HILCROWN: NICE RIDEI agree its an excellent ride too, why not respond to this comment below?, its really important, you state car as is here... Also, the W202 was stopped yr 2000? pls check again to verify.. Dadaa: Why dint u just post that its converted and dont deceive prospective buyers. Your transmission caliberation placement is on the right side, that is abnormal for a lefy hand. |
registered! please why is owner selling? |
^^^^^^ thanks alot , I do appreciate! |

Ikenna351: It appears you are new in Car Talk, otherwise you should have known that not all active members in car Talk that one can decieve with journalist crap.Hello Ikenna, even though some statements in the post might appear outrageous or hyped, the message is quite clear, and aside the biz intent which u smell, its a valid topic worth discussing on car talk, many car owners need to be aware of the kinda oils they require for their ride .. and this is an avenue to share the ideas, for example, I was in search of a quality and affordable engine oil for my car sometime last yr, and bumped on many choices and contrasting with our local Mobil-1 Sold here, I found out after using the foreign Mobil-1, other foreign brands of synthetic oils and the mobil-1 sold here, Bro indeed there was much difference, I didnt notice much difference performance-wise using local Mobil-1 with their XHP, and Ondo, Fortoil, Conoil, Total Mineral oils of 20w-50. But after trying out some others... the diff was clear.. so bro, lets discuss it and refer marketing to another thread.. cheers |
nice topic for awareness, the reason synthetic engine oils are often recommended by auto makers are quite obvious, synthetic oils stands out at either high or low temperatures, synthetic motor oils have a higher viscosity index over the traditional petroleum base. even as engine runs at extreme temperatures and usage, synthetic oils still maintain a longer oil change intervals.. in the long run saving u money ... e.g, buying one or two oil filters annually is better that buying up to 5 or 6 filters for mineral oil change. for experience of synthetic oil at very affordable rates and best of quality... go here- https://www.nairaland.com/993349/synthetic-lubrication-oil-engine |
the engine picture post perhaps its an error, thats a Toyota engine and not BMW |
Trac: I'm going to sound odd and out-of-place but it is worth discussing/addressing. I am not anticipating an episode but caution. I've gone through the last two pages and [it] isn't too impressive. Diagnosing a vehicle is not something to be done online. In the last two pages, the hypothesis are off. One specifically given - for a relatively simple problem - completely off with an expensive solution. Another; a repair done that was completely unrelated but expensive. Mechanics are paid to do this, for it is their career and they possess all the resource needed to get the job done.Good point... thanks as always! |
Gee2728: got me a W202 2000 C230kompressor, its a brillient car. Before the check engine lights came on it was superb. I once did 237kmp on a strech 2 abuja from kaduna. But lately I notice a delay in trottle respons have tried several mech with diagnostic machine no one seems to know the fault I even strogle to go pass 180kmp lately. Please any 1 knows somthing abt this or a good mech to help fix this fault.compressor it turbo charged, while not focus on the turbo area of that ride.... I am sure the 237km/h you got was assisted by this feature ... |
AFTER CONTROL MODULE SWAP AND INSTALLATION... CODES CLEARED!!,
|
I Like BMW , I have only tried the 3 series, 01-06 model... , I hope to try out the X3 or the 5-series, say the 530i or 535.. in the last 72hr however, I was shocked by the DSC module failure, and guess what, I was lucky because it was deteriorating hence it didnt fail the brake instantly, the DSC/ABS module was leaking unknown to me, until the hydraulic fluid reservoir was empty... I have never experienced smthn like this from any car before, hence I felt I should share here... perhaps to help one or two persons.. Its a 325xi model, (i.e its an all wheel drive), and has a special DSC module thats relatively scarce, I was lucky to find one, after searching several stores in Ladipo and environs... it has a pressure switch, thats one physical difference with others of the regular models. after installation, bled the whole air out ... brake worked, but light remains, DSC, ABS, HANDBRAKE led lights were all on- - Lost traction - car felt like driving with less control etc - it was no more enjoyable... got on line and got the jist the module might need to be reprogrammed... even spoke with our consultant Siena about this, was advised unless the model nos are same, it wont work... which was correct. I eventually had to replace the control unit module my old one and replace with the one I bought (the electronic part) since thats what communicates with the ECU etc... and behold it worked... Lights gone, traction and ABS now working! Now my question is, " is this a known issue with BMW?" I ask cos I am just over a yr with this BMW technology..... its probably the least thing u would expect could get bad u will agree with me... see pics below of the swaps....
