Odewaleadesoye:This is what Futurists documented and talked about many decades ago based off of research findings and it panned out. More miniature gadgets are coming due to the evolution of nanotechnologies. |
Capitas7:@Capitas7, my pleasure. Indeed, Ugodre is eloquent and one of the best financial markets analysts out there. The Naira will largely be stable based off of the emerging economic indices available. |

LoanShark:Indeed, the real world summations above on "global debit orders" are fair enough. This is why conversely, I CLEARLY stated in my post for a change in that loan app business model because it's NOT a sustainable business model in times of global hyperinflation due to the high interest rates charged without collaterals. This leads to more people defaulting on loans payments. A non-interest charging model for small business financing is the best bet with the sharing of profits earned. Besides this, some people are notorious for defaulting on loans repayments (From posts I've read on this Website, some people without sustainable sources of income borrow money from one loan app to repay the debts owed to other loan apps thereby raking in more debts) and you need rock-solid guarantees to mitigate any potential loan defaults down the road. |
God1000:That's impressive. Vice-President Jane Opoku-Agyemang has a stellar resume... I wish her the best. I like the way President John Dramani Mahama of Ghana in the second video wore the Kente-styled Yoruba cap in combination with the Agbada wear made of Kente-styled fabrics with Adinkra symbols printed on it. That is a very creative way of celebrating Ghana and his family connections with Nigeria (Offa in Kwara State). I've never seen that kind of creative bespoke male fashion design until yesterday. |
kettykin:First off, Lagos State is NOT living on any borrowed time. It's a figment of your sick and warped imagination which shows that people like you from among the Ibos are very dangerous agents of division on Nairaland (and other social media platforms). I've seen your hateful posts for years now on this Website and I'm telling you how I see you for the very FIRST time ever today! Lagos State is a state that is located directly on the prime Atlantic Ocean coastal region of West Africa with borders connecting it with the rest of West African countries for sustainable nternational business linkages and you stupidly say that Lagos is finished? That's the biggest B.S. I've read within the last 3-5 months from any Ibo person. Second, Aliko Dangote isn't moving his HQ anywhere. Your highly irresponsible falsehoods here is uncalled for and some of you Ibos keep leaving your digital trails or online footprints of highly toxic hate speech all over the Internet for all to see how overbearing and impressionable some of you are. These inciting posts will be used as evidence against you all in courts of law as defamers and trouble makers eventually just like the BBC Global Disinformation Team's 2022 investigative video documentary CLEARLY exposed the video images and open threats by male and female members of ipob living in Europe openly calling for the beheadings and killings of named innocent Ibos living in Eastern Nigeria which were eventually carried out, and the criminality of ipob leaders (such as Nnamdi who introduced Simon Ekpa in that same video as a member his group) who recruited thousands of paid members living in several named countries of the world to constitute "online troll farms" posting Disinformation, fake news and inciting hate speech in order to destabilize Nigeria and quickly trigger ethnic wars (with the laptops and Internet data bought for them) on several internet platforms such as FB, YouTube, X, and many of you were hired to register many fake NL monikers as paid ipob online troll farms right here on Nairaland posting obvious disinformation, hate speech and derailing threads. Third, there are currently many exclusive beach resorts still in existence right in Lagos State that are owned by well-known, silent multimillionaire and billionaire investors among the Yoruba folks who don't go about bragging. Matter-of-factly, 4 of such beach resorts fully owned by Yorubas were affected in the 2024 demolitions unlike the Landmark guy whose main building structure wasn't affected... Only the beachfront was demolished because it was illegally sited there and encroached on the right of way of the new Lagos to Calabar Coastal Road. The multimillion USD Mami Chula Beach Resort owned by a wealthy Yoruba investor was completely demolished. Lastly but not least, there will be "NO chaos" whatsoever If those businesses you stated above leave. The Yoruba folks who number over 60 million people worldwide with a very strong Diaspora population in multiple economic and population centers in Europe, North America and other areas worldwide as professionals in global finance, medicine, the tech ecosystem and international business to mention a few can NEVER suffer and will invest billions into Lagos State and Yorubaland while continuing to partner with globally responsible citizens of the world to drive development for the good of all. Right on the Forbes list of USD billionaires are 4 men of Yoruba descent (with Nigerian and Nigerian-American citizenships) alone out of the total of 6 men of Nigerian descent on Forbes list of USD billionaires, including the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. Period. |
