It is certainly in our character to see things negatively.The problem is probably because with years of failed promises by PDP,our sensibilities have been negated, such that we don't believe things can work in Nigeria.I beg to differ.All you need to do is to take a look at Lagos-State ,where you can visibly see government presence all over, to know that all Buhari simply needs to do is to borrow the model of Lagos-State and fine-tune it to suit Nigeria as a nation.All we need is a leader with purpose and almost everything would fall into line.The failure of Jonathan is that he is not a role model that any Nigerian could follow from all ramifications.All the issues such as power supply that we think that PDP has turned into rocket-science can be tackled with simple sense of purpose.Look at APC model of tackling power for example.It is very simple.Simply diversify and let pockets of locations generate the power they need.By now,if the PDP government had not truncated APC power project in Lagos,we would have conquered power issue by now.Then Federal government insisted that every power generated by Lagos must be linked to the national grid.OUR NEEDS ARE NOT THAT COMPLEX AND I BELIEVE WITH PURPOSE,HONESTY AND VISION WE WOULD GET THERE IN A SHORTWHILE!

I'm happy that Tinubu and others that formed APC did their work very well. I'm Igbo but I like the political calculations of tinubu. Since APC presented a real challenge, PDP n GEj has been on their feets. No more business as usual. The real politics of quality is about to be introduce in Nigeria , to be aided by the card reader of INEC.

About a year after,I would say the problem has been resolved.Let me correct some misconceptions.I am Yoruba and so are my in-laws.This is no Nollywood story as someone erroneously said on this forum.That is annoying!

Finally,I was able to rent a place for her to stay and after a week of feet -dragging.she finally moved to her new place.I even helped with the packing.Seeing some urgent needs for some renovation I was forced to even help,but strangely to the chagrin of my wife(women are strange).

A year after,my in-law is now on good terms with us.She now comes on some weekends to spend some time with us.

WHAT ARE THE LESSONS OF THIS EXPERIENCE?
1.When you make a stand,stick to it

2.You appreciate yourselves more ,when you are apart.

3.Dont allow anybody to dictate to you, how to run your home.

The assumption is that you have got all your travel documents sorted out and you have a date to jet out to your destination.

1.Pack light-Dont travel with a heavy luggage. It is preferable you travel with a hand bag that could contain your basic needs.You will save yourself undue disturbance from airport checks.Plan to buy a huge bag when you get to your destination.

2.Dress simply -Wear something casual and not gorgeously so as not to draw unecessary attention to yourself. You can spot a first-timer from afar,from the way they are dressed.

3.Pack the following items because they may not be readily available when you get to your destination:toothpaste,brush,soap,cream.Leave out towel as most hotels provide this.

4.On the cloths to pack,make it light also.Go with few items with the hope of buying some at your destination. Go with a pair of light comfortable shoes and a jeans trousers. Preferably if you are visiting a temperate region,it is better you plan to buy your sweater at your destination. It is cheaper and of better quality.

5.If you are one booking your hotel,ensure you book a hotel located at the city centre. It is often close to all places you may want to visit such as the malls,tourist spots and even the airport. You literally save yourself a lot on transportation.

6.Be observant and dont jump forward for anything. You will find a lot of things quite strange,so watch out how others do it and follow suit.You will observe this in the operation of many gadgets. If you're not so sure,ask for help . People are ready to help you.

7.Preferably go with your raw cash and dont build your hope on using ATM when you get to your destination. You may be disappointed. Your cash can never disappoint you!

8.Go with a phone with wifi facility. You will have ample opportunity to download fast, a lot of freebies.

9.Be careful not to announce to the whole world that you are travelling. A lot of people expect you to buy things for them and this may eat into your budget.

10.It is better to have more than enough cash than not to have enough. It is not funny to be stranded in a strange land!

I am a frontline critic of Buhari but I try to avoid calling him a bigot or Muslim Fanatic because for me I personally feel that topic alone clouds other very poor qualities of Buhari which is the fact that the man does not really offer much in terms of leadership, brilliance, grasp of the issues or solution on how to move the country forward.

But when Sule Lamido says this about Buhari then we have to listen. Hausa Fulani muslim Northerners are not known to criticise fellow Muslims on issues of Faith and ethnicity. Yet Lamido can not be described as one of Jonathan's staunchest ally.

But the allegations that Buhari campaigns in the North as the defender of the Islamic faith but comes to the South to preach about National Unity really needs to be explored. These are very serious allegations!

Now Lamido went on to criticise Jonathan Goodluck because of the comments of Edwin Clarke and Asari Dokubo. I agree that Asari and Clarke needs to be called to order but there is a difference between ethnic warlords making threats on behalf of the candidates and a Presidential candidate directly playing religious card openly in the North while saying something else in the South.

This is serious

There is nothing divisive about this.It is called differentiation. Every region has its interest.For the north,it is religion and for the East it is commerce.I dont expect a savvy politician to go to the East and be preaching Anti-Curruption.Whereas,this may fly in South-West.
