TravelRe: Bored! Is There Any Young Nigerian In Baltimore, MD Area? by kpolli(m): 9:33am On Jul 15, 2013
Yvete: There are a lot of Nigerians in Baltimore. Its easier if you attend events, African music concerts or parties. Stop by African grocery stores to pick up flyers or check what's up. Aside facebook, that's how we promote our stuff; by placing flyers/posters in stores. You should meet cool people out there! cool
Too many Nigerians sef

Honestly speaking, I don't think your a bad child....

It's hard saying this but I honestly don't think your mother is good....

Well I won't advice u to forget ur mother, so call her often just to check up on her.... dazzall

If u succumb, u would end up like her and the cycle would continue... It's good to rebel sometimes... wink

olarwarlay: My interview experience......

Got to the embassy some minutes to 7, forgot to drop my phone with my brother so i had to go back looking for him and that took sometime. Finally got back for the security check and all other stuffs. Got in after all the rigorous checks and had to sit and wait for my ticket number to show up. Let me quickly add that i had Sanyeri sitting right beside me and we chatted till my number showed on the screen grin grin, he's a cool guy...

Was interviewed by the Nigerian woman in Window 5, she was asking lots of questions from applicants but would issue visa if you answer well. After placing my fingers for the prints,

VO: Where is your school in the US
Me: Minnesota
VO: When did you finish high school?.
Me: 2005 (i already planned to add my diploma program to fill up the space, but something told me not to)
VO: And what have you been doing since then?.
Me: I obtained a diploma in business and commercial law at University of Jos in 2009(and then stopped again)
VO: And what else?.
Me: I then joined (named my brother's company) in 2010 and work there as the Logistics Analyst.
VO: Did you take any standardized test?.
Me: Yes i took the TOEFL test and the SAT exams
VO: What was your SAT score
Me: I boldly told her, 1270 [s](I know i fumbled in the exam 'coz i wasn't so chanced to read for it, but i said it with confidence)[/s]
VO: Why do you need a degree in Business Administration?
Me: I have a basic legal understanding of business and will like to add on new skills for effective operations and distribution strategy so as to advance professionally here in Nigeria...(Yvete, God bless you for this grin)
VO: Do you have your WAEC result here?.
Me: Yes
VO: Can i see it?
Me: I gave her and then she asked for the online printout, told her i didn't bother printing it out online again since i have the originals.
VO: Tell me the names of the schools you applied to
Me: Minnesota State Uni, Arizona State Uni, Murray State Uni, Georgia State Uni
VO: Why didn't you apply to any Nigerian University?
Me: No reason, i just didn't apply to any because i already got admissions in the US
VO: Who's sponsoring you?
Me: My brother
VO: What does he do?
Me: He's into telecommunications and a trade partner with MTN Nigeria and Globacom Nigeria(quickly explained what exactly he does for both company)
VO: Checks through her system(i guess she was looking at my ds160) and asked, so you work for your brother right?.
Me: Yes, i do
VO: Do you have any relative in the US?
Me: No, i don't.
VO: Okay, if you feel you are been treated against your rights in the US then you'll need the info on this handbill. Hands me the pick up paper, retained my passport and told me to pick on thursday.
Me: Thank you very much Ma and have a nice day ahead.

Notes:- The only thing she asked to see was my waec certificate. She didn't check my admission letter, statement of account, letter of sponsorship or my not so good SAT score report. cheesy

To all prospective applicants, please pray very well ooo. I prayed like tomorrow wasn't gonna come, fasted for almost 21 days prior to my interview and didn't blink my eye all through yesterday night. All i was praying to God to give me was his favor and a sweet testimony.

While you are waiting for your number on the screen, calm your spirit and just keep thanking God in advance.

I pray everyone else gets their visa approved in Jesus name.

God bless Imperiouxx, Yvete, GboyegaD, OjaP, Kpolli, Lisadem, Seunbunmi, Babsharon, and everyone else on the thread that i can't remember to mention now...

You guys Rock!!! wink grin
Congrats bro

olisaokere: I keep telling dudes who trust girls so much this same thing. There is no difference between a normal chick and a prostitute.A girl might be your normal girlfriend but to the next man she is simply a prostitute simply because he has seen her in the act with other men severally but which obviously you have failed to see.Another thing here is,if a girl who happens to be in a relationship with a dude but still have other dates simply defines herself a prostitute or should i say promiscous.Exchange of money for sex doesnt really define whos a prostitute.I can authoritatively tell you all that no girl in this country who doesnt have more than one relationship.Thats the simple truth and dont shy away from that.Married women these day dey shag these days outside marital home not to talk of single ladies.Abegi!
Hmm... Deep

Started the movement but wasn't the pilot..... I respect him for going to jail but he didn't end anything... The ppl who ended it are no where to be seen but he got all the glory...
get a jacket or a mediumly thick blanket...its cold inside the air plane and a 18 hour flight will only make it colder.

bring your own food...because that crap they serve on board will not be enough that's if you are able to stomach it...

Cash
...yeah i know this is obvious but most people don't....sometimes the plane has to do an emergency landing because of bad weather....and it could take hours before another clear cloud roles through...and if you don't have cash....you gonna be hurting....

and if you can try and get a seat all they way in the back...because they always try and fill up the plane from the front to the back...so sometime the back is empty...
From front to back ke.... Which airline?
PoliticsRe: After Mandela, Who Is The Next Greatest African Alive? by kpolli(m): 9:06am On Jun 27, 2013
Techwriter: I don't know your definition of greatness but for me the greatest man alive by human standard is Nelson Mandela. He is greatly respected by his friends and even enemies. I'm just wondering who seconds him in Africa. Well in my opinion OBJ or Pst. Adeboye of Nigeria should fit into that position judging by their unprecedented achievements in life. You may not like them but it has not stopped their achievement or influence

This is my opinion, tell me yours
What is your own definition of greatness? Someone who just stayed in jail until his wife fought for his freedom then divorced her... Is that a sign of greatness?

Mehn u need to get the true story, not the lies they told us while growing up

HealthRe: Is My New Pregnancy Affecting My First Child? by kpolli(m): 2:28pm On Jun 21, 2013
LadyCCP: Hey people, please help me out with this mystery. I am less than two months pregnant and have a 15month old son. For the past one month he has being acting funny. He wasn't sick as in malaria or typhoid because did lab tests for him when he started acting like this. He has his own room but my hubby and I feel he is too little to be sleeping alone so he sleeps with is on the bed beside me. Since I got pregnant, he has been restless at night, even to the point of gathering saliva in his mouth like a pregnant woman during the day. He is also now extremely clingy and cries alot now and now hardly lets his dad carry him. All this drama started in the last one month. We even had to treat him recently for malaria and typhoid just to clear any doubt. He is not stooling or vomiting, He is eating well but just restless.

The lady in his daycare centre asked me if I am pregnant, that my pregnancy is what is affecting him, she then advised that I should stop sleeping beside him. I asked my mum and she said it affects some children. I am hearing this for the first time and it weird to me.

Did any one of you experience this? How did you cope with the situation?
It's cos of ur dirty husband from the other topic wink
