Leobankx: Details of how six top Yoruba monarchs prevailed upon nonagenarian legal luminary Afe Babalola to drop his criminal defamation suit against human rights activist and lawyer Dele Farotimi have emerged.
“Look at my books, I’m Chairman, Transparency International based in Germany, I have given lectures against corruption with my papers in many universities globally.
“For someone to allege that I have won my cases through corruption, it’s an attempt to defame me. That was why I rejected all appeals earlier made to me. But when I heard that Ooni was coming, I knew I was in a fix today.
“There is nothing I’m going to gain from his (Dele) imprisonment and there’s nothing I want from the so-called damages. I am not in quest of more wealth, I’m rather concerned about managing the one I have already. Dele Farotimi is hereby forgiven. On this occasion, I say ‘yes’.”
The 5 Obas shouldn't have gotten involved here. Has the 56-year-old Dele Farotimi apologized publicly for the highly irresponsible defamatory comments and book he made against the 98-year-old legal giant, Chief Afe Babalola, SAN, and others?
As predicted, some irresponsible simpletons and idiots have started posting and saying that Afe Babalola knew he was going to lose the case in court which shows the "lower animal" level of thinking these people have sunk right into.
ogododo: The Lagos State Government has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Federal Government to kickstart exploratory work on the 68-kilometer Green Line rail project.
The rail line will connect Marina to the Lekki Free Trade Zone, traversing key areas such as Victoria Island, Lekki, and Ajah.
The announcement was made by the Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso, during a Citizen/Media Stakeholders Forum organized by the Ministry on Monday.
He disclosed that the agreement was signed with the Federal Government’s Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), as detailed in a statement posted on the official Facebook page of the Lagos State Government.
“The Lagos State Government has said it has signed an MoU with the Federal Government’s Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI) to kickstart exploratory work on the development of the Green Line project,” the statement read in part.
The Green Line rail project is expected to enhance connectivity and support economic activities along one of Africa’s fastest-growing industrial corridors, contributing significantly to the state’s infrastructure and development.
What you should know
The 68-kilometre Green Line, planned to connect the Lekki Free Trade Zone to Marina, is a pivotal element of the Lagos Strategic Transport Master Plan. This comprehensive initiative aims to establish a metro rail system with six Light Rail Transit (LRT) lines to enhance connectivity and ease traffic congestion across Lagos.
Significant progress has already been made on two of the proposed LRT lines, with passenger operations already active on the first phases of the Blue Line and the Red Line. The first phase of the Blue Line, spanning 13 kilometers from Marina to Mile 2, commenced operations in September 2023.
The Green Line rail project is expected to enhance connectivity and support economic activities along one of Africa’s fastest-growing industrial corridors, contributing significantly to the state’s infrastructure and development.
Similarly, the initial phase of the Red Line, covering 27 kilometers of its planned 37-kilometer route from Agbado in Ogun State to Oyingbo in Lagos, began operations in 2024. This phase of the Red Line includes eight strategically located stations: Agbado, Iju, Agege, Ikeja, Oshodi, Mushin, Yaba, and Oyingbo.
Construction is actively ongoing on the second phases of both the Blue and Red Lines, highlighting Lagos State’s commitment to expanding its rail infrastructure and meeting the transportation needs of its growing population.
A Nairametrics review of the 2025 Federal Government’s Final Budget Proposal revealed that the Federal Government allocated N146.14 billion as counterpart funding for the Lagos Green Line Metro Rail Project.
According to the budget document, the funding will be transferred to the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI), which will manage the counterpart funding on behalf of the Ministry of Transport for the project’s development. This allocation is part of the proposed N49.74 trillion budget for the 2025 fiscal year and falls under the Ministry of Transport’s budgetary provisions.
In September 2024, Nairametrics reported that the Lagos State Government formalized an agreement with MOFI and China Harbour Engineering Company (CHEC) for the Green Line’s development.
