No, I didn't imply that. I simply said Nigerians should make the safety aspects of a car the deciding factor when buying.

Siena- No doubt we all know you to be an Audi Guru to talk on its reliability, safety etc,  but there's smthn you also pointed out which is rather the bane of cars like Audi-BMW & their likes why they are not so much a quick buy no matter how cheap they may be- its the issue of  "but needs to be done by a qualified and competent engineer, not a roadside "mechanic" - even if u have a good mechanic,  how many are they?,  unlike the japanese mechanics that are everywhere,  even when they do a bad work,  a Japanese car would be able to tolerate that bad work n move on,  this is one of the success of Japanese cars in Naija,

I shouted whilst I was burning petrol and diesel with my gen set for an average of 12hrs a day and 20hrs/day on weekends,  now the reverse is the case,  I DONT WANNA KNOW HOW IT HAPPENED,  its been like this for like 7wks now,  lets pray it would be sustained,

Most petrol attendants can testify to these,  Gen repairers would confess thereafter, then Gen sellers , distrubutors/importers

On Goodluck, I think his strategy differs from previous presidents,  there is much difference when you talk directly to staff of PHCN - (from the gateman, service engrs, P&C, etc) than talking only to the minister of power, or the MD of PHCN, 

same goes for whoever does biz, when you deal directly with the source the results are quite oustanding,

Power supply has improved greatly in Surulere, Lagos where I stay.

However, I guess "Jonny boy" knows that steady power supply would put him in a good position to contest and win the 2011 presidential election. I don't really care if this is a campaign strategy anyway.

, to those area where it hasnt improved, well sorry O, I pray it gets better, I used to have like 2hrs per day, now its an average of 15-20hrs daily, for like 2months now, its been so, I pray it stays and gets better O!!!, I have diverted 30% of my usual generator allowance to pay my PHCN bills, and come next month , I would pay my April bill kia kia, , how nice to be sleeping steadily in A/C room with your family, especially the kids, they like am no be small, lol

Hamjola, from the report, the car had over two hundred and seventy six thousand kilometers(276,573km) on it as at 2yrs ago-- July 2008, as against your advertised 154,000km. , well since I trust that car can still kick even at 500,000 km, How much is the real owner willing to sell?, also note the accident records,

toptop abi wetin be your name sef,  that engine is one of the best things that has happened to Toyota,  its the pride of toyota and a kickstart point for most mechanics that are even learning- because it can tolerate lots of stress etc. even when a silly mechanic makes a horrible mistake.

but if you cannot find a truthful mechanic, insist on an engine replacement,  (60k - 85k), and put it there, 

if you still feel DUPED, contact me and lets review your car and sell it. ok?

Friend, I want to commend you very much for displaying and advertising your vehicles "as is", I salute u, I sure would patronize u soon, happy sales,

to add to this high mile ride, a well maintained car of 300,000 miles is far better than same car of 100k miles that was used anyhow, where u end up spending almost same amount of purchase in a mechanic,
that camry engine in that pic- if well maintained can go extra 300k miles,

@ poster, make u tell your mechanic to remove the thermostat, or u can remove it urself, the fan is controlled by the relay linking the temp sensor, once it gets to a defined temp, it triggers it on full blast, when the AC is ON, whether the engine is cold or not the fan would work although at a reduced speed.

Naija is too hot so, the engine temp would surely get to the required level fast enough for excellent combustion to occur, hence I dont really think we require a thermostat,
