zealousB:I am a former employee of the company, it was more of slavery, our salary is always delayed comes sometimes as late as 15th of the next month. People get fired without notice all the time. Employees there live in fear, I am grateful i left when i did. Please don't let someone close to you or someone you care for work for those people, I know there are no jobs but sometimes being without a job is better than being a slave. When an employee gets injured, there is no health insurance, there is no career path, you could be employed as an accountant but do the job of both account, marketing, inventory, warehouse management for same pay. The worst part is they don't use technology, everything is manually done and in the most crude way, if u care about your education and skills as well as your phycological Heath, that's not a place to work. I wasn't told my working hours but soon realised i worked from 8am to 9pm sometimes 10, Mondays to Saturdays and sometimes on Sunday. I literally had no life outside them, there were spys watching your every move and reporting to Oga. There was no structure of any sort, everything revolved around Oga and his family members.Graduates become morons when they come there. I think i have said enough already, do share your experience with them after you work there and return. Many people don't talk about there experiences with bad employees in Nigeria, they just get up and leave believing God would judge. Besides the company bears different names, Solar Energy Ventures Industry Entreprise, NGS Group, Sapatech etc so many people get confused about them. I am an ex employee and summoned the courage to speak up alot of this people might not know there are platforms like this where their voices can be heard. Be sides this is a company whose owner pays Police officers to arrest and detain employees. I am sure with time other people would be willing to share their stories |
That company called Solar Energy Ventures Industry Entreprise Limited. They also bear other names Like REI plastics, NGS group, Sapatech etc. The organization has a very toxic environment. There is no job security, the owner Mr. Ugochukwu Emmanuel Madumere pays police stations to do his bidding. There is no leave, pension neither do they pay tax. Staff are fired without following due process. There is no HMO and there is no Employee compensation /Insurance in terms of injuries. Staff are hardly provided work tools but get constant blame for non performance. No health and safety equipment for factory workers. No trainings, no incentives, bonus or benefits. You would be required to work on public holidays, He verbally and sometimes could physically assault staff members. He pays graduates poor salaries but pays illiterates a higher one. Staff are not allowed to contribute their opinions even on jobs they are given. There is a lot of interference and do it his way. Working hours are not stipulated, you could see 8am -5pm but would work 8 am - 9pm. Factory workers work 7am-7pm. Please if you get any invite from this company please run for dare life. They could tease you with a bigger salary only to sack you one month later. Weather their Festac office, Ota factories or Igbesa is a no no! Please avoid this organization by all means or you are on your own! ![]() |

Gbyms:Are you trying to be rude or is it that you have poor communication skills? I would assume it's the later.. Attitude is everything! |
Gbyms:I have been following the trend on Masgoon and would like you guys to leave him alone! the Nigerian constitution guarantees every Nigerian freedom of expression and association hence if you don't like to associate with him, that's your own business! If you for any reason feel he lied about anything, no one made you a judge! Maybe you have no business on the NNPC trend, go try ICPC, DSS, EFFC or even the police where i believe your investigative skills would be very much appreciated. Masgoon has his right to express himself and if you don't like what he says then don't comment! Let the young man be! His not on your way and you are not on his hence let there be peace.. I am beginning to feel some people here are bullys, let's be careful in other not to cross the line, no body holy pass.. peace! |
Jarus:Sorry to interject, but a collective bargaining is the tool used in negotiating in employee relations while a collective agreement is the result of a collective bargaining process. |
BenFlash:Even in interviews, many atimes not the most intelligent ones get the job, like i like to say, it is better to hire for attitude and train for skills! "Being intelligent is a great thing but knowing how to apply it is a wise thing" you don't want to give the impression that you are unteachable, Be guided ( Emotional intelligence is key). There is a thin line between being confident and cocky, be watchful! In an abundance of words, sin is not lacking! All the very best to all GT and EH candidates, Good Morning! ![]() |