Alsenora: Samuel Johnson in his book, The History of The Yorubas, also gave a vivid description of the war and the historic signing of Peace Treaty in Imesi Ile, ending the war...
@Alsenora
Thanks for emphasizing on Samuel Johnson's iconic book, "The History of the Yorubas" first published in London. Did you know that Samuel Johnson and Ajayi Crowther (his mother was from the Yoruba kingdom of Ketu in Benin Republic) are both cousins and direct royal descendants of Alaafin Abiodun, the Emperor of the Oyo Empire who reigned in the 1700s? Unfortunately, Samuel Johnson and Ajayi Crowther they were affected by the slave trade BUT providence beaconed as the British Navy Squadrons intercepted the slave ships headed for the Americas at different times and liberated the captives on board in Sierra Leone.
A lot of Yoruba royal family members from different kingdoms fell victim to the slave trade to such an extent that one of Alaafin Abiodun's biological sons was taken as a captive to Bahia in Brazil, where he got married to a Yoruba woman he met who gave birth to their famous son in Brazil named Dom Oba II. So, Alaafin Abiodun's grandson named Cândido da Fonseca Galvin (under the title of Dom Oba II), was a military officer, nobleman and an important South American abolitionist during the rule of Pedro II of Brazil.
So, the "History of West Africa" was my FIRST source of information on the Ekiti-Parapo War. Samuel Johnson's book "The History of the Yoruba" became the SECOND major book that I read decades back which detailed the Kiriji War events of 1877 to 1893! I then gravitated towards other archival materials as well. It was in one of those books back in the early 1990s that I first saw General (Balogun) Ogedemgbe Agbogunboro's real photograph taken at Imesi Ile in the late 1880s. Sir Allan Burns who was the British Colonial Governor General of Nigeria and the Gold Coast also mentioned the Kiriji war in his iconic book, the "History of Nigeria."
Just like you said, the book was vivid and it evoked all kinds of emotions in me, (from shock, to anger, to a state of being sober). The internecine wars of the 1800s that led to major population shifts in Yorubaland as a result of the faltering Oyo Empire must NEVER be repeated and effective communication would have prevented those wars. With the internal civil wars, it made it easy for external aggressors from other lands to attack outlying Yoruba communities in Nigeria and Benin Republic. With modern tools of effective communication such as video conferencing, mobile phones, and the use of effective negotiation strategies, the Yorubas must never allow what happened in the 1800s to get repeated. The Kiriji War and other wars of the 1800s were major tectonic shifts in Yorubaland.
AngelGabbyShara: GOVERNOR OYEBANJI BACKS EKITI PARAPO WAR FILM PRODUCTION
The Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji, has taken a major step towards the production of a film on the iconic story of the famous EKITI PARAPO WAR. The film will capture the struggle and triumph of the Ekiti people against oppression.
Governor Oyebanji, at a meeting in Ado-Ekiti on Monday, approved a collaboration between the State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy and AL Notions Film Company owned by Nollywood couple, Lateef and Adebimpe Adedimeji for the film production.
The production, according to the Governor, would tell the story of the war in detail and would be a world-class production.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser on Media to the Governor, Yinka Oyebode, the project, which will be fully funded by the private sector, would be led by AL Notions Film Company, the producers of LISABI epic movie.
They will be working with a team from Ekiti State Ministry of Arts, Culture and Creative Economy, led by the Honourable Commissioner of the ministry, Professor Rasaki Ojo Bakare, one of Africa's most accomplished Artistic Directors.
Adebimpe Adedimeji, who hails from Ijero-Ekiti, together with her husband said they are excited about the opportunity to lead the project and pledged their unwavering commitment to the film project. They assured that the project will be given utmost attention, adding that the output will be top notch.
The 98-year-old legal luminary, Chief Afe Babalola's biological daughter, Bolanle Austen-Peters who is a lawyer is the founder of the famous TerraCulture on Victoria Island (and she's also an A-list movie producer with very good story lines of international standards). Her advice or input in the movie would be great since she's paternally of Ekiti descent.
