I want to know how you do this? Thanks for being ever effective. GlitteringStar: 1. Read this post.
2. You can collect your reference letter(s) before entering the pool. However, for your current job, it is advisable that the reference letter shouldn't be more than three months old.
3. @Cochtrane answered the question in this post. |

Wow... congrats boldinc: PPR came through yesterday guys...
EE Profile – September 2, 2016 CRS - 468 1st ITA – January 11 Withdrawn – April 11 2nd ITA – April 13 AOR – July 11 Med Passed – July 24 IP1 – July 24 NA2 – July 24 We do not need additional documents – Sep 8 IP2 – December 6 ADR – December 7 (Consent form from daughter’s mum) ADR Submitted – December 8 PPR – December 14
My application was straight forward... Wife was PA, Wrote IELTS just once... spouse too, did another naija PCC (only PCC required) when submitting for 2nd ITA, POF was just a simple letter from co-operative society from my wife's company, I didn't need to do ECA. I added my daughter from another woman and I got an ADR for a consent letter which her mum did willingly without issues.
Everyone that got ITA alongside myself and even after have all gotten PPR and some have even landed... @vcole, @SlowelybtSurely @40malappy and so on...
The race is not for the Swift... Keep your goal in mind and do all it takes to achieve it. Cross all the Hurdles (Poor IELTS results, ECA delays, Rejections, etc) with your head up and chest out. Aim for the finish line... Stay Prayerful!
I wish everyone all the best! ... I'll be glad to answer any questions you might have. |

Newmum0615: My people, please help me out. Newmum0615: Good morning my people, please I need answers to these questions. 1. Can I modify an info on my profile post-ITA but before eAPR? I realized I mixed up my job titles. Can I do it now before I continue my application, the way I could before the ITA came or must I continue the application, modify the info then save and exit till when I am fully ready to submit my application at the end of January? And will I need to include an LOE to explain why I am changing the title names? I am already planning to change my NOC post-ITA. dont have an answer to this 2. Hubby's passport bears only his first name and surname, no middle name. I entered the pool with it like that, but I want to know if I can change it to reflect his middle name since we have an affidavit covering his middle name. Must his name be entered exactly the way it is on his travel document or can an affidavit be uploaded to show the reason for the disparity? Post ITA when filling your spouse profile, there is a question if you have used a name before. If you select yes to this, you will get a placeholder for spouse for you to upload an affidavit. If you havent submitted e-apr, you can still modify it.
Biko, help me answer. Thanks. |

Congrats knightfemi: Silent reader here. I am glad to announce we got our Passport Request (PPR) today!!! Hopefully this will encourage those in waiting.
More details below:
Family Composition: 3 - Myself, Spouse and Daughter Travel History: UK, USA, Spain, Italy, Germany, Qatar, UAE, Hungary... the list goes on and irrelevant. Acknowledgement of Receipt: 28 April 2017 Medical Passed: Mid- June 2017 (We sorted our medicals few weeks before AOR) Background Check (NA1): August 2017 Additional Document Request: 2nd August 2017 (Schedule A for spouse) Background Check (IP1): Mid-August 2017 File Transferred to London VO: 5th September 2017 Background Check (NA2): September 2017 Background Check (IP2): 5th December 2017 Passport Request (PPR): 5th December 2017
The entire process from AOR to PPR took 221days. The wait was very frustrating for us as it took much longer than the average processing time, it got even worse when we read how London VO keep files in their queue for much longer than expected. We are however grateful to the Almighty for seeing us through to the finish line before the end of the year.
Wishing those still waiting the very best in this journey. Cheers |

Got a little Information as regards Nigeria PCC that it can be extended.
Got a wrong advice early that made me process the PCC even before i started WES. Your guess is right, the 3 month elapsed. So i called the person that processed it and he told me he can be extended. And he gave me a new one today.
I just gave him the old one and another cover page was written.
Just thought to share |

Congrats Santino1 Santino1: Congratulations to everyone that got their desired IELTS score today. Following up on the happy mood, I received my COPR today. Below is the details of my application:
WES: 20th September. (MSc Degree)
IELTS: 23rd September (CLB 10)
EOI Submitted: 24th September (CRS 496)
ITA: 4th October
eAPR: 5th October
Medical Passed: 16th October
BG IP1: 18th October
BG NA2: 31st October
BG IP2: 7th October
PPR: 12th November
Passport sent: 14th November
Passport/COPR received: 24th November.
As suggested by cochtrane. Itemised below is what is peculiar about my application:
1. Proof of funds: I submitted a single-page document following the cic guideline. I know some usually advised to even attach six months SOA. Personally, I think it is unnecessary so long you have a document from your bank drafted according to the cic template. My motto has always been KISS (keep it simple and straightforward). Also, a few threads earlier, someone asked if he/she should explain why the money is in US dollars. Well, my POF was in SFr. and it was fine.
2. Medical Examinations: A couple of days after I submitted my application, I went for medicals even without ITA (I was a bit confident I'd secure ITA at the next draw). During the exam, the panel physician thought I might have inguinal hernia and suggested I see a visceral surgeon. After running a couple of MRIs, the specialist scheduled me for surgery two days later. The operation went well and my health insurance picked up the tab including the medical exam which was kind of nice because the exam was about SFr. 700. The major take away of this point is that surgery (either new or prior) doesn't affect your application (at least in my case) as long as it is not critical.
3. Reference letters: I work at a university so my case was kinda weird. The HR gave me a reference letter that covers pretty much everything required by cic except job description. The HR personnel said they can't give me a reference with job description as they are not directly overseeing me and I should contact my advisor for that. Now the problem is I'm working on several proposals to secure funding for my Post-Doc and didn't want to jeopardise that. Here comes the important part, the LOE. Your LOE is perhaps the single most important document that you have absolute control over. Please use your LOE to your full benefit (even if takes you 100 pages to thoroughly prove the veracity of your claims beyond doubt). e.g. Part of my job description for my NOC includes "publishing findings in scientific journal". So I listed all my publications and provided links to the various online articles.
All in all, please treat all info you get on this thread as "for educational and informational purposes" only as the only official channel (as Canadianfly and other senior members constantly advise) still remains the cic website.
Finally, I can't fail to acknowledge the great efforts of the contributors and the e-friends I have made along the PR journey including (but not limited to) 40manlappy, cochtrane, perks, mummyjaygirls, GlisteringStar, Canadianfly, Hephgirl (I hope she's alright), Algbenguze, einsteino, elfmann, aig84 and numerous others I can't mention.
Thanks and good luck to you all.
Apologies for the long epistle. |

Ennyluv: Good day house, pls I have a question and I will be glad if anyone can put me through. We are planning to apply for this Canadian express entry, I as the wife holds a bachelor degree in geography and planning but I have been working as a security officer for the past 7years, I'm 34years old. My husband Is a teacher but he has NCE, Bachelor of education and master of public administration but he's already 40years old. My question is, can I be the principal applicant considering age factor?
Assuming you do not have any siblings in Canada and both of you write IELTS obtaining a minimum of 8777 in LRWS Hubby has 415 while you have 408 points.
But my fear is the fact that my working experience is different from my degree, though saw something like security when I checked NOC. Someone should pls put me through. Thanks |