One thing i know is if you aren't a compensation and Benefit expert, you are not! It's better you stick to what you know and stop spreading unfounded rumours less you would be disappointed. Being paid by Farouk or Anyim means nothing, don't forget there were lists which would first be mopp[sub][/sub]ed up and shared to different teams to work on.. if the theory were true, Farouk wouldn't still be paying people by now, the logical thing to do is to pay the successful ones first because they are lesser in number than pay the rest or the other way around, not pay them bit by bit then why do we have filters and sorters? Who likes stress? When it's not picking beans! Since it is payment from an individuals account there is a limit he can pay from his account within a stipulated person hence the delays, and don't forget there is a timeline they must meet . I am tired of this unnecessary conversation because some people are trying to make themselves feel superior to others. If i were you i would rather pray and be hopeful! There would be life after APL, learn from the CBT experience, because people who do not learn from history are bound to repeat it.. A little something you aren't taught in science class and stop brickering like school children! |
Is there any one who interviewed on the 9th and was paid by Farouk? Kindly indicate |
darado:Please what is wrong with some of this science students self? So you think intelligence is a matter of discipline abi? The fact we all wrote the same exam and all made the cut should you a rethink, many first class didn't make it here and many science student too.. No body is lesser than the other brother, we just have different callings..that's all |
CsRockefeller:Don't get yourself mixed up with this theories.. King is just doing his job as a compensation and benefit expert, NNPC alone has explaination all this.. Don't know if Farouk paid anyone who interviewed on the 9th because all i can see here is King.. |
Just got alert, July 9th, 9 am from King.. you people should keep developing theories las las, we go dey alright! Life continues ![]() |
Ukodo1123:I dont know what the physical demography is but based on the statistics made available by NNPC that's what is on record, if it's different from what's obtainable, I don't know |
kachii77:Do you need to be told? It's apparently obvious! |
Fredkio:GT, HR |
PhilipGallagher:Only God knows the criteria to be used.. All states would be adequately represented sure but would it be in equal number? That's a question yet to be answered because if it was to be then Rivers and Delta wouldn't be having more representation currently amongst NNPC staff |
GT or EH ?[/quote GT, but two were Engineers |
I think imo, Abia, Anambra, Delta ,Osun, Edo, Ogun had the most candidates at this recruitment.. Rivers had adequate representation but we no reach this states.. congratulations to you if you are from this states.. |
Fredkio:That's not true met 3 Rivers persons on interview day, one was in the same panel as i |

Yes panel 28 |
NigelCundy:No, still waiting for it though! |
Since everyone is sharing thier interview experience, let me share mine too. I had mine on the 9th of July 2019, where i and 5 other candidates where accomplained to the waiting room by a HR officer. I observed we all had studied similar courses in our first degree ( History, tourism, international relations between)buts from different parts of the country. Prior to this, I have tried to prepare for this interview but was uncertain because i had graduated since 2014 plus i practiced as a human resources Officer before starting up a business of my own. While in the waiting room, I observed there was an active CCTV watching us hence i had to modify my conducts knowing the implication of being an organization misfit. The nice receptionist tried making us feel at ease by informing us it was about being able to display confidence. After two persons, my name was finally called, I stood up and was lead by the panel secretary, a northern man in his mid 30's with a mean look like into the interview room. My panel was constituted by four persons( two women one roof which was the panel chairperson and two men) . I was offered a seat by the panel chairperson no sooner had i settled they named jocks of my surname which had element of royalty from the Igbo race. Next i was asked to relax as they were my mother's and uncles for the day. The panel chairperson briefly took her leave, then one of the male panelist introduced the panel members. I dashed to pick up my jotter but was halted as he said he believed i must have written i had listening skills. He quickly persued through my CV but couldn't find it. No sooner had he finished, the Chairperson return and refund introduced the panel. She asked if she looked like my mum and i replied she was as beautiful as my mum. She also I required the meaning of my name which i told them, then they refer it to a veteran journalist which luckily enough i was named after. Then they inquired about my state of origin, lga and date of birth which i furnished them with the information. To the business of the day, a male panelist commented on the recruitment process and how they were iching for retirement inother to go rest as well as access thier pension, then he asked what did i think the recruitment process was all about? I responded succession planning. He was impressed then said he didn't need to ask me why i wanted to work with NNPC. Next, the chairperson provided a scenario on the dumping on good in Africa by neocolonial super powers then asked me what i understood by