PoliticsRe: Atiku Vows To Fight Corruption If Elected, Bayo Onanuga Reacts by Konquest: 7:47pm On Jul 08, 2025
SmartPolician:
I know that Atiku is no saint, but those serving in an administration led by a former drug lord have no rights to criticise him. Doing so is like kettle calling pot black.
I have been a member of NL for 20 years now and you are clearly one of the most IRRESPONSIBLE posters here for relentless disinformation and derailing of NL threads.

I CLEARLY warned you this youngster BEFORE now (this same 2025) to desist from derailing threads and FALSELY calling President 'Bola Ahmed Tinubu a "drug lord OR a former drug lord" which the United States Government CLEARLY stated in the ATTACHED document right BELOW that he isn't, BUT you and the 50 odd tribal bigots and your fellow paid ipob troll farms that liked your highly IRRESPONSIBLE NL post are tone deaf!

For the last time:

The United States Government in 1993 and the United States Embassy in Lagos through the then Legal Attache, Michael Bonner in 2003 stated very CLEARLY in an official document to Nigerian investigators which is ATTACHED right BELOW that based on the information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) National Crime Information Center (NCIC) central database, the then Governor 'Bola Ahmed Tinubu has NEVER been arrested or convicted for crimes OR drug offences. The NCIC contains the names of all arrested and convicted criminals in the United States and her territories. Tinubu's name has NEVER been in the NCIC database!

There will be very severe consequences for your highly defamatory actions on NL from here on out. You and your fellow Obi supporters and paid ipob trolls CANNOT continue to insult and spread massive disinformation on NL against the Nigerian President 'Bola Tinubu who is an innocent man. I hate it when people like you dishonesty spread disinformation with the aim of politically installing their own tribal kinsman. You people were the same tribe calling for a military coup to take place in Nigeria in 2023 and 2024 here on NL and online. That's pure bigotry on your part and shows that you and your fellow youngsters are anti-democratic people who under the law will be brought to justice by the intelligence agencies soon. Period.

Cybercrimes act now in force: FG issues strong warnings to internet users

6th July, 2025

By Michael Adesina

The Federal Government has formally enacted the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act into full force, making all its provisions legally binding across the country.

The announcement serves as a strong warning to internet users, content creators, and digital platform administrators to acquaint themselves with the law and ensure strict compliance.

The Cybercrimes Act, which outlines several offenses related to digital conduct, is aimed at curbing criminal activity online, protecting national infrastructure, and ensuring the safety and integrity of Nigeria’s digital space.

Key Offenses and Penalties

Under the now-active Act, several offenses carry serious legal consequences, including imprisonment terms ranging from two years to life, depending on the severity of the crime.

Some of the major offenses outlined include:

Unauthorized Access to Devices (Section 3):
Gaining access to another person’s phone, computer, or digital device without their consent is a criminal offense.

Penalty: Up to 5 years imprisonment.

Tampering with Digital Data (Section 4):
Altering, deleting, or interfering with another person’s digital files or information without lawful authority is now punishable by law.

Penalty: Up to 5 years imprisonment.

Disclosure of Critical Infrastructure Information (Section 5):
Sharing classified or sensitive government or national infrastructure data with unauthorized individuals constitutes a grave offense.

Penalty: Up to 15 years imprisonment.

Recording Private Conversations (Section 10):
Recording conversations without proper authorization—even as a participant—is deemed a violation of privacy.

Publishing False or Misleading Information (Section 19):
Spreading fake news or deliberately deceptive content online is now a criminal act.

Penalty: Up to 2 years imprisonment.

Online Harassment and Abuse (Section 22):
Posting vulgar, offensive, or indecent content with the intent to embarrass or cause distress constitutes online abuse.

Penalty: Up to 2 years imprisonment.

Inciting Ethnic or Religious Hatred (Section 24):
Any online or offline act aimed at provoking ethnic, tribal, or religious hatred is categorized under domestic terrorism. Investment opportunities

Penalty: Life imprisonment.

Group Admins to Be Held Liable

The government also issued a stern warning to administrators of WhatsApp groups, Facebook pages, Telegram channels, and other digital communities. According to the Act, admins can be held legally responsible if they knowingly allow the circulation of illegal or harmful content within their groups.

