To all those claiming it was a cult hit,did this guy school in Nigeria? I am saddened by the young minds here lacking any sense of proper conduct. Being Internet savvy doesn't translate to having had a good education.Proper education especially from a good home teaches you empathy and sympathy,with some comments I have read,how are some of the members of this forum any different from the killer.Watch what you say cos next time it could be your brother,colleague,mum,in-law or even you.

@rhyme
The fool says in his heart,there is no god.I hope in your case however that you would repent from your folly cos in the sight of God you are too minute and insignificant,yet you daily occupy his mind and kind heart of forgiveness,wishing he would have a relationship with you through his son Jesus whose very existence you deny.You can either have him as a father in this life or as judge in the hereafter.Please choose wisely.

Sorry I use an I pad,too efficient a device,what I was saying is in the last quarter of last year,the profit apple made is more than our entire oil export for the year. Maybe that San exaggeration but you people had better know how to interpret the news before you attack the wrong party.
PhonesRe: Apple Identifies Samsung-Products (Phones) To Ban by kushe: 8:17pm On Aug 28, 2012
@ebama

U must be on another planet to talk about samsung making more profit than apple or more appropriately,are you hallucinating?there is no company on the planet with apple's momentum at the moment,not even google or Microsoft. Apple had more cash than the US govt in the last quarter of last year and made more money as profit(not sales) than your count
Music/RadioRe: 10 Ways To Create A Nigerian Hit Song by kushe: 10:20pm On Aug 13, 2012
@OP

U can't force a song to become a hit.A hit will have intercourse with ur eardrums at the first encounter and even if the first experience isn't it,it will grow on you.It always happens,haterqs can say what they like but how else can you respond to the immediate appeal of oleku,those samklef tracks for wizkid like don't dull and pakurumo or my best example dami duro. Keep hating on davido but in ten years y'all going to get nostalgic when you hear that song which is a bonafide hit.the first time I heard the song,it just kept playing in my head and one day in traffic,I started flipping radio channels to see if the song would get played and sure enough I stumbled on a program hosted by illrhmz called radio out loud and davido was the guest.I heard dami duro again and it didn't matter if I was in a horrible traffic,the song had a sedating calming effect on me.u can try all the gimmicks and still not get a hit.rooting for that orezi song where he was saying gibberish,think it is fantastic and should be more popular.

Who read today's front page article of the guardian? It reads Nigerians bemoan rate of unemployment,seek action. I fall into the category of comfortable semi returnees but then make we no lie,what is the size of nigeria's privileged class. I once told someone to add all the plum jobs in the IOCs,telecomms,banking and allied financial services,Fast moving consumer goods sectors,the breweries and maybe international charities like the DFIDs and USAIDs of this world.Are those jobs,two million ? I seriously doubt it,yet 3.2 million people have been unleashed on the labour Market in 2010/2011.

Let me break it down for you,Nigeria's revenue is declining,foolishness and corruption is on the increase,our population is ballooning, infrastructure is decaying. Graduates cannot find work,hence the multiplier effect of their engagement is non existent meaning existing businesses will suffer the impact of lower anticipated revenues and to stay afloat,more jobs will have to be slashed and hence further shrinking of the economy.Brace up Nigeria, with these fools in government,Nigeria is simply to hell what a shower is before a dip in the pool.

Nowhere is immune to the meltdown but Nigeria's response is a classic calamity.Wonder why ritual killings and kidnappings are on the rise and for all my people,sitting pretty in 1004, Lekki , Ikoyi and all the posh estates scattered around the metropolis,how do you intend to enjoy your privileged status with so many hungry mouths around. We can live in gated communities, but we have house helps,nannies, cooks ,drivers,dispatch riders and cleaners at work. We can run,but we cant hide from this monster we have allowed the Nigerian government to create.

Started coming back to naija often in 2010 and was positioning for a return to the pre 2007 boom.nawaa ooo,dis una country sef.Me I don switch to the GOD mode cos if naa education,I get am,experience,loads of it but then kicking off stuff is no walk in the park.My London life is cool but things no be like before ooo,Olympics go come,goooo, carnival go come, goo and then that chilling reality of our financial winter will set in and people will go back to being depressed.I have never seen the world like this and I am forced to conclude that this is the hand of the Almighty.My only consolation is that this won't last forever but then how much longer would the crisis continue ?

BusinessRe: Top 10 Nigerian Brands by kushe: 7:27am On Jul 17, 2012
Interesting,so let's go to school. I wouldn't call the list useless but the author of this thread really shouldn't refer to himself as a brand consultant. The world is such a different place now that you hardly have a local brand that can claim to belong to just one country. Globalisation is the order of the day and Africa started experiencing the effects of this from say a hundred years ago. Now do we have strictly Nigerian brands(I.e took a unique concept,turned it into a product or service,has stood the test of time and is internationally renowned) .well I don't think so.

We grew up on omo (unilever),close up(unilever) , maggi(nestle) , 504(peugot) ,ijapa(Volkswagen), blue band(unilever or Paterson zocchonis or PZ which by the way is Greek). None of these companies or their products are Nigerian and not even UAC which started out as the ROyal Niger COmpany, a British trading expedition into Nigeria and unilever and UAC were the same company in most other African countries,so unilever is the twin brother of UAC just like adidas is the twin of puma. But what about their off shoots like MR Biggs ?

