emmanuel596:This unfortunate incident in the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory happened last week in the heat of the massive protests online and offline by Ghananians against that illegal Eze actions in the land of the Ga-Adangbe people. I remember that just before the former President Buhari left office in 2023, there was a highway killing of some United States Embassy staff in Anambra State by gunmen. Just recently a gang of bank armed robbers who turned out to be Ibos were arrested in Ghana. This is just one of the many incidents of armed robberies, hard drugs trafficking, kidnappings for ransom, human trafficking, etc, in the last 15 years that I have tracked that were perpetrated by people with roots in Nigeria from the east of river Niger that finally triggered the direct anger of Ghananians over that Ibo guy parading himself illegally as a leader of his people in Ghana and the Ga Mantse's royal palace did right to STOP him from using the title HRM to describe himself when he is NOT even from a royal family in his East of Nigeria village. |
Politicstoday:This dude who loves to dance is said NOT to have performed well as the Governor by many of his kinsmen in Osun State, so why is there a wild rumor of APC receiving him with the alleged support of President Tinubu? It makes no sense to allow him in APC. He hasn't done as much as his late older brother Senator Isiaka Adeleke who was a Governor of the same Osun State. "Jackson" Adeleke should go and join any other political party such as the so-called political coalition named ADC and allow the APC or any other political party that wins to properly choose their own Governorship candidate to repair the developmental setbacks done to that state. If the APC chooses him as their candidate, then APC would likely lose the election in a competitive race. The current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy in Nigeria, Gboyega Oyetola who is a brilliant Chartered Accountant and Auditor just like his uncle President 'Bola Tinubu can return to finish his one-term that is left (he was there as Governor from 2018 to 2022) by hitting the ground running or someone else who is competent can do that. Period. |
davodyguy:Succinctly stated. "The Black box was found and the voice recorders already said that the fuel supply ti the two engines were cut off and only a human being can turn the switch off, either deliberately or in error." |
cenaman:Fuel to the engines of the Air India plane that crashed last month appears to have cut off shortly after take-off, a preliminary report has found. According to the report by India's Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB), switches in the Boeing 787 Dreamliner's cockpit that controlled fuel moved to a "CUTOFF" position. It said: "Engine 1 and Engine 2 fuel cutoff switches transitioned from RUN to CUTOFF position one after another with a time gap of one second. "The Engine N1 and N2 began to decrease from their take-off values as the fuel supply to the engines was cut off." There was then confusion in the cockpit. In the voice recording, one of the pilots is heard asking the other why he "cut off". The other pilot responds that he did not do so. The 15-page report did not identify which comments were made by the flight's captain and which were made by the first officer. One of the pilots made a "mayday, mayday, mayday" call just before the crash. Both pilots were experienced, with around 19,000 flying hours between them, including more than 9,000 on the 787. Flipping to cutoff almost immediately cuts the engines, and is most often used to turn the engines off once a plane has arrived at its airport gate and in certain emergency situations, such as an engine fire - though both switches together are rarely used simultaneously. |
bolaayenimo:First off, you are NOT a Yoruba but simply using a moniker with Yoruba names. Your recent past post condemning Morayo Afolabi-Brown (for allegedly being an APC supporter) who is the biological daughter of the great legal luminary, a strong member of the pro-democracy movement back in the 1990s and a highly respected former NBA Chairman, the late Alao Aka-Basorun, SAN, who I knew very well back in the day gives you off. Second, your post here is totally off point and makes NO sense. Did Joe Igbokwe ever tell you he's looking for a political appointment under APC? He's a very comfortable business man and doesn't need anybody to protest on his behalf for any political appointment under APC. Your inconsistent recent condemnation of Morayo Afolabi-Brown for being a supporter of APC on one hand and your post calling for Joe Igbokwe to be given an APC appointment don't add up. Period. |
nlparrot:Just recently, the Zanku master took to social media to celebrate his partner, who just graduated from the prestigious University of Birmingham in the UK. |