“Admins must actively moderate their platforms and enforce community guidelines. Ignorance or negligence will not be an acceptable defense under the law,” the statement noted.

Stay Informed, Stay Protected

As the digital landscape evolves, the Federal Government is urging all Nigerians to exercise responsibility and caution in their online engagements. Citizens are advised to verify the legality of their digital actions to avoid prosecution.

“Cyberlaw is not optional. It is now an enforceable framework with consequences. Every Nigerian, especially those active online, must be aware and comply accordingly,” the notice emphasized.

The government emphasized that ignorance of the law will not shield violators from penalties and encouraged the public to stay informed in order to remain legally protected.

The ABOVE is quite impressive including the FACT that Group Admins of these online sites would be held liable BUT the 2 years jail term for some of the cyber crimes IS NOT hard enough and should have been extended to a minimum of 5-years including financial fines [just like the cyberbullying law in Japan was made stiffer by the Japanese Parliament] based on the damage these paid troll farms have done and are still doing on NL, YouTube, FB, WhatsApp and blogs.

I've often emphasized before now that the use of the new AI bot on this NL discussion forum is NOT enough and a targeted method of manually penalizing with long bans those vile monikers and paid ipob troll farms who DELIBERATELY incite toxic disinformation and defame many people such as Tinubu by recycling the old FAKE news and FALSELY calling him a "drug ba**n" despite being corrected several times and the FACT that the United States Government in 1993 and the United States Embassy in Lagos through the then Legal Attache, Michael Bonner in 2003 stated CLEARLY in an official document attached right BELOW that based on the information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation's (FBI) National Crime Information Center (NCIC) central database, the the Governor 'Bola Ahmed Tinubu has NEVER been arrested or convicted for drug offences. The NCIC contains the names of all arrested and convicted criminals in the United States and her territories. Tinubu's name has NEVER been in the NCIC database! Even as of yesterday, one of the notorious NL monikers who usually defames and taunts President 'Bola Tinubu on NL without being penalized had his defamatory thread pushed to the NL frontpage.

The Admins of NL will have to ensure that there is a delay of 2 to 3 days to manually check or vet ALL newly registered monikers for specific parameters, and that's what MOST international discussion forums which I have used since the 1990s do UNLIKE NL where a banned troll or moniker will quickly create a new NL moniker with a free throwaway email and within 3 minutes, he or she then he continues trolling. The new moniker registration point is the MAJOR reason why toxic hate speech and disinformation still remains on NL despite the bans by these mods and the so-called AI bot. I know of a few monikers that were BANNED here for 1 year or more and the users created new NL accounts and even bragged about it thereby violating or breaking the NL rules. Hopefully, Seun can work further on this last paragraph which is the key to finally sanitizing NL. Period.

InvestmentRe: Nigerian Forex Mentors Are Wicked And Dishonest by Konquest: 12:51am On Jul 06, 2025
Looky:
Good day folks.Today I've been thinking about how most Nigerian forex mentors learn how to trade from free materials and attain mastery but they won't direct newbies to the source of those free materials but charge them exorbitant fees ranging from 100$ to 200$ to register under their shady mentorships.

I know most mentors will feel like hanging me by my balls right now for saying the truth.
If you want to get the source of learning of any mentor just check two or three of their setups and you will know the trading strategy they use. Some mentors are wise enough to know this so they hide major parts of their setups. Any mentor that you can think of is either using retail strategy(supply and demand concepts),ICT,FALCON,WYCKOFF or BTMM.

If there is a mentor you are following just drop two of his setups and I will tell you which one of the strategies he is using.

The point am trying to drive home is that you can learn any of this strategies from free materials.Search diligently and you will get materials.

If you have 100$ to 500$ to dash mentor I'm not trying to discourage you.
I saw a thread where a nairalander(I won't mention his name) was dropping setups and advertising his mentorship for 300$.Like LOL he uses ICT and the full course is littered everywhere for free.

I remember seeing a mentor ads on Facebook weeks ago advertising a golden strategy founded by him and I followed him up for two days and discovered he is a BTMM trader lol.He priced his course at 200$ like lol when free materials and full course is scattered everywhere.
There's loads of B.S. out there from a lot of snake oil salesmen.

