Politics / Re: North MUST Sabotage Jonathan If He Corners The PDP Ticket by Kponkwem(m): 8:07am On Aug 25, 2014
Sloan: The north MUST sabotage Jonathan if he corners the PDP ticket by hook or crook. They must insist on a primary and vote against him as a bloc! If he rigs himself in, they must work from now until the elections that he does not win a single vote in the northern part of the country! In the south, he will lose completely in the West, and any votes he gets in the SS must be split in an unfavourable ratio against him. Police may be deployed to cover elections but the army must go and fight in Sambisa the BH war.

Clean your face with water, sleepy bone. North ke nut ni... A bigger disgrace awaits any of their consensus candidate worse than 2011. Those leeches can't rule us again on top of our oil. #GEJunopposedtill2019. If Nigeria remains after that, SE or MB!

Wow! What's wrong with the so-called people who benefits the most from Nigeria? The most enlightened part of Africa?

Their land is infested with all forms of social ills from ritual killings to church robbery, kidnappings and now hen-sex.

I even heard they declare holidays for all sorts of idol worship!!!
Politics / Re: #bring Back Our Northern Domination By Femi Aribisala by Kponkwem(m): 11:20pm On Aug 19, 2014
This piece got me rolling...

What next for the feudal north? For now they still hold unto the Police, Judiciary, legislature, Customs etc yet they are not comfortable.

I know the yorubas are wise and will pull the rug off their feet at the right time. Ask Tinubu what happened to the alliance in 2011. Yet for want of who to align with as the true Igbo and SS politicians will be stoned if they touch them with even a long pole, they returned to the marriage of convinience again with Tinubu and his band.

If the north wants to continue enjoying the oil, they have to kow-tow. Its game over for them.

Good write-up. Vintage Aribisala.

T9ksy: Ibos and Lagos, sha! Haba! Dem take lagos swear for una people ni?

Ibos, been lusting after Lagos since 1944!

Lusting ke, I think you guys in odualand should accept one Nigeria for life since you are not courageous enough to fight for its dismantling. Igbos wanted out in 67-70, but it was yoruba's sabotage that torpedoed that effort. Now we must remain one; swim or sink together. Yoruba marries Igbo, Igbo marries Yoruba; Yoruba contest for offices in Igboland and Igbo contest same in Yorubaland. One love everybody.

Happy for Anambra! Happy for Akwa Ibom! My two beloved states.

If Obiano could initiate the crime-free cities, Onitsha urban renewal, toursim devlopment, flyovers, education, health industrialisation, commerce etc that we are seeing already what will become of Anambra when millions of its people scattered all over the world and among the best in their chosen fields begin to hearken to his call to think home?

Again, what will happen when after building confidence, those $20bn diaspora funds, a bulk of which are from Anambra indigenes begin to find their way back home? Anambra abulu zie obodo oyobo!

Politics / Re: THINK ABIA! Dr Alex Otti by Kponkwem(m): 9:26am On Aug 15, 2014
The people posting here don't know that Abia has a 30 year Charter of Equity on Power Rotation. No matter the good intentions of the Ihejirikas, Ottis and Ogah's they are all from the Abia North, Bende or Ogboo-speaking area of the state.

The charter has codified the mode of power rotation.

Even when APC leader Dr Ogbonnaya Onu was gov, he ruled from the North-Afikpo axis. Orji Kalu is an Ogboo-North man, Theordore Orji is from Umuahia-the Ibeku-speaking Central Senatorial District. Justice demands that an Abia South-the Ukwa-Ngwa speaking, real Niger Delta part of the state produce the gov in 2015.

This is the only guarrantee of peace in Abia. I don't want to see a return to criminality and banditry in the Aba axis, which is also the most populated area.

dukaz: First and foremost, the retired Chief of Army Staff retired as a Lt. General, therefore the person that addressed him as a Lt.Col needs to kindly correct that! The list of candidates here is not even half of the contenders for the position of Abia governor come 2015. There are at least Five other serious contenders who have been left out and any analysis that excludes these people is simply and incomplete one, lets include the other contenders so that we do a better job of comparing who fits the bill.