Mr Biggs is product of the defunct Kingsway stores which started selling snacks in Kingsway rendevous all around Lagos till our dear old macdonald's gave the then roving executives a brilliant idea called Mr Biggs which was opened in 1986.kas chicken and eddie king burger were already making waves and if they had what today's entrepreneurs have,maybe they would have been the truly Nigerian super brands in the food industry.however in terms of brand equity and the strength in the brand name,how easily identifiable the brand logo or colors are, Mr Biggs is the biggest food brand in Nigeria followed by Tantalizers .Most people are of the opinion TAstee Fried Chicken is the best,but usually the best companies are usually not the most popular.

Indomie as even implied by the first letters of the brand is an indonesian brand,so does it qualify? First bank started in 1896 as some British bank with a British name, Union bank was Barclays which leaves us with the one and only GTB started by two young NIGERIAN men Fola Adeola and the late Tayo Aderinokun,now that is a nigerian brand and in my own opinion the strongest made in Nigeria brand. I am not that old but I saw the beginning of GTB and I have seen how it has blossomed into the beautiful success story that most of you all now want to work within.how many brands would the main founder graciously hand over the baton to his deputy way before the era of consolidation or Sanusi's tsunami? How many brands would the man at the top die in office and yet everybody knows 'NO SHAKING' ?

Need I say more? nigeria's biggest and best indigenous brand I'd Guaranty Trust Bank.

Our collective future is being desecrated on a daily by our past ( these jokers in power are primitive characters ) , should we in the present stand and watch the mortgaging away of our future by these useless plunderers. if this anger does not persist to get rid of these solutions bankrupt bunch,gird your loins cos the unveiling of the disaster called Nigeria has just begun.
PoliticsRe: India Must Go by kushe: 5:30pm On Jun 05, 2012
Even though I do not support foreigners of any nationality taking advantage of us,truth be told,we are our own worst enemies. I had been following the agitations of nigerians in the past few weeks as the economy seemed to batter harder than ever before with living conditions worsening on a daily basis and yet it took a plane crash to collectively evoke our disgust towards the government of the day.
I commiserate with all those who have lost loved ones,but everyday is a monumental disaster in our dear country.The Greeks and the rest of Europe feel the sky has fallen already but compared to their paradise,Nigeria is the mirror image of hell .The confederation of fools at the helm are the racists , who preserve their clan at the expense of us all.They are always proclaiming new stuff without following through on the last, promise after promise, yet we sink deeper into this hellish abyss and the court jesters who previously were deluded they were on our side(I.e Reuben Abati) open their stenchy mouths to further cement their lie

Kindly shut up,browse through and stop telling the young man how to run his business. If you hate the current nairaland,go start your own blog cos you can't even begin to try driving traffic to a forum like this.We all realise the kinds of people we have commenting on this site,but this is just a microcosm of our country.if the country doesn't change, nl cannot change.
CelebritiesRe: Don Jazzy Confirms Mo'hits Rumour by kushe: 4:13pm On Mar 17, 2012
i wish we could predict the outcome of this entire fiasco, but sadly despite whoever of the feuding parties we pitch our tent with,favour could swing in the other's direction.

Remember Ike and Tina Turner,Ike was supposed to be the genius who groomed and eventually abused Tina, but like old wine tina turner became more successful and more beautiful as she aged.she was even renowned for the sexiest pair of legs on the planet while in her fifties.

Jay Z didnt have the 'thing' till he met a certain damon dash who was a helluva person,and when their thing went south,so did damon dash's networth while jay z went on to world acclaim,gracing the cover of forbes and marrying beyonce.15 years ago,damon dash was the engine driving the roc, but now where is he?

Justin Timberlake had a massive first outing as a solo artist with the neptunes running the show for him,while timbaland produced only 1 track i.e cry me a river. but why did he decide to fix wat wasnt broke by sacking the neptunes and marrying timbaland,dont ask me cos i dont know. the neptunes' popularity as first choice producers declined while the career of JT and timbaland soared.

if i was to predict,i would say a winning team is dead and both of dem wld never be the same again but with their antecedents,i will be pitching with don jazzy cos this is naija and u just dont bite,chew and spit out the hand that fed you.

@killz

i think u need to chill on the rhetoric,it makes u sound very juvenile

most of us hav wondered how we scaled a six foot fence in the face of impending danger. well it is the work of adrenaline,ur flight,fright or fight response hormone and in the case of this young man,he just responded the way his rage hormones pushed him as it surged through his body.

never be hypocritical about a situation you hav never been in cos u never can say what you would do in the face of extreme provocation and women can be extremely provocative especially the really pretty ones.

I have seen all sorts of amazing looking girls in london where i live , ikeja , ojuelegba and tejuosho market. i hav even been to peru and brasil where correct women be like san san, but still there is something about this chick that makes my heart skip.

there is nothing like a fine naija babe , and the absurdity of her being in the army or reserve forces makes her the more appealing.

if me i get this kin one,naa to frame am,put her on top cabinet.

she should be the picture beside the wiki description of a trophy chick.