The Ekiti Parapo War is one of the fascinating histories I've ever read about the military wars that took place in Yorubaland in the 1800s. The Ekiti Parapo Union was originally founded on Eko Island (Lagos Island) back in the late 1800s to purchase modern weapons from Lagos to prosecute the Ekiti Parapo War. So, the Ekitis who lived in Eko purchased these weapons and moved them to Ekiti. The Ekitis also manufactured gun powder and other military equipment to complement what they had to prosecute the war.
A lot of historical lessons from the 1800s must be learned by all to ensure that these errors of the past are NOT repeated. NOBODY should seek to dominate others. The Ekitis and their next door cousins the Ijesas had had enough of the dictatorship of some Ibadan military and political agents (such as Aare Latoosa) sent to Ekiti and this triggered the revolt.
Historically, the Ekiti Parapo War (otherwise known as the "Kiriji War" because of the sound the Ekiti canons made when fired) went on for 16 years due to Ibadan imperialism in Ijeshaland and Ekitiland. The famous Ijesa General Ogedemgbe Agbogunboro (who had served in the Ibadan army) was one of the military leaders of the revolt from Ijesa and Ekiti areas which had come under Ibadan Empire rule. A lot of Yoruba missionaries (such as the Anglican Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowther who was one of the Yoruba returnees from Sierra Leone) had to intervene to bring about peace with British assistance.

Akinpedia: Choosing the "best" board game for children's education is like picking a favourite colour – it's subjective and depends on the individual child and their learning style. However, both Scrabble and Chess offer unique and valuable educational benefits that can significantly contribute to a child's development. Let's delve deeper:
Scrabble: The Wordsmith's Delight
Vocabulary Expansion: Scrabble is an obvious winner here. Children are constantly exposed to new words, their definitions, and how they can be used in different contexts. Spelling and Grammar: Forming words correctly reinforces spelling rules and encourages children to pay attention to grammatical nuances. Cognitive Flexibility: Scrabble demands creative thinking. Players must constantly adapt their strategy based on available letters, the board state, and their opponent's moves. Problem-Solving: Finding high-scoring words requires strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Children learn to analyze situations and make the most of limited resources.
Chess: The Mind Game
Critical Thinking: Chess is renowned for its ability to sharpen critical thinking skills. Players must anticipate opponents' moves, plan multiple steps, and evaluate the consequences of their actions. Strategic Planning: Chess cultivates strategic planning and decision-making abilities. Children learn to weigh risks and rewards, identify patterns, and formulate winning strategies. Focus and Concentration: Playing chess requires sustained focus and concentration. Children learn to block out distractions and maintain mental stamina. Patience and Perseverance: Chess games can be long and challenging. Children learn the importance of patience, perseverance, and accepting setbacks.
The Verdict?
Ultimately, the "best" game depends on the child's individual interests and learning style.
For children who love language and enjoy creative wordplay: Scrabble is an excellent choice. For children who are more drawn to logic, strategy, and abstract thinking: Chess might be a better fit.
The Good News:
The beauty lies in the fact that both games offer valuable educational benefits. Why not introduce your child to both? You might be surprised at which one they gravitate towards and how much they enjoy the mental challenge.
Beyond the Board:
Both Scrabble and Chess can be played at various levels, making them suitable for children of all ages. They also provide opportunities for family bonding and social interaction.
Instead of choosing between these two fantastic games, consider incorporating both into your child's learning journey. They offer a unique blend of education and entertainment, fostering essential skills that will benefit them throughout their lives.
What are your thoughts?Which game do you think is more beneficial, or do you believe both offer equally valuable educational experiences? Share your opinions in the comments below!
Start off with scrabble then they can later gravitate towards chess on their way to becoming grandmasters of the game.
seunayantokun: Thank you for the update. The quoted wasn't my comment. I only pushed it up from the source of the story. Thank you for helping to bring up the truth.
@seunayantokun
My pleasure.