To even overtly parrot out that 1-term plan shows a very grave, naive and highly embarrassing DESPERATION for power by Amaechi and Peter Obi. It's just asinine tbh.

These two politically naive guys are truly spent forces with NO abilities for sustainable critical thinking. A new set of folks not more than the early 60s in age in Nigeria and the Nigerian Diaspora have to emerge to bring disruptive innovations into the political and economic ecosystem of that country.

What is worth doing is worth doing well. Period.

Noted.

Truth is we need a totally new constitution. I suspect (hope) it is Tinubu’s plan for his second term.
You can watch the video right BELOW first from the timestamps 7:24 to 10:21 to quickly hear the comments of the 2 foreign Fulani dudes about the crimes committed by their kinsmen in Nigeria. The last dude was even blunt or brutally honest by saying that Fulanis are NOT from Nigeria or Ghana or Cameroon but from the North (of Africa).

HAUSA WOMAN EXPOSES REAL TRIBE BEHIND FARM ATTACKS & VILLAGE INVASIONS IN NIGERIA—IT’S NOT ALL FULANI

Last but not least, what Tinubu and his team of political advisers have to realize is that there is NO luxury of time. These constitutional amendments have to start in 2025 in order to pull the rug from under the feet of those fifth-columnists who are already trying to destabilize Nigeria by planting massive online and offline disinformation through the use of paid ipob troll farms and more to stir up ethnic discontent so that it would be easy for them to grab power.

Today, every Genz has his/her choice of films on his/her phone and laptop.
Just for historical CLARITY, there are some people born in the 1960s and 1970s who ALSO went through this peeping process. When the WNTV [Western Nigeria Television with the slogan, "The FIRST in Africa"] started broadcasting, people peeped through the windows to see what programs were being shown.

In addition, there were Betamax recorders and Betamax tapes which those of us who were well off used to watch movies (Western, Indian, Bruce Lee, etc) at home from the late 1970s right into the 1980s in Nigeria before the VHS recorders and VHS tapes gradually took over from the early 1980s [and then the FIRST ever Nigerian movie industry home video produced and packaged in Lagos State on VHS tape was shot in 1988 and screened as well at the National Arts Theater in Lagos that same year and it sold out]. Indeed, the first film produced on home video in Nigeria as of 1988 is "Soso Meji," produced by Ade Ajiboye. Consequently, Prince Alade Aromire produced his "Ekun" home video in 1988, with Prince Jide Kosoko producing his home video as well in 1989, and hundreds more home video were produced before 1993, leading to a major Nigerian movie industry home video boom from the early 1990s with the availability of more VHS recorders and video tape rental clubs.

Peeping through the windows to watch these video tapes are associated with low-income neighborhoods or communities that viewed these things as novelties."

I apologize for the unintended typographic error in the last paragraph of my last post. The word "Ghana" appeared (due to my mobile device's sensitive autocorrect feature) instead of the name "Gbaja" [President Tinubu's Chief-of-Staff]. I've corrected that original post as well.

President Tinubu, 'Femi Gbaja, and others have to see these videos because there's an urgent constitutional ammendment that will have to be done to remove this kind of apartheid system in 2025.

Last but not least, I'll post another video link right BELOW for you to see an American-based Fulani guy (NOT a Nigerian citizen) condemning the highly IRRESPONSIBLE killings by Fulanis of indigenous Nigerians and telling the Fulanis in Nigeria that they are NOT from Nigeria BUT the descendants of the North African Berber/Arab Umayyad dynasty (Moors) who invaded and colonized Spain from the year 711 C.E to 1492 C.E when a Spanish military force finally kicked them out (the Berber invaders called Al-Andalus and introduced Islam into Spain).

Absolutely well said.

Indeed, I like the way you broke the Old Northern Region into 3 different voting blocks.

Even the Yoruba folks of the Old Western Region didn't vote in one direction during the period when Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN, was in political ascendancy from the early 1990s in the Old Western Region. During the 2nd Republic, the NPN block, the Mallam Aminu Kano block, the GNPP block of Waziri Ibrahim, etc, existed which all aimed for a national political outlook.

