First joke is an old Warri joke; second an old joke we all heard; third joke is dry(which have heard b4); fourth, fifth n sixth have been on punch newspaper so many times it is so stale, sevemth is heard n certified dry... Every other jokes shouldn't be called jokes

imperiouxx: International is optional when getting any plan. Therefore, you've to pay for it separately. Prepaid isn't an inch better than monthly plan. There is $29.98 monthly plan for 1500 minutes (local call + text) on Tmobile.
I didn't even know there was a prepaid plan... Thought the closest to prepaid was the monthly plan

So Lagos wants to take over the toll gate, meaning they chop the money and the road gets left how it is.... So the so called expansion and renovation would be halted... I smell corruption

flynbird: Ok Sir! Does the plan include long distance calls? Or I'll have to get a special plan for long distance calls?
I read on another thread (Student life in USA) that prepaid is better off than others so I was kinda confused.
No it doesn't

Mamacita007: When u arrive in school, tell people u braid hair & start charging low for more customers. Im making enough money from braiding every weekend than my campus job. Some saturdays i cover up to 5 heads depending on the styles. Most students cant afford braids so they always fix weaves. Dont focus on naija peeps becos they will keep pricing low. Talk to other blacks like jamaicans & co in Church, give ur number to peeps in the mall & everywhere u go. When i first started i used to charge $40 but now its $60 and up for weaving & $150 & up for braids. Bring xpression becos they don't know it. I sell 2 pcks for $16. Theres no way u won't find customers unless black people re not living there. If u have money print bizness cards for more publicity.
My boo, making money for the household... By the way, I still dey airport, why didn't u come and pick me

Lucasbalo: That's my number 1 pet peeve whenever i am in Nigeria. Its very barbaric. The second one is people not using toilet tissue after u know what. Instead, they use water. It's very annoying and unhygienic.

nigerianphoenix: Hello everyone!
First of all, anyone in Chicago? I leave in a few weeks. Although I've done all the necessary research, I'd still like a first-hand account of what to expect when I arrive.
Secondly, I just started preparing to pack (I've been procastinating for months), and I'm a bit confused about which items are important and which ones I can purchase in the U.S. What did you take with you? And, what do you wish that you had taken with you?
Thirdly, I haven't been on an international flight before. What should I prepare for?
Finally, does anyone know about the laws regarding carrying prescription medication into the united states?
Thanks in advance for your answers!
I know very much about it, carry as much as u can

Ms Nas: Okay, this is how it happened.
We were in a straight file before entering the interview hall. And as we entered, there was another line for the initial checking of docs. Those doing that are Nigerians, I presume. Okay, so immediately I entered and joined that line, the security guy asked me to bring the slip I had with me (which contained number 120) and gave me one, which is 119. I dunno where he got it oo. He then gave my 120 to the girl behind me, collected her own 121, and gave it to the person behind her, collected that one's 122 and gave him 121 and so on.

The line moved quite fast and 119 showed on a guy's screen. There, the guy asked for my documents, perused it and gave me back the rest, except for my I-20 and my DS-160. He told me to go and sit down and that I'll soon be called for biometrics. After a while, my number showed on counter 7, which is where they do biometrics and the lady already had my passports and docs with her. She did the biometrics, returned my documents to me and told me to take a seat, that I'll soon be called for the interview.

Lo and behold, I sat there for like one hour and my number didn't come up. Those that we came in together had loong gone. When I couldn't take it anymore, I approached a security guy and told him, he said I should go and sit down that they'll call me, but I was adamant cos they had loooonnng passed my number. He said OK then, once you see any of the VOs that are free, just go to him/her.

As luck will have it, I sat down in the row in front of the white lady and immediately she finished somebody's interview I went to her. She was like "Did I call you?" I said no, and I held up my number and said "see, they skipped me" She said "oooohhh, we're so sorry, but you can see I already called someone, kindly wait till I finish with her and you can come"

She was even the one that called me when she finished. She was like " will ticket number 119 please come forward?"

The rest is history oo.
My story is long, I know. Sorry sad
Just seeing this, congrats dear!!!! Sorry for this being late

nice4life: I meant to say the fear of those things has held a brother down for sometime now, but come to think of it why would a woman want to leave a man that treat her well assuming she's not under a spell?? So it is safe to say that the man holds the key, treat her well and she'll stay with you forever no matter where she is from. smiley
Or it might just be in their nature to divorce.... But good line of thought tho