My bad, I apologize for the unintended misinterpretation. I read the main article from The Nation newspaper again and indeed found out that the newspaper referenced the alleged Northern bandits involvement speculation. Immediately I read two weeks ago on another thread that Arepo, Ikorodu and environs were experiencing kidnappings for ransom, I immediately knew it was the Ijaw criminal elements that had struck again in Yorubaland based off of past crime patterns around the creeks of Lagos, Ogun and Ondo States.
Christistruth02: You forgot you dropped your Christian name Matthew and asked to be called Ebola Owu instead
Don’t tell everybody what they already know
You wife Mrs Taiwo Obasanjo already spilled all the beans about you and your Ogboni Fraternity and she warned everyone to never make the mistake of attending your parties if they wanted to live long
His former wife is Mrs Taiwo Obasanjo (nee. Martins), and she's the twin sister of Chief Kenny Martins.
Second, you are rehashing incorrect information here based off of wild speculations from Taiwo Obasanjo. She unfortunately has that habit of making speculative statements sometimes, so it's completely wrong for you to speak in absolute terms by accusing OBJ in your last paragraph.
You guys have to be guarded when quoting from other sources that are geared towards soft sell stories like this toriNG publication.
Besides, if you've gained personal mastery and ascendancy, you will realize that it's NOT an accident that people are born into specific regions and cultures of this planet as babies, getting to practice the religions of the families they were born into and as some grow older, the leave the religions they were born into because they have outgrown what they knew in the past and developed a higher state of awareness and consciousness.
I want you to think deeply... For many of the dead ancestors who NEVER practiced Xtianity or Islam, etc, are you religious folks implying they would all go to a "lake of sulfur, fire, and brimstone called hell fire?" OBVIOUSLY NOT, because the so-called "hell fire" is used metaphorically (or allegorical) here due to the FACT that all refuse or wastes used to disposed outside the gates of Jerusalem and a MIX of "sulfur, fire, and brimstone" was used to burn all the wastes or refuse. So, "hell fire" doesn't exist BUT was developed as a bible metaphor for striking fear into people. My decades of comparative religion studies have enabled me to have advanced knowledge of how the orthodox religions you have today were created by men with doctrines and so-called scriptures that embarrassingly CONTRADICT one another from page to page OR celebrate gory murders... Those can't be called "holy books." There's a lot I would have said about the "astrotheological" origins or roots of orthodox religions and modern Christianity based off of the Sun veneration (which is why Sunday is devoted as the day for Sun God worship from ancient times) but I will stop here because I've got limited time to spend on this Website.
LegendHero: Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has said although he is Christian, he does not joke with Ifa.
The Ifa divination system, which makes use of an extensive corpus of texts and mathematical formulas, is practised among traditional worshippers in Yoruba communities. Ifa refers to the mystical figure perceived as the deity of wisdom and intellectual development.
He particularly said the Yoruba culture must be guided because it’s “authentic.”
“When I was growing up, there are two things that you don’t imagine a woman should do. You cannot see a woman climbing a palm tree. Secondly, you cannot see a woman playing talking drum, Ara had broken the taboo and she had done it very well.”
The former president said the lesson in what Ara had done is that one must do whatever he or she is doing very well.
“We must not joke with our culture. We are being relegated to the background, our language is being relegated, our food, our dress and others. We must not allow it. They are things that are authentic. Yoruba is not vernacular.”
Obasanjo maintained that despite being a Christian, he hasn’t forgotten his culture.
“I am a Christian, I had attended two churches today and that does not mean that I should forget my culture. Whoever says Ifa is nothing, I will say that person is a big fool.
“Before Christianity and Islam, we have Ifa Orunmila meaning Olorun lo mo eni to ma la “It is Heaven that knows who will be saved,” he said.
Even in Cuba, Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago, the United States, Venezuela, etc, there's a very strong retention of the Yoruba culture and religion with almost 10,000 practicing Babalawos (OR Ifa Priests) in existence in Cuba alone with both White folks and those of Afro-Cuban descent from. Havana, Matanzas, and elsewhere.
