amosek: Dear Mr. Amosek, I will like to let you know that the Toyota Truck Hilux is sold in the US as Toyota Tacoma. It is a little bit more upscale than the regular Hilux ones sold in Naija. The double Cabin has a 4.0L- V6 Engine. Same as the engine in the 4Runner. However, the 2005/2006/2007 Models does not have a Manual gear. They are all Automatic 4WD. The Auxiliary gear is now replaced with a knob switch selector (like those old school SMC ceiling fans from back in the days ). So you dont see a physical auxiliary gears like before. The Manual gear was introduced in 2008 for Double Cabin in the US. So they are still somewhat newer that what you might be looking for. The prices are as below: 2005/2006 Tacoma 4WD Double Cabin 70k miles/less Automatic gear N4m 2005/2006 Tacoma 4WD Double Cabin 95k miles/less Automatic gear N3.6m 2008 Tacoma 4WD Double Cabin 40k Miles/less Manual gear N4.7m If you don't find what you are looking for in Naija or if have any further question(s), you can reach me at: promise72@yahoo.com Enjoy the pics below:

Fhemmmy:What i am trying to say is that as long as you have the bill of laden or any other shipping docs you might have, you go to the carrier's office in Lagos and they will inform you of how to pay/what to do to retrieve your goods. There is no special license to do that. He can inquire and do it himself.I don't really know what the guy shipped, so it will be impossible to say how to clear it. But the carrier's office in Naija can direct him further. |
barry06:Sir, If we are talking about this ride i showed you in the pics, that is the last price. We are talking of 90k miles here. Very clean as you can see. Personally, i believe that there is no way you can price a vehicle low enough in Naija. If i have advertised the same ride for N500,000 i am pretty sure that someone will come along and price for like N300,000 ![]() So i will go ahead and just give you the last price once and for all. I know its not really in tune with Naija culture or mode of doing business but that is what i am choosing to do. If you want a clean ride, with no accident history and no micky mouse story. I guess N1.95 is it. I suggest you look around Lagos and wait for more dealers to give their offers before you make a decision. I am very confident that my pricing is fair (that is why i am posting them here) However, don't be slow if you want this car, nothing is guaranteed. It might be gone in a flash. But another one comes along. So don't fall in love too much unless you are ready to buy immediately. ![]() |

u dont need a license. dont think so. ![]() |
its a Toyota product. Same engine as the Hilux trucks. Very reliable. |
What if you always buy in jerry cans? Like say you go there with like 25Liter jerry can. You know its 25Ltrs and its nearly impossible to cheat you cos they can't charge you more for it. ![]() Will that help? |
thonerow:Probably not. Cos u are not being realistic in your pricing. If the car is in good condition (even tho its naija used) its a mighty darn good price for a 2005. U need to wake up from your slumber pal. ![]() |

oblo:Absolutely. Just make sure its a car in good condition |
oblo:I have always believe in one thing : "Always get the best you can buy for the money you have". By that i mean, i would rather get a good running 1997/98 car than get a so-so running 2000/2001. It might seem like a good deal to get a 2000/01 car for the same amount that you can get a 1997/98, however its hard to make the call when i don't really see the vehicles you are comparing. I will be very careful getting a 2000/01 camry or Accord for 700k unless of course its a Naija used. It will be nearly impossible (or divine miracle ) to land a good one (00/01) for that price. So i will have to revert back to you in your judgement of the cars. Don't get lost in the year of the car just go by the functunality and base your judgement on that. Since you see the car there. What good does it do you when you are stuck by the side of the road in your 2000/2001 vehicle and i can zoom past you in my 1993 Honda Allah with full A/C, running like a swiss watch, gbedu blasting? ![]() Think twice and Good luck in your search. |
Hello Nairalanders, Someone in the house is having problems locating the original Honda recommended ATF Z1 Transmission (gear) oil to buy. Even at Honda place (And also Ladipo and Oyingbo) Can someone in the house recommend where to find an original one and for how much. Thanks a lot. Regards |
web_master:Hmmm. i will put up a new thread and see if the others in the house are lucky getting one |
pdozie:And how are u doing so far? Pls put up some pics if you don't mind. Thanks |
web_master:Why is it so hard to find in Lagos? Have you checked Ladipo? |
Unfortunately No. I don't know anyone with Naija used RAV4. Someone should come up with an offer pretty soon. |