You indeed understand the geopolitics of Nigeria and this is why I've always liked your succinct submissions on this discussion forum ever since I noticed your moniker a few years back.

I've attached one of the videos showing a well-spoken but angry Hausa guy condemning the highly irresponsible political domination of Hausa land by the Fulani political hegemonists and the invasion of Hausaland by foreign Fula. Obi’s only value in this coalition is his voter block.

To you and all who can’t see the flyer from the forests, I have been telling you how things will play out since 2022 and I have NEVER been wrong. Feel free to believe there will be a fair contest or that Obi will become the flag bearer talk less win. Let’s just wait till then and strike a deal that if I am right once again, you finally admit that you don’t understand Nigerian politics and maybe I read political situations better than you do and if you turn out to be right that I do t know what I am talking about? Deal?
You're indeed good at reading political situations.

But this is NOT a monolithic "Northern agenda" BUT largely a minority Fulani political hegemony agenda. This thread indeed shows that a lot of posters here are driven by blind emotions and cannot reason properly or have the ability to discern.

Those leading the so-called political coalition are largely Fulanis NOT even the majority indigenous Hausas of Hausaland. The Fulanis who number not more than 22 million in Africa are NOT indigenous to any of Hausa States in the North of Nigeria yet all the Hausa States Governors are Fulanis and they have only been using subterfuge by using religion and more to attach themselves to the indigenous Hausa people since 1804 (who are over 80 million in Nigeria and Niger Republic) whose language is totally different from Fulani language. But the Hausas are rejecting this in videos and this has caused panic among the Fulani political hegemonists who run a puerile apartheid system in Northern Nigeria in 2025!

There are videos online showing clearly angry male and female Hausas condemning the Fulani herders and bandits who have been constantly killing indigenous Hausas for years now in Hausa States. To make it CLEARER, the Hausas in the videos are also condemning the total hijacking of political power in Hausaland by these Fulanis of foreign North African Berber origin (who migrated via Mauritania in the West African Sahel region) with all the State Governors of Hausa States being Fulanis. Since 1960, NO single indigenous Hausa man of Nigeria has ever been the President of Nigeria.

So, the question is: What NORTH are those minority Fulanis talking about? Atiku Abubakar, El-Rufai, the Hakeem Baba-Ahmed and his brother, etc, who are all of foreign paternal Fulani descent from Cameroon, Guinea, and Mauritania!

I strongly believe that the Nigerian President 'Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be re-elected since he has 2 more years left to complete the construction of the gas and CNG infrastructure in all the regions of Nigeria, and deploy more CNG-fueled trains and more to drastically drop the price of food from the farm gate and cargo transportation. This would endear the government to the folks on the street level who have been complaining about a lack of disposable income for over 2 years since the necessary removal of the fuel subsidy which had become unsustainable.

The intolerable insecurity preventing several indigenous ethnic communities from going to their farmlands and increasing poverty rate and anger towards APC officials (largely caused by the foreign Fulani herders and bandits from the West African Sahel) is also high on the lists of what is bothering indigenous Hausa communities including the Southern Kaduna, Plateau, Benue, the Western and North Central Yoruba communities of Kogi and Kwara, Northern Enugu, etc. Once these are eradicated with clear intentionality within the next 2 years, the largely disgruntled Fulani political SPV or so-called political coalition will FIZZLE out and the indigenous folks of Nigeria will be happy to re-elect President 'Bola Ahmed Tinubu and others.

Those are the folks who will vote him and others during the 2027 Presidential cycle without any rigging or prodding.

This coalition is an Atiku coalition. It is an Atiku SPV!

The only person who can see is Datti! Look at the people you are in bed with, do you think they are prepared for a free and fair fight? Do you think they will line up behind Obi? Do people like Malami and ElRifai look like people willing to accept Obi as President or people who need the votes of his supporters?

Already as they speak they are lining up their delegates!
Northern states traditionally have the highest No of delegates in any party primaries , is it Obi that will control them? Some one who hasn’t officially joined the party yet and did not do well in the North last time? Is it Kebbi with Malami, Kwara with Abdulahi, Osun with Aregbe, Benue with Mark, or Adamawa with Atiku whose delegates will vote for Obi? Look at the coloration of the alliance, which states can Obi get delegates from? Amaechi will do a delegates deal with Atiku, so will Aregbe!

