@Padipadi

Indeed, I was surprised seeing the moniker that you quoted typing incorrectly that the Timi of Ede isn't an Oba. The Timi of Ede (David "Davido" Adeleke's hometown) is an Oba. All Obas of Yoruba descent in places such as Usen (The Olu Aware of Usen) in Ovia South West LGA of Edo State, to Kwara and Kogi States in North Central Nigeria, to the South West of Nigeria, right into Benin Republic and Togo ALL have local kingship titles based on their geographical locations, but they are all Obas of the various kingdoms.

Second, your #4 bullet point is incorrect. I have decades of advanced knowledge in this field of historical research. The Oba of Benin Palace's revisionist history of Oduduwa did NOT start in 2023 but it started back in the early 2000s (2004) from the time of Oba Erediauwa of Benin who is the biological father of the current Oba Ewuare II. Fortunately the so-called Ekaladerhan story was debunked as a FABRICATION by the Ogiamien family who are descended from the Ogiso era before the Oranmiyan Dynasty started in Benin over 800 years ago. Ekaladerhan was NEVER a missing prince from the Ogiso era. The real Ekaladerhan died at Ugboton. These interviews granted by the Ogiamien family representative in Guardian newspaper in 2018 and elsewhere are still online and can be read in the links right BELOW. It was political reasons that led the Palace under Oba Erediauwa of Benin to come up with that misleading piece of junk in form of a now discredited book! The Oba of Benin's Palace owes the over 60 million people of Yoruba descent worldwide and the whole world a major apology for those historical fabrications which have lowered them in the eyes of discerning folks who do NOT compromise on facts. The history of Benin Empire, Ile Ife and Oyo Empire are popular internationally and these kinds of fabrications led to confusions for a lot of people and students searching for genuine historical information online.

1] Ogiso and Ogiamien are Aborigine Binis while Oba Of Benin is of Yoruba origin
=>https://guardian.ng/features/ogiso-and-ogiamien-are-aborigine-binis-while-oba-of-benin-is-of-yoruba-descent-high-chief-esotericist-monday-wehere/

2] Ogiamien Vs Oba of Benin: Royal rumble ends
=>https://tribuneonlineng.com/ogiamien-vs-oba-of-benin-royal-rumble-ends/

A second major BLOW to that fabricated Benin Palace story which again corroborates the accuracy of Yoruba history comes from Usen (formerly called Ife Kekere) located in Edo State near Benin which currently has the Olu Aware of Usen, Oba Oluogbe on the throne and he is who is a direct descendant of Afelogiyan (Oranmiyan's biological older brother). Both Oranmiyan and Afelogiyan were Oduduwa's grandsons (NOT sons as incorrectly stated by the current Oba of Benin) and Oduduwa was originally from Oke Ora just 8 miles away from the current Ufe (Ile Ife) before he arrived in Ife over 900 years ago (which already had people existing there who are the direct ancestors of the current Olugbo of Ugbo Kingdom in the oil-and-gas rich Ilaje area of Ondo State). This is the reason why during the coronation ceremonies every Ooni of Ife has to go to Oke Ora, just 8 miles from Ife where Oduduwa originally hailed from. According to the articles and advanced works of the great historians Prof. Jide Osuntokun and Prof. Banji Akintoye, there were already several autochtonous communities in Yorubaland centuries before Oduduwa was born, so, he wasn't the ORIGINAL ancestor of all Yorubas of today. He is just the direct ancestor OR progenitor of the major Kings of Yoruba descent from Usen in Edo, Olu of Warri in Itsekiriland, to the Oba of Benin, right into the other parts of Yorubaland in North Central and South West of Nigeria, including the Yoruba-speaking areas of Benin Republic and Togo.

The people of Usen, Egbeta and Utese in Ovia South West LGA of Edo State have NEVER denied their Ile Ife ancestry and the family greetings or salutations where ever they are is "delauhe" meaning "how is Ufe or Ife?). A well respected gentleman granted a video interview where he CLEARLY stated that Usen plays a MAJOR role in the coronation ceremony of every Oba of Benin and he stated bluntly that all the traditional titles such as the Ile Ife High Chief title of Asogbon which is also used in Usen and called Esogban in Benin and more in the Palace of the Oba of Benin and Yoruba deities such as Ogun, Osun, Olowu, etc, that you find in Benin are ALL from Ile Ife in the current Osun State. Even in Benin, the lineages that trace their direct paternal family roots to Ufe (Ife) use "delauhe" as their unique morning family salutations. The Oba of Benin is greeted with the salutation "lamogun" which refers to Ogun, the Yoruba deity of War and Iron. The Oba is the only one who is greeted with "lamogun."

