omenka:
Good Evening my fellow comrades. I hope my last (most likely) thread on Nairaland meet you guys in good health.

As was noticed, I've been away for quite some time now. Logged in today and couldn't believe the number of mentions I saw, most of which came from fellow progressives and others of course from PDP supporters. It would take a huge amount of time responding to each of them hence the necesity to create this thread.

About a month back I was unjustly banned by some mod for violating "rule 2". I served the 3days ban and came back active doing what I do best on nairaland; politicking. Couple of days later I was again banned for violating thesme rule, but this time only in the politics section meaning I could post on other topics as long as they are not emanating from the politics board. But hell, if you ban Omenka from politics, you could as well give him a blanket ban!!

This ban resulted from me calling someone a "fool" when he, without provocation, called me a "bastard"!! He left scot free and I got banned!! It really broke my heart the mods could be so shamelesly bias in dealing with members.

Anyone with a discerning mind must have noticed the relentless campaign by the administrators of this forum to gag critics of this government, and this campaign has been ramped up a coupla notches as we approach the general elections. They do this not knowing that the beauty of a civil and just society is in the accommodation of dissention. What need is there for a debate if the mods of such a debate would only allow for the expression of just one kind of narrative, that which favours their principal?? The most resouceful and outspoken supporters of the opposition on this forum are either serving one lengthy ban or another, from gbawe to barcanista. Has this forum become so perverted?? The kind of anti opposition threads that hit the front page as well leaves a very sour taste in the mouth for their sheer idiocy and lack of substance; with the worst being the "will buhari raise cattle in aso rock??" I just couldn't believe my eyes when I saw that!!!

Nairaland is fast losing its texture especially in the politics section which hapens to be the busiest place on the forum, and if the admin decides to take steps to stop the drift, that is his business (very much doubt he will for even himself once appologised for calling buhari a "human being" when the general was mourning the death of his wife!!).

Whatever happens here onwards is no longer my business. I wish to limit my activity on the forum to just liking and sharing posts. The mods have demostrated in unambigious terms their disdain for the opposition and since I'm hardly in a position to put a leash on their needless onslaught it is time one left them to their devices. Perhaps someday I'd create my own forum where commonsense would prevail and triumph over inanity and despotism.

God bless you all.

Guy the way you go emotional to curry favor is phenomenal.
You and i know that you are still going to come back here posting your trash. We know all these gimmicks now.
But we still need you to stick around a little while, maybe till after the general elections then you can all hobble off to go lick your wounds somewhere.Like your followers said, you are a general and a good general does not leave his comrades in the middle of a fight.

APC members are all bunch of jokers..What other ideas does Buhari have aside fighting corruption.
Okay let's say he gets there and succeed in getting rid of corruption, what plans does he have in place to manage the resources better.
He had better start coming up with a solid manifesto.
Hell the man may not be as transparent as he claims to be.

Suljosh:
Why is PDP so concerned about APC now? Are they scared that they may lose to APC.
They are not scared, they are just doing the necessary i.e giving the opposition negative publicity in order to curry favour and score political points
which is basic in politics.APC does the same as well or even worse.

What is the point of recycling this story which may be partly true ay this time?. Obj was probably in his 30s during the civil war, that is the age of acceptable mistakes. Let me give other examples:
-Gowon did lavish society wedding when the war had barely ended and people were still dying.
-Ojukwu was sleeping with wives of top Biafran army officers while they were dying on the front for Biafra.
-Ojukwu also cowardly ran away telling his generals cock and bull stories and abandoned his people to statvation and deathrl
-Murtala Muhammed lost millions of pounds of equipment and thousands of lives in 3 failed attempts at Abagana.
-The Biafran incursion.into the midwest was one of the most mediocre and stupidest offenssive in history.
Maybe i need to tell you more before you realise that Nigerias civil war main characters were all flawed and too young for the responsibilities they were carrying.then and Obj was just one of them.

I bet the ignorant little kids you guys succeed in deceiving all the time would come in here and go "wow" not knowing that these are just computerised rendering.

Shame on this government!! If they aren't trying to lie (as Abati showed us) to the people claiming projects executed by the opposition as theirs, they are busy showing us computer graphics.

Fashion / What Is The Maximum Time Required For A Man To Get Dressed Up? by kropelgrada(m): 12:37pm On Nov 16, 2014
So it happened that this morning for the first time in ages, my live in chick got dressed and ready for church service before me.
And she just stood there and rubbed it in on me as I was getting dressed up that it really sinked in.Because I was used to making fun of her while I wait for her to get dressed,so now she sees this as an opportunity to get back at me.
But I must note here that she got out of shower before I got in.Was feeling a little tired and groggy from last nite that I did everything at a relatively slow pace.
But it didn't end there as it became a topic of discuss as we drove down to church.
On getting to church,we were kind of late and had to stand outside for the liturgy to be concluded (Catholics will understand what I mean)
While we stood there she continued the discussion and insisted that had it not being for me we wouldn't be standing outside and that "I dress up like a woman." That really got to me and I had to rebuke her in a stern voice that I've had enough of the topic. That prompted her to stop.
I hate being compared to a woman.
I admit that I took a while to get dressed this morning, but it took me just 10mins on the max to get dressed and step out.
Normally on the average while getting dressed for work I do it in 5-7 minutes max, considering the fact that I'm always in a hurry every time I get dressed for work.
So please guys what is the maximum time a guy requires to get dressed up,cos I won't want to be labelled a woman next time. smiley
You can also state how long it takes you to get ready.

Happy Sunday folks.

It won't be a clean sweep for Buhari in the North..
So we heard in 2011,but what happened in the end?
Kogi,Nassarawa,Benue,Plateau,Taraba and the FCT are still a stronghold for PDP.
Keep selling that believe that it would be a clean sweep and it would de-generate into something else if he looses there.
Remember that was the cause of the post election violence that resulted in the lost of precious lives and properties.
Nigerians we forget so easily, but rather prefer to sell our conscience all in the name of partisan politics.

As I said before you either make the cut or not.

As to your question depends on who's doing the studying.

E.g Maybe Mech engine is hard for u and u feel education is easy. I put it to you that the same Mech engine is easy to some and that education has frustrated others

. Its all relative.

Mechanical Engineering or any Engineering course is never easy for anybody.

Not a regular contributor to the politics section, cos i am sick and tired of Nigerian politics be it APC or PDP. They are the same set of liars. But i want to ask, what if Jonathan wins the forthcoming presidential election, what then will be the fate of the likes of Amechi and all the e-campaigners here vehemently rooting for Buhari. I'd rather we try as much as possible to remain calm and pray for the better, than heating up the already volatile polity with so much hatred and virile vituperations being vomitted here on a regular basis.
Let's be wise

For guys that got invited for the "JUNIOR PROJECT ENGINEER" position, even when the position was not advertised, is it that you have an "oga at the top" that dropped your application and cv. And how did you get the info that they will roll out the invite alongside other positions? A friend of mine also got the invite but i still can't fathom how he was selected because he is not been opened on how he applied.. so i ask you guys, HOW DID U APPLY FOR THE JUNIOR PROJECT ENGINEER POSITION?
What you must know is that some people have being on this Total job for a while now.
They do follow ups, constantly updating their unsolicited application status on the company's website and the rest.
Some have even written the test on more than one occasion.
So my brother, this is not a case of knowing some one at the top.
This is a case of how much do you want the job.
So i suggest you leave how other people got theirs and work out a way for yourself if you really want it.
Now i guess you have some hints about how to go about it.
