I heard there's a new app called Viber (it's like What'sapp). We can use to call people in Nigeria for free (not Skype), but they must have the app on their phones as well.

From Bigfrancis to imperioxx to Misnas, kpoli, yveett. misstoyo, findout, Gboyega, vivysparkles,..... The list is endless. . You guys encouraged me when I felt like giving up!
So I got my sevis fee receipt updated around 4pm. Printed it out and got on the next bus from Iwo road to Ajah. Woke up the next morning and got to the embassy. Did all security check/biometrics. Sat down then my number came up. I was interviewed by the Chinco lady at the extreme edge close to the entrance. Here's how it went...

Me: Good morning
VO: Morning pass me your documents
Me: (passed them)
VO: Where in the US are you going?
Me: (Told her)
VO: So I see you're going for your masters
Me: Yes, Masters in Human resources management.
VO: How did you find this school?
Me: I searched online for schools that offer my course and during the process I came across an article by Professor Stephine Taylor. She's the Chair human resources management program in the university. Her article was one about the challenges human resources managers face in companies where she talked about analysis in decision making. She brought real life experiences into the classroom.. (VO nods head then cuts in)
VO: So what will this course do for you?
Me: I have a basic understanding of Human Resources management and having a masters will add to my skills at work and this in turn will make me excel professionally (VO nods head)
VO: ...... Ok did so did you take GRE ?
Me: No I took just TOEFL. I have 4yrs work experience so I was exempted from taking GRE or GMAT (Was reaching for my file to show her my toefl scores but she said I shouldn't worry)
VO: When did you graduate?
Me: 2008
VO: And what have you been doing since then?
Me: I went for my NYSC and I was retained in the same company and worked there till January this year. Then I took over managing my brothers company.
VO: So who is sponsoring you?
Me: My brother
VO: What does he do?
Me: He owns a company, He's a contractor.
VO: Do you have his bank statement?
Me: (Passed it to her)
VO: (Looks at it briefly then passes it back to me) Ok so your Visa has been approved. Take this and pick up your visa at bla bla bla....
Me: Thank you and have a nice day (Smiling)

I'll say it was Gods favour after all what I went through before the interview. I wish everyone going for their interview success and please be Bold, Never take your eyes off the VO and demonstrate with your hands.... In between that chinco guy is kinda strict. He kept denying everyone that went to his window... And why didn't anyone tell me phones aren't allowed in the embassy? I had to pay a mobile policman 1,000naira to keep my phone. lol

Well, i already told my Sister(Yvete) about porting to iPhone and it seems we'll be sticking to our blackberry ... We'll just need to upgrade to OS 10.1 so we can skype. Never been a big fan of the iPhone too ...

Why I no go vex? They made so much mouth about ios and android that they can not crash or hang..... Crashed the first ipad I had, now the android phone I got is crashing and restarting by itself... Battery is on auto-rundown... Friends iphone 5 hangs too... So why bad mouth bb if they all hang too? All phones hang, I should stick to the one that helps me communicate with my ppl better....

This is not MTN, Airtel, glo, etisalat etc fault.
The networks are still not robust enough to offer larger bandwidth to subscribers.
What happen is that to maintain perculiar efficient blackberry service, RIM allow network providers to channel all data from their devices through their servers. With this, network providers are able to grant voluminous data to blackberry subscribers cos it is not passing through their servers.

Granting non-BB subscribers such data freedom officially through their servers would simply overwhemled network providers' servers and bring internet service to a crawl.

The issue can be solved if google or samsung could provide a specialized server just like that of RIM for BB, then network providers would simply channel all data from Android devices through the access point: google.com and open unlimited downloads for android devices. Simple
For now, manage with DroidVPN or any other till internet cost comes down.

Network providers don't use servers, they simply use routers.... Their own is to route the traffic not serve it bro

The data cap has no excuse, what they should do is put a threshold on 3G networks and once threshold has been met, all other traffic would be done via EDGE or GPRS like how in USA they route through 4G and once surpassed, go through 3G or less.... Simple