MasterJayJay: The police on Thursday confirmed the rescue of Mrs. A. Odumosu, one of the wives of retired Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Hakeem Odumosu, who was kidnapped by masked gunmen on January 16.
Mrs. Odumosu, the police said, was rescued around 6:45 am, at a creek in Ikorodu, adding that two of her kidnappers were killed in battle while the N10 million paid as ransom was recovered.
The woman was whisked away by the gunmen from her Aminu Street, Orange Estate residence at Arepo around 9:55 pm as she was about to drive into her compound in a Lexus Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV).
Her kidnappers, who exhibited mastery of the terrain, took her through the creeks into the Ishawo/Ikorodu forest, an area that has remained a haven for armed militants and bandits.
It was gathered that the kidnappers earlier demanded N40 million ransom but the amount was later negotiated downward and an amount paid as bait while detectives from Ogun State Police Command in collaboration with Intelligence and Technical experts from the Force Headquarters decoded their possible location.
Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi who confirmed her rescue in a statement, noted that the criminals were planning their next operation when operatives stormed their location inside the creek, adding that four Ak-47 rifles, three locally made single barrel rifles and ammunition of various calibers were also recovered.
Kidnapping at Arepo, Ibafo, Warewa, Fatola, Elepete, Ishawo, Ijede, Ijedodo, Epe, and environs had continued unabated for years no thanks to the difficulty in navigating the swampy terrains.
The above fact, coupled with the lack of swamp buggies to frequently pull down those mangroves to open up the creeks, as well as the easy access these criminals have to navigate the shallow waters into different communities without being chased by security operatives were also contributory factors.
Also, the fact that these communities play host to the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited’s (NNPCL) Systems 2B pipelines, made them a beehive of militants whose stock-in-trade was pipeline vandalism until they found kidnapping to be lucrative following the shutdown of the flow station in 2015.
Until their venture into senseless kidnappings, raping, and killing of innocent populace, the militants inhabited a world of their own.
They hoisted flags and dug boreholes with links to underground NNPC pipelines located kilometres away from where they raked in millions of naira daily.
The eventual suspension of the System 2B pipeline operation denied the criminals access to the oil millions, hence their resort to terrorising the residents, decimating their livestock, raiding shops, raping women and children, stealing money, kidnapping for ransom, and murdering some of the landlords in cold blood.
Aside from Mrs. Odumosu, a Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) member in Warewa was also kidnapped last year while she was returning from service. There was also the case of the Isheri landlords- Kennedy Ucheagwu, Dr Omololu Bello, Fidelis Esan,g and trainer Olalere Olawale who were kidnapped from their estate in 2016.
Four junior secondary students of the Lagos State Model College, Igbonla in Epe, Abu, Emmanuel Okonkwo, Jeremiah Rut,h and Isaac Adebisi as well as their Vice Principal, A.O. Oyesola, English teacher, Lukman Oyerinde, three women and a six-month-old baby, Toyosi Aboderin, Ogechi Maku, Toju Amorighoye and Funniyi Tayo Lawal (baby), were all abducted at Epe.
At Agbowa, Ikorodu, Alhaji Oyebanji Wasiu, Alhaji Isiaka Owolabi and Abiodun Adeniyi, all farmers, were kidnapped and their abductors, who collected N22 million ransom, killed Adeniyi afterwards.
An RCCG pastor, Kayode Bajomo, the Iba monarch, Oba Goriola Oseni, several landlords at Iba Housing Estate and three female students of Babington Macaulay Junior Seminary (BMJS)-Funmi Ogunmefun, Oluwatimileyin Olusa and Deborah Akinayo, were also kidnapped by these gunmen whose enclave was in the creeks bordering Arepo/Ishawo/Epe and environs.
There were also security operatives including five policemen, nine operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and unspecified number of naval personnel who fell victims to these criminals.