Obi will not win the primaries. Even in a free and fair fight he won’t win the primaries against Atiku. By the time he is a candidate in the primaries, it means he has left LP since you can’t be a member of 2 parties. Once he loses the primaries, he is stuck and can’t leave to start searching for a new party without damaging his reputation, so he will be forced to take the VP slot. If he doesn’t play along,, it will be handed over to Amaechi. Obidients In the end they will be forced to vote for Atiku……coup completed!

Obi knows this, he also knows he needs the coalition and that is his dilema.

Get used to the idea that either way Obi is not becoming President!

I am on a self imposed exile from Nairaland but I am breaking it this once to post this for the record.
Succinctly stated.

This coalition is an Atiku coalition. It is an Atiku SPV!

A minority "Fula-dominated" coalition.

I'm glad that the young man's father is aware of this situation like you stated and it's also important to realize that racism by deadly roving Russian gangs towards biracial children with Russian mothers and African fathers has been on the rise since the end of the Soviet Union so, Zabov has to keep in touch with his folks in Nigeria. Fortunately, he definitely has a Russian passport so he can always fly in and out of Russia.

I hate seeing or hearing tales of fathers being estranged from their sons and daughters because that father-figure presence is key in the formative years of children.

Zabov also disclosed that his mother is Russian and her name is Natasha, while his father is Nigerian, originally from Ogwashi-Ukwu, Delta State.

The biracial boy is certainly from the same Okonjo family where Ngozi Okonjo (though married to an Abia State man) comes from in Ogwashi-Ukwu in Delta North which is also JJ Okocha's home town.

I hope the Okonjo family can assist him to resolve the relationship issues between him and his dad because deep racism towards even biracial kids between Russian women and African men has been on the rise since the demise of the USSR or Soviet Union.

And I know I’m speaking on TV. So Tinubu has tried keeping him this long. So, even the consideration that he be dropped, I think Tinubu has tried for keeping him this long.”

Pathetic and disgusting! Is this even a sane plan?

Rotimi Amaechi and the other guy called Peter sound absolutely desperate to grab power with this irresponsible 1-term plan from both of them.
They will be played by the minority Fulani political hegemonists (NOT the indigenous Hausas) who are of foreign North African Berber origin via the Mauritania migration route and they are the desperate arrowheads of this so-called political coalition. These minority Fula tribe have desperately used subterfuge to hold Nigeria down for years aided by the British Colonial rule and the past military dictatorships and they aren't stopping yet due to a growing anger and resistance as seen in online videos by the majority indigenous Hausas about this insidious minority Fula political domination of Hausaland as Governors, Deputy-Governors, Senators, etc, which is apartheid in 2025.
PoliticsRe: Taiwan Extols Nigeria’s Diplomatic Endeavors In St.lucia And The Caribbean State by Konquest: 11:42am On Jul 04, 2025
TimeManager:
Taiwanese government has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s successful State visit to the Caribbean nation of Saint Lucia as a truly a landmark achievement in Nigeria diplomacy.

“We, the people and Government of Taiwan, wholeheartedly congratulate President Tinubu for his visions and concrete actions of extending Nigeria’s connection with the Caribbean Island state, just like Taiwan has made diplomatically with St. Lucia”, Andy Yih-Ping Liu, Taiwan’s Representative/ Head of Mission in Nigeria said in a latest statement.

In line with Nigeria’s moves, Liu noted that Taiwan and St. Lucia, as well as three other Caribbean Island nations – St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Haiti, have long established diplomatic relations with full-fledged Embassies setting in each other’s capitals.

The head of Taiwan mission in Nigeria further said that his country’s diplomatic presence of Embassies, together with Development and Technical Aid of medical, agricultural, women and youth empowering, trade and investment strengthening, sustainable development, have truly assisted St. Lucia as well as other Caribbean nations to grow well economically and socially.

Liu believed that during President Tinubu’s visit, he would have toured some facilities jointly developed by the Taiwanese government and St. Lucian authorities.

