U can imagine keeping a vehicle down since April. |
chelseabmw:so u mean u just attack and post like dat without finding out details? na wa O, |
vitodorado:person wey wan buy a luxury car like BMW , to complain that an X5 that can give u 16miles per gallon(combined city drive & highway) just like Toyota 4runner - Nissan Pathfinder and its likes, u say consumes, well I wonder how u want the manufacturers to tweak the engine. this is an 8-cylinder engine, perhaps 4.8Si , it will give u up to 20miles per gallon on highway, in my opinion I am sure the BMW people try well well, I am not a BMW fan , but I admire their technology all d time. once again @ seller, the price is fair, Happy sales, |
Guy I ve read some of ur post on advertised cars, I think they are the fairest in my opinion, and I am sure u would make quick sales, and go to the market to do more, dont change ur tactics O, . Happy sales, |
I am sure similar topic has been said here b4, food 4 tot here however, when some people cry out at a European cars with 150000KM as against 120k miles- US, not mindful of the difference, in my view, I rather consider how the car has been used- check the seats- break/clutch/throttle pedals, engine oil cap (dirty sooth/sludge is a sign of a poorly maintained engine), also try and feel the brake disk edge and compare level of usage - as highway miles are better than stop n go kinda driving. check the steering, gear lever etc, a poorly maintained car would sure reveal itself in one way or d other, in summary- I tend to put mileage at the middle of my priority ranking. ![]() |
what I meant was - is it a must for audi or for any car- or better rephrased, when benefit does it give aside making it look flashy ? (in my opinion) , just sent u an im on yahoo ![]() |

Siena, why paint the brake calipers? I ve tried avoiding this after so many persuasions, |
blackracle:@ poster, I admire your response. keep it up. wish u happy n quick sale |
is there a fee to pay for uploading pictures? |
Pelpelly: one Million Naira difference? haba! |
seemingly fine topic, but where is the poster? have u bought the car? I would advice u weigh issues as where u r going to use the car, availability of good and experienced mechanics etc- I reiterate, no car wey no good, na how you use am. U2 , V4, W6, X8, Y10 ABI NA Z12, the reason u wan buy car has to come first. are u racing? fear of hitting the road when robbers/police chase u? going to work and back? madam to use sometimes? ABI NA ONLY CHURCH/MOSQUE/VILLAGE use? etc, guy THINK!!! |
Sienna, I thank God for ur life, Lots of lessons here, Imagine the way you narrated the story, how sweet - especially the part of claiming insurance cover etc, damn, I pity this country Naija, just imagining such a scenario here in Nigeria, I am sure the insurance people would still be looking at their archives by now. would keep watch on this thread as u build ur Avante (abi no be so dem call am?) |
There is no vehicle thats not really good.- depends on how u use it- I smbdy that's used his first car (KIA optima) 4 yrs on now, and still kicking, why Japanese cars succeed in this part of the world is the availability of its mechanics- good or bad, for me, its Toyota, I understand Honda is kool as well, but one has to be weary of its suspension- (ball joint pulling off etc), Must it be a 2005? the Camry 2005 is not too fine (my opinion) , but the quality is great and superb. the Engine is very OK, (Have u wondered why mechanics use Toyota engines in lieu of some luxury engines lately? Conclusion- if u r gonna use the car 85% in places as Abuja, u can go for Honda if u like- but for other places- Lagos etc, Go for The Toyota. |

Good topic for the section- 30ltrs for a distance of 194km for a Golf is rather high, as against what the manufacturer says it can do. from the calculation, you burnt a liter for every 6.5 km, ![]() firstly, ve you been buying fuel from that Abeokuta fuel station?- did you observe your guage after the 30ltrs was poured into ur tank? from your post, you are suspecting the catalytic converter as the cause of poor fuel mileage- b4 dis conclusion, are you noticing loss of power from your engine- (poor or slow response as you accelerate?) your catalytic converter blocks easily when 1. your engine was smoking before (blue smoke) 2. whenever you steam (warm) your car in the morning, you dont steam it thoroughly or drive off as soon as its started. (condensed vapour can block the catalytic converter). DIY- you can clean the air cleaner or replace when its due, confirm your spark plugs and make u try find the one wey come with the car if possible- (preferably that with double electrode) I am damn curious and cautious on wastage wrt fuel on vehicles, I get approximately 310km from 28ltrs of fuel with a 1998 camry, (Lagos - Benin), when I drive steadily and softly on the throttle, I burn lesser than 28ltrs for same distance. 1st suggestion therefore- enter NNPC filling station, buy same 30 litrs and do same journey then revert. ![]() all d best |
@ koolkesh, what r u saying my dear friend? I am sure u ve sold cars via nairaland b4, and I am sure you neither stole them nor made a loss, now lets face it, how much does it cost to ship that ride to lagos- clearing etc? take it or leave it b/w 12-13k USD can get u a very clean Nissan pathfinder, Asking or no asking, at over 23k USD is damn too much, sorry, lets be fair. ![]() |
oh!, the thread title!, while not call any of those car sellers- Cotonou et al , you can get a good feedback |
clickray:if the price is still whooping, it might scare some people- this is a clean ride however- happy sales |
for US spec Toyota Camry- CE = classic edition; LE=luxury edition; XLE=xtra luxury edition, CE's is the base model hence often cheaper, this one is still above $8k I am sure thats why no one is serious yet. lol ![]() |
2005 Nissan Pathfinder for over $23k ("asking" ? - damn! this is serious, are u saying 2.7m naira cant get this thing to lagos? |
@ ESEL, tanks 4 ur response, |
Siena this ur flare for Audi na wa O, but do we have many mechanics for them -- ADVICE PLS!!!!, also are all the A3's one door? |

@ poster abi na seller, I think u you have some work to do for nairaland motor sellers, I beg try teach many of them how to present clear cut details in this manner, whoa!, the pics are excellent, once more, Happy sales, but the 2007 camry is an excellent buy in my opinion, hmm 3.3m where are u O, |
Guy if this particular car is the exact one u wanna sell, I think its the cleanest I have ever seen on nairaland, damn!! It really makes me pity naija, U mean thats a used car with almost 78k Miles? abi na space dem drive am?, Happy sale O, chei!! |
"Thanks for the encouragement, I suggest u check for the market price of the ride before running your mouth. Make an offer if u are interested, if not, BOUNCE, " I hope you know the aftermath effect of right-hand to left hand effect conversion, whether people should bounce away or not, is not the issue- if u believe its really worth it, show more of those pics- (engine, interior et al) that makes it worth 1.1M, also say the mileage- VIN nos etc, wat do u tink? |
no, definately not compulsory people should respond on the thread. serious buyers give me calls to make inquires and negotiate
. u ve a point there, but I think the koko of car sales should be "sell it fast and get another" , I am sure ur callers aint saying anything near 700k, ![]() |
