ndala:
True Fact! They get square watermelons by growing them inside of square glass cases. That way they can fit easily into a refrigerator, and you can stack things on them. Square watermelons are expensive though (10,000 yen or about $82).

Compare that to regular round watermelons which cost about $15-20 in Japan.
Bump.

Whoa! Gotta fact-check this.

Don't mind the people attacking you. I have been preaching this for years. I don't use it even if I am cooking a drum of stew. I only use it for party jollof. In fact, I hate to see it!!

Balance your fresh tomatoes, tatashe, shombo and scotch bonnets. I will say ratio 8:4:2:x... scotch bonnet (x) to your tolerance level.

The trick to a badass stew is rich stock, onions, garlic, LITTLE ginger, curry and thyme. Majority of Nigerians do not use this in their stew na why e dey be like stew na luck.
I haven't made a bad stew in 6 years.

Don't dice/slice your onions, rough blend it with your thyme. Fry first before putting in your tomatoes mix and bay leaf. Allow to fry on low heat until all the water is gone. Put in your meat stock, seasoning and protein. Allow to boil again.
Deep insights.

Saved.

TimeManager:
Dangote Cement takes delivery of hundreds of CNG trucks, announces plans to convert 7,000 diesel trucks by end of 2026.

Currently, Dangote Group has 3,100 mono-fuel CNG trucks in its fleet, from 1,500 as of last October.

Last October, it announced it has invest $280m in CNG technology, other infrastructures to support Tinubu’s CNG initiative.

Dangote Cement PLC (DCP) has announced plans to convert its fleet of over 7,000 trucks from Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), commonly known as diesel, to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) by the end of 2026.

Arvind Pathak, the Group Managing Director of Dangote Cement PLC made this known on Tuesday May 27th 2025 at the 2025 edition of Dangote Cement’s Customers Awards & Gala Nite held in Lagos.

“In line with DCP’s commitment to sustainability and the country’s clean fuel policy, we are transitioning our fleet of over 7,000 trucks from AGO to CNG by the end of 2026. We are making significant investments in new CNG trucks and the necessary infrastructure to support this transition.

He adds that : “Currently, 3,100 trucks are operational, and our initiatives in alternative fuel utilisation have gained global recognition, with Dangote Cement receiving a commendable score from CDP in climate change and water security.”

On Thursday May 29th 2025, the company also announced the arrival of hundreds of CNG-powered trucks, twenty-eight (28) of which were presented to its top dealers at the 2025 edition of Dangote Cement’s Customers Awards & Gala Nite.

Last October, the company announced it has invested over $280 million (₦460 billion) in Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) technology and other infrastructures to support President Bola Tinubu’s Presidential CNG Initiative (PCNG-i).

At the time, Pathak stated that :

“This move marks a significant milestone in Dangote’s clean energy transition, to operate most of its fleet on CNG by mid-2026. As of October, the company has received its first batch of 1,500 mono-fuel CNG trucks while expecting an additional 1,600 CNG trucks, totalling 3,100 before the end of the year.”

“By mid-2026, Dangote Cement aims to operate a fleet predominantly powered by CNG. To facilitate this transformation, we are investing in expanding our CNG fueling infrastructure, ensuring that our growing fleet has reliable access to CNG as our fuel.’’

I’d love so much to visit Nigeria, but snakes on the front page always scare me. I grew up in an area without snakes. I’ve only seen them at the zoo especially the size on the picture above. I don’t like those things close to me. Not forgetting that in Africa one can die quickly if bit by the snake, because many government hospitals lack antidote for the venom.
@Beey

What region of Kenya did you grow up in that had no snakes? It's quite interesting you say that because Kenya is well-known globally for the safaris and wild life environment with some wild lions even straying right into the outer limits of Nairobi from the nearby game reserves a few years back.

These snakes (venomous and non-venomous) are all over Australia (where the most poisonous snakes on Earth exist), African, Asian, and South American countries. Some of these snakes are ALSO very good swimmers. "Nat Geo Wild" opened my eyes to how deft a lot of wild animals can be. When I'm near a river or lake, I don't just move right in because there could be vicious Crocs in it waiting for prey.

Indeed, the lack of anti-venoms in some locations in Africa, Asia, and South America is what should keep everyone at full alert. There could be anti-venoms in a healthcare facility but it will NOT work for a different specie of snakes that bite you.

Ranked: Top 25 Countries With the Highest Life Expectancy

Life expectancy is one of the clearest indicators of any country’s quality of life and overall well-being.

The world’s average life expectancy, estimated to be around 73 years in 2024, has been increasing steadily, up from 66 years in the year 2000. However, some countries stand out for their exceptional longevity.

This infographic highlights the top 25 countries by average life expectancy at birth, while also breaking it down by gender to show the gaps between female and male populations. The data comes from the UN’s World Population Prospects portal.

