I don't think we need to flog this issue. Lawyers do what pleases you like Elfmann said and kindly share your result. You can go through this post for https://www.nairaland.com/iphie25/posts culled from Page 0. You can also see my GCMS note which is attached. My CRS score for ITA was about 469 or so Wishing you all the best.

Were they kind to share their GCMS notes with you to see that the final assessment by the VO was with a Masters degree. Let's dont lead others falsely. I took the risk because i knew either way, i was above the cut off for that ITA. CanadianWasp: IRCC states clearly "enter the highest degree for which you had an educational credential assessment if you studied outside Canada" and went on to list law as a professional degree for which a license is required to practice. In this case, your highest degree is llb which you have gone on to evaluate. IRCC didn't say it must compare with a professional degree by Canadian standards. So yeah, doesn't matterwhat WES compares it to. It is still a professional degree.
BTW, I know some people who have gotten copr claiming points for masters with their WES bachelor's evaluation. |

Let's avoid confusing the issue. Like i did in my own, if you think you know better, kindly go ahead and evaluate yours as you deem fit. CIC statest classifies law as a professional course but it uses the ECA evaluation to group. This was further revealed in my GCMS note. You might also wish to note that i requested for explanation as regards their evaluation and received this reply: Thank you for contacting us with your concerns.
The main criteria that World Education Services considers when assessing a foreign credential is the structure, scope, level and intent of the program. Those factors are expressed in terms of admission requirements to the program, the content and structure of the program, and the function that the foreign credential is designed to serve in the home country. Based on our findings, it is the opinion of World Education Services that your Bachelor of Law degree and your Certificate of Call to the Bar are comparable to a bachelor’s degree (four years) and postgraduate diploma (one year) in Canada.
We reviewed your evaluation report and confirmed that it is correct. We would like to emphasize that WES evaluations are advisory opinions and not binding upon any institution or organization.
Sincerely,
Director of EvaluationsAs pointed out earlier, WES does not have a good evaluation for our LawCanadianWasp: This is because the llb and bl certificates were evaluated together. A professional law degree is a professional law degree and even if WES evaluates llb as a 3 year bachelors, it is still a law degree for which points for masters can be claimed. My point is, if using WES, evaluate only your llb. pcachuks: Doesn't matter if you use WES or IQAS. Law bachelor degree is seen as a professional degree by CIC. Find below information from Canada web site. |

Yes please. weckl: Thanks for sharing. Do you mean you also included the law school certificate for the evaluation with WES that made it postgraduate diploma? |

The summary for both is attached. IQAS has a better evaluation for Law than WES. weckl: Congratulations. Please i will like know if your spouse LLNB

I’m so grateful to God for this. Patience was at another level and prayers too. I would like to go straight to key points: 1. This group provides all the information you will need. We wrote IELTS in Nov 2016. My spouse, the PA, had 7.5 in Listening. We were told it was fine but we all know what that meant. That made us go to BC two more times. 2. My spouse is a lawyer. Folks here will remember I asked that if lawyers, despite being accessed as two or more certificate by WES can still input as Entry to professional/Masters as written on CIC site. So, Despite ours being accessed as two or more certificate, we choose to use Masters. When we received our GCMS notes, we realized that two or more certificate was used and our CRS dropped, though higher than the cut off ITA at that time. Please use the correct WES evaluation

Have you order GCMS note and observed the part that says no changes from application to e-APR. That shows they really look into these details that you are giving less attention to grammy010: I don't think that's actually a misrepresentation given that he didnt even attempt to claim it based on the documents submitted. That was just an oversight because the VO won't have even know anything if he had attempted to claim 3+ years, all he would have done is to combine the two reference letters as one and make it between 2014 -2017 at a go without that gap which he clearly didnt. |

Uncle sir... Issokay cmoney22222: Its better you goy a ND and HND for the assessment. However, if you jus evaluated the OND, you would not have a very good point. Finally, if you have age on your side this might help a lil with acing the english exam. You can use the canadian PR point calculator to check your scores |

Hi, I'm not saying that you did not check nor am I saying that you checked. But you should see something about simulating your scores, or check if you are eligible all on Page 0. The first thing about this journey is for you to be able to sift the information(s) you need out of the many that you come across. I wish you well. v3: I have done that, i see nothing there related to the question i asked. Perhaps, if you could answer it here, i'll be grateful.
Thanks! |