beyep:That's a very tacky, long, floor-sweeping hair style. Short to shoulder-length hairstyles are the maximum I will recommend for any woman. |
LoanShark:First off, these app loan defaulters have BVNs, so, that can be used to track any inflow of cash into their other banks, so, as to ensure they pay the loans back. Second, more importantly, this loan apps business model is NOT sustainable to me because they charge extremely high interest rates on short-term loans (without collaterals) and knowing full well that some Nigerians are notorious for not paying back (credible statistics show that female small business entrepreneurs generally pay back loans on time more than men). Third, a better business model to adopt for these loan apps owners can be to adopt the non-interest or Islamic banking type of investment where a person who wants a loan can apply through an app, you fund the business and you share the profits. You don't have to call it Islamic banking just simply non-interest loan apps that involve profit sharing. For smaller loan requirements, ONLY give out funds to those who are existing salary earners. I'm a man who believes in sharing disruptive innovative ideas and solutions from time to time. If the current loan app method continues with these high interest rates, many people will certainly default and the loan app business will collapse! Last but not least, the Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) had warned loan apps against harassing borrowers since 2023: Actions against non-compliant operators. The FCCPC will take action against operators that don't comply with regulations, including: 1] Blocking their apps from the Google and Apple stores. 2] Blocking their accounts through the CBN 3] Taking law enforcement action |

Felix Morka, the National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has refuted allegations by former presidential candidate Peter Obi, describing them as “malicious lies” and an attempt to gain public sympathy through “emotional blackmail.” The controversy erupted after Obi claimed on his official X handle that Morka had issued veiled threats against him and his family during a televised interview. “Nothing in my statement constitutes or suggests a threat to Mr Obi or anyone,” Morka asserted. “This deliberate misrepresentation by Obi is a dangerous ploy to play the victim and incite public outrage against me.” Morka went further, accusing Obi of perpetuating a culture of misinformation and hypocrisy. He pointed out that the policies Obi had criticised the Tinubu administration for implementing—abolishing fuel subsidies, unifying the exchange rate, and boosting production over consumption—were the same reforms Obi had promised during his presidential campaign. “Obi’s constant flip-flops demonstrate a disturbing lack of principled commitment,” Morka declared. “By altering his stance to suit his political interests and the drumbeats of his vocal online supporters, he undermines his credibility and raises serious concerns about his leadership capabilities.” Morka also took aim at Obi’s supporters, accusing them of orchestrating online harassment and issuing death threats against critics. He lamented that Obi had not condemned these actions, implying tacit approval of the “restless band of online mobs” who attack dissenting voices. “Obi must think himself to be Nigeria’s sacred cow—beyond reproach and always right,” Morka said. “Nigeria deserves opposition leaders who uphold principle and engage in fact-based critiques, not barefaced indulgence in manipulative politics.” Morka hinted at possible legal action, stating that Obi’s claims had damaged his reputation and endangered his family. “By falsely accusing me of threatening his life, Mr Obi has libeled me in the extreme and incited his followers to issue threats against my family. This is unacceptable,” he warned. Morka called on Obi to retract his statement, set the record straight, and rein in his supporters. “The trust of the Nigerian people is sacred, and Obi’s tactics of deceit and manipulation must be called out. Accountability is a two-way street, and I stand ready to defend my integrity with every available recourse,” Morka concluded. https://pmnewsnigeria.com/2025/01/07/morka-fires-back-peter-obis-threat-claims-are-malicious-lies/ |
Biznesworld:This is invasive and unethical. There should be better ways to "take down" these loan defaulters and ensure they are held accountable. |
dre11:This is pure financial recklessness that went on as of 2021 in NNPCL. You have to follow laid down procedures for all authorisations and approvals in any organization to maintain financial integrity of any company. |