Where Do People Live the Longest?
The majority of the top 25 countries by life expectancy, a total of 16 countries, are in Europe. The small, rich country of Monaco tops the list with residents living an average of 86.5 years, and women living more than 88 years.

Many of the countries where people live the longest also have high per-capita healthcare spending as they improve access and quality of their healthcare systems.

Close behind Monaco are San Marino (85.8 years) and Hong Kong (85.6 years), both of which offer high standards of living and healthcare systems. Other high-ranked Asian countries include Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, marking a total of four countries from the continent in the top 10.

Additionally, small European countries are prevalent on the list. High-income nations such as Andorra, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Malta, and the Vatican are renowned for their low crime rates and high quality of life.

Meanwhile, Australia is the only country outside of Europe and Asia to crack the top 10, with a life expectancy of 84.1 years.

Do Women Live Longer than Men?
Women outlive men in every country on the top 25 list.

Across all 25 countries, women live an average of 4 years longer than men. The gender life expectancy gap is especially large in places like France (5.6 years), South Korea (6.0 years), and Japan (6.1 years).

This gender gap is largely due to a mix of biological and behavioral factors—newborn boys and youths have higher mortality rates than girls, and women are also less likely to engage in high-risk behaviors as compared to men.

I made moin-moin for the first time a few weeks ago and let me tell you, I've found my new favourite food! The only difficult part is getting the skin off the black-eyed beans with your hands, pheew! But once you get past that part, the process becomes much more enjoyable and fun. I made my own containers using aluminium foil too. I've heard some people use bean flour to make things easier, but I want to be making it from scratch and won't be using bean flour. Oh, how I love moin-moin! I love eating beans in general, so this is a more fun way to eat one of my favourite foods.

Do you like moyin-moyin? Have you made it yourself before? How often do you eat it?

What methods do you use to remove the skin? Do you have tricks that make it easier for you to do so?

[b]What types of meat do you put in the mix? How long do you cook your moyin-moyin?

LGA funds for Ileya Ime subsidy. Smh.

Is Holy Qur’an teachings not against buying ram if you can't afford it? So why subsidise eid ram with LGA funds?

It is understandable if he's using his personal funds but using LGA funds to give N125K subsidy on eid rams for 1,000 rams costing N125 million tax payers seems somehow. N125m is a lot of money o! He wasn't elected to subsidize eid ram and Christmas chickens. Odi Olowo has public primary schools in need of functional libraries with educational books, sick bays, furniture etc. The funds, if recovered, should go to these public primary schools.

I think the EFCC should help recover the funds used for this ram subsidy and government should look at this kind of expenditure during our religious festivals now that Supreme Court has ordered the direct release of funds to LGAs.

We didn't remove petrol and electricity subsidies and introduce students loan for indigent students in order to free funds to LGAs for use in subsidizing eid rams and Christmas chickens consumption and marriage dowry like we have in the North.

There must be strict fiscal guidelines in the expenditure of LGA funds. Supreme Court should please help us again to ensure its ruling clearly forbids this kind of expenditures. I know the Governors had been doing this and we complained against it , we need to complain against LGAs too.

Religion is a rewarding personal devotion to your faith and calls for personal sacrifices like buying your own eid rams, giving offerings etc from what Allah had blessed you with. It's not a tax on others who don't practice your faith to fund or bear for you.
Succinct put.

Historic, as Nigeria signs an agreement to build the first Nigeria AI Scaling Hub backed up by $7.5 million funding by the Bill Gates Foundation.

The Honorable Minister of Communications, Innovations and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani made this known on Tuesday 3, 2025.

In his tweet, he said:
"A few weeks before my appointment as Minister, I had the privilege of moderating a powerful conversation with @BillGates and young African innovators. Artificial Intelligence featured strongly that day — alongside a clear call to strengthen the innovation ecosystem to unlock Africa’s full potential.

Today, mid-way into President @officialABAT’s administration, I had the honour of welcoming Mr. Gates, Paulin Basinga, Uche Amaonwu, Bunmi Okunowo and the incredible Gates Foundation team to my office.

Our conversation was rich — anchored on two pillars critical to Nigeria’s future: Connectivity and Artificial Intelligence.

We concluded the visit with something truly historic — the signing of an agreement to establish the Nigerian AI Scaling Hub, backed by up to US$7.5 million in funding and expertise from the Foundation. This initiative will help accelerate the application of AI in healthcare, agriculture, and education — critical sectors where impact matters most to everyday Nigerians.

This moment means a lot — personally and nationally. I’m grateful for the trust, collaboration, and shared belief that Nigeria can lead, not just in adopting technology, but in shaping it to solve real problems.

Thank you, Mr. Gates and team.

The work continues.

#NigerianExcellence."

That's an impressive plan.

Kudos to Bill Gates.

Be patient and allow investigations to conclude.

