Another room for tribal debate.... oya, who would be the first to throw the punch! yeye dey smell |
Brabus, whats Blank talking about? |
I just wonder why this has not made it to the front page.. |
Spyder! |
I get so upset when I hear such stories, especially when many car owners yield to silly advices from mechanics. you can however, check your car floor mat/carpet/rug if soaked, perhaps your heater core just behind the AC vent/fan is leaking you can also idle the car after a radiator fill, physically check for leaks around the engine and especially from d under, I hope the next thing they would advice u now would NOT be to remove the thermostat! always get glued to OEM from manufacturers, that car was probably made in the US, and with the climate of Florida and Arizona envisaged... why swap a working radiator? Oyinbo no dey craze O ... haba!best of luck... |
very often a time, not adhering to manufacturers recommended ratings and specifications in automobiles leads to adverse consequences too many to be enumerated here. however, here is just one of them, " OIL " yes! oil, this perhaps is the most important aspect of the gasoline engine, most engines are designed to run on synthetic or semi synthetic grade of oils for optimum performance. simply check d oil cap of your engine and tell me what u see.10w - 30, 5w- 30, 10w-40 , etc ...... but most of the oils used today even on cars after 1998 are our regular 20w - 50 multigrade mineral oil. This isn't sufficient for optimal performance. did I hear u mention Mobil-1 as. expensive ? well that's an understatememt. ofcourse it is, the goodnews however, is there is a better alternative @ a reduced cost. SINOPEC fully synthetic oil, now available for you, .......u would never regret it. longer oil interval change, efficient engine running, saves u money on gas, cleans Ur engine as if u got a new car |
it would be adequate to state thus that its not really about Party now, but d personality and his or her achievements. Same would have been the case if the comrade was in SDMP or CPC for that matter. even during d tussle in Lagos when Fashola was almost turned off, if ACN had not allowed him, that would ve been d end of ACN in lagos, perhaps they r wise in that regard. bottom line, perform and d masses would go with you............God 4bid if Oshiomhole starts acting funny by 2morrow, he would be kicked out! there is an adage in bini, and I quote, "a i mie no ma vbe ovbie, eyen" end of quote. ACN, PDP,CPC,AIDS,STD,SDMP,ANPP, ... just name the, Dem be d same. |
Gbawe: Truth be told, how many Nigerians , given our history, will embrace a man who has left the barracks to jump straight into politics?abi o! |
hearing Oshiomhole earlier on TVC television, I was worried and almost hit the road en route Benin, but with these results its needless, I knw how nairalanders handle such issues, I would believe u guys 89% well done to all d reporters, I am really interested in Anenih's place , I mean d results. |
Question-: Why Do Fans Of Other Clubs Hate Arsenal So Much? Answer-: Because there are more responsible fans in Arsenal than in any other club in the world! |
And what about the comments by the debate organizers during the certificate of participation presentation?- that comment dazed a heavy blow on the :according to him "semi-hooligans" ? it was waow!!! he was trying to calm them down by seeking their audience gently and maturely, .. even though it was disregarded when he started, the auditorium was initially rowdy, but as soon as he started talking , claiming authority, hitting them hard, I believe they all immediately felt as pupils in the classroom- I would wish my friend wasnt amongst them during that time. he refereed to them as semi-hooligans.... then they kept quiet.. lol I also noted - someone who couldnt differentiate mega-watts and mega-hertz ... its really sad, but I tell u, there are worse-off people in govt today, thats why things are this way in Nigeria |
after reading many posts on this thread, I just realized that an entry level of Mercedes is being compared with the executive of a Japanese Honda car.... Honda accord is the executive model for Honda cars... while the Mercedes C class is the entry level - despite this, aside whatever my opinion is about this debate, I am happy with the result - many poster tipped the Mercedes as by far better. Ordinarily it should be Accord vs an E-class, (say, 2003 Benz E-320), C-class vs Honda Civic, etc.. I never regretted selling my toyota camry I bought as tokunbo after buying a naija used Mercedes - C200, this even prompted me to start a thread on Nairaland- "Mercedes Benz thread" - (https://www.nairaland.com/520025/mercedes-benz-thread) - visit and get more benz details God help you to get a good mechanic for any car, if you have used a Benz, Audi or BMW before, it might be so difficult for you to drive any other car, especially Japanese... simply put there is a feeling you get when u drive most German cars, u dont get it with Honda accord. |
chiteny: Check very well brothers. It's a nub right in front of the arm rest. Get used to modern things.lol, when we cannot even produce I pass my neighbour petrol power generator set.... donkey yrs to go I must say, we are so quick to embrace flying saucers and hi-tech "already made" stuff from the developed world... how I wish we can look inwards and just start from somewhere to see how its made... this cuts across every facet of the industry! Naija!! |
so German cars and Asian cars, which is actually cheaper in the long run? wrt total cost of maintenance. |
calculusx:It shall be well with you Calculux, only say u don dey join Auto cabal for nairaland small small ![]() meaning if there are several ways, there would be some people- not agents I mean actual owners willing to let go a 2003 Honda accord @ somewhat ridiculous price, |