“ We’re proud to offer our helping hands that produce fruitful results, and we certainly welcome wholeheartedly that Nigeria will also be joining this humanitarian and economic collaborations in the Caribbean area.

“We are extremely delighted to witness President Tinubu graciously receiving the conferment of Knight Commander of the Order of Saint Lucia (K.C.O.S.L.) in recognition of his efforts to strengthen ties between Africa and the Caribbean.

This has showcased His Excellency’s visionary exploration and escalation of Nigeria’s ever-growing international status, and his grand movements in deepening the collaboration with the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS)”.

Liu noted that Prime Minister Philip J. Pierre, whom President Tinubu met in St. Lucia, visited Taiwan in attending President Ching-Te Lai’s inauguration ceremony on May 20th, last year.

“Also, St. Lucia’s Senate President Madam Alvina Reynolds, that President Tinubu has met, visited Taiwan in attending our National Day Celebrations on October 10th, 2024. All these have demonstrated how cordially the diplomatic relations between Taiwan and St. Lucia have been, and our bilateral cooperations have truly showcased Taiwan is such an indispensable and healthy partner for St. Lucia, as well as other Carribean nations”.

He further said that Taiwan has survived the heavy pressure from across the Taiwan Strait, and flourished outstandingly in the world, democratically and economically on nation building.

Liu offered hands of fellowship saying “We the Taiwanese people are privileged to share our advanced know-how and technology to any country globally, so that we can work together in weathering through all sorts of challenges”.

While expressing his desire to strengthening of Nigeria-Taiwan relations, or in its shared diplomatic allies of St Lucia and the Carribean states, Liu said

"Taiwan remains ready to share its vast knowledge with Nigeria in various fields of comparative advantages, and we would appreciate deeply that His Excellency President Tinubu and Nigeria to view and regard Taiwan as a most advanced and developed, healthy partner, to build substantial relations, like what we have contributed and collaborated in Saint Lucia”.

At just 7 minutes before complete saturation, the stadium is still less than 10% full—mirroring how most people today remain unaware of the risks until it’s too late.

Hi Konquest.

I NEVER insinuated that someone who comes from a dysfunctional family would be bad marriage material. My comment was referring to the Charles Idibia family solely. I suffered from second hand embarrassment reading that letter because he keeps writing these letters and making it public, he also did same with Annie. One would wonder if he cannot channel this same energy and send these letters via a Bolt dispatch rider instead of washing the dirty linen of the family in public.

Benin jazz indeed. One would wonder if 2face is a toddler and doesn't have a mind of his own.

Lastly, I dislike foolish older people cos how can two grown men continue to embarrass themselves publicly like this.
Aha! I get what you're saying now.

So, Charles used to write open letters about Annie too? Based on what I deduced from that IG post by Charles, Innocent is someone who has been a soft guy right from time and he likes to help others BUT he also had ladies such as 'Pero and more flocking towards him and having kids for him.

Tbh, I was initially stunned and bit livid reading all Charles Idibia's innuendoes and use of defamatory language against Natasha based on alleged infractions because he was speaking as if he was there when Natasha was doing ALL he alleged she did. Charles looks like he's still in his 40s though... My concern here is more for Innocent who is 50 and without a shadow of doubt, he's going through some conflicting emotional trauma that has to be resolved. A man of that age must be able to take charge of situations and his young woman who is just in her early 30s. Most women subcontiously want their men to Iead. NO man with emotional intelligence of that age would allow his family members to insult his girlfriend or fiancee like that.

I propose that both Natasha and 2Baba should take time off from seeing each other and let Innocent go for paid professional therapy sessions in Lagos and whatever long-buried, unresolved emotions of the past will come out and he will begin to heal thereby enabling him to see with long-term CLARITY. I know a fantastic guy named 'Lanre Olusola (his father passed on in the FIRST EVER commercial plane crash in Lagos, Nigeria while flying back from London to Lagos in 1969) who can use advanced personality-enhancement strategies to resolve the situation. The problem really is with innocent

Natasha too MUST use her brain and ask herself if these are the kinds of potential in-laws she wants in life and learn to do thinks properly like the lawyer that she is instead of leaving room for random people to start talking and gossipping about her using the supposed Bini psychic manipulations to "hex" Innocent Idibia into stupor. Indeed, I enjoyed reading your further insights on this topic.