Most of the security operatives, The Nation gathered, were killed and buried in shallow graves. However, no one has been able to confirm the locations of the graves nor have their bodies been returned to their families for proper burial.
Although these murderous gangs were initially suspected to be militants who fled the military onslaught from the oil-producing Niger Delta regions, revelations from some of the kidnapped victims who regained freedom showed that most of the gunmen were fleeing terrorists from the north discussed as herders.
Alluding to this fact on his X account while replying to a follower who urged the police to ensure the fleeing culprits were apprehended, Adejobi wrote: “We will. It’s not easy to navigate the swampy area/creeks. However, we have taken some steps in that regard. The men who carried out the rescue operation did well…”
seunayantokun: 2nd to the last paragraph: 'Although these murderous gangs were initially suspected to be militants who fled the military onslaught from the oil-producing Niger Delta regions, revelations from some of the kidnapped victims who regained freedom showed that most of the gunmen were fleeing terrorists from the north discussed (sic. It should be "described" ) as herders'
This situation has absolutely NOTHING to do with Fulani bandits or herds men.
Police Arrest Two Suspected Kidnappers Of Ex-AIG Odumosu’s Wife
They are Ijaw bandits who confessed to the crime. Read my posts and attached videos on this same thread page for MORE evidence that Northerners are NOT involved here. The allusions to a Northern involvement in this vicious crime are simply a DECOY to divert suspicion to the usual Ijaw involvement in this kinds of kidnapping crimes usually committed through the waterways and they escape as well using speedboats through the same waterways of Lagos, Ogun and Ondo States.
adaxme: Yoruba are too fetish for their own good ..
Most of their doing is connected to the underworld..from politics, music, banking . And they also have Illuminati membership for kinsfolk
Learn to be more analytical and read properly NEXT time before talking about any topic. This will save you from embarrassments down the road.
The 2nd video from Channels Television of May 1, 2015 vividly shows these evil Ijaw criminals (who came from majorly Bayless and Delta States) walking boldly in daylight in Arepo, Ogun State right in Yorubaland shooting guns into the air. They had charms tied to the bodies so that gave them the confidence to walk around BUT the Nigerian Air Force jet fighters were used to bomb the living daylights out of more than 100 of them who died and absolute peace was restored to Lagos, Ogun, and Ondo States!
This crime of kidnapping has absolutely NOTHING to do with the Yorubas like you incorrectly and unwisely stated, BUT these relentless kidnappings and criminality are being carried out by IJAW criminals who have for several years now (from time to time) engaged in kidnappings for ransom and bank robberies around the creeks of Arepo, and even Victoria Island and Ikoyi while escaping in speedboat through the waterways. A lot of crimes that are committed in the Western part of Nigeria based on credible crime statistics that are available to me for years now are done by non-Yoruba folks (due to the cosmopolitan nature of Yoruba cities where people from other parts of the world and Nigeria come to hustle or do formal international business) especially the Ibos, Ijaws, and Fulani criminals being in the top 3 over the decades from vicious luxury bus attacks, to bank robberies, kidnappings, rapes, etc).
It's the same strand of criminals among the IJAWS that carried out this kidnapping for ransom and outright rapes, murders, and armed robberies right from when Goodluck Jonathan was the Nigerian President and his government lacked the political will to smoke these Ijaws bandits hiding in camps within the creeks of Arepo close to highbrow neighborhoods. It took President Buhari's intervention after Governor Ambode had briefed him about the vicious kidnapping of the Oba of Iba Kingdom in Lagos State, for Nigerian Air Force airstrikes to be carried out on the camps where they even had rocket propelled guns attached to their boats as can be seen in the 3rd video below.

Omoawoke: Kidnappers from South south people, I thought the military bombed them in that region… are they back again?
Yes... Those insidious and unfortunateIjaw criminals are back again along the creeks of the Western States.
The idiots among the Ijaws who have all along been the ones perpetrating these crimes in the creeks of areas such as Arepo, Isheri North and Ikorodu, etc, right in Yorubaland and they are indeed back like they did with impunity during the Goodluck Jonathan Presidency. Watch how confident the Ijaw boys all were in the 2nd video while the walked with automatic weapons through the estate in Arepo close to their Arepo Creek hideout.