In fact the Oduduwa Dynasty is the 3rd Dynasty and other dynasties existed before Oduduwa indicating that Yorubaland had been settled by the ancestors of Yorubas for thousands of years based off of archaeological evidence and this fact can be gleaned from the works and articles of the respected historian and former Nigerian ambassador to Germany, Prof. Jide Osuntokun and Prof. Banji Akintoye. It was from Usen in Ovia South West LGA of Edo State that Oranmiyan went to what is now Benin over 800 years ago to become the FIRST ever Oba. As we know from history, he later left Benin for Ufe (Ife) [and even established Oyo Kingdom which rose to become the mighty Oyo Empire] after having a son (Oba Eweka) from an aboriginal daughter of a noble man and Eweka became the second Oba of Benin. So, paternally the Obas of Benin descended from an Ife (Yoruba) paternal lineage through Oranmiyan but have direct maternal roots to the aboriginal people.

I’ve just received the heart warming news that my sister Hon. Mojisola Meranda has been sworn-in as the first female speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly.

I am thrilled & excited that providence has provided her a bigger platform to serve the good people of Lagos State.

I pray to Almighty Allah, to give her wisdom, strength and courage to discharge her duties without fear or favour.

Amen!

For a 45-year-old, she's got to hit the gym if that is her current body size in the attached picture for health-related reasons (However, she's pretty though). Her resume is OK with a second Masters degree in view, and she was fortunate to be in the right place at the right time.
SportsRe: Over 100 Athletes Return Damaged Medals From Paris 2024 Olympics by Konquest: 11:41am On Jan 14, 2025
sunky97:
The Paris 2024 Olympic Games were meant to be a celebration of athletic excellence, unity, and global pride. But just five months after the closing ceremonies, the event has been marred by an unexpected controversy: more than 100 disgruntled athletes have returned their medals, citing damage and rust.

The medals, produced by the prestigious Paris Mint (Monnaie de Paris), were supposed to be timeless symbols of achievement. Instead, they’ve become a source of frustration for athletes who worked tirelessly to earn them. According to reports from *La Lettre*, the issue stems from the use of substandard varnish, which has caused the medals to deteriorate rapidly.

A Glittering Prize Gone Wrong
The problem first came to light when American skateboarder Nyjah Houston and French swimmer Maxime Grusset, both bronze medalists at the Games, shared images of their damaged medals on social media. Houston, who won his medal in skateboarding, posted a photo of his prize just 10 days after the competition. The medal was already chipping and peeling, with visible signs of wear.

“Alright, so these Olympic medals look great when they’re brand new,” Houston wrote, “but after letting it sit on my skin with some sweat for a little bit and then letting my friends wear it over the weekend, they’re apparently not as high quality as you would think.” He added, “I mean, look at that thing. It’s looking rough. Even the front. It’s starting to chip off a little. So yeah, I don’t know, Olympic medals, you maybe gotta step up the quality a little bit.”

French Olympians Clément Secchi and Yohann Ndoye-Brouard, who won bronze in the 4x100-metre medley relay, also took to social media to showcase their deteriorating medals. The images sparked outrage among athletes and fans alike, raising questions about the quality control processes at the Paris Mint.

Behind the Scenes: A Breakdown in Quality
The Paris Mint, a centuries-old institution known for its craftsmanship, has come under fire for the mishap. In response to the controversy, the organization reportedly dismissed three senior officials: the industrial director, production director, and head of quality, health, safety, and environment.

The root of the problem appears to be the varnish used to protect the medals. Instead of preserving their luster, the substandard coating has led to rapid deterioration, leaving athletes with medals that look more like relics than cherished mementos.

A Symbolic Letdown
For athletes, an Olympic medal is more than just a piece of metal—it’s a lifelong symbol of dedication, sacrifice, and triumph. To see that symbol tarnished so quickly has been deeply disappointing.