I don't see how ADC will topple Tinubu in the 2027 elections.

This opposition will simply compel him to double down more in terms of service delivery, and getting more governors under him.
You just spoke my mind as well. Great minds think alike. Indeed, with only 2 more years to go before 2027, I wonder where these dudes are getting their confidence that they can defeat Tinubu while citing alleged poor performance from a man who has ONLY used 2 years under an economy based of the removal of fuel subsidies.

The Nigerian President 'Bola Tinubu and his team will simply win re-elections in the 2027 election cycle by completing ALL the ongoing CNG infrastructure in all the 6 regions of Nigeria, fit all the trains with CNG as planned by Kayode Opeifa, etc, and these would literally crash the cost of transportation and food from the farmgates to the markets and malls.

Third, Lagos State is building in Epe the largest Agro Food Hub in Africa to preserve wet and dry food and hence prevent post-harvest loses. This would ALSO CLEARLY cut off middle men and crash the price of food sold in Lagos State to 50% of what it is now as announced in May 2025 by the first ever female Lagos State Commissioner for Agricultural. Other mini Agric Hubs exist in Idi Oro, Mushin and elsewhere where food items cost cheaper.

A whole lot more will be done in the area of restructuring with the planned constitutional amendments which would remove all the inneficiences which have held Nigeria down economically, security-wise, politically, socially and technologically for several decades.

Once these and more are done, the agitations by the Nigerian folks on the street level and the business ecosystem would change and people would be the ones to call on President Tinubu to run for 2027 instead of cursing him.

It would be foolish for him, 'Femi Gbaja, and the rest of his economic team NOT to see from 2025 the sense of urgency in dropping the price of food items using multiple strategies from CNG-FUELED haulage trucks to CNG-FUELED trains, etc, to crash the cost of transportation and food, which a lot of these folks largely complain affects their lives more due to lack of disposal income.
PoliticsRe: President Tinubu's Visit To St.lucia. The Benefits And The Long Game. by Konquest: 9:25pm On Jul 03, 2025
Image123:
It makes a sad commentary on the abject level of awareness of common currency social & political goings on in society by people who claim to have gone to school!

Abeg, let the savages stay savage! For those inclined to learn, here goes. It’s very short.

St. Lucia wears 2 hats: it’s a member of CARICOM (Caribbean Community). And hosts the HQ of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States.

CARICOM is like a Caribbean AU.

OECS is a tighter union; one currency & a shared central bank. Much like ECOWAS, but much more integrated.

Tinubu’s visit kills two birds with one stone. It’s courting both these Caribbean blocs at once.

Why does this matter?

CARICOM states sit squarely within the U.S. trade orbit.

Many OECS & CARICOM countries already have existing strong U.S. financial & logistical ties and preferential trade access to US markets.

These are mighty useful platforms for Nigeria to plug into, by mainly leveraging on a structure in which it is the largest shareholder.

Enter Afreximbank!

This is Africa’s trade and export bank. It was once Africa only, but now it includes Caribbean nations as formal partners.

It has already begun funding Caribbean projects.

Nigeria is both a major shareholder and top beneficiary in it.

At the 2025 Afreximbank AGM in Abuja recently, African-Caribbean leaders okayed key initiatives: to expand PAPSS (Pan-African Payment & Settlement System) supporting local-currency payments across the Atlantic. Also support diaspora investments, & Afro-Caribbean trade integration.

Through Afreximbank’s CANEX (Creative Africa Nexus) an ongoing program, real doors are already opening and more will open for: Afrobeats, Nollywood, African fashion etc are already benefiting!

The big picture!

This whole trip seems to plug Nigeria into the Caribbean grid; its U.S. links, cultural bridges, and trade frameworks, without having to build one from scratch.

That’s the real meaning of Tinubu’s visit. It’s admittedly a long game. But one that must start.

Of course there’ll still be lingering cynics, after all these.

I just pity them. They’ve have fallen inside a trap that affects ability to think or even dig deep.

