As Android na packaged trash to you, iPhones na overhyped and overpriced hardware to me.

I've handled 7+, 8, X, XR and 11 Pro and the phone no dey shack me again. The hype I felt from handling iPhone 7+ for the first time is dead.

There's wifi sharing on Redmi note 7, but the other phone has to be able to scan and process QR codes for wireless connection.

I think it's an Android 10 feature as my device on A9 can't do the QR scan.

To get a better idea, join any of the biggest telegram groups (OnePlus, Realme, Oppo and Xiaomi) and you'll get to know more about any device under these.

I mentioned it but if you got any phone in mind, join the telegram group of the phone you wanna buy and ask away.

That's not a clear difference, especially in performance.
It's more of an A22 with more CPU and GPU clusters.

The power of any messaging app is not its features, but, in its user base.
Whatsapp is number 1 in the world today because of its user base. I prefer telegram, but then enough people don't use telegram.
It would be hard to use and enjoy Android messages when there are few people using the app.
I also read something about RCS being pushed, its a protocol that effectively replaces SMS.
Anyway, right now users are spoilt for choice when it comes to messaging apps, however, you can only use the messaging app that is popular worldwide(whatsapp) or the messaging app that is popular within your circle(iMessage, telegram etc)

What telegram needs is to add the status feature (hate it) and they'd be competing with WhatsApp, especially cos some features on Telegram are better.

For RCS, that's supposed to be activated by your network provider (they won't cos they'd lose out on getting some profits off texts) but Google is looking for a workaround.

Looks like Google messages to me, not Android messages.


You can chat with others who installed this app and enabled the chat feature or RCS on theirs with data, like some do with iMessage but unfortunately RCS is supposed to be activated by your network provider.

To be honest.

So far he's a teenager, even if you get a device with over 6k mAh, it'll run down like water.

And do get him the iPhone so some people don't oppress him over this (peer pressure is real).
Also getting him an iPhone will strengthen the bond between you (speaking from experience).


If you won't, get him a decent device. I won't recommend Tecno and co.
Get a Samsung S10 if you must.

MTN Pulse since you're a surfer (*406# to migrate).

New user gets 100% extra data on subscriptions for 6 months. Returning user after a month of inactivity gets access to the welcome back bonus (#200 for 1GB for a week, 4GB 1k for a month).

Don't do MTN night plan with active data on (they drain your main data). Even with no active data it'll still be a problem especially if you have 50MB left.
Use Airtel or Glo for your night plans.

After the 100% bonus expires, use Data4Me (*121#) for double data plans but the bonus data lasts for a week unless you accumulate data alot.

Data4me are 2GB for 500, 9GB for 2k, 20GB for 3.5k and 30GB for 5k (bonus included), but MTN do go crazy and will remove the 2k and #500 plan after sometime.
Oh there's the YouTube data plan they added.
It doubles so you got no worries watching content in HD but it starts from 11 PM.

All these are from my use of their plans.

You'd be surprised at the number of ladies that play these games.

Not as large as the male community but they're there.

OP the difference from 60hz to 90hz is noticeable even to the untrained eye, same applies of moving from 24hz to 50hz using AV and HDMI cables respectively.

The RAM part is controversial. Most games use it as a minimum but said games irl scenarios will crawl as someone stated earlier.

As for 4K Displays, one Word - futureproofing.
Cos phones like Sony packing them on their phones now means when it becomes relevant, you can buy them dirt cheap.
The SD processor and RAM will be a plus so you don't fret over your device slowing down.

Ladies DO play games too but they don't show themselves cos of thirsty guys and ho**y teens taking the fun out of it.


And for the second, you're right and wrong.

One doesn't need to see the difference in games, it's there in all functions (scrolling, video playback, games) except the device OEM used variable refresh rate like Apple did the iPad Pro 2018 and OnePlus 8.

The correct term is how many charges it contains not hours and that itself is subjective (device you use, electrical situation in your area and how you use it).

But folks with 4k mAh devices are getting 4-5 charges in with the 20k mAh.
Capacities for your budget are 20k (sense 6+) and 30k (sense 8+) mAh respectively if you're wondering.

How on earth will a 11k mAh Powerbank be giving you up to 6hrs?
Romoss Powerbank is what I strongly recommend.


As for phone, I can't and won't suggest since you already have your mind on one already but know this, bigger battery capacity doesn't translate to having better SoTs.

And since you're a heavy user, remove that 10hr minimum SoT from your mind.
ROG 3 can't last up to 8hrs under continuous load despite the 6k mAh battery and the cooling features it packs.

Guess we know the reason for them low scores - low transistor count.