|
Bostin: This is for siena and other BMW riders in the house, pls I want to know if converting E46 from right hand to left hand is safer and good ,I will also need any converting experts in lagos with cost .It would have been nice the conversion is made where it was sourced, as in u have chances of getting the parts fixed properly... wish u luck |
why are you selling? |
seechris: That is bullshit, where is the innovation in what he has done? We all know that MTN loves showing themselves as the best but only succeed in doing what another network has succeeded in doing. With this kinda comment from someone in Nigeria.... I get hope, for people to still reason this way... I am indeed happy... Bro thanks for ur comment... exactly "word to word" what I have said in the last 4hrs to colleagues..... |
^^^^^^^ I agree, the counter evidently looked smarter!! |
Emmandus: Thanks all for making this thread lively! I believe there will be criticisms but the fact still remain that this jingle is da bomb! if you are in doubt, check my you tube channel and see thousand of views, over 17k views on nairaland and also so much post even on this thread! The idea is "Competition is the sign of a matured market, and in a competitive market, the strongest, smartest or well poised always gets IT. I doff my hat again for MTNN marketing team for their innovationits also on Guardian news front page-- there have been several outstanding adverts aired and uploaded... bottom line is how has biz been conducted in this country by the networks? Thank God for alternatives, else would ve been smthn else. with regards to basic call me I call you... I am certain they sure felt a stiff competition, hence the new strategy , but in my view, I doubt if the advert would sway many to their side especially those early birds of GSM customers in naija... ... THE FACT THAT YOU BOUGHT A PRODUCT AT HIGH PRICE DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD KILL YOUR CUSTOMERS!! if u ask me, I pray and wish same goes for the cable TV industry... get it liberalized and competitive! |
To many of you who would like to swap your network and still retain ur nos.... I want u to look back and think before u make that decision, from 2001 till date... how have they all fared? recall the days of paying N50/min even on a drop call of 1 to 5secs, remember the days of joining any platform proposed by these networks in a bid to reduce ur charges and still collect huge money from you on that silly migration, etc etc etc IN ALL FAIRNESS WE ALL KNOW THE NETWORK THAT WAS THE ARCHITECT OF THESE SHYLOCK TENDENCIES if not for the mercies of other competitors..... So pls if u are migrating and you arent sure where to go..... I would suggest u consider AIRTEL-ETISALAT AND GLO....... Let us hope and wish the same liberalization happens in the Cable TV sector soon where DSTHIEVES have been having fun!! |
This is a nice fruit, but I'm not sure of the nutritional value. I understand its rich in vitamin -C |

the location of the photos does not appear leaked? perhaps the title post should be renamed... "leaked" ? ..... as in wiki ? lol |
chigodo: 2005 toks avensis, leather interior, alloy, chilling AC,VIN-SB1BJ56LXOE033728were you banned from opening another thread for a new post for this Avensis? why on earth would u post an advert on someone's thread? cant remember the last time such rubbish occurred on nairaland. |
annalong: Hi, There is a company in Nigeria that sells Janpanese product. Though they are relatively unpopular but their products are very good and affordable. You can send me an email on annalonge83@yahoo.com and we will proceed from there.is the company name and details secret? |
This thread has been very informative, most pple still have the MB as a car that guzzles fuel and its very hard to maintain... I Just sold my 406 and I want to venture in to the MB family and since I am new I want to start with the C class pls I will need a recommendation, am an average income earner and am thinkingof 1998 to 2000 models pls wich would serve me more economically and then one that has less issues with its electronics and general maintenance..pls Ɣ☺U̶̲̥̅̊я usedful responses will be highly appreciated...
Go for that year of C-class, they are kool, just as Trac stated, I dont like the kompressor type, the 280 might be a better deal for you, as most of the maintenance are almost d same, oil, fuel etc |
8ightball: Its a 2.8. Or maybe my calculation is wrong. But I used up 50liters of fuel to cover 201miles. Can anyone confirm my conversion?City or Highway driving? What year of Audi A6 are you refering. 14.4mpg for city driving could be fair for that 2.8 Audi A6, I am sure the AUDI guru in the house could say better... from your readings however, it seems you are burning a litre of fuel for every 6.5km you travel... just as I said, for your kinda ride, it might not be too bad for city driving, especially Lagos |
look here, before I see this post again, I need to see your response that he has replaced it back!! look elsewhere if you have any issue, many if not all thermostat fails in the open state, so put it back! |
I think the Camry would tend to outsmart the other two, just ONLY for the first 5-seconds, but the BMW would wipe it behind after just five seconds, then it would be between the C220 and the 318, at this stage its the mindset of the driver, as for me, I think I can drive my C220 thru anything... behind the wheels, I pray d BMW driver or the camry driver would have the mind to push harder to beat the Benz. maybe it should have been BMW 325i, vs C-class 280, vc Camry, 3.0 ... all six cylinders.... ![]() |
King Solomon I: the difference i found out so far is that the american specs have there headlamps permanently ON while the japanese regular spec conserves power...no lights on.not absolutely correct bro, those vehicles u see their lights on are designed like that to suite the environment they are to be used.. mainly in Canada and Alaska, because of the snowy conditions and almost poor visibility, I think its required by law or so, not too sure.. @ poster, common difference between amarican and japanese Honda or Toyota rides are.. Japanese= RHD, America= LHD, on the exterior also, American spec camry - most popular (1997-2001 model) for example would always have no antennae protruding from the edge of then trunk, but u would find that in Japanese or european specs, also on the exhaust end, there is difference, the fog lights and bumpers are also different.. infact US specs have no fog lights... there could also be more |