Yes, there is Friday Nwosu, Okezie Ikpeazu, Dr Onyeama etc.

Orunto: No one says so. Infact it is not in the constitution of Nigeria that an Igboman can't be head, middle or tail in Nigeria. The Igboman is just the architect of his own fortune or misfortune. The igbo is 18% of the 389 ethnic groups in Nigeria. Failing to know that the remaining 82% of Nigeria's ethnic spreads are not dundee united, is the selfishness of the Southeast. Mr. President, NNAMDI JONATHAN IS FROM THE SOUTHEAST. OUR FIRST LADY PATIENCE IS AN IBO WOMAN. THAT THE IGBOS HAVE STARTED SUICIDE MISSION BY OPENING UP BAIFRA EMBASSY IN SPAIN AND FLAUNTING IT LIKE HERESSY AND FELONY MEAN NOTHING TO THEM IS FURTHER ACCENTUATING THE IGBO'S GREED, SELFISHNESS AND NON CHALLANT DISRESPECT FOR NIGERIA UNITY. The Igbos are christians, no doubt about that. They should always practicalise the Love of neighbours like themselves. Their elders, such as Prof. BU Nwabueze and co.should be more trusting and trustworthy to Nigeria. We are talking of Nigeria of 389 ethnic groups and not just 18% of that number wanting to lord it on the rest. Instead that 18% should form part of 71% majority to tame or chase the Uthman Dan Fodio Arabs out of our Nigerian Nation. UNTIL THEN, IGBOS, PLEASE THINK. GOD BLESS ONE NATION NIGERIA

For this crap, I recommend you take a full dose of your medicine first thing every morning.. Don't go for the early morning Ebola salt and water solution

iwonbaoko: With regard to Ibo president that won't fly, it is a settled issue that NEVER NEVER again can an Ibo rule Nigeria. That is a complete no go area. They are the ones that brought coups and tribal killing to Nigeria
Of course they will be allowed to contest in keeping with our constitution but Nigerians have decided NEVER NEVER to vote for an Ibo president.
From the south we can have Ijaw,Ogoni,Edo,Urhobo or Efik President no problems. Ibos should understand how Nigeria works. We all know this even a child still breastfeeding knows this so there is no need to heat up the polity. They can be president of things like MASSOB OMATA etc. Every Ibo man knows this too. Uche face your work oo!

Putrid, Ebola-infested smelly mouth. I am Igbo and so are my kids and millions of others and we must as of necessity have an Igbo President either now or soonest! Your inconsequential type are the reason why several forces are pulling that Nigeria does not last beyond the next five years.

Everybody is energized and ready to move the state forward.
That Mbanefo lady must be mixed.
Anambra akwulubago.

Yeah she is mixed in every area. She is from the Uwechue's family in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State with a foreign mum. But she crossed the Niger to marry from her Onitsha kinsfolk-the Mbanefo family.

I think I agree with earlier speakers: Anambra is standing. Anambra akwulubago. Nnukwu mmmanu a da-akwa ya aka!

Seconded!
As Igbo-Efik, I would wage a ceaselss campaign that Akwa-Cross will never join any ND crap, Never! If they can't find amicable relations with Igbo mainland, I rather they go it alone. What relationship do they have with the Ijaw, Urhobo, Itshekiri, Edo, Afemai etc in the so called ND?

EasternLeopard:

You see

You don't know military history

In the last civil war

Israel supported Biafra

It was when their war erupted against the Arabs did they left Biafra to repel Arab agression

Unfortunately

Biafra war ended before theirs

Israel vs Arab 1967 - 1970

Biafra vs Nigeria 1967 - 1970

That is why guys like me believe God stopped Biafra by distracting Israel for the sake of the Middle Belts Christians.

That is why every true Biafran will never abandon MB just the way we never abandoned the Ijaws.