That was how otokoto started but turned out to be false allegations.
Your post right ABOVE is totally historically misleading! There is a popular photograph of one of the male human ritualists in that gross Owerri Otokoto hotel ritual murder of 1996 holding the detached head of that boy who was killed in the hotel.

You are obviously a younger person in age who didn't witness the Otokoto incident first-hand or you are just simply trying to deflect attention from real history. Back in the 1990s, the Otokoto case and other ritual killings of human beings in Owerri and environs were real and the culprits were nabbed and dealt with according to the law. Some of them faced the firing squad.

The ritual killings in that Otokoto hotel was a national and global news issue back then and most of the human ritualists were NOT even indigenes of Owerri but outsiders from other Ibo-speaking States or communities living in Owerri with their ill-gotten money, mansions, hotels, and luxury cars.

Do NOT rewrite history and learn to get your FACTS right. Period.

Enugu native doctor, Ezeani, dedicating his newborn twins to the gods has surfaced online amid his arrest over alleged human rituals.
Some of his ethnic kinsmen and defenders on one of the threads said he is a "strong Christian." These people tell lies a lot thinking they are smart BUT they aren't. This is indeed laughable.

When Jonathan is the president, dem tie his hands, legs and mouth to make the moves that will let states control their resources?

The funny thing is that if Tinubu make a move that will make the states start controlling their resources, if the north is against it, most of your people
will join the north and move against it.

A lot of igbos on nairaland and twitter totally supported and cheered northern politicians who were against Tinubu's tax reform. Northern politicians were against it because of the way the money will be shared among the states and LG.

Another win for Mr Tinubu's government.

Mr Tinubu has also succeeded in increasing crude oil production from 1 million barrels per day under Mr Buhari to over 1.5 million barrels per day.

Yet a group of losers who were part and parcel of Mr Buhari's government claim they want Mr Tinubu out in 2027.

NaijaphiliaBlog:
In April 2025, Nigeria’s Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) exports hit 83,370 million standard cubic feet (mmscf), which is the highest achieved in the last 15 months.

The massive increase in exports is being driven by renewed international demand for gas in Asia, Europe, and some other parts of the world.

As at January 2025, Nigeria holds substantial natural gas reserves estimated at 210.54 trillion cubic feet (Tcf).

Looking forward in the medium to long term, nascent projects such as the Trans-Saharan Gas Pipeline and the Nigeria-Morocco Gas Pipeline, could further raise the country’s exports to international markets.

Nigeria LNG Limited (NLNG) was incorporated 17 May 1989 to exploit Nigeria’s natural gas resources in order to produce Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Natural Gas Liquids (NGLs) for export, thereby reducing gas flaring/diversifying the economy.

The company is owned by four shareholders:

Federal Government of Nigeria represented by Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Limited: 49%
Shell: 25.6%
TotalEnergies Gaz & Électricité Holdings France: 15%
Eni: 10.4%

NLNG also has 2 subsidiaries: Bonny Gas Transport (BGT) Limited and NLNG Ship Management Limited (NSML).

omojeesu:
Bill Gates is one of the most influential and controversial figures of our time. Here's a closer look:

Background:
▪️ Comes from a family with ties to eugenics.
▪️ Did not personally develop the core technology behind Microsoft.
▪️ Amassed wealth through aggressive monopolistic practices.
▪️ Reinvented himself as a "philanthropist" to obscure deeper motives.

Current Influence:
▪️ As the largest funder of the WHO after the U.S., he wields significant influence over global health policies.
▪️ Invests heavily in vaccines while advocating for mandates.
▪️ Promotes population control through "health programs."
▪️ Finances projects aimed at weather modification and sunlight reduction.
▪️ Supports the implementation of digital ID systems to enable widespread monitoring.

Underlying Objectives:
▪️ Advocates for population control through vaccines and food systems.
▪️ Drives the development of digital currency and ID systems for mass surveillance.
▪️ Promotes mRNA technologies that could alter human biology.
▪️ Engages in weather and climate modification for undisclosed purposes.

Gates' so-called "philanthropy" is a carefully constructed strategy for control and profit. For every $1 he "donates," his investments yield returns as high as $20.
Despite having no medical qualifications, he has positioned himself as a global health authority, promoting unproven technologies in vulnerable communities. The media remains silent due to significant funding from his foundation, effectively ensuring favorable coverage while concealing his true agenda, which mirrors a dystopian vision straight out of Orwell's worst fears.

This was how you people deceived him from your dot states. Which APC is Fubara joining?

APC has two factions in Rivers State. One is led by Pro-Amaechi followers the other is led by Pro-Wike followers. Should he join Pro-Amaechi he by default is against Tinubu.
He can't join the pro-Wike without Wike's approval.

Fubara presently is seeing spirits not just spirit. The Sole Adm has discovered some fraudulent transactions that are being flashed before him. Fubara would prefer a safe landing to going back to be governor.

When he said his spirit has left the government house did you think it was a joke?
Succinctly stated.