“It’s not just about the medal itself,” one athlete anonymously told reporters. “It’s about what it represents. When you stand on that podium, you feel like you’ve achieved something immortal. But when the medal starts falling apart a few weeks later, it feels like that moment is being taken away from you.”

What’s Next?
The Paris Mint has yet to release an official statement addressing the issue, but the dismissals of key personnel suggest that internal investigations are underway. Meanwhile, athletes are calling for replacements or repairs to their medals, hoping to restore the integrity of their hard-earned prizes.

The incident has also sparked a broader conversation about the quality of Olympic medals. While the design and materials of the medals are often celebrated, this controversy highlights the importance of durability and craftsmanship. After all, these medals are meant to last a lifetime—not just a few weeks.

A Lesson Learned
The Paris 2024 Games will undoubtedly be remembered for their breathtaking moments and record-breaking performances. But they’ll also be remembered for this unexpected hiccup—a reminder that even the smallest details matter when it comes to honoring the world’s greatest athletes.

As the Olympic movement looks ahead to future Games, one thing is clear: the medals must be as enduring as the achievements they represent.

What do you think about this medal mishap? Should the Paris Mint do more to rectify the situation? Share your thoughts!
Rusty Olympic medals.
Daily Mail
They are made of ordinary metals anyways... Just simply "electroplated" with gold, silver and bronze coatings with vanishing added for stability. It's apt that 3 senior officials of the Paris Mint have been dismissed for the bad production quality of those medals.
PoliticsRe: Cashless Tolling Begins On Keffi-Akwanga-Lafai-Markurdi Road This Thursday by Konquest: 10:52am On Jan 14, 2025

A construction company, China Harbour Engineering Company Nigeria Limited has announced that cashless tolling system will commence on the Keffi-Akwanga-Lafia-Markurdi express way on Thursday, the 16th of January, 2025.

WriterNig:
US Vice President Kamala Harris' Los Angeles home was placed under an evacuation order Tuesday night, her press secretary confirmed, as the Palisades fire blazed through acres of the city.

Approximately 130,000 Los Angeles residents are under evacuation orders and while the former Democratic presidential candidate owns a home in an evacuation zone, she does not reside there while in office.

Newsweek has reached out to the White House press team for comment via email on Thursday.

The Los Angeles fires have rapidly expanded, burning thousands of acres as new blazes continue to ignite. As well as the five people reported dead, hundreds of structures have been reduced to ashes, according to The Associated Press.

The Palisades fire, which is the largest of the blazes has been burning since the morning of January 7. Located in a predominantly affluent area, it has forced the evacuation of thousands, including several celebrities. Vice President Kamala Harris, who serves as second in command, would have been among them had she been residing in her home.

The fire, along with the others, have placed 130,000 people across the city to be under evacuation orders.

Newsweek
But there are bigger—far bigger—factors at play in the disaster, factors that have less to do with local politics and institutional preparedness and more to do with the existential matter of a planet grown sickly from climate change.

Here is the reality: The very metabolism of the Earth has been thrown off by an atmosphere choking on greenhouse gasses, and it will take more than political bickering to set things right. Another reality: Fixing the problem first requires understanding—and, even more fundamentally, accepting—the science. Only then can we implement policies and put in place protocols that help us both reduce the likelihood of more such crises and minimize the death and destruction when they ultimately do occur.

PressMyButton:
Following the arrest of ISWAP suspects during bomb-making training in Ilesa, over 100 foreigners who invaded Osun state in groups have been arrested.

The Nation learnt that the foreigners were arrested while entering the state by operatives of the Nigerian Immigration Service.

It was gathered that the foreigners did not have any valid travelling documents and lacked an explanation of their mission in the state.

A top security source disclosed: “I will not disclose the location of arrest for security reasons and not to raise apprehension in the community. They were arrested and the Osun State Government was informed.

“The state government was involved as they provided Immigration buses to convey them.”

When reached by phone, the spokesperson for the Nigerian Immigration Service, Osun State Command, Olu Moyosad, did not answer calls or respond to text messages.

Meanwhile, in an exclusive phone interview with The Nation, the Osun State Commisioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi confirmed arrest of 100 foreigners in the state.

