of their Father.

It was obvious the Father had not spent much time with his boy and it showed.

I know several children who are in top Academies but are not good but are left their to please the parents.

And some footballers parents spend a huge amount of time with their kids. Last year I met Marcelo his son plays for Real Madrid his Dad was with him even at age 14 to advise and encourage.

For your children to inherit from the Father, those children must spend a lot of time with the Father and in some regards be inseperable. Abedi Pele did it with his sons.

You can't leave your children in a school somewhere and think somehow they will become footballers without your every day input, No way, sorry 😒 to say .

Sterling wasn't a 9 at Liverpool especially as the Reds had Suarez and Sturridge running things. It was at City you could try and argue he played in that false 9 role but I think the genius of Pep Guardiola boosted his goal scoring numbers.

Yes Rashford does well on the left. I haven't seen many games in which he has flourished playing as a 9 hence the reason why I say he struggles.

Boniface also operates as a second striker with a bit of a creative spark. You can see he has already dropped two assists in three league. Of our three top forwards he looks most comfortable on the ball. So that's where the versatility could come in but the bottom line is the current SE wingers need to do more.

The reason why England have looked more dynamic in attack lately is down to the quality that players like Raheem, Foden and Saka. England has always had great to good strikers like Shearer, Sherringham, A. Cole, Crouch, Fowler, Rooney to mention a few but the current crop of wide men has given them a serious tactical edge.
Liverpool in that 2013/15/16 did not play a Diamond 💎 formation under Rogers, it was Sturridge & Suarez playing as two man front pair.

Several times in fact quite a lot , Raheem played right up front. I know because I watched him several times live upfront and personal.

Collins was an already established SE squad member before he got injured last season. Like you I don't fancy him but it's not unheard of for countries to hand call ups to squad players once they start playing club games.

Look at Maguire for instance. He hasn't done anything remarkable in club football but he keeps getting call up ahead of other deserving defenders. Are England and Southgate saying they couldn't find a younger and better defender instead of recycling Maguire?
My answer is very simple, we are not England.

And because Southgate shows emotional preference for a player we should also do the same.

Chavez as a team lacked the edge and if not for Nwakili nobody will get time watching or analyzing Chavez games. The team is too poor.
That's the problem, a player had done NOTHING since U17, and many are still fixated with him it's incomprehensible.

Look at Chavez FC, I once did a comparison of their finances with a English league two team. And Bradford had much more money.

Once you have no money, you will not get a quality manager/ coach and you will not be able to attract any good quality players that's the REALITY.

This team has lost all four games have conceded the highest number of goals scored the least number of goals in the league. Average weekly salary is £1.5k, that means some players will.be on £500 a week, the team is a joke. It's like a non league part time team.

Rashford and Sterling only do well in the wings. Rashford particularly struggles in the top 9 role which every English pundit and ex-player has acknowledged. Callum Wilson I don't know how prolific he is especially in England colours for you to suggest he brings versatility in the forward line.

Osimhen, Awo and Boniface have other elements they bring to their teams like Harry Kane who doesn't necessarily operate from the wing.

Our wingers are no where as effective as Foden, Saka and sometimes Rashford who complement Kane.

Nigerian wingers need to start giving Victor Moses like output to bring more of that dynamism and unpredictability into our attack.
At one stage Raheem was the pivotal number 9 for Liverpool as well as England. Rashford is very good on both wings still.avgrest number 9 ( he doesn't struggle) however I think he is more effective on the left wing.

Callum is still very good, but England have almost too many top quality forward players. And yes KANE is world class and in a different level as a quintessential number 9.

The key issue is VERSATILITY and ADAPTABILITY this is where our forward line may be a bit lacking. Three players who can only play strictly as number 9s.