You are very correct. In any case, I see no reason why the South East leaders should not right now openly seek cooperation with Isreal which will attract USA alliance too. During the Nigerian Civil War, Isreal and France were the only super powers that gave Biafra subtle support.

Isreal was hampered in entering fully for Biafra because it faced an international conflict against seven Arab states in 1967 which it defeated and claimed their lands.

But you can see that Isreal did well to secure basic infrastructure in Biafra. We can see the defences that protected factories, water facilities, hospitals, bunkers etc from being completely destroyed.

Every time I see Golden Guinea Breweries, Umiahia, Premier Farms, Enugu, Obowo Farm Settlements, Trans Amadi Industrial Layout PH and Obudu Cattle Ranch and others which were defended by Isreali technology despite heavy shelling, I bless the Isrealis.

@Op Blackteeth, what makes you think the far North has the population to overrun the South without external aid as usual from Chad, Niger etc? You should visit states in the North before you make this analysis.

I don't know how you make your assumptions but from middle belt southward, the population gets denser all over the world, including Nigeria. The core North, I dare say, doesn't have the population to overrun all of the south.

You must be very ignorant to make this comment. Being a Jew has different variants: You are either a Jew by biological/Natural inheritance or by Religion.

For your information, the Igbo has the highest number of Jews in Nigeria with over 500, 000 adherents of Judaism, and Adventists.

All are part of the household of Yahweh's Reform Jews.

An uncle with the UN told me that no tribe in Africa has the level of love, mutual respect and solidarity as the Igbo. He said during the civil war this factor assisted te Igbo to survive as a people. They shared salts, meals, cloths , trade apprenticeship etc to wade through the most vicious international onslaught by combined world powers of Britain, Russia, Egypt, Spain, etc and all Nigerian ethnicities.

The Igbo diaspora, numbering over ten million have never failed to think home. If the Igbo will have their natural homeland as an independent state, the amount of funds of different hard currencies it can attract for massive development especially in the beggining will be unprecedented in Africa.

Ndiimo single-handedly built the Sam Mbakwe Airport by communal efforts, which is a common string in Igbo development. Recently Arthur Eze forked out billions for Anambra as an individual contribution. No ethnic group does that anywhere in Africa.

So war or no war, Ndigbo should keep praying for their space under the sun; they are just a different breed. They will surely excel!

Energito11: 1= If given a chance idoma and igala will align with Igbos due to their close culture but the problem is that, many of us still regard them as hausa.
2nd= Nigeria can break up without war bcus everybody is tired of this con3 even the North, what we need is who will take the lead,we igbos cant take the lead not because of past war but because of our investments in other regions.
Yroubas cant take the lead becus they are afraid of past war which i know that can will not happen if they want to break up.the only people that will break up these con3 is Niger Deltans and if them do others will follow.

Nwanne, I disagree with you that the ND are the only people who can break up the con3. Its clearly the Yoruba. They already have a flag, anthem, constitution and defined territory.

Their elites are just waiting for two things: 1) The outcome of the confab 2) The consequences of 2015 Presidential election especially if results in an empasse bw North and South. The DAWN documents I have suggests pursuit of autonomous regime of taxati and development regardless.

The ND is not a defined area. Apart from the Ijaws (Bayelsa and parts of Delta), there is no clear ND. But only time will tell. But God save us!

One thing is certain the relationship bw North and South is master-servant. The master, the North, is always jolted when a fearless critic and warrior challenges their slanted logic and exploitation. Ojukwu was a handful for them. Saro Wiwa was easily wasted. Asari so far is proving hard nut for them, hence the resort to blackmailing GEJ. I don't see the offence, legally committed by Asari for speaking out against a seeming grand-design to wrest power out of the SS and return it to North to rule with the resources of the South. The Hausa Fulani are naturally feudalistic, hegemonistic and the South, republican. These two ideologies, like water and oil have failed to gel.

Now, it is game over for the North, 2015 will be interesting..