How many ways or channels can a 2003 Honda accord be bought and shipped to Lagos? |
Aywire:Genesis of the problem, assuming say no be u get am, u can imagine how many people 50k would be multiplied by, anyway, 2012 minus 2003 equals 9yrs, 1.3 Nigerian million naira approx over 8k USD hmmm , I just remembered a thread on nairaland started by one spyder88 who tagged it as " the real cost of building a 6-bedroom duplex" some people say e fit reach several millions, others thought otherwise, while the thread owner was an expert. I am sure many Auto freaks were there and perhaps contributed, this is sure another one, watch out, ![]() Maybe we can term dis one the "THE REAL COST OF BUYING A USED 2003 HONDA ACCORD-toks" how about that? ![]() |
however una talk am, whether call it lemon or orange or sugar cane, My point is, you car sellers tend to lock up the market by attempting to fix prices, everywhere in the world, the fact that u got a particular stuff at so so price especially USED one, @ point A. is not a guaranty thats gonna be same price everywhere around point B. "You cant get a legit 2003 accord for 1.3m Nigerian naira" to me thats locking the market as if na una dey produce honda or as if aside u guys, used legit Honda cars cant get to the shores of Africa let alone Naija. tomorrow some of you would be the first to blame the cabal thats behind the hike in the price of diesel and all that, whence what u r doing now by stamping ur foot down that NO WAY u cant get soo soo thing as whatever price, pls think! , ,moreso no be all nigerians get those millions wey dey with una, and there are some decent and conscious people out there that can bring a clean 2003 Honda accord today @ N1.3M if u no Fit sell @ that price say so but dont generalize it, |
Thanks Wonderz for ur post, ehen, who says a 2003 honda cannot be boughty with 1.3M? I am sure this one was stolen or maybe accidented or , not legit, http://www.tradestable.com.ng/lagos/cars/Tokunbo_Honda_accord_end_of_dicussion_18001.htm |
@ Emperor, I dont know if you have sold that Mitsubishi Montero, I consider that suv relatively cheap, for the neatness and yr Now have u not seen on this NL where someone posted exact same suv of even higher mileage (assuming all the displayed mileage are correct) for about 1.6M? Emperor, did you steal ur own? Abi na u be d main dealer for mitsubishi? why didnt u measure up to put that ride at over 1.5m ? or maybe I should ask, are we talking about the car value now in naija or wrt to yankee? |
Since you are the only one that know how to search. ![]()
Bros I expect u to take that back, this is neither our thread, it's absolutely unnecessary ! |
Oga Kunle, person wey sabi road for Kingston Jamaica not fit sabi road for kingstown bottom line is many prices are ridiculous while some are ok, fixing prices for used car this way does not allow for open market. when u say its impossible to buy a 2003 accord with 1.3m, I still maintain its vague. now imagine an 2003 accord owner who ships his car along with other sell-able items inside far worth thrice the value of that car. there are so many scenarios that could pass for getting a 2003 Accord parked @ Freedom park Ojota @ a total cost of N1,300,000. - Nigerian Naira. irrespective of country of origin |
femmy2010:which means, it is fixed! thats vague I must say! imagine you that just gave conditions or rather exceptions to buying that car @ 1.3M, now u say its not possible? dont u think there could be enough people that falls into that category of just selling off? I dont know if its still there, there is currrently a red 2003 BMW 330 series on www.autotrader.com , read thru what the seller said as d reason for selling the car. I think it was less than $3k USD . I tell u bro, there are lots of people willing to sell @ rock bottom price, also note, there are people who know how to bargain very well in yankee and knows the secret of these biz, its a free market. I am sure u would even agree with me that people patronize ur neighboring country to buy cars lately due to reasons stated by the poster |
what car engine is that? |
Aha! lets see how much this one go cost, cos I sabi d price of these range of yr well wellla! so Emperor of nairaland, how much? |
Looking for the toks of this vehicle, |
calculusx:in that case I might not patronize u , how I go buy car from u dey call u everyday? d person no get work? I wan buy so u go dey thank me everyday and we both would be happy, shikena, ![]() |
Bros, as I have always pointed out in your posts lately, I have followed your post religiously, since I joined nairaland, your style and sincerity (@ least by the way you lay adverts down yakata!) trips me, thus whenever I see a post from you I always read. perhaps thinking of doing biz with you even if its not to buy a car, (I could recall some Engine parts u once advertised, same with Honda transmission fluid and many stuff as such) However, in recent times, your prices seem way off the roof, at least from my perspective, No doubt, its possible many other dealers could be involved in shady acts, but u sure would agree not all of them, I would suggest you stand in here more competitive than ever. happy sales though! |
^^^^^ I meant the NL auto Cabal! lol ![]() u can be with d masses & still make ur millions, ask me how, I am sure the masses can give u black label for that. ![]() |
^^^^ so Automatic transmission would be called how many speed? ![]() Oga Kunle, you mean this RAV4 is over $14,000 USD? hmmmmmmmm |
O boy, u don finally join them, hmmm na wa O! |
Auto Transmission and left hand drive of this car would be how much if this is N985,000.00? |
