Create the fun environment that u expect with her, and you'll not notice some of the stubbornness again. Marriage is sweet if the partners understand each other.
Understand the fact that there is no perfect human. We all have our flaws. Accept the flaw, seek to make each other a better version of yourselves and do away with ego.

My wife is not perfect but I love her like that.
Naturally, she is ready to keep malice for as long as possible and gets angry easily but I found my way around that, and I brought out the best in her.

I am quick to say I am sorry. Lol. Every quarrel vanishes immediately.
I am ready to play the fool when she gets angry, she becomes sober afterwards.

Over time she became a better version of her usual self.
She don calm down for daddy.
She can sacrifice her eyes for me.
She supports me like kilode.
Never questions my authority.
Never complains about lack and wants and the things lacking in the home.
Likes to be heard, just listen to her and she is good.
Just call her her pet name, and watch her melt like candle wax.
She can cook for Africa. Oh my world.
This woman will not be happy any time she is not able to cook for me for one reason or the other, she knows I don't like eating out. She does everything possible to see to that.

I know EXACTLY why I lost my enthusiasm for Nigeria. It was Occupy Nigeria in Jan 2012. I've preached about this ad nauseum. Thankfully someone like David Hundeyin recognizes the inflection point that was....

The rejection of the governments deregulation policy at that time was the zenith of ignorance and collective self harm. That was when I finally realized that something is wrong with THE NIGERIAN. So I packed up and left the country.

If I was going to ever rethink my decision, the elections of 2015 made it irrevocable. A solid electoral majority of Nigerians voted for the leaders of a political party that told them FUEL SUBSIDY DOESN'T EXIST. Muhammadu Buhari, a former President and Petroleum Minister, actually campaigned on that slogan and won! Prof Tam David West another former Petroleum Minister also said there's nothing like subsidy! Bola Tinubu actually led the Ojota protests and is now President!

And true to the predictions of Goodluck Jonathan, the fuel subsidy bankrupted Nigeria. President Buhari himself was forced to admit exactly that in his last budget speech.

So tell me, do you think the populace that has been so easily deceived has any reservoir of intellect that can develop Nigeria? As a purely probabilistic calculation, it seems unlikely. That's just the measured truth, it has nothing to do with my political opinions.

Look, don't kid yourself. . Nigerians are a severely damaged people. Nigeria is finished. Good Luck to all those who must endure it. As for me, I'm done...done and done. And thankful I have the means to enforce my choice. 🙏

*Well, my Igbo people say there's no need to argue about wrestling prowess when there's plenty of ground available for a match. My reposte is simple - if Nigerians living in Nigeria believe they're equal or better than Anglo-Western peoples or their governments, prove it by building countries so good that few Nigerians will ever think of migrating out. Hmmm, Argentina I know a bit about their economy. They're bankrupt and inflation there is running at over 100%. In general, they have a government with a radical socialist ideology, similar to Nigeria's APC. Go read the news for yourself. There's also a growing wave of migration from Argentina to Spain and Europe in general. Here's a sample -

Every single large immigrant community goes through this stage. That's why insular ethnic neighborhoods exist in major USA cities, such as Little Italy and Chinatowns. The later born-in-USA generations eventually mix in with the rest of mainstream America. Nothing new. It's a sacrifice made for the prosperity of their progeny.



I lived in Nigeria as a fairly well to do person. Do you mean achieving celebrity status or something? Because lots of well to do people I know in Nigeria earning hundreds of thousands of dollars per year were pretty much as irrelevant unless they're in politics or something like that.

As for the bit about living in a building, anyone can own land in the USA but NOBODY can ever own land in Nigeria - that the LAW, your Governor has the power to take over your building at ANY TIME. So much for 1st class citizenship.



This culture thing always makes me laugh. Next they will say you can't eat good Nigerian food in USA.

I've lived in the USA for over 30 years so speaking for myself, I understand the culture very well, at least here in North Carolina. Anyone else here for even 10 years will get the essentials of it - work hard, obey the law, be friendly and helpful in the community, invest for the future of your family if you want to have one. What else is there? And I know Nigerian culture very well too, so I think I'm in a good position to know which one works well for me....and for most people like me.

There was a major story done by the US Newsweek magazine on Dora Akunyili during her time as Director of NAFDAC. One of her deputy directors who was interviewed in that story just retired and moved to the United States two weeks ago and was introduced in church, live. I will not mention the name, but if you can find the Newsweek story online you can make your guess.

I know a full Colonel of the Nigerian Army who retired and lives here now. I know a major property owner in Lagos who not only moved here a few years ago but brought his married children and their spouses and grandkids with him. One of my secondary school classmates was a CBN governor, his father lives here with us. I attended school with children of the elites in Nigeria, most of my classmates do NOT live in Nigeria.

I know at least oil & gas 3 drilling engineers who earned over $1K per day in Nigeria who have left the country and moved to Canada, UK and USA. As in, I've seen the paychecks. These are people who are likely worth millions of dollars.

Former President Buhari is probably one of the richest and most powerful men in Nigeria, has along with his family lived most of their lives abroad in UK and Spain. Even as military President back in 1984 when he was preaching to Nigerians not to migrate, all his family including the toddlers were living abroad. I bet you he will also spend most of his retirement abroad.

By the way, where do you think TY Danjuma lives? And his children? Wanna guess?

It was in the news last year that Aliko Dangote moved his liquid investment capital to the USA. I won't be surprised if he migrates too.