casualobserver:If the creation of new states will NOT be feasible in a WORSE case scenario, I'm more in favor of boundary adjustments where distinct ethnic groups that are related to one another BUT located in different states of Nigeria are merged together in one state to minimize the incidences of political and cultural discriminations. For example, the Yorubas (Okuns) of Kogi State from the Kabba axis right to Okuns in parts of Lokoja can be merged with the Yorubas of Kwara State and the Nupes of Northern Kwara can be merged with the Nupes of Niger State. Matter of FACT a new Yoruba state encompassing Kwara South right up to Jebba along the river Niger in Kwara North would have been a perfect creation with the Yoruba city of Ilorin as capital. While the Nupes of Kwara North can be merged with the Nupes of Niger State to create a new Nupe State. Further examples would be merging the Igalas of Anambra and Northern Enugu States with Kogi State, and the merger of Tivs of Benue, parts of Taraba and Nassarawa States. The Ijaws of Delta can be merged with Bayelsa State. Past states creations since May 27, 1967 were badly done by the past military dictatorships (especially from the IBB era) who violated the universal laws of justice by splitting distinct ethnic groups into multiple states to repress specific ethnic groups. |
RandDigital:It's NOT strange that this burial rejection in the Limpopo region of South Africa is taking place even though a foreign resident can be legally buried in South Africa. From Thailand, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Kenyans, India, etc, and most recently Ghananians too have had enough of the same insolence triggered by some people from the same tribe in the East of Nigeria. Just to be clear, there are over 250 distinct ethnic groups and over 400 languages spoken in Nigeria and Nigeria has a population of 230 million with a little over 10 million living in the Diaspora. It's ONLY a subset of highly IRRESPONSIBLE people from 1 tribe out of the over 250 ethnic groups from Nigeria who have relentlessly committed MOST of the hard drugs trafficking and human sex trafficking rings in South Africa in the last 25 years based on the arrests made. So other Nigerians from ANY of the other over 250 distinct ethnic groups who might be living in SA should NOT be lumped together with that tribe that has been fingered for the same offences in Thailand where people from this same tribe were bluntly called out by name in a viral video by the senior Thailand Police investigator for the relentless hard drugs trafficking in his country. Period. |
alphonsoolajide:An interesting post.right there. The post emphasizes importance of due diligence before buying mobile device |
sharone21:Indeed, I've also heard that Ned Nwoko's father isn't from the Anioma town he is claiming to come from. It's his biological mother who is from that Anioma town he currently claims. These people have to realize again based on what the late Catholic priest, Rev. Kinirum Osia from Obamkpa in Aniocha North LGA said in past interviews: Anioma people come from the Benin-Edos, Esan-Edos Yorubas (Olukumis), Igalas, Nri, etc. Is it too difficult (for Ned Nwoko and his largely Eastern Ibo supporters from the east of river Niger) to understand? Those in Delta North whose origins are from the East of river Niger (such as Igbuzo for instance) are NOT the ONLY tribe in Anioma. Even Asaba and Okpanam have Igala origins from Kogi and parts of Anambra States and Benin origins as well since Nnebisi the founder of Asaba has an ethnic Igala father. The late Dennis Osadebe who with some of his associates coined the name "ANIOMA" from Aniocha, Ndokwa, Ika and Oshimili is an indigene of Asaba and he CLEARLY affirmed the Igala ethnic groups' origin of Asaba in his books. Reverend Father Kinirum Osia himself stated in his interviews that Asaba is the least of ALL communities that can be ascribed to as Ibo because of it's Igala and Edo roots as well despite Nnebusi's mother being from Nteje in the current Anambra State. Nteje itself is one of the many Igala-associated communities in Anambra State with descent from the Igala prince named Eri (who is the son of Achado of Idah in modern Kogi State). Second, there is one very irresponsible boy who openly insults other ethnic groups on YouTube and goes by the name of "spirit mighty" on YouTube who says he is from Ndokwa and identifies as Ibo while also being strongly in support of Anioma being in the South East. That boy has been openly using insulting language in his videos on the Benin-Edos, Yorubas, some Ikas from Agbor and indeed all Anioma communities that claim to have connections with the Edo people. If Anioma State is created and placed under the South East, I have my concerns for the safety of the Ikas and others who have ancestral relationships with the Edos, I also concerns for the safety of the Olukumi communities with Yoruba ancestry via the Yoruba town of USEN in Ovia South West LGA of Edo State and Owo area, etc, the Igala-associated communities, etc. If eventually Anioma State is ceded to the South East region the renegades and revisionists elements among the Ibos will seek to wipe off several communities in Anioma that have indigenous Ikas (Agbor and others) with Edo origins, Igalas (of Ebu, etc), Yoruba (Olukumi) such as Ugbodu or Eko Efun (otherwise called Ukwunzu), etc. ipob will move in forcibly by using the threat of death with the aid of young people such as that "spirit whatever" boy who uses violent language on other ethnic groups on his revisionist videos on YouTube. Eternal vigilance is key for Anioma aborigenes who do NOT buy that merger with the South East of Nigeria and that boy who claims to be from Ndokwa has already violated the already signed Cybercrimes laws and he will face a minimum of 2 years in jail term if convicted. Ignorance of the law is NO excuse. Period. |
aieromon:Those were really creative banking adverts right above. Way ahead of others back in the day. Fortunately some concept cars and few U.S. Navy vessels can run on water but it's NOT being commercialised for regular vehicle usage because of the multibillion USD oil and gas, and ICE industries that would be destroyed. |