Watch the video BELOW of the surviving Ijaw Kidnappers (who also engaged in brutal killings, armed robberies and rapes) said they came from the Arogbo IJAW axis. Most of these bandits from the past arrests made since 2016 (after former Governor Akinwunmi Amadeus had briefed the Presidency about the massive spikes in kidnapping and armed robberies from these Ijaw criminal elements and orders were given by President Buhari in July 2016 for the ruthless bombing of the Arepo creeks by the Nigerian Air Force jet fighters) are really from Bayelsa and Delta States.
The Governors of Lagos, Ogun, and Ondo States have to wake up and ensure that Nigerian Air Force air surveillance aircraft are used to monitor the tough creek terrains regularly and if just like in 2016, the Nigerian Air Force detects activities of these Ijaw bandits, they MUST go right ahead a bomb them out again. Horrible things happened during the Goodluck Jonathan Presidency when these evil Ijaw bandits humiliated residents of highbrow areas of Lagos and Ogun States (Isheri North and more) raping women during vicious armed robbery operations and kidnapping victims for ransom including the first-class Oba of Iba Kingdom in Lagos State.

Almiron: President Trump fumed on Sunday after Colombia turned back two US military flights carrying deported migrants — vowing to impose sanctions and an “emergency 25% tariff” on the South American country.
“I was just informed that two repatriation flights from the United States, with a large number of Illegal Criminals, were not allowed to land in Colombia,” Trump wrote Sunday.
“This order was given by Colombia’s Socialist President Gustavo Petro, who is already very unpopular amongst his people,” he said, adding that Petro’s decision has “jeopardized the National Security and Public Safety of the United States.”
In response, the president said he would enacted the “emergency 25% tariffs on all goods coming into the United States,” adding that it would be raised to 50% in a week.
He also called for a travel ban, visa revocations on Colombian government officials, visa sanctions on party members and government supporters, enhanced customs and border protection inspections of any Colombian national and banking and financial sanctions.

Emezu in the letter dated September 11, 2024, lamented Officer’s Ejike’s role in his client’s predicament, adding that Ijele Speaks’ situation had become a critical one that urgently required the IGP’s intervention to prevent a potential tragedy.
He lamented the detention of Ijele Speaks following a petition filed by Evangelist Ebuka Obi, accusing the blogger of criminal intimidation, threat to life, cyberstalking, and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.
Emezu, in the letter said, “On May 8, 2024, Mr. Ofoegbu was illegally transferred to Lagos by Police Officer Ejike Peter from Abia State.
“Officer Peter, clearly acting out of personal vendetta, cited fraudulent charges from IPOB members and transferred Mr. Ofoegbu to Justice Aluko at the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos.
“While in Lagos, Mr. Ofoegbu was granted bail, but despite meeting the bail conditions on several occasions, the authorities refused to release him.
“This deliberate refusal was a delay tactic to keep him detained, in preparation for his eventual transfer to Awka, Anambra State—another dangerous stronghold of IPOB.”
The lawyer’s said his client’s “health had deteriorated significantly”.
“It is in Ikoyi Prison, where prison staff sympathetic to IPOB and influenced by Mr. Obi’s Zion Ministries, systematically poisoned Mr. Ofoegbu.
“Within days, this led to the catastrophic failure of both of his kidneys. Sir, this was not a coincidence, but a deliberate act designed to cripple and silence him.
“He suffered multiple cardiac arrests and only narrowly survived, thanks to the intervention of a compassionate prison officer who alerted his family.
“It was after this intervention, vis-a-viz, that Chukwuka has alerted his family that the prison authority dubiously and hurriedly sent him to a hospital, located in Lagos where he would be diagnosed of kidney failure,” he said. SaharaReporters
There's NO trouble In the entire GAC. Musiliu Obanikoro simply made an observation about Chief Anthony Adefuye's comments which he found highly disagreeable.
