In regards to political insight, at least for now, Igbos have better insight. They saw the disaster of Buhari even when he offered them the VP spot, they still voted against him both times. Unlike the ethnicity who call themselves politically sophisticated, Igbos did not go back on their stand and still maintain it till this very day despite the discrimination against them by Buhari. They have not gone back on their words unlike some people.

We came here for a Presidential debate, not a candidacy debate, and I, Atiku Abubakar can not challenge or question an administration where the man at the helm of the affairs of the nation is not present to defend himself or his policies. After all you cannot shave a man's head in his absence. I do not believe in attacking a man who is NOT here to defend himself. As a leader and former vice president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, let me first apologise to all Nigerians, my fellow candidates and the moderator for the the APC Presidential Candidates absence in this debate. His non-appearance is a slight on ALL of us and our democracy.

Secondly, with all due respect to my fellow candidates, Fela Durotoye, Oby Ezekwesili, Kingsley Moghalu and to the moderator Mark Sugar and with apologies to all Nigerians here and at home expecting an interesting debate, I regret that I will not be able to go on with this debate due to President Buhari's absence.

I however challenge President Buhari to choose a date and time for a debate where he will be present and I will be there, hopefully with the other candidates as well.

They asked for billions for the election. What did you think it was for? What election preparation cost billions? In last APC visit to Rivers, they paid 2k each to anyone that showed up. I know that personally because I was among the people they paid. It's not only that, if they have your number, you'll get contacted to come to whatever state they going to to campaign in. If you're willing to travel, depending on the distance determines how much they pay you. I learned about that because a friend was among the people in Warri's crowd. He said they paid him almost 10k just for that trip. Neither of us are APC supporters.

He evaded going in 2015 and he'll surely do it again. We all have witnessed how smart Buhari is. My dog is smarter than Buhari. I'm sure a vegetable is smarter than Buhari. He has nothing upstairs. He's avoiding the debate for a reason and everyone is aware what the reason is.

He is the CJN, he should show the lawless leaders, esp, PMB, how it is done. Also, I believe the case is DOA as it did not follow the due process.



You are right, it is political and the timing, very wrong. That's why I said the case is likely DOA since the NJC did not deliberate on the matter.

He should shown him how it's done when we all know PMB does not listen to any court decision that does not favour his own decision. You want him to risk both his freedom, and possibility his life considering the desperation of Buhari and his team. After the election, he can persue whatever legal means they want but until then, he should stay grounded not just for the protection of Nigeria's democracy but also that of his life. We know the reason why they brought this accusation out and we all know the extent they'll go.