For those who’ve read this far, I hope you find a niche to occupy in the opportunities that are likely to open up.

Nigeria can be terribly frustrating but each person owes it to her/himself to not become crippled by cynicism. It’s hard but doable. You should never allow it.

To the ones who just want a laugh at someone seemingly ‘defending’ a government they dislike, a word of advice:—
Even if you doubt all I say, just take the seeming trivia shared in the original post & note them.

They may prove the decider when you’re in tie, and a choice of that one person with that little extra je ne sais quoi has to be made, in a job opportunity situation.

Best wishes!

The Genesis.

https://x.com/GbenroAdegbola/status/1940282372269982162?t=ryEwNaaovf0Rt1TthBnBPg&s=19[/quote]Absolutely brilliant takes.

I followed the visit of the Nigerian President 'Bola Tinubu and it was done with CLEAR intentionality. St. Lucia is indeed the HQ of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECD) and a member of CARICOM which have direct business links with the United States through bilateral and multilateral trade agreements.

He indeed gave a very fantastic speech to the members of the St. Lucian Parliament and got a standing ovation at the end of the speech.
He ALSO proposed a visa waiver for all Caribbean nations by Nigeria while calling for them to reciprocate the gesture to Nigerians.

The deep level of trolling and IRRESPONSIBLE ethnic bigotry on this NL thread and Website threads since Tinubu's visit to St. Lucia shows once again that there are people actively working to destabilize Nigeria and her efforts simply because they want their own kinsman to be the President. It's time to ensure that those who are blatantly derailing threads and deliberately spreading massive disinformation online and offline to demarket those in political office are brought to justice for prosecution in the courts of law.

Slytiger:
A chieftain of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, and a key member of the opposition coalition, Nasir El-Rufai, has said a new political party would be registered as a back-up for the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

El-Rufai said the new party would be registered as an alternative option to counter potential infiltration by the All Progressives Congress, APC, into the ADC.

The opposition coalition adopted the ADC as its platform on Wednesday.

However, El-Rufai said there is a tendency that the APC might instigate crisis within the ADC by inciting old members against the new leadership.

He disclosed this in an interview with Radio France International (RFI) Hausa Service on Wednesday night.

“Those who refuse to join the APC face threats of investigations by agencies like the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission (ICPC), or Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB).

“The opposition parties’ alliance in the ADC is temporary, and we may register a new party as a second option, which we will move to should the ADC be instigated into crisis by the government,” the former Kaduna governor said.

These minority Fulani political hegemonists such as Atiku Abubakar, and Nasir are plotting underground moves knowing full well that the indigenous Hausas have woken up and are angrily speaking out in videos condemning Fulani domination of their Hausaland including the foreign Fulani herders and bandits killing Hausa people for years while displasing them from their lands.

The planned constitutional amendments in Nigeria MUST ensure that that political hegemony of the minority Fulani is broken completely. NO minority group of foreign origin has a right to dominate an indigenous majority in their own ancestral land

Indeed, based off of the earlier brilliant response that Wike's spokesperson, 'Lere Olayinka published, in the ENTIRE 2 districts of Asokoro and Maitama, there is NO WHERE you will find any land of 2,000 hectares! It simply doesn't exist. ONLY tribal bigots and the highly uneducated with VERY poor comprehension do NOT realize that 2,000 hectares of land for farming doesn't exist physically in Asokoro and Maitama combined! NON

This is a CLEAR EVIDENCE that there is a gang of people from the political opposition in Nigeria, (especially with the planned political coalition) who are deliberately spreading massive disinformation online through outlets such as Omoyele Sowere's Sahara Reporters, P/Gazette, paid ipob troll farms, some YouTubers, random bloggers, etc, to destabilize Nigeria. Other FAKE news are circulating online in form of a recent video on "plantain chips" for 2027 elections and it's time for the Department of State Security and other intelligence agencies to totally take down those doing these and bring them to justice in court.

The allegations were obviously FABRICATED to smear Wike's image as part of a wider propaganda attack against the ruling APC party in Nigeria. The intelligence agencies MUST dig deep to unravel those spinning FAKE news online and offline and stiffer laws must kick in to guard against destabilizing Nigeria by these political hegemonists. Period.
