Yea, but sometimes I want to lock the trip or avoid lateness. A girl cancelled what could have been my last trip yesterday. From surulere to charity 4600. The time was around 9:30pm, I’ve drive like 4 mins into the 5 mins, so I called as I was about entering her street. Next I hear is, oh! Sorry I book both on Bolt and Indrive and the Bolt is here.” The thing pain me enter bone. Later saw 3100 to ICM from Tejuosho around 10. I didn’t even bother to price her, driving home empty won’t be fun atall.
30 minutes of waiting for another request. I can imagine what would be going on in your mind during the interval; "by now I should have been in anthony". This hustle will make you humble by force.

So support still reply, indrive ain’t returning nothing. Those guys may be worst with time
The best bet is to prevent indrive's auto-start and tapping call icon. I don't have the energy to be doing back and forth with support.

Smiles.
This ain't bolt, bro. You don't need all this Naira/km shiittt, just target good fares to good locations.
Use time na amount tactics: Calculate 1hr trip that will give you 6k+. You can break it down by breaking the 1hr into short trips that will still fetch you 6k+ after all those small trips are completed.
As time goes on, you will understand the game and create your own yardstick.

Much respect, baba.
Seconded! Too much sense baba.
@MrReeseG kindly take note.

He didn't cancel per se, I got there and called. He kept dropping the call. But, yes, I'd tapped the "I'm here" button while on the way to him.

Does the pickup countdown timer reading in the negative not have any effects on my ratings or performance?
The -ve timer has effect. Indrive doesn't joke with timing. They have warned me before. Make sure you are close to the pick up before tapping "I'm here" to avoid auto-start.

I go eventually see better ride, tap am, next thing "ride has already been taken". E go come remain the nonsense request them. E reach one stage I just jeje park for Dominos for admiralty siddon dey look

Meanwhile, one werey cancelled on me yesterday while on the way to his place and indriver don already auto-start trip. Do I need to raise a support ticket or they'll issue my refund eventually?
I guess you tap "I'm here" before getting to the pick up location?
They will issue refund if it's in your refund wallet. If not, write support and prove your case.

No vex, today don drag me, I deh ikeja for 2 hours no trip. I’ll pick and cancel. Traffic on Ikorodu road. I don’t know if I am the only one feeling the low trip today. Target must be met.
Effect of fastest finger first, I guess. Sorry for your experience.

I'm beginning to suspect security breach on indrive app as a result of this incessant "Ride has already been taken" stuff or maybe indrive can't maintain the surge in users.

That's false.. bolt is still 25%. For the branded guys, they get paid 18k plus weekly for the branding.
However, there's a proviso attached to the payment.
You must do 40 trips weekly to claim 18k .. it's not free money.
Is it worth it? I wonder too why people do it, huhhuman nature. .. different strokes for different folks.

I am not drifting Sir, we are still saying some thing.
The truth is you can't compare sleep with death, most of the cars used oversees can never be compare to the ones used here.
Yes there are still few Nigerians that takes care of thier cars, but the environment also plays a role.
For instance how many people even scan their cars before trying to fix anything, most times they com here and ask for suggestions then work on the things we suggest.
Again chances of getting good spare parts here is slim, how about the mechanics?
Many people can't afford the seasoned ones, the traffics and stress these cars experience here no be small.
I used ordinary paint as instance, compare the paints that comes with these vehicles to what we have here.
I know someone will argue there painters who are good, fine but what of the panel beaters that will work on the car?
They just do whatever they like so the painter can do his painting, that's why once I see a car painted in Naija I will always know.
But oyibo will change fenders, bummers or them to do proper work if need be, even their filler, gums are miles ahead of what we have here.
Bro na only few Naija cars can beat foreign used cars if we are to compare.
But their bill is crazy bro. I think that's why they prefer to sell than fix. Come see them on youtube thanking automobile content creators for saving them from spending huge money.

There's a reason why experienced and seasoned car dealers stay away from Nigerian used cars. The ones that manage to sell for friend will not use their receipt for the transaction. E get why!

An average Nigerian lack maintenance culture and is already looking for the next victim to pass the car onto, the second the car starts misbehaving or they're done with the abusive relationship they have with the car.
I salute you boss! 🙌

Even before the past Salah I still called you with my credit and you spoke with the owner of my street where I currently live (not stay)... He was a customer I referred to you.

In customer relations, just 1 referral can bring you 100s of customers.

Blackbishop be very careful, this is the very last time I will sound this to you. Pls avoid me henceforth me and you no be mate in any aspect. If you think you can spoil my brand I'll tell you I joined hands in making you what your currently are today. Please stay off my back.

Don't understand what is going on here, not talks about people's experience on the road or how fuel is used or just life experiences while ehailing, it's how one is spending money on house or how he lives, I learnt quite a lot before I gave my car out for ehailing, came here trying to see if what my partner is complaining about is true, I learnt quite a lot here when trying to get a car for uber, the right app to use, the routes to avoid, the way to handle situations especially with police and the sorts, what to have on one's car and the rest, but all that's here now is just banter.

Please for us still learning the ropes can this thread go back to the way it was once was?

My partner is saying the fares on the indriver app and others Haven't been adjusted to suit the current hike in fuel , don't know if this is true or no
There has never been a time that people have not quarrelled on this thread. Let's stop this rhetoric. If you have questions bothering you, feel free to ask and you will get adequate response. If it is even interesting, you will see veterans coming from nowhere to respond to it.

To your question, indrive is very tricky. There are juicy and rubbish requests but the challenge is "fastest finger first". By the time you figure out the juicy request and you pick it, you get a response: request has already been taken. You can introduce him to cheerfulgiver's telegram group for some tips.

Rider: are we there?
Me: Yes sir!
Rider: No, this is not my house, is this not toll gate

Inside my mind I’m like Jesu, which kind wahala be this.

Rider : you are wasting my time, take me to my house
Me : oga where’s your house?
He called the address
Me: oga see this is it, Look at the number at the wall
Rider: are you sure this is not Lekki

Took his neighbors to tell me to calm down, he’s high. Reach out to his wife to come take him and pay. Wahala

OH well, It is what it is bro. If you try to challenge the narrative been thrown around here, they will come for you.

I already zeroed my mind to make X2.5 of my fuel input, 10k fuel to gross 25k minimum. And I also drive less now because it's too much work, before I make my fuel money back, I'm almost tired, talk more of chasing profit.

All these talk of 'I'm making more money now ' doesn't seem realistic to me, but that's not my business.

Meanwhile, I only work at night except Sunday.