He said: “100 foreigners were arrested weeks ago before the arrest of suspected members ISWAP in Ilesa. We are on top of security situation, our residents should not panic.”

According to him, the issue of security is not something that we can disclose fully. In Osun, we have always been proactive which led to the arrest of suspected terrorists in Ilesa.

“The governor including our Service Chiefs they are on top of security situations in the state. We are equally rejigging the Amotekun Security outfit to be more effective.”

He commended Oyo State Governor for raising the alarm of bandit invasion in Southwest,’noting that his Osun counterpart will always ensure that residents do not suffer any crisis.

“Following the alarm, we are leaving no stone unturned on security matters. Osun State remain the safest state in Nigeria because of the efforts of Mr Governor.”

PoliticsRe: Police Urged To Investigate Sales Of Body Parts Of Kidnap Victims In Anambra by Konquest: 6:25am On Jan 14, 2025
noleflendum:
An Anambra State-based rights activist, Mr. Osita Obi, has called on the police in the state to investigate allegations that some kidnap victims who cannot meet ransom demands have their body parts sold.

Obi told DAILY POST that he forwarded a viral voice note from a victim who regained freedom to the state Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, immediately after he saw it, urging him to investigate the matter.

“I told the commissioner to look for someone to interpret the voice note for him since it is in Igbo, so that they can investigate and apprehend those responsible.

“They always say when you see something, you should say something. So when we report to the police, we expect them to take it up from there.”

He regretted, however, that he has not been able to get any reply since he sent the note to the commissioner.

In the voice note, which has gone viral, a man who goes by the name Aso Rock — recently released from a kidnappers’ den, alongside a priest, Rev. Fr. Nonso, who just returned from the U.S. — revealed details about the operations of kidnappers in the state, including their location, in a leaked telephone conversation.

Aso Rock, a businessman said to be a rice mill owner in Anambra, stated that some victims who cannot meet ransom demands have their body parts sold to ritualists, while their remains are disposed of in a pit, with chemicals poured on them to prevent foul smells.

He said: “Me and the Reverend Father were kidnapped and whisked to a certain kidnappers’ den at Urum, Awka North Local Government Area.

“I was blindfolded along with the priest and kept in a closet. I spent N10.3 million as ransom, while the priest, according to him, paid over N20 million for his freedom.

“I saw how human beings were being slaughtered alive and their vital organs harvested for sale. There is a well in the kidnappers’ den where the remains of those slaughtered alive are thrown into.

“These kidnappers operate an enterprise in the forest, as they employ cooks who prepare their meals and those of their victims. There are small boys among them, all wielding guns. In the evening, you see them preparing to go out, and once they go out, they always come back with people,” the businessman lamented.

According to an interview of Prof Wande Abimbola the kingmakers had been compromised with bribes. Their Head gave the other four a tiny fraction of the hefty bribes he was given to share with them. This cheating made two of them backout and renege on their support and alert the governor.

The governor now implored Prof Wande to consult the Ifa oracle on their behalf as per original ancient tradition and this Prince was chosen. The governor ratified his selection and promptly gave him the staff of office.
Professor Wande Abimbola (who was the two-term Vice Chancellor of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife) is also an internationally respected Ifa Priest (or Babalawo). If he said all that in the interview which I haven't heard yet, then this is credible enough for the new King (Abimbola Owoade) to take charge.

It's really unkind that court cases get to determine who becomes the Oba among the ruling houses in some Yoruba kingdoms. The ratification of the kingmakers after Ifa divination must be standard procedure and not otherwise.

PoliticsRe: How Jimmy Carter Saved My Life – Obasanjo by Konquest:
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo on Sunday held a memorial service in honour of his late friend and former President of the United States of America (USA), Jimmy Carter, paying glowing tributes to the American leader whom he described as a “titan and man of peace.”

Carter, the 39th president of the United States and the recipient of the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize for his post-presidential work, died at 100, on December 29, 2024, at his home in Plains, Georgia.

At the Chapel of Christ the Glorious King, Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library, Abeokuta, Ogun State, where the service was held, Obasanjo recalled how Carter stuck out his neck to save his life by seeking his release from prison under the late Head of State, General Sanni Abacha.

He said Carter paid a visit to Abacha solely to plead for his release.