emkz:Succinctly stated historical facts. President 'Bola Tinubu has no intentions of doing away with Shettima. It's just a FALSE rumor being pushed around by the paid troll farms of the opposition political parties who want to see the Nigerian President fail. In a worse case scenario, if he does, then he would have shot himself in the foot. As someone who is vast in global geopolitical dynamics, I NEVER fail in all my critical analyses. |
Mynd44:Your last paragraph about the Americo-Liberians who partly had White bloodlines or White paternal parentage is spot on. I have decades of knowledge on this aspect of American history. However, for other Africans who returned from the United States to Africa through Liberia, It wasn't necessarily a deportation of people who didn't know where they came from. Some were first-generation Africans who knew what ethnic groups they came from while some others who had mixed African and White parentage due to rapes or non-consentual sex had an idea of their maternal origins OR didn't even know their maternal roots at all. The African descendants in the United States who had made it to the North of the United States through the famous "Underground Railroad route" [led by Harriet Tubman and other slave liberators] willingly chose to go to Africa themselves instead of staying back in America. The famous Vaughan and Jackson families are Yoruba families that returned from the United States in the 1800s to Yorubaland in Nigeria via Liberia. They had to FIRST move to Liberia by enrolling with the "American Colonization Society" like others did BEFORE linking up with their ancestral lands if they wished to. The Vaughan family patriarch Scipio Vaughan (1784–1840) was an Owu-Egba Prince who was taken as a prisoner of war and deported on a slave ship to Camden, South Carolina in the United States in 1805, and renamed Scipio Vaughan. He didn't make it back to Yorubaland in Nigeria BUT instructed his ONLY 2 sons (from his marriage to a Native American woman) on his death bed that they should go back to Yorubaland to find their roots which the 2 brothers finally did in the 1853. They made it to Lagos Island, then Abeokuta and settled there while embarking on business-related opportunities, BUT when the Egbas angrily expelled ALL the European and Yoruba Christians (on the suspicion that the British supported and gave weapons to the Ijebus thereby disrupting the Egba trade routes) the Vaughan brothers eventually settled in Ebute-Meta, Lagos, and we're very wealthy businessmen and part of the Lagos Yoruba elite. The rest of the Egba-Yoruba Vaughan family direct descendants (both on the male and female lines because the 2 brothers had 7 biological sisters they left behind in the late 1853 with their mother in South Carolina) are still in Nigeria and the United States and have held senior ranking positions in the United States Government from the legal sector and more since the early 1970s, and in the finance and assets management fields. =>https://guardian.ng/life/back-to-africa-a-dying-wish-births-a-living-legacy/ =>https://www.aaihs.org/the-transatlantic-journey-of-south-carolina-freedman-james-churchwill-vaughan/ |
mrrandomguy:@mrrandomguy, There are several distinct pure Hausa communities and bloodlines in the 7 Northern Hausa States (Kano, Katsina, Zamfara, Kebbi, Sokoto, Northern Kaduna, etc, and they know CLEARLY know one another and can identify the Fulas. Hausa Christians and a few Hausa traditional religion adherents even exist in Southern Kano State. This is why the angry Hausa lady who spoke after the Hausa guy with an American accent in the FIRST video right BELOW was able to accurately state that ALL the Governors of the Hausa States including Katsina where she is from since 1999 have been the minority Fulanis hiding under the larger Hausas using religion and the indigenous Hausas of Nigeria have vowed to stop it. They will NOT want to see a Fula President again and President 'Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his team MUST immediately get to see these videos and call for an URGENT constitutional amendment and restructuring of Nigeria so that these minority Fulanis of foreign North African Berber nomadic origin of Morocco and Algeria do NOT continue to dominate and kill the indigenous Hausas and other Nigerians. I've attached videos showing a well-spoken but angry Hausa guy condemning the highly irresponsible political domination of Hausaland by the Fulani political hegemonists and the invasion of Hausaland by foreign Fula bandits killing Hausas and renaming Hausa communities to Fulani names under the watch of those minority Fulani Governors and they have vowed to resist this domination. You can watch the latest videos right BELOW for some more insights: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPsio7Gcxwo?si=zd9OkeKxBzNE_ys6 We Northern Youth Rather Support Tinubu If Tickets Is NOT Given To Our Brothers Atiku https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euWHavREV4k?si=j4sOXyNPPDXvDLyW Local Journo • Jul 8 2025 |
Xso666:She isn't a "virgin" anymore so what's with the reference to "virgin wife." Now, WITHOUT a shadow of doubt, your young wife and the trader have smooshed each other and had sex. This is how some females end up passing HIV to their male spouses and vice versa. The FACT that a woman got married as a virgin doesn't mean she would be faithful in marriage. Some virgins have the desire to want to know how it feels to sleep with other men. So, head on over and let her parents and fam know about this situation. The FACT that she lied to you that she was at home when infact she wasn't shows that she's a highly IRRESPONSIBLE young lady! |