Mccullum: He's more of lamentation than advising his people. When they are out of power, they becomes critics of their region and ruling party.
I'm glad you and I spotted CLEARLY the bullshit that this guy named Usman Yusuf (who is a Fulani) was spewing out of his twisted mouth. He's trying to deflect attention from the real situation on the ground and the FACT that Hausas are rising against Fulanis due to attacks on them by foreign Fulanis on their original Hausa homelands. The major intelligence agencies have to keep an eye on him and even invite this dude to know why he had to embellish his speech to the Northern youths with inciting comments.
This former NHIA boss is one of the few highly irresponsible Fulanis making inciting comments around and in this case to the Northern Youths organization knowing full well that many indigenous Hausas have now risen up (in some videos I've seen) to severely condemn the illegal infiltrations into Nigeria of more displaced Fulanis from other West African countries and the several acts of Fulanis to kill and displace them (the Hausas from their ancestral homelands in Northern Nigeria).
We Hausa's Are Not Your Fulani Slaves In Northern Nigeria
As to his FALSE and idiotic claims that former President Buhari did NOTHING for the Old North during his Presidency, several bridges were constructed and the Kano-Katsina-Maradi railway line was initiated by Buhari. Construction is ongoing now on the Abuja-Kaduna-Kano expressway with 6 new contractors handling the project simultaneously to speed up the project delivery for delivery in 2026!
The Lakurawas are foreign Tuaregs from Niger Republic or Mali operating criminally in Nigeria, so how can this creep suggest that Tuaregs are "our people" Northerners.
dkidd: Lol this one small.. the one I saw on IG her face turn eba and her friend ask am she say na accident, later she say na her King 👑 just beat am small but him no really means am cos she go dey open him phone 😂😂😂
Bobodee09: “Going against my husband’s orders was what led to my husband’s actions. He has never done a thing to me like this since we got married. After the incident, he has taken me to the hospital in Warri for treatment.
https://m.youtube.com/shorts/Rf5rHQHVlTM A very hilarious video right above... A lot of these low-status females endure a lot of B.S. from dodgy dudes they shouldn't be with tbh.
UncleAyo: Sharia law is a relic of the past that has no place in a modern and progressive society like Yorubaland. It is a system that promotes backwardness, undermines justice, and stifles cultural and societal development. Historically, the Yoruba people have thrived on their Omoluabi ethos—values of integrity, progressiveness, and respect for humanity. Sharia law contradicts these principles and threatens the foundation of our heritage.
The government must take a firm stand against individuals or groups advocating for the imposition of Sharia law in Yorubaland. It is crucial to investigate and monitor clerics who push this agenda, as many of them are likely influenced by external forces seeking to destabilize our region. These individuals should be held accountable, and where necessary, prosecuted, as their actions endanger the unity and progress of our people.
Clerics championing Sharia law should focus on meaningful contributions to society rather than exploiting religion as a means to manipulate and scam the vulnerable. Yorubaland has always been a beacon of innovation, education, and cultural pride, and we must not allow regressive ideologies to erode the progress built by our ancestors. Those who insist on practicing Sharia law are encouraged to relocate to regions or countries where it is already established, rather than impose it on communities that reject it.
The example of northern Nigeria, where Sharia law is practiced, provides a clear warning. Despite its implementation, the region has not recorded any significant progress attributable to the law. Instead, it has created a system of inequality, where the poor and vulnerable are oppressed while the powerful and corrupt evade justice. No northern governor or political elite has ever faced Sharia's full weight, exposing its inherent flaws and hypocrisy.
Yorubaland must stand united against the infiltration of these regressive ideologies. We must protect our cultural heritage, foster progress, and ensure that the Omoluabi values remain the guiding principles of our society. The future of Yorubaland lies in education, inclusivity, and innovation—not in the adoption of archaic laws that have repeatedly failed to deliver justice or development.