He said, “President Carter was one of my foreign friends who stuck their necks out to save my life and to seek my release from prison. On President Carter’s visit to Nigeria, he got Abacha to agree to take me from detention to house arrest on my farm. But that did not last for too long.

“Many other friends and leaders intervened but President Carter was the only non-African leader, according to my information, that paid a visit to Abacha solely to plead for my release.

“I would remain ever grateful to all who worked for my release from Abacha’s gulag. Abacha ensured that I would not be released. Within a week of his death though, I was released by his successor, General Abdulsalami Abubakar, who also facilitated my going round Africa and the rest of the world to thank all those who worked for my release.”

He said Carter later informed him of the efforts of Ted Turner, an American entrepreneur and founder of the Cable News Network (CNN), and others to secure his release.

“But the most surprising thing Carter said to me was, ‘Please see Ted Turner and thank him for his generosity. He came to me and asked me to get his friend, Obasanjo, released from prison. ‘I will take care of him and his family here or wherever he chooses to live’.

“I was touched and moved to tears. I immediately went to Ted who expressed to me the same sentiment that President Carter expressed,” he said.

‘What Carter and I shared in common’

In the tributes titled “JIMMY CARTER: THE DEPARTURE OF A TITAN,” the Ota farmer explained that he shared many things in common with Cater including an early life background.

He said “In terms of early life background, I shared similarity with President Jimmy Carter. He was born into a farming family in Plains, Georgia, and I was born into a farming family in the rural village of Ibogun-Olaogun in Ogun State.

“He grew up under a father and mother who were disciplinarians, who instilled in him the essence of discipline, morality, hard work, integrity, kindness and humility, compassion for the poor and strong belief in God. My parents inculcated similar attributes in me as I was growing up in a rural area that had no pipe water, no electricity just as it was in Plains, Georgia, while Jimmy Carter was growing there.

“He beat me though in one respect; there was a road to his settlement, there was no road to my village. We walked to every place or, at best, we were carried on bicycles.

“President Carter had a military background which I had and, in fact, we met when I was a military Head of State. But if not that we were both in politics, our paths may not have crossed.

military Head of State. But if not that we were both in politics, our paths may not have crossed.

“When I became Nigeria’s military Head of State, one major issue that Africa was facing, among others, was removing the last vestiges of colonization and getting rid of
apartheid all in Southern Africa.”

Obasanjo said he would miss Carter, “a great and true friend but I know we shall meet again in Paradise.”

He said, “One great lesson I learned from President Carter was that in his leadership, he carried along an army of co-workers that shared the ideal and the burden of the work with him. He led by example and in humility and that made success to attend his
way.”

PoliticsRe: Why Peter Obi Never Mentions Kidnappings In Southeast – Omokri by Konquest: 1:00am On Jan 13, 2025
Kuginzi:
Social commentator, Reno Omokri has accused former Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi of speaking only about insecurity in the North and Southwest but neglecting the Southeast.

Omokri said this in a post on his official X account.

He mentioned that the southeast has the highest number of kidnapping for ransom in 2024 but a study of Peter Obi’s posts on kidnapping, abduction shows that his posts were directed at the North, Southwest and South South.

Omokri wrote, “The Southeast had the highest incidents of kidnapping for ransom in Nigeria for the year 2024, according to data from the analytical firm SMB Morgen. According to the statistics, Anambra is the state most prone to such abductions, followed by Imo, Abia, Enugu and Ebonyi.

“But the strange thing is that a study of posts made by Peter Obi on the subject of kidnapping, abductions, and ransom payments for the year 2024 found that most of his posts were directed at the North, the Southwest, and the South-South, respectively, in that order.

The Southeast, which had by far the highest percentage of abductions for ransom, featured the least in Mr. Obi’s condemnatory posts about the issue.

"This is surprising given the data from SMB Morgen. Peter Obi attacks other regions and ethnicities for a malaise that is more prevalent in his own region and particularly his home state. Why is that?

“When it happens in the North or Southwest, Peter Obi will dance naked in public. But if it occurs in Igboland, Mr. Obi will chop and clean mouth. He will usually not comment until he has been called out. And even in the rare event he addresses abductions in the Southeast, his words are tame, compared to the hyperbolic and hostile words he uses when they occur outside his home region.

"Can such a person govern a multiethnic and religiously heterogeneous nation like Nigeria fairly and objectively? You be the judge!”