CryptoPornster:This is simply a politically correct statement. |
Double0h7:Indeed, we had our fair share of little querrels back in the day but we were also protective of her. Aha! The Irish-born Pierce Brosnan was active between 1995 and 2002 as JB. He's now 72 as of 2025 and he's ageing gracefully. The references to the Nintendo game and your "age footprint" got me smirking there. (Getting to easily figure a woman's age can feel like trying to squeeze water out of dry rocks). ![]() Talk to you later and stay safe. |
Double0h7:@Double0h7 That's impressive. I've NEVER bothered to ask her how she felt being the only female in the midst of us men till date but your deep insights here have given me some fresher perspectives. Oh wow! You practically described my younger sis there. She always has a lot to say to me on the phone... I tactically have to end the calls sometimes after 15 to 20 minutes. Indeed, most females are social creatures, hence they honor celebrations, birthday parties and social bonding. These are the "Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus" kind of scenarios that differentiate us men from you women. That's what makes the world go round though. Life would be totally boring if we didn't have our differences in this physical world of duality. Hot or cold, male or female, light and darkness, etc. Last but not least, I appreciate your insights and feedback here and deduce that you must be a coded James Bond girl (fan) based off of your moniker name. Enjoy the rest of your day. Ciao. |
press9jatv:To those who now hold power undeserved, lead with humility. Govern with conscience. History sees what the courts may not. And one day, it will deliver its own verdict. My take: Asue, let it slide and prepare for the next big thing in time and space. Period. |
InfoGuru118:That's a horrendous way to die in the hands of your domestic staff leading armed robbers to steal from you. BETTER not to have any domestic staff (even from some employment agencies) OR do thorough independent background checks with private investigators before employing anyone. Never trust NOBODY! |
Double0h7:I like the well-grounded perspectives that you being a female emphasized upon in your post right ABOVE. In the event that a girl has NO older or younger biological sister, what's your take on having a female first cousin (or second cousin) can replace the lack of a biological sister when it comes to trying to resolve the pressures of every living? I have only one younger sister who is doing well in her 40s and I've occasionally wondered if her being the only female ever made her lonely or affected her on a subconscious level (among her older and younger brothers, although she had our mother to have convos with). |
Maxymilliano:This lady's (Lauretta Onochie) and Boss Mustapha's asinine comments are historically incorrect. Prior to the formation of APC led by Tinubu and Buhari due to the fusion of ACN and CPC, and then ANPP, etc, Buhari's constant 12 million votes as a CPC Presidential candidate couldn't make him defeat Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan both from the South of Nigeria and members of the PDP. It was due to the FULL support that the now President 'Bola Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria gave to Buhari during the APC Presidential primaries at the Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos State back in 2014 that led to Buhari emerging as the Presidential flagbearer of APC while Atiku came second in the APC primaries. If Tinubu hadn't supported Buhari during the APC primaries in 2014, and instead supported Atiku Abubakar, there's absolutely NO way Buhari would have become the civilian President of Nigeria. These people must STOP rewriting well-documented history! That's purely asinine. Period. |
Paut:The comments attached to that meme cracked me up. ![]()

busariabeyx24:Obviously options 4, 5, and 6 are out of the picture. Those WOULDN'T be proper ways to treat an ex if she fainted. It's not that deep.

SheikhMuniru:Let's hope the Senator being a Chartered Accountant and more will perform BETTER in the construction of roads, agriculture and sanitation than the incumbent Governor of Ogun State, Omo Oba 'Dapo Abiodun who is a multimillionaire oil and gas business mogul. We see some positives and negatives online from that state and much more can be done. So, Prince 'Dapo Abiodun has done a bit OK with the new Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport construction which will serve as a scheduled passenger and cargo airport with Ogun State being the state with the largest concentration of industries in Nigeria followed by Lagos State. |
Islie:Is Pat Utomi this jobless? A supposed technocrat who managed Volkswagen Nigeria back in the day and anchored "Patitos Gang" and more should NOT be wasting his precious time cheaply seeking attention with this shadow whatever and on needless drama. This dude is NOT even a grounded politician tbh. There's a lot more to be done in the private sector as that is what majorly drives or leapfrogs any country's economic ecosystem. Go and watch the documentary "The Men who Built America" then you will understand BETTER. |