globalisation? I defined it and gave an example of the use of social media which had made connect with peeps easier than in the days of letters. Then was a follow up questions on the advantages and disadvantages of globalisation. I provided a few before the Chairperson interrupted it was enough. Then, I was asked a situational based question on the impact of goods dumping on local manufacturing. I responded by giving example of how it affected local production negatively especially in Nigeria. A question was on a skill i would like to develop i.e tailoring and i responded cooking and they panel laughed and nicked named me 'Ofe Owerri'. Then a question on steps undertaken in decision making, i mentioned five, then the chairperson asked what steps i undertook in prioritizing i mentioned a few but she was still expecting me to mention something, I told them that was all i knew, she added availability of others then i thought why didnt i think of that? Then i realized i worked in the private sector, no one asked if you where available, they just dump things on your end. Well i noted the correction and the interview process.I was asked a situation where i had to use my decision making skills and i gave the instance of registering my business and they were okay with that. It was the other lady's turn to ask her question, then she asked me if i drive and i responded " not at the moment" she re emphasised do you drive or not then i responded i have never driven. She then asked me safety precautions i would take when being driven by another on a rainy day. I managed to mention four, then I said i would look at my mirror from time to time to ensure i wasn't being followed. Then all responsed on a rainy day? I stood my ground insisting people could get followed irrespective of the weather conditions ( diary of a Lagos boy). They were satisfied but then i added the no drinking or sustainance abuse. Then the male panelist asked me for the word i used in concluding, i felt he didn't hear me right, I said "in a nutshell" but he heard "on", I didn't argue or claim right, noted it and thanked him( I am human, not perfect). Then i was given a chance to asked my question, I asked about the change management process in NNPC and it's impact so far which was addressed by the chairperson who provided insight on the process so far. Next, I asked on the impact of AI on the operations of NNPC? She also responded to this before one of the male panelist added some more information and informed me that if i had talked about it in my globalisation question, i did have received all the marks plus a standing ovation. Well what is done is done! As a HR practitioner we believe it is wrong for an applicant to come for an interview without preparing a question on the organisation. It gives a bad impression on your candidancy or your intentions for joining the organization. But what do i know, I don't have public service experience! Interviews are all about Knowledge, skills, attitude and experience, please be guided! Recruitment would also be inline with organisations' values, it is formal, there is no absolute rule but moderation is key! Your panel is laughing, joking or playing with you, respond adequately but don't forget your professionalism, because everything about you is being assessed ie talk, act, sit, behave etc and the best way to get that information is to make you relax and unguarded but like I would say what do i know, no public service experience ! Las Las, we go dey alright! Pray for grace and favour. I wish all GT and EH the very best! See you at the towers, God willing! |
joobseekar:I am one of the readers club members of this group my take is rather than depending on your intelligence, qualifications or connections I would prefer you take the humble pill and pray for grace.. I may come from one of the most competitive states in Nigeria but I have come to understand the race isn't for the swift or the battle for the strong but grace would make the difference. As a human resources practitioner, I have seen unqualified persons being favoured and highly qualified persons rejected. Let's not forget companies don't just hire you because you have knowledge but also for skills and most importantly attitude. As little as Attitude is, it has disqualified alot of qualified candidates having said this i implore many of us to take the humble pie because in a recruitment such as this, favour would separate people, so pray for God's favour and stop displaying your intelligence everyone who has made it this far is intelligence and should congrats his/herself as it's been a race of over 25 million person's. At the end of it all, God would qualify the unqualified. Thank you |
Fredkio:We are here oo, Obio Akpor, aren't you the engineer guy I met on the 9th? |
mvem:No I am not, I don't know if they have a HR department in each subsidiary or if they have a division in charge of HR like in the banking sector. It's better to ask than to miss it all, thank you! |
For those who have had thier interviews, who is conducting it? Is it NNPC or a third party? |
Please what SBU/CSU can someone who studied Human resources work in NNPC? |
Please are we to use same CV we used for applying? |
Please where can a graduate of Human Resources fit into in NNPC? |