PoliticsRe: Number Of Yourba Appointments Under Tinubu Is Scary - Emma Umeh (Pix) by Konquest: 12:00am On Jan 13, 2025
Xisnin:
Yes, Tinubu's appointment favors the SW.
But there are some serious issues with this list.

1. the inclusion of all ministers.
By law, each state must have a minister, junior or senior.

2. the inclusion of tenured appointment.
The CJN for example is not strictly Tinubu's appointee, she is the most senior Judge in the supreme court, hence her position.

3. It did not include other principal appointments from other ethnic groups for proper comparison.
Chief of Army staff was included but not Chief of Defense and Naval staff.
Succinctly put.

The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, on Friday announced it has introduced the Non-Resident Nigerian Ordinary Account (NRNOA) and Non-Resident Nigerian Investment Account (NRNIA) for Nigerians in diaspora.

CBN disclosed this in a circular to all authorized dealer banks and the general public noting that NRNOA will enable Non-Resident Nigerians (NRNs) remit their foreign earnings to Nigeria and manage funds in both foreign and local currencies.

The circular signed by Ag. Director, Trade and Exchange Department, CBN, Dr. W.J Kanya stated: “The Central Bank of Nigeria is pleased to inform the general public of the introduction of the NRNOA and NRNIA targeted at Nigerians in diaspora.

“The NRNOA enables Non-Resident Nigerians (NRNs) to remit their foreign earnings to Nigeria and manage funds in both foreign and local currencies, while the (NRNIA) enables Non-Resident Nigerians (NRNS) to invest in assets in Nigeria in either foreign currency (FCY) or local currency (Naira).

“Account holders may maintain both a foreign currency (FCY) account and/or a local currency (Naira) account to facilitate transactions and participate in diverse investment opportunities.

“The benefits derivable include but are not limited to the following: Improved access for NRNs to opportunities in the Nigerian economy and increased contribution of diaspora community to the socio-economic development of Nigeria.

“NRNS can use their NRNIA to participate in Nigeria’s Diaspora Bond and other debt
instruments issued locally specifically targeted at the Nigerian diaspora or available to the investing public.

“The account will also serve as a conduit for NRNs to manage their funds directly in a
safe and secure environment, and reduce the reliance on third parties in meeting local
commitments and obligations.

“Effective 1st January 2025, eligible NRNS shall have the opportunity to own any of the Non-resident Nigerian accounts, subject to meeting KYC requirements which will be made available in FAQs to be released soon.

“This policy is without prejudice to Memorandum 17 of the CBN Foreign Exchange Manual (2018).”

PoliticsRe: E-border Surveillance System Yielding Results, Says Interior Minister by Konquest: 11:38pm On Jan 12, 2025
TheRareGem1:
The Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has said the initiated e-border surveillance system has been effective for border security.

This initiative, launched on December 14, 2024, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Technology Innovation Complex, aims to combat irregular migration and enhance border security.

In a statement made available to Sunday PUNCH, the minister stated that the technology recorded significant progress since its deployment.

Tunji-Ojo added that one of the most remarkable outcomes of the e-border system was its role in identifying and capturing persons of interest

He also mentioned that the integration of INTERPOL data and other national security databases had significantly enhanced the ability to detect and respond to threats at our borders

Within a few weeks of the operation, the minister said the system successfully flagged and detained individuals with criminal records or suspicious activities.

The statement partly read, “Since its roll-out, the e-border surveillance system has proven highly effective in curbing illegal migration, one of Nigeria’s longstanding border security challenges.

The project employs cutting-edge automation and monitoring tools, enabling real-time surveillance across Nigeria’s extensive 4,447 kilometres of land, air, and sea borders.

“The Nigeria Immigration Service, which operates the system, has deployed advanced e-border solutions to over 80 crossing points nationwide. These solutions integrate data from INTERPOL and Nigerian security agencies, allowing seamless identification and interception of persons of interest.”

There are slightly over 1000 illegal crossing points along the Nigerian 5000 kilometres long borders with other countries. A more robust sarellite-based technology has to be introduced to monitor those illegal birder crossings especially in the far North of Nigeria.

The United States too is still battling with its own influx of illegal immigrants from Mexico and other Latin American countries.
